Ga Ya Ya in Berlin

Food was really really not nice. I was sad a couple of days about it. Not fresh at all. 😢 My friend didn't like the food either. We had different dishes. Didn't eat much at all because we couldn't. Service was good (friendly) and atmosphere was alright. Maybe the chef wasn't there. It was very quiet and we ate between 14 - 15. Hope everyone else will experience better food at that place than we got unfortunately.

Were greeted at the entrance and immediately directed to a sign which said only cash. Which is a strange way to do business, esp for a well estd restaurant with declared gustatory ethics. Our soup was really, really salty, which was strange cos we had found berlin food to be salt free or low salt for our palates. Mung beans wrapped in sticky rice and dusted (NOT rolled) in sesame seeds as the menu description said. In fact, the seeds tasted more like poppy seeds than sesame and the mung bean ball tasted more like the mung lentil. All white diners when we were there and pbly it is useful for people who want to shift to veg or vegan options, have allergies or may not even care abt the ingredients. Food quality was ok, not worth the $ cash we paid for it.

Hervorragende Asiatische Küche. Als Berliner bin ich ja wirklich mit asiatischem Essen verwöhnt, aber das vegetarische Restaurant Ga Ya Ya hat nochmal eins draufgesetzt. Das war richtig lecker.

We stayed at Ga Ya Ya on marathon weekend. It was a wonderful retreat with peace, serenity, excellent food, and perfect service. From now on, it's a must-visit for our Berlin trips.

This place is about more than food. The atmosphere of this establishment is unique, allowing you to regenerate and relax. I took the tasting menu and all three items (sushi, noodles and oat meat) were phenomenal! Vegan mango lassi is also pure joy. The entire menu is vegan and almost all of it is gluten free. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for healthy and delicious food - I was completely won over by this place.

The food was very nicely presented, but we both found it far too curry-heavy; it tasted like curry powder, which we weren't expecting. However, the prices are reasonable for Berlin Mitte.

Gayaya is a very charming little restaurant with very caring owners. Yesterday, the cook went to great lengths to meet our little son's culinary needs. Because the food is freshly prepared, she was very flexible in putting together a dish for him. I always love going there. A little insider tip.

Came for dinner three times in a row when I visited Berlin. Amazing food, calming and cosy atmosphere, quiet, kind service. All the food fresh, tasty and well presented. The Ga Ya Ya curry is a standout for me with a variety of crunchy vegetables, aromatic Thai basil leaves and a spicy peanut sauce. Mango lassi also a treat. If it were in my neighborhood it might convert me to vegan. CASH ONLY but there's an ATM in the Tabak 1 minute walk up the street, and a 24h ATM within a 3 minute walk.

Vegan Asian eatery, woman-owned and minority-owned. Instead of serving traditional Vietnamese food, the lady boss / head chef drew inspiration from Vietnam and surrounding areas, with a focus on fusion whole-food plant-based dishes. Loved how flavourful and wholesome the food was! The Ga Ya Ya Curry came with red wholegrain rice drenched in rich coconut and peanut curry, topped with homemade sliced ‘meat’ made from gluten-free oats flakes. The Mekong Noodles consisted of springy mung bean noodles naturally coloured with herbs and spices (e.g., yellow turmeric and red beetroot), piled high with fresh seasonal vegetables alongside chilli and lime dressing. The Burmese-style Lentil Soup was thick and tasty too. Staff members were so warm and kind and generous, serving a surprise salad and moist vegan banana bread, and even giving my mum a stalk of rose. Easily one of my favourite memories in Berlin! Thank you Mama Chang and Herr Hau. Located near Oranienburger Tor.

A very good restaurant, especially for vegetarians. The owner is very welcoming and the dishes are quite generous. It is recommended to order some first and then add more.

Went there 5th of June when they were closed for siesta, and I wasn’t aware. I saw the waitress sitting on the coach and signaled to her asking, às it was my first time. And she chose to frown, show me a gesture of flicking her hand at me, then looked back at her phone. Extremely rude. Someone needs to remind her what hospitality means.

We were delighted to have stumbled upon this place by chance. You walk in and it's immediately quiet, with gentle music playing. I had the Mekong noodles, which were very tasty, incredibly fresh and light. They completely avoid additives here, and even make their own vegan mince. The service is also very relaxed and polite. A wonderful place for a relaxed and quiet meal.

Delicious food. The only disadvantage is that you cannot pay by card! There is an ATM at a bank around the corner. We only found out when paying, so one of us quickly went to the bank around the corner to withdraw money. There is also a sign at the entrance stating that you cannot pay by card. We both had a starter, 2 drinks in total and both had a main course. In total we only lost 50 euros. The restaurant is completely vegan and you can enjoy delicious food! Highly recommended. The inside of the restaurant is very beautiful. The music is just a bit special. That's really the only downside I can think of. In short, if you like Asian with a special taste combination of sour and spicy and vegan, this is recommended.

I made a reservation for dinner, until we arrived at the restaurant we did not know that they did not accept card payments, only cash. I consider it necessary to mention it when making a reservation, we have come expressly to try the restaurant and we have had to leave without dinner and look for another option.

This was such a find after going to the Boros Collection. Wonderful to find a cozy, quiet, spa like, vegan restaurant right near by. We had vegan sushi and their special -- glass noodles with vegetables in a pink beet root sauce. Delicious mango lassi with ginger. Staff was very friendly and kind. Cash only.

We ate there today and I ordered the GaYaYa Curry with fresh vegetables. Unfortunately there were only mini beans in the curry and the rest were small black lentils. The portion was large but I was disappointed because I was expecting fresh vegetables.

An incredibly cozy shop, an oasis in Mitte that invites you to linger! Warning against discriminatory behavior We have visited this restaurant several times and had good experiences when we were there with a homogeneous, white group. Recently, however, we were repeatedly denied entry when I was there with guests who did not conform to the white appearance. Despite empty tables and the ability to reserve tables immediately online, we were told that no space was available. The tone was unfriendly and the looks at my companion unfortunately didn't allow any other conclusion: there was racist discrimination here. Anyone who values ​​diversity and respect should think twice about visiting this restaurant.

I've been to this extremely beautiful little restaurant twice now, which is not far from the hustle and bustle of Friedrichstrasse, but is a wonderful place of peace. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated, quiet and run by friendly and reserved people who are obviously and quite rightly proud of the quality of their food. Everything I ate tasted great: fresh and with lots of complexity and depth. Definitely try it out!

I received a very warm welcome and was given a free sushi tasting ^^. The bean noodles I had were also very good. Requests are taken into account and I would go here again every time ^^

It tastes amazing, very friendly host. Family atmosphere. Fair prices. It was one of the best taste experiences in 2022... and 2024? I've been there three times since 2022 and unfortunately I liked it less and less. Last Saturday was the knockout for me, the taste of both dishes didn't really appeal to me. We gave half of one plate back. The beans are just hard. I don't go there anymore. The price is still fair. But it doesn't help if it doesn't taste good.

This is a chill, charming little restaurant. The chef prides herself on cooking everything from scratch and not using industrially processed foods. As a result, the flavours are very fresh and clear. Service is friendly and quick, and the lunch specials are very reasonable.
