Element Five - Vegan Tapas Bar in Berlin

We had a big group of 8 on a Sat night and the food was outstanding! The spring rolls dumplings and corn dog and iced coffee was all standouts!

I was actually very enthusiastic about the delicious dishes, but I have to agree with the few bad reviews - I couldn't keep the food down for long and I suffered from gastrointestinal problems for two days.

Nothing special to be honest and unfortunately. Food is okay, but nothing really to do with proper Asian taste, service is there, but you don’t have Ambiente or the filling people are happy to welcome you as a guest, the best is probably the interior with the space where you can take off your shoes and sitting on the floor. Wouldn’t recommend it, there are a lot of better places around. Low light - no body told us, that you can’t pay with credit card, so just EC or cash, so we were paying PayPal.

Amazing food but sometimes takes quite a while. Dreaming of the sweet potato glass noodles 🫶

The best wonton I’ve ever eaten, easily the best vegan food in Berlin. Be aware they don’t take Visa cards, only cash.

Were there with a larger group. Depending on the dish, the taste of the food ranged from “mhh delicious to mhh not even that good” and everything was there. Service was a bit confusing but always tried hard. Price - performance 🔝

Great combination of vegan and Vietnamese cuisine. Great idea to offer it as tapas. This way you can feast on the menu with several people 🐛. The atmosphere inside seems very authentic. Outside, stop at Kreuzberg.

We loved our tapas at Element Five — so much variety and full of flavour! The dishes were clearly made with fresh, quality ingredients, and the sauces were all delicious. Special mention for the sweet staff who were really polite, and served us quickly :)

I had an upset stomach for a long time after eating here once. I decided to never eat in an Asian restaurant again after this experience. I posted a 1-star review about it on Google Maps, which they had removed citing "defamation". This is not fair. On this website, they don't allow the posting of 1-star reviews. I can't recommend anyone eating in a place which I now consider dangerous, and I think that I have the right to post my experience as a consumer, as well as warn other naive people.

Element Five is a pan-Asian vegan tapas restaurant similar to 1990 Vegan Living, albeit just a couple shades away in quality from their Friedrichshain neighbors. We ordered about 5-6 small dishes at a reasonable price & the meal arrived quickly. Service was friendly but curt & it would have been helpful to have been recommended another rice dish in addition to what we already ordered. I personally enjoyed everything we ate, my partner was a little less enthused on a handful of items. Overall I give the food a 4.25/5 & service about the same. Now - if you’re not from Berlin, it’s important to take note that this restaurant is situated on the northwest corner of Gorlitzer Park & the mix of humanity that will approach you while you’re trying to have dinner is good people to say the least!

Five of us ate there. The food was delicious, but everyone had severe stomach cramps and diarrhea afterwards.

Never again!!! The food tasted really good! Only if everything comes out again after half an hour, something is wrong. I'm not exactly the most sensitive, but that was unpleasant. And with all my companions too. So I can't recommend it under any circumstances unless you feel like detoxing with the help of food poisoning.

Very tasty food, very friendly staff and absolutely fair prices.

The food here is excellent. They really know how to do vegan food. Drinks were freshly made and interesting. We enjoyed it and intended to return on our next trip. We probably will but perhaps not. The down side came on paying. Turns out they only take an EC card, whatever that is. They insisted we either leave ID or one of us stays behind whilst the other goes to the cash point. The nearest cash point charges. No way would either of us leave ID in this day and age so the only option was for one of us to go looking. It was about 10:30pm, we’re both woman and we’re in a city we don’t know. So, it was a crumby end to a good meal. No tip as spent it on the cash machine charges. Had we been made aware of the payment option then we would have both withdrawn cash, together, before sitting down.

What a super nice tent. Delicious food for a very reasonable price. We only received the food before the drinks, something had gone wrong.

The food was incredibly disappointing. The dishes lacked flavor and authenticity, with everything tasting bland and uninspired. The ingredients seemed stale and of poor quality. As if that wasn't bad enough, shortly after dining, I experienced severe stomach discomfort that quickly escalated to full-blown food poisoning. I spent the next day feeling miserable and regretting my decision to eat there.

I didn't like the food or the atmosphere here. It's a little fishy. I ordered a dish that was supposed to come with a "creamy avocado-spinach sauce", which meant that it was soaked in a green liquid smelling like chemicals and extremely, extremely salty.

The four of us ate our way through a number of appetizers. Was great. I can especially recommend the corn dogs. The service was also very nice. 👍

Great discovery in Berlin. Very good quality vegan and Asian tapas bar, it gives the impression that it is truly homemade and traditional cuisine. The restaurant inside is beautiful, and has a nice terrace to enjoy the good weather. Two of us have eaten a lot of food for 40 euros, which in my opinion is very good. Pleasant and attentive staff. Vegan Tapas sounded promising, but it's essentially the standard prefab Asian grub you get everywhere but packaged as tapas style portions. Cheap and mediocre. You get what you pay for.

Worst experience I’ve had in Berlin in 3 years. The waiter was so rude and disrespectful. I’ve worked in Service and this is not good. The mansplaining, passive aggressiveness attitude he had makes me never want to go back to this place.

Überhebliches und unfreundliches Verhalten des Chefs! Meine, im 9. Monat schwanger Frau, hätte dort gern die Toilette aufgesucht. Aus Höflichkeit fragte sie ob sie die Toilette benutzen dürfe und wurde direkt wieder hinaus geschickt. Als ich nachfragte was das Problem sei, sagte mir der Geschäftsführer es sei kein Notfall und die Toilette nur für Kunden, und sie hätte zuhause auf Klo gehen sollen! Solche Leute wollen wir hier nicht, kann ja sein das dass Kind hier auf die Welt kommt… Danke für garnichts!

Very tasty food with a large selection. For smaller groups it is really pleasant and fun to share the food. Unfortunately, the portions are a bit small, which I noticed especially with the vegan duck. But for me it’s an absolute must-go for vegan life in Berlin.

Every single dish was delicious. Perfectly balanced flavours and great portion sizes. Non-vegans would enjoy the food here immensely because it’s so delicious. Bring cash as they only accept local bank cards. We ate here twice in three days because we enjoyed it so much. We shared 1 large bowl and split 4/5 small bowls and were suitably satisfied - each visit including a drink each cost 40/45 euro. Staff very pleasant and this place deserves to be on the map! When we visit Berlin again we’ll be back!

Can't say anything about the food (but would have liked to try it) - but when asked if I could go to the toilet with my small child: 1 euro! I even got a voucher for it at Sanifair. Not very people friendly...

Great selection of vegan dishes, very carefully prepared, vegetables partly raw or lightly cooked, deliciously seasoned. Homemade lemonade is served without sugar, 5 points for that! Service friendly and very fast. The store is clean and minimalistic. I felt it was a bit cold, especially on my feet.

Been here a few times and it never disappoints. The staff is very friendly and I like the atmosphere inside, makes me feel back in Vietnam!

The food here is really delicious, there are a lot of different dishes. So there should be something for everyone. Furthermore, you don't have to wait long for the food. The only criticism: it is very dark in some corners of the restaurant. So it might be difficult for some people to read the map.

Food was better here. The fact that everything is vegan now (including coffee) isn't really my thing either.

The food is absolutely delicious, yet affordable and the service was truly heartwarming. Pak Choy was my absolute favorite.

Incredible vegan tapas, we took about 10 different things which was way too much for 2 people but they all tasted amazing.

The food was very tasty! Especially the tapas bowls for around €4. After 2 bowls you are actually already full. You could write the order yourself on a piece of paper and didn't have to wait so long for the food. In addition, the ambience was very pleasant due to the relaxed music and the furnishings. All in all very recommendable!

The concept is reminiscent of Transit, but completely vegan. Also a little more classic than the Transit. We only had the tapas and after 4 plates (€4.80 each) and a portion of rice each, we were more than full. The dishes came quickly and were partly tasty, partly okay. There were a lot of fried dishes in the selection.

The service was amazing, they were super nice, the place is cute, the food was delicious But then I got home and started throwing up, developed a fever so severe I woke up drenched in sweat, slept for like 3 days straight, and now have giant migraines :( That was the only place I ate from that day so I know it's from that. :( it made me super super sick.

The tapas concept is implemented in very good quality. Fine sauces, good selection and above all: the vegan cheese (Korean Corn Dog) is fantastic. I thought he wasn't vegan. Never had such good vegan cheese.

Asian fusion usually means you are in culinary trouble, and this place is even vegan - but do not despair, the food is amazing! My favourite vegan/vegetarian places citywide at the moment, it has plenty of delicious dishes in a broad range of creative approaches to replace the meat. The bandwidth and the playfulness are too vast to go into details, just pop by and try. Prices are low to mid range for Berlin 2024, there is a lunch menu with a discount. Service is actually friendly, yet Vietnamese- German. Depending on which part of the world you are from you might misunderstand this particular cultural brew;)

For a vegitarian, this is the place to be. A very large variation of dishes. All very tasty!

Food was really good! Quite nice atmosphere. Prices a little too high for the “amount” of food (tapas!). For 2 people it is necessary to at least order 6 tapas + side dish in order to get satisfied. Service was meh… they brought the food and did not come back even though we wanted to order more…

Sehr schöner Ort, mit super leckeren Tapas. Das Element Five ist gut zu erreichen und eine typische Tapas Bar in Berlin. Die Auswahl empfinde ich als angenehm, aber nicht übertrieben. Wir haben sehr schnell etwas für uns gefunden und waren vom frittieren "Shrimp" total begeistert! Auch die Getränke waren sehr lecker und lange warten mussten wir nicht. Das Restaurant ist groß und wirkt authentisch, im unteren Bereich gibt es sogar die Möglichkeit auf dem Boden an den Tischen zu sitzen wenn man das möchte. Wir haben es aber insgesamt als recht dunkel empfunden. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und es gibt sowohl eine englische als auch eine deutsche Speisekarte. Auch meine nicht vegane aber sehr offene Begleitung war sehr zufrieden und wir sind satt und glücklich aus dem Restaurant gegangen.

Mein lieblings Restaurant neben mein Arbeitsplatz. Mittags Angebot ist super, essen super lecker, original und gesund. Die Service sind frendlich, nett und einfach. Ich komme hier jede Woche für die Suppe und Reisgericht.

Sehr gutes, durchweg veganes Essen mit frischen Zutaten. Bemerkenswert, was in der veganen Küche alles gezaubert wird. Freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Essen ist rasch fertig, die Preise ok.

„Fleischimitate“ selbst für Berliner Verhältnisse außergewöhnlich gut, am besten fanden wir die Seitan-Variationen. Service etwas unaufmerksam, aber schnell. Zugig (besser warm anziehen).

We chose the restaurant ‚Element Five - Vegan Tapas Bar‘ for our dinner, since we were looking for some tasty Asian food. The service was super quick and the food very tasty. The restaurant offers a vide variety of dishes and the tapas concept is great! As we were a group of four people, we were able to try many different dishes. If you are in Berlin, definitely a must try!

Manchmal schreibe ich absichtlich keine google Rezension weil etwas so gut ist, dass es mir lieber wäre, es bliebe ein Geheimtipp. In dem Fall ist das so. Das Element Five ist für mich das beste vegane Restaurant in Berlin derzeit. Es ist das einzige asiatische Restaurant, in dem ich Tofu, Seitan usw. esse. Die Tapas sind zum verlieben. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man bestellt mit einem Zettel und Stift wie beim Sushi bestellen, auch das liebe ich. Die Tees sind toll. Es gibt einen Bereich, wo man auf dem Teppichboden sitzen kann. Die Preise sind angemessen. Das alles soll nicht bedeuten, dass es jedermanns Sache wäre. Ich könnte hier jetzt ein paar Sachen kritisieren, die andere vielleicht nicht so gut fänden. Für mich gehören die aber dazu und machen den Teil des Charmes aus. Das Essen ist jedenfalls fantastisch.

Wow, it would be hard to explain this place in words, it's the most delicious food we've ever eaten, we came back day after day during our stay in Berlin, all the dishes are insanely delicious, we couldn't stop talking about the duck and the shrimp, do yourself a favor and order twice in advance because it's absolutely perfect, all the food we ordered Accurate in taste, the prices are great, this is truly our favorite place and it is a must stop in Berlin

A fantastic menu of vegan dishes, great for sharing. Many of the dishes were delicious however a few lacked flavour (some of the dim sum and seitan dishes). However, i would still recommend the restaurant. To pay it is cash only, or a specific DE card (no visa) and the reciepts arent vat friendly.

Extrem lecker gegessen. Die selbst gemixten Drinks sind auch ein Highlight, empfehle Avocado-Kokos. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, schönes Ambiente, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

What a great restaurant! It had a cozy interior, many delicious vegan options, and friendly service. We kept ordering more because it was just too good (the vegan prawns were my favourite). Definitely recommend :)

Wir haben dort mit 16 Personen einen Geburtstag gefeiert und die Kellner:innen haben es uns sehr gemütlich gemacht. Das gesamte Essen kam zügig und war außerordentlich lecker. Es gab sogar ein Geburtstagsgeschenk aufs Haus. 5 von 5 Sternen. 🙃

Best vegan in Berlin. Tastes full of flavours, decent portions, quality vegetables not just cabbages but carrots, spinach, mushrooms and other high quality veg. Soups, wok food all with amazing flavours

Ein wirklich angenehmer Ort, um allein, zu zweit oder in einer Gruppe zu essen. Die Getränkeauswahl ist super - alkoholisch, alkoholfrei, selbstgemacht etc. - und die Auswahl an Speisen ist ebenso klasse. Die Speisekarte enthält ein Bild von jeder wählbaren Speise, was es auch dann einfach macht, wenn man die Gerichte nicht kennt. Man kann bar und mit Karte zahlen.

Das Essen war super und vom Preis leistungsverhältnis wirklich top! Sehr sehr freundliche Kellnerin. Die Tapasgerichte sind auch sehr gut für zwei Personen zum teilen. Außerdem gibt es gute Verbindungen der öffnetlichen Verkehrsmittel zum Restaurant. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Essen ist super lecker. Wir hatten verschiedene Tapas und dazu noch pro Person eine Hauptspeise (hört nicht auf euren Magen, das war viel zu viel, da die Hauptgerichte wirklich Oschis sind). Was man für sein Geld hier bekommt ist echt nice. Die Shakes sind auch sehr gut und beim Service kann man auch nicht meckern (sind auch echt fix mit der Bestellung und der tattoowierte Mitarbeiter ist ein Sweetheart).

Mehr geht nicht. Hauptspeisen waren alle 10/10 und auch die Tapas waren extrem lecker. Noch nie ein so gutes Gericht gegessen, bei dem veganer Käse integriert war! Haben 4 Asiaten getestet in Berlin - das ist mit Abstand der Beste! 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

BEST RESTAURANT IN BERLIN! ❤️ Today I went to this place for the very first time and I was blown away. Not only is it cheaper than the majority of restaurants I’ve eaten at, but the quality, portion and flavour of the food was incredible! The drinks were super delicious and fresh - I got the raspberry shake and the avocado-pineapple shake. Just alone for those I will come back! For the main dish I shared the Udon curry and the spinach Udon noodles with my partner. Both dishes were phenomenal! They were so incredibly delicious and great portions. Also served in very nice bowls. On top of that the restaurant has a nice vibe, lovely decorations and a seating area where you sit on the carpet, which I find very cool to have that cozy option. Thank you so much for the delicious food! :) Can’t wait to come back. And take all my friends and family here. Incredible ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
