Great inn! Nice service. Good flair... and the most important thing: beer tastes good!!

Very unfriendly staff and shouted at me. The food had a waiting time of over 1 hour and 30 minutes. In addition, the food was very overpriced. I will never go here again. That's why 1 star.

Sorry, but we didn't eat that bad during our entire vacation. Three meals all arrived about 10 minutes late. Vegetables more than al dente. Pork cheeks made very sour. Dumplings very dry and hardly any sauce. Baked goods very dry... Spinach dumplings consisted almost entirely of very dry spinach, hardly any butter. Cheese was far dry, under the salamander for far too long. Toilet dirty.

Catastrophic. We sat outside for half an hour before, after asking twice, we were told that there was no capacity left due to two large groups in the indoor room.

Super nice, rustic restaurant with a nice little theater in the courtyard. Prices are very high, everything else is great.

There were two of us and each meal came 10 minutes apart. The spinach dumplings were boring and would never have been filling as a main course. The specially ordered fried potatoes came 5 minutes after the main course and were also only edible with additional pepper and salt... the dressing on the mixed salad was completely tasteless... service was nice and tried hard. Overall disappointing...

We also went here because of the positive reviews on Google, but overall we were disappointed! There was no real commitment to a positive experience for the visitors, we had to return the first salad because of brown leaves and dried carrots - there was no real awareness of the problem among the staff. Our conclusion: Tried for a visit to a typical Munich inn your “happiness” somewhere else!!

Rustic inn in the middle of Munich. Prices for meals are surprisingly reasonable (Wiener Schnitzel under 24 EUR). Drinks are a little more expensive (glass of rosé 0.2 l over 6 EUR). To recommend.

Very great restaurant, classic Bavarian cuisine, good beer and great decor. The only drawback: it is very loud inside, due to its size.

I've been here twice recently and both times I was rather dissatisfied. On my first visit, I waited hungry for an hour for the main course and when I asked, it turned out that the waitress had forgotten my order. Well, it can happen... The day before yesterday I was here again with two friends. The friends ordered meat patties. Unfortunately, the two portions were quite small and neither of them were full. I had the organic roast pork myself. The meat was heavily streaked with fat, about half of the piece consisted of pure fat. When asked, the waiter said: "This is normal with organic meat." I tried to research this on the internet and couldn't find a single proof of this (if anyone reads this, please feel free to pass it on). All in all, we left the restaurant hungry and then went to the kebab around the corner.

Wonderfully old-established inn with original stucco ceiling! Super delicious food, also a range of vegetarian and even vegan dishes...during Advent there is one of the best mulled wines, strong beer at strong beer time and Oktoberfest beer when the Wies'n is raging in Munich. In the attached theater you can enjoy cabaret and cabaret and the atmosphere is always lively and young! Highly Recommended!

Unfortunately, we can only award one point for the most important thing when visiting a restaurant, the food. I have rarely eaten such bad spaetzle. Doughy, undercooked, tasteless cheese and you had to look for the onions. The service is OK. 5 points for the ambience and the fact that you can play cards. Still, I probably won't come back.

Our first impression was good, a cozy inn. Unfortunately, food was served at a delayed time for 4 people. Absolute NOGO, the dog bowl was emptied and rinsed in the dishwater at the counter!!! The waiter didn't take any notice of it.

The Fraunhofer, a real institution in Munich, since 1774. Plus a slightly modernized, yet typically Bavarian menu. The Ochsbackerl are the dream. My recommendation: go there, enjoy the food, the ambience and the friendly service.

An average schnitzel, the only special thing was the cranberries. But the Chinese love the shop and ultimately have no idea about good German cuisine.

The waiter is incredibly rude, he shouts at you that it is full and he has no time for you. It looks nice, but not again.

Sometimes long waiting times. 3 They had finished eating when the fish was finally served. You should bring your own pan, there wasn't one for grilling fish, said the waiter. I think the kitchen should be better organized.

I visited this traditional German restaurant with a big group. The first thing I do whenever I go somewhere for dining is reading reviews at Google maps. When I read reviews and saw the overall score I felt that this was a bad choice .. when I arrived I was happily surprised as the the ambiance was really nice . When seated I was asked if I d like to drink sth twice but I d rather wait for friends to join. The menu is big witb many options to choose from . The problem started when the orders were made . I clearly stated from the first moment that I want as an appetizer soup . As a starter. Before the main course. Everybody was getting their main courses and I was waiting and waiting. When I told the waiter that I m still waiting for my soup instead of at least empathizing and apologizing for the delay - for a premade soup- he was joking and he was ironic! When the soup arrived after 5 min of course if didn't make any sense and I returned it back as it was too late and I wouldn't eat soup simultaneously with the main course. I almost had a fight with the waiter and had the worse customer service ever. Then the main course arrived which was bad. Didn't like the meat at all. To cut the long story short I can for sure NOT recommend this place. you can read reviews about hundred places I visited. This is one of the worse experiences I ever had and it's always customer service. Delays can happen mistakes can happen but then if you have properly trained and courteous and polite staff they can switch the experience. This clearly did not happen .

Very good ambience, the rooms fit perfectly with a traditional Bavarian inn. However, there was only one waiter responsible for 40+ guests on a Sunday and therefore the service left something to be desired. The food arrived with a big difference in time, but the service was always friendly despite the stress. The food was ok, for example the schnitzel was tasty, but hardly beaten and therefore a bit tougher than it should have been. Overall, the ambience and the rooms are probably worth a visit, but unfortunately the food and restaurant experience is not really.

Very homely, historic dining room, casual atmosphere, no exuberant but guest-oriented service, a manageable menu with decently prepared dishes - a friendly inn without ambitions where you can spend a nice evening.

The Fraunhofer has a great room that makes it special, albeit with a patina. The food, like everywhere else, is no longer cheap, but the meat is at least organic. The host and service in general is difficult. I wasn't there for a while because it was the last time I had to justify my choice of drinks. This time we were scolded because we hadn't ordered drinks together. The content is understandable, but the tone is not acceptable. It becomes ridiculous when the meal for three people is spread over 30 minutes. There is no eating together. A forgotten order and a chipped glass rounded off the evening.

Went to the BalFolk Frühschoppen here, beautiful, old dining room with an innovative menu. We didn't eat anything, but the service and ambience were great!

What can you say? Organic quality was OK but the taste, well I can do better, they should work on the spices and the taste! Portion was too small for 13.90 € 2 half spinach dumplings and mini salad, thank you once and again!!!!!!

Essen großteils gut aber die Bedienung ist grotesk schlecht - das unfreundlichste und unfähigste was wir je im Wirtshaus erlebt haben. Schade für so ne Institution die sonst zum verweilen einlädt.

Hat leider im Laufe der letzten zehn Jahre das Niveau einer reellen Wirtschaft nach unten verlassen. Service extrem überfordert….drei Personen am Tisch erhalten Gerichte (sehr kleine Portion) verteilt über 30 Minuten…. :-(

schönes Traditionslokal, sehr gute Küche und gestern sehr aufmerksamer Service obwohl jede Bedienung große Bereiche abdecken musste.

Von 5 Gerichten hatten drei kaltes Fleisch, 1 Schnitzel war zäh wie Leder und Gulasch war nur Fett. Beide Bediehnungen waren unfreundlich. Ein trauriges Erlebnis

Das Essen war ein Albtraum, nie wieder! Das Schweinebraten war nur Fett, kalt, die Bedienung schien das nicht zu interessieren. Ich hätte mir nicht vorstellen können, sowas in einem so stark besuchten Restaurant in München zu erleben, alles schrecklich! Und die Bedienung hat beim Zahlen noch nach Trinkgeld gefragt, so frech!

Das Essen hat weder mir noch meinen Kollegen geschmeckt. Kalbsschnitzel war sehr zäh, man konnte es leider kaum durchkauen.

Essen ist grundsätzlich gut. Aber wer Wert darauf legt, gemeinsam zu essen, ist hier falsch. Tipp: Alle sollten das Gleiche bestellen. Dann hat man nur noch das grundsätzliche Problem mit der Wartezeit. Hier muss man sich an die Küche anpassen.

Nachdem ich schon schöne Stunden im Frauenhofer verbracht habe, war gestern der Abend eine große Enttäuschung. Der Service war einfach nur schlecht!!! Die Suppe mit Spinat Knödel, kam erst an den Tisch als die anderen ihre schon gegessen hatten und der Schweinebraten, war nur schlecht und rechtfertigen den Preis überhaupt nicht. Er entsprach eine Kantinenessen! Über den Kellner verliere ich jetzt keine Worte, das sagt alles. Aber sie können es weit besser, was ich an Kirchweih erleben durfte.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Relativ schneller Service. Nettes uriges Ambiente. Gulasch und Fisch sind sehr zu empfehlen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich!!!

Urige Münchner Gaststätte. Das Personal war sehr bemüht. Das Essen war in Ordnung, für die Preise erwartet man allerdings mehr. Das können andere Gaststätten im gleichen Preisniveau definitiv besser. 6€ für Saftschorlen sind frech.

Nett zum Verweilen und Geselligsein. Essen sollte man aber woanders. Gerichte kommen in zu großen Abständen, selbst wenn nichts los ist. Qualität schwankt sehr. Service ist freundlich.

Lecker, Nettes Personal. Am liebsten ist die Barkeeperinen.

Wir waren zu dritt da mit meinen Eltern. Das Personal fand ich freundlich aber sie schienen mir leider komplett überfordert. Sehr junge Bedienungen, die wenig Erfahrung zu haben schienen. Auch die Küche schien unterbesetzt zu sein. Wir bekamen zuerst ein Gericht und nach halber Stunde den nächsten. Es schien mir eher ein Management Thema. Das Zanderfilet war versalzen aber noch ok. Aber von dem Backhendel rate ich ab (es sei dem du magst viel panierte Hänchenhaut).

Delicious food, friendly staff, and great service. Some tweaks on the menu, but absolutely delicious.

(Mal wieder) Ein toller Besuch mit herrlichem Essen und bayerisch-authentischem Kellnerhandwerk: freundlich & zackig. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und mal wieder ein herrliches Abendessen gehabt, ohne vorab zu reservieren (am Mittwochabend). Bar- & Kartenzahlung waren möglich. Auf jeden Fall ein must see in München.

Urig bayrisches Haus. Sehr gut besucht und ohne Reservierung nur mit warten und hoffen eine Platzierung möglich. Service super freundlich und fix, allerdings fast unmöglich zu schaffen, bei den Mengen an Besuchern. Insgesamt recht hochpreisig, aber sehr lecker. Portionen könnten etwas größer sein.

Am dritten Sonntag im Oktober wird Kirchweih gefeiert, „Allerweltskirchweih“, wie dieser Tag vom Volksmund auch betitelt wird. Im "Fraunhofer" gibt's dazu den passenden Rahmen. Enten-, oder Gänsekeulen schmecken bei entsprechender Live Musik nochmal so gut.

Uriges Ambiente, Bedienung war sichtlich bemüht und ziemlich überfordert. Wie angekündigt wurden unsere beiden Gerichte (Schnitzel u. Ochsenbacken) nicht gleichzeitig serviert - etwa 30 Minuten nach dem ersten kam das nächste Gericht. Wir haben über eine Stunde auf das Essen gewartet! Es wird mit Bio-Fleisch geworben und preislich bewegt man sich im Bereich wo man durchaus etwas erwartet. Leider wurde auch das nicht erfüllt. Die Ochsenbäckchen lagen z. T. nicht ausreichend geschmort in einer Art gebundenen Gemüsesuppe statt in der angegebenen Rotwein-Schmor-Sauce. Und der eine Semmelknödel hat nicht mal ausreichend gesättigt. Keine Empfehlung von mir, außer vielleicht auf ein Bier in Wirtshaus-Atmosphäre. Restaurant, Service und Qualität leider nicht ausreichend.

Uriges Lokal mit regionaler Küche. Kalbsleber mit Kartoffelpüree war eine gute Wahl. Auch der Kaiserschmarrn ist sehr zu empfehlen

Salat mit Putenstreifen nicht wirklich den Preis wert.

Die Preise sind ordentlich und für ein bayrisches Restsurant im oberen Bereich. Der Service nett, aber sichtbar überfordert. Das Essen ist mit Zugeständnissen durchschnittlich.

Ottima esperienza. Ci siamo stati per cena: abbiamo preso una zuppa di pollo, gli gnocchi agli spinaci e gli spatzle al formaggio. Tutto ottimo. Servizio discreto e cordiale, ambiente accogliente e molto caratteristico, prezzi onesti (64€ per 2 spatzle ai formaggi, 1 gnocchi agli spinaci, 1 zuppa di pollo, 1 birra, 1 acqua e 1 Coca Cola). Consigliatissimo!

Sehr uriges bayerisches Lokal, das ich immer wieder gerne besuche. Die dort veranstalteten musikalischen Musikfrühschoppen finde ich eine tolle Sache.

Super Lokal! Eienes der wenigen authentischen bayerischen, die es noch in München gibt. Große Empfehlung!

Es gibt gute und weniger gute Orte

- Es spricht eigentlich nichts dagegen, im Theater an freien Plätzen noch Stühle zusätzlich zur regulären (Kino-)Bestuhlung aufzustellen. Wenn diese Stühle dann vor der ersten Reihe stehen und ca. 20cm höher sind als der Rest ist das aber mehr als ungeschickt. Man hat dann den Eindruck, ganz vorne sitzen lauter Riesen, sehen kann man natürlich auch nicht mehr viel. Also bitte: Stuhlbeine absägen oder Stühle weglassen! - Wenn bei einer Veranstaltung mit Einheitspreis und freier Platzwahl dann doch die beiden ersten Reihen komplett reserviert sind fühlt man sich leicht veräppelt. Kann man meiner Ansicht nach nicht machen! - Da sich manche Gäste nicht entblöden, auch noch ihre handys für (sicherlich sehr wertvolle) Filmaufnahmen in das verbliebene Sichtfeld zu halten, sollte der Veranstalter vielleicht über ein generelles Aufnahmeverbot nachdenken; ist an vielen Orten ja bereits üblich. Das Konzert selber (Joscho Stephan - Gypsy Swing) war super!
