Nothing that is described on the website is adhered to. Everything made from scratch? Cheap burger meat and apart from the sauces... Even the dressing for the salad isn't his recipe.

The burgers are not only big, they are also extremely tasty. But every other dish must also be evaluated in the same way. The service is always friendly and accommodating. No matter whether it's a beer garden or a hut. Both are lovingly and originally furnished. The vodka caramel liqueur produced especially for Fränkies Hütte is delicious. It's good that you can buy it in bottles there and take it with you.

I don't know what was going on. Bad day or something, but the fried potatoes tasted old and oily. It wasn't my first time at Fränkie's huts. I've been there several times and actually it was the first time that we didn't like the food, but all three of us didn't and we all had something with fried potatoes. Maybe next time it would be for that much money I demand something else

We made reservations by phone as a larger group. Unfortunately, they probably neglected to point out that the stay was obviously only 2 hours long. We were very irritated and calmly expressed our displeasure. The staff and boss were very unfriendly and rude. Food was good, but the treatment of our group of 20 was inappropriate. Oh yes, we were also asked to move back together to free a table for other guests. We complied with the request, although the table was simply pushed aside unoccupied. Our group's conclusion is that we will visit another restaurant in the future.

Was turned away at 7 p.m., there would be nothing left! But only half of all the tables were occupied! And I was alone!!!

Stopped here in the evening following a recommendation after a long hike. The ambience both inside and outside is cozy, rustic and very pleasing to the eye. The drinks came quickly from the very friendly service and you felt genuinely welcome. Then it was time to order food and I wanted to try Bigos with schnitzel. It was fresh, tasty and, together with the fried potatoes, quite plentiful. After the sporting activity, it was just right for me. Because it tasted so good, you ask yourself why you haven't tried Bigos before?! Better to have the experience late than not at all. Since it was generally well attended and reserved, there were only free spaces outside. However, it worked with a jacket. However, there is one point to complain about: due to the location in the forest, we quickly had black and yellow pests on our drinks. Unfortunately, despite requests, the request for additional beer mats to cover the glasses was not fulfilled. So for me it's a dent from the 5th star. But the conclusion is 95% positive. The freshness of the ingredients and the portions also justify the supposedly higher price.

After every hike with our dog, a visit to the hut is a must. The service is very friendly and the food is absolutely great. Highly recommended! The price of the food is really not expensive.

We can only recommend Fränkis Hütte and have already sent work colleagues and friends there. Super delicious food and very nice dog-friendly staff. After an extensive hiking tour through the beautiful Arnsberg Forest, just the thing. Rustic hut atmosphere and great beer garden. We think the price-performance ratio is completely OK.

We are from the Cologne/Düsseldorf area and were recently on vacation at Möhnesee. We then stopped by your place and I really have to say that I have rarely experienced such a great restaurant with such a great ambience. There is something to look at everywhere, with so much love down to the smallest detail that you almost forget to eat. Everything was perfect and the service ladies were quick, on their toes and always looked after everything and always asked if we had any further wishes. The food was very tasty and the portions were huge. We will definitely take a trip to Fränki's hut at Möhnesee more often ❤️😋

I was there for the first time almost 9 years ago. Quite by chance, I had dinner there with my (now) wife for our first date. And even back then we really liked it. And even today, after 9 years, it still tastes like it did on the first day. Simply fantastic, just like the ambience, which always changes a little but still retains its same charm. You can tell that people work and cook here with heart and soul. In the end I can only say to anyone who wants to try it, do it and you won't regret it!

There you are greeted by unfriendly staff who tell you that in this sunny weather there are only tables inside. Stay away from this restaurant. If you want to eat inside in sunshine and almost 30° C, then you've come to the right place. And if you look at the variety of dishes on the menu, you already know in advance what it tastes like. 😉😄 As you can read below, constructive criticism is treated poorly by the “unfriendly” ones. 😉 Yes, it's true that I haven't made a reservation, but when two thirds of what feels like 20 tables outside are already reserved at lunchtime, then I wonder where all the guests are?! Everyone arrives around the same time around 3 p.m., or how's everything going?! 😅 Then answering sloppily when you ask for a table outside tops it all. I have never experienced such a reception in a restaurant with such an extensive menu. This is pure experience gastronomy, just as you want it to be. If the microwave works well, you can really get started. 😉😅 Apparently things aren't bad enough in the catering industry. But that reflects the comment under the review. ^^ Oh yes, and if you think this is all made up, you should read the review by “Pia Klaas”, which was given here with one star a year ago. It basically confirms this one. 😉

First time there today. Great burger eaten on site. Patty could have been a little bigger compared to the bun. Taste and freshness great. The schnitzel with chanterelles and fried potatoes, which we took with us for later, was also great. Gladly again.

Excursion destination by motorbike when the weather is nice. Food is great, service is friendly and accommodating.. But you should always make a reservation.

The cocktails/aperitifs were unfortunately not good, one dish was drowned in sauce and the other was schnitzel dishes. The schnitzels mainly consisted of breading and were unfortunately very dry. Addendum: The reaction to the criticism says it all. There was no claim that the food was not freshly prepared. We spent the evening there and, like everyone else, would like to rate it here, but since apples are being compared with oranges, only positive points are desired and it shows a bad reputation.

Went there today with my sweetheart and son... Totally quiet and extremely cozy. It was a spontaneous decision based on the positive reviews. It was a good decision. Of course, in the heat, I first had something to drink... and then I ordered a light meal... I ordered a solyanka as a small appetizer... Really delicious. And then came the main courses. Schatz had ordered the salad bowl with shrimp. Sohnemann the chanterelle burger. And is the homemade brawn with fried potatoes, cucumber remoulade and everything that goes with it... One thing in advance... the taste is really great... in all 3 dishes. And if you don't get enough portions, you probably won't feel full. 😉. The ambience...the delicious food and the really nice service are worth the hour's drive from the Ruhr area. We'll be back.😃

You used to be an insider tip!! I have now had to delete my 5 star review from 6 years ago because it no longer fits! I wanted to visit you again but a look at the website quickly taught me otherwise. No average earner can afford that anymore! This is not how you gain new customers. On the contrary! Leberkäse for 20 euros, a pilsner for €3.80. Schnitzel(!) for 24 €Euro! Plus the constant search for personnel. Suggests a miserable working atmosphere. There are plenty of other restaurants that offer much more for the money. If you search, you will find. Sincere condolences, you will soon be history!

Rustic meeting point in the middle of the forest. Rustic indoor and outdoor dining to match the surroundings. The prices are sometimes difficult to digest. For a (decent) portion of fries and an over-long bratwurst 16 euros with packets of mayo and ketchup are very self-confident! But that's how it is these days... Parking can be a problem because the space is limited due to the location. We were there with a group of motorcycles and had to look for gaps. Still happy again! Also because it's a good change from the usual hotspots at Möhnesee!

It was quite good, I have to say, that's why I'm giving it five stars. There wasn't much going on, but everything was good, the portions were also very good and the food wasn't tasty, it was actually very tasty 😋.

Ate there for the first time yesterday and it was world class. I ate a schnitzel there, which couldn't have been done better. The fries are hot and fresh, the schnitzel is seasoned just right, the breading is crunchy but not greasy and the meat is of very high quality and juicy. The mushroom cream sauce was homemade with fresh mushrooms. Salad fresh and crunchy.

All around great restaurant! Friendly service, great food, nice decor inside and out. Unfortunately we are just tourists and probably won't be able to come back anytime soon.

Had dinner there on Sunday evening. There wasn't much going on for us anymore. The food came quickly and was a lot. Very, very nice staff. They steamed extra fresh vegetables for our 9 month old son, even without salt! Afterwards we were even given a baby toy. 😊 Unfortunately my burger wasn't that great, but everything else was very good. We will definitely come back again!

So first of all a big compliment to the service, nice friendly young ladies. I hate the word "location", so a nice place, quiet and clean. The food could use a little tweaking. Fried potatoes with brawn. The decorative tomatoes are really bland, so a cruet on the table would be an achievement, also for the fried potatoes. These were too greasy and a little too bland for me. Too bad, a little more effort please.

We always enjoy visiting Fränki. Everything is perfect here, great service, nice staff, delicious food and Fränki is always available for small talk.

We were there spontaneously today as a family of 5. It was very full, we almost didn't get a table. When we were about to leave, we spontaneously got one. I thought it was really great, you could see that it was full and it was clear to us that we would have to wait, which was completely ok for us. The food was really tasty, I'm not much of a burger fan but I can really recommend the one with pulled pork. Food was really tasty, clean shop, nice patient service. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again.

We had a delicious meal and were served very nicely in a really nice and cozy hut atmosphere. What was annoying was that the innkeeper talked quite loudly with other guests from a distance of 3 meters during our entire stay and we inevitably and unintentionally had the entire course of the conversation pressed into our ears. We would have stayed seated for a while if there had been a little more peace and quiet.

Very nice and cozy atmosphere. The staff very friendly. We have been there several times and were very impressed with the food. Large portions, fresh, beautifully presented and warm. The steak was really soft and cooked to perfection. Burgers, schnitzel and currywust are also highly recommended. The prices are quite high but reasonable for what you get. We always enjoy coming here.

We were very excited, my wife is a vegetarian and she was really looking forward to the veggie burger. The disillusionment came when I browsed through the menu, it was no longer on it. When we asked, we were told that it had been taken off the menu due to lack of demand. So ordered something else vegetarian. After 5 minutes the very nice service person came and told us that the chef would prepare us a vegetarian patti if we wanted. So that's what I call service and very accommodating. Very rare to find these days. Thank you for the lovely evening and the great food, anything less than 5 stars would be unfair

I find it very sporty for a beer 5.80€ and for a Leberkäse (which probably comes from the supermarket) 20€ ;-) Nice atmosphere but totally overpriced

A beautifully located restaurant near Lake Möhnesee in the middle of a forest area. We were there on May 1st. It is advisable to reserve. It is also a popular destination for hikers, cyclists, bikers etc. Despite the very high volume of visitors, the service staff was very friendly and took the time to answer questions properly. The food (which I initially found very expensive) was very filling. We still work with local butchers here. The quality of the food is therefore very high, which in my opinion clearly justifies the increased price. I ate a burger with fried potatoes. The food tasted really great. We would be happy to come back here.

One of the few restaurants that require a bit of effort before you are compensated with great food Never show up in the evening or on the weekend without a reservation and expect a table to be available. Word of the top quality of offerings and service has spread throughout the region, so many people are not afraid to take the long journey through the forest, even in winter. You will then be rewarded with delicious food and a unique ambience, especially in winter, the log cabin with the open fireplace cannot be beaten for coziness. And with fast and always friendly service, they keep you in a good mood even when it's busy. All in all, it is worth the aforementioned effort, if any.
