The portions are very generous; even those with hearty appetites will definitely be completely satisfied, not just in terms of taste. Absolutely top recommendation! A very interesting atmosphere, rustic with a modern makeover, although some tables have swivel chairs. The lighting was rather too bright, and I found it very noisy due to the sound of many conversations.

We've been to Fränkie's several times and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The service is very friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is cozy, and the food is absolutely delicious. Even the hungriest person will be satisfied with the portions! 😃 It's essential to reserve in advance, as tables are in high demand. We highly recommend a visit! 😊

We were here on March 18, 2020. Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, I had checked online beforehand and found that restaurants were allowed to be open until 3 p.m. When we arrived, there were several vehicles parked and voices coming from the terrace. The two of us parked our motorcycles and wanted to go to the terrace, but since there was a thin rope stretched across it, we tried to enter the restaurant through the front entrance. As the door was locked, I checked the posted signs to make sure I hadn't missed anything and that the opening hours were correct. I then decided to ask at the terrace if it was now open. I ducked under the barrier rope, stepped about 3 meters into the small forecourt, and asked the owner, who was looking in my direction, if it was now open. He replied, quite annoyed, asking if I didn't understand the current situation, pointing out that there was barrier tape and that I was trespassing. I simply replied politely that I had done my research beforehand and just wanted to check if it was open. He continued to berate me quite harshly, and to prevent things from escalating, I turned around and went back to the barrier. We then drank a Capri Sun I had brought with me, and he continued to rant about us for at least another 10 minutes. Then a female employee came and held up a sign that said "Closed!" We then drove 2 km further to the Tackeberg Country Inn. There, observing the current regulations, we enjoyed two excellent steaks. I understand that the current situation isn't easy for many people. But to treat guests like that and belittle them like 15-year-old schoolboys is simply unacceptable. I know that my club and I will be giving this establishment a wide berth in the future.

We were greeted by a young lady in a sleeveless vest-like suit. We then wanted to order a glass of Prosecco, which both the waitress with her slight accent and the lady who had greeted us didn't understand. After asking the third lady, my wife got her glass. Then I ordered a beef roulade. It arrived and was about the size of a potato. But it was quite expensive. So there's room for improvement.

The website says it's open. Now we're standing in front of the store, and it's closed. Thanks for the pointless trip. Never again...

Super delicious food. Whether it's schnitzel, burgers, or whatever else is on the menu. Every time the food is brought to the table, you can hear how enthusiastic the guests are. Every plate is beautifully presented, and the ingredients are fresh. For dessert, they always have a piece of cake, even if they can barely fit anything else in after the massive portions. Mmmmmm. For us, it's crystal clear: whenever we're in Paderborn, Fränkis Hütte is at the top of our list.

Large portions – delicious food served in a beautiful pan. Rustic, cozy atmosphere, like a large wooden cabin with unusual decor. I'd be happy to go again.

We ordered the dishes "The Spicy Betti," "The Smooth Udo," and "Edyta's Polish Schnitzel Variation." We really enjoyed all three schnitzels and their respective side dishes. The food is definitely filling. The restaurant was very busy that day, but the staff were always smiling and engaging in friendly conversation with the guests. The atmosphere also made you feel quite relaxed. Highly recommended and always worth a visit!

Totally cozy. Cooking just like mom's. I always enjoy coming back. We were passing through again after years and discovered: Fränkie is still the hut owner. We were warmly welcomed again and served super delicious food. It's really great that the quality hasn't declined and the chef is still the same. That's rare. We also learned about Fränkie's Hut in Haxtergrund, where we naturally stopped on the way back. And we were delighted by the same quality and ambiance. Keep it up! We'll be happy to stop by again on our next trips and let yourself be pampered by your kindness.

We arrived on our bikes without a reservation. Our greeting "Hello" to a staff member wasn't reciprocated. While we were looking for an outside seat for two, a waitress called out to us from across the outdoor area, "Do you have a reservation?" NO, we didn't! "Then I don't have anything for you!" Instead of asking us to wait, she was unfriendly and rather dismissive! THANKS, but NO THANKS! WE can choose friendly restaurants where we're happy to spend our money.

We've eaten here several times and were satisfied customers until yesterday, but now the restaurant seems to have lost several customers. Yesterday (a Sunday), the restaurant was packed. We had pre-ordered and were seated inside immediately. After what felt like an hour of ordering our food, my father (about 70 years old) asked the waiter if we had been forgotten. In our opinion, guests who had ordered after us had received their food before us. Shortly afterward (less than 5 minutes), the manager came to our table and asked who was complaining. Then he reprimanded my father in a harsh tone. He told him to look around and see how busy it was; we had been waiting 48 minutes for our food, and after all, they cook real food here, not just warm it up from a bag. This action completely ruined our meal and our afternoon. You don't treat your fellow human beings with such disrespect, and especially not paying customers. Here, the guest seems to be a burden. Regarding the owner's response: The table next to us didn't shake their heads at us, but at the tone he used. I completely stuck to the truth, and as you can see here, criticism can't be handled.

Today we were at Fränkis Hütte on Lake Möhne again. We've always been satisfied, but today, after waiting 53 minutes and asking if our food had been forgotten, the owner addressed us very rudely and with inappropriate language. After all, all the food is freshly prepared? Maybe, but then the fries on the plate shouldn't have been soggy. Conclusion after today: consider the recommendation. Customer service looks different!

We visited Fränkies Hütte for the first time today, and everything was excellent. The atmosphere is super cozy, the service is very attentive and friendly, and we were constantly asked for drinks. The food was incredibly delicious, the portions were huge, and the prices were definitely reasonable. We'll definitely be back!

Four of us stopped there by bike. Unfortunately, it was still closed, but an employee told us they'd be opening in 30 minutes. Okay, we'll wait until they open, no problem. When I asked the employee if one of our two girls could at least use the restroom beforehand, they denied it, saying, "No, that's not possible." What's the problem with letting a woman use the restroom? Sorry, but then I'm not going to wait for us to eat there and pay. So, off we go, never to see you again.

Highly recommended. A super rustic, natural, and cozy ambiance. A menu that's fun to read, and what you'll find on your plate afterwards... a true culinary delight. Even though it's a bit hidden, it's definitely worth more than just a visit. The only downside is that there's a bit of a shortage of parking spaces.

Four of us went there for dinner. We arrived by motorcycle. Parking was available. The service was okay. What we missed was that we weren't asked about drinks after ordering. We had to wait a while for the food, but it was worth it. All the dishes were well prepared, plentiful, and delicious. The price is on the higher side, but it's justified by the good food. For us, it's definitely a great place to eat.

We were there on Saturday, June 21, 2026. The food was okay. But the waitress, Larissa, was beyond rude. She acted like she was the boss. We asked for a seat in the shade. She said everything was reserved. But there were still plenty of free tables. A couple came and simply sat down at a table opposite. Larissa asked if they had a reservation... to which the couple replied, "No." When I asked why this was happening, I was told that she was responsible for allocating seating, and that was that. I could complain, which I hereby do. Too bad, the best food doesn't taste good anymore :-(

I really have to say that everything here is fantastic, everything is just right, service is great, and the food is really good too. Not great. All in all, really good. Personally, I don't think the prices are justified. For these prices, you can really enjoy high-quality food. Which doesn't mean it's bad here. Just for the price... What bothers me a little is the really long wait before you can order or pay. Otherwise, it's great, and we'll definitely be back sometime.

Overall, a great place. The service was friendly but unfortunately couldn't keep up. Our plates and leftover food were left in front of us until the end because the wait staff was busy elsewhere. It's a shame; it spoils the overall impression. Otherwise, the portions are much too large. The prices are correspondingly high, but fair for the amount you get, and the portion is easily enough for two.

A super nice and rustic hut where you can sit comfortably. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The highlight, however, was the schnitzel I had. A superb looking, crispy on the outside, very juicy on the inside, and not at all greasy. With it, it was fantastic with Polish sauerkraut! I'll definitely be back, hopefully in better weather!

Overall, a very nice restaurant with friendly staff, and the food is very good. Unfortunately, we had to wait longer than average for the food. The starters, however, came quite quickly.

On Father's Day, we spontaneously went to the restaurant without a reservation. We knew it from previous visits and had always liked it. The restaurant was only moderately busy. We looked for a free seat inside. Then a member of staff came up to us briskly and told us that all the tables inside were reserved. However, this was not clear. We then looked for a table outside. We chose a table near the edge. Another member of staff came up to us and reprimanded us, saying that this table would not be served, after all, you could tell this was because the chairs were at an angle. You had to make a reservation on a day like this. Unfortunately, everyone was very unfriendly. We will not be coming back for the time being and will not recommend the restaurant to anyone.

A rustic cabin in a fantastic location/surroundings. I've rarely been served so kindly and attentively! The service was simply top-notch. My meal (salad, fried potatoes, fried eggs) was truly delicious. I don't like fast food/ready meals or overly seasoned stuff; everything here was simply wonderfully fresh and natural. I'll be back :)

Once again, we deliberately included Frankie's Hut in our beautiful hike and stopped there for lunch. We reserved a table in advance by phone. As always, we were very satisfied!

The food was good, but the prices were quite high. Unfortunately, this restaurant is not recommended for people with electrosensitivity, as there are several radio antennas on the roof. When I asked what beers they had, I was only told three, even though several varieties were listed on the menu. Otherwise, a solid restaurant.

The portions at Fränki's Hütte are huge, both for the schnitzel and the hamburgers. The service was quick and friendly. There's a great outdoor seating area.

Mega Schnitzel ! You're happy to pay a few euros more for this. We live further away but will definitely come back.

Today we were guests with 4 people and 2 dogs. There was nothing to complain about. The food was very good, the staff friendly, attentive and quick. Nicely located and parking available. The house-made liqueur is particularly recommended... it is also available to take away, at a reasonable price. We were happy to make use of it 😁
