The food was plentiful and tasted very good. The ambiance is a bit dated but somehow cozy.

Perfect for a beautiful day – highly recommended! Today, three of us were at the Forsthaus Wittland and were able to try three different dishes. All of the dishes were delicious! Two of the dishes came with a super-delicious salad – I thought that was a great addition. There was a small issue with my meal, but it was resolved immediately and very friendly. The staff was always super friendly and polite – that's exactly what I imagine good service to be! The restaurant also offers enough space for celebrations, which I also find very positive. I could imagine one drawback during the cold season. It's warm today, so something quick is good, but in winter it might be a problem. But based on today's experience, I think the Forsthaus will definitely come up with something to improve. All in all: top-notch! We'd love to come back!

Leuke typische Duitse restaurant. Mooie ambiance, eten was goed. Prijs was zeer betaalbaar. Het is een familie bedrijf en het zijn leuke mensen. Komen heel warm en welkom over.

Es handelt sich um ein schönes und ansprechendes Lokal mit einer sehr freundlichen Bedienung. Das Essen sah auch ansprechend aus, das Hähnchen- und Steakfleisch der Forsthauspfanne empfanden wir aber leider als minderwertig (knorpelig und sehnig). Aus der Küche wurde lediglich mitgeteilt, dass man sich stets bemühen würde, derartige Dinge aber nicht verhindern könnte. Bei einem Preis von 26,00 € hätten wir eine kleine Wiedergutmachung in Form eines Getränks oder Ähnliches erwartet.

A bit unassuming from the outside, as soon as you enter the restaurant, you're immediately greeted by a quaint, rustic atmosphere. We immediately felt at home. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food was a 10/10. We were there with eight people, and everyone was delighted. Large portions that were so delicious that everyone fought to finish their plates because it was simply too good not to eat. We'd go back anytime. It's a small menu, but it's all the more professional for that. Thank you for the lovely evening; it was a delight.

To be honest, I'm a little speechless; I'm at a loss for words. I haven't experienced a restaurant like this in the last 20 years; it's second to none. The food came super quickly, fresh, and delicious. The service was super friendly and exceptionally personable. The ambiance was exactly my taste: quaint, cozy, and quiet. Truly a restaurant second to none.

Quaint, cozy atmosphere! You feel like you are in good hands and have been transported back 200 years; the Katenstelle was first mentioned in exactly 1823. You can just imagine what it used to look like! The restaurant is on the ground floor, making it easy to reach even for guests with physical disabilities. We enjoyed dinner, i.e. various types of “kale” and “pork medallions”. Priced in the midfield, the food is definitely worth the money. They tasted fresh, tender and tasty. The dishes are well portioned, so normal people should always be full. They were ready for 6 people within 5 minutes. The service on site was very courteous and attentive - the restaurant made a very clean impression. The fireplace with real fire underlines the atmosphere. Gladly again.

We were there for lunch on Sunday. The kale platter was plentiful and good 👍. The wild boar roast with delicious sauce is a dream and was as tender as butter....😋. We'll definitely be back ❤️

Today we spontaneously stopped by the rustic Forsthaus Wittland to eat kale. We received a very warm welcome and chose kale with smoked pork, cooked sausage and caramelized potatoes. Tastes great 😋 👌 The quality was “TOP”, the portion size was generous and the price was absolutely moderate. The service staff was extremely friendly, very attentive and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and can definitely recommend a visit👍 We'd love to come back 👌🥰

Sehr leckeres Essen, sehr freundliches Personal. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hatten uns kurzfristig dazu entschieden dort zu Abend zu essen, haben im nahe gelegen Hotel übernachten. Nach 6min Fußweg sind wir sehr nett empfangen wurden und hatten noch Glück ohne Vorbestellung. Vom Salat bis zur Hauptspeise, sehr sehr lecker und frisch zu bereitet.
