Wir waren Sonnabend in dem Lokal, welches sehr gut besucht war und deshalb etwas unruhig wirkte. Insgesamt war der Service sehr gut, was dem (zu) vielen Personal zu verdanken war. Das Essen war ebenfalls sehr gut. Leider bin ich als normaler "Esser" trotz Vorspeise nicht satt geworden. Aus diesem Grund finde ich den Preis von ca. 29 Euro für ein kleines Stück Kabeljau und etwas Kartoffelstampf einfach zu hoch.

Legga Backfüsch. We were there at lunchtime. There are changing lunch offers. The plated dishes looked great and since we are coming back we will gradually eat our way through the menu. Beautiful decor, nice service that fulfills every wish and a great atmosphere, including a view of the Kiel Fjord. Top recommendation.

There is no alternative in Schilksee and Kiel. For food or just a drink. But always with tapas... Unfortunately there is no network there. Walls too thick.

It took a while for the food to arrive. But it was delicious.

Cozy restaurant right by the sea. We weren't that hungry, so we only shared one dish, the kale with sausage and smoked pork and potatoes. It was delicious and the portion was very generous, as were the drinks. The people in service were very friendly, relaxed and just pleasant. Would definitely come here again and try more next time I'm in Kiel.

Was a great restaurant with delicious food. Labskaus is often not very good. It was a pleasure here. The hot brownie with tonka bean ice cream was also great. And the concept with the seagull shit can be recognized in many details. Absolute recommendation!

The bit of breakfast was ok, unfortunately it had nothing to do with “Advent breakfast”. Simple run-of-the-mill breakfast. Scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. By 10:14 a.m. most of the things were no longer there and could therefore not be refilled, complete planning failure. The service was absolutely subpar, two waitresses who were totally inattentive. The younger of the two women was only busy flirting with the cook and, above all, constantly busy with her smartphone. I have no idea why watching Reels and writing WhatsApp was so important, then she shouldn't have signed up for the shift. For such a huge sum of over €25 you could have expected a lot more. And the fact that everything was constantly empty and wasn't filled up put the (disappointing) crown on the whole thing. Atmosphere like in a GDR canteen... We definitely won't be coming back, it's a shame about all the money and time wasted.

El Mövenschiss is a real highlight in Schilksee! The creative mix of maritime atmosphere, warm service and a unique menu makes this place something very special. The dishes are not only delicious, but also prepared with great attention to detail - from the fresh ingredients to the original presentation. The fish dishes and the homemade specials in particular are an absolute must. Plus a cool drink with a view of the sea - it couldn't be better! I'll definitely come back. Clear recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a great atmosphere!

For the 3rd time there. No complaints

There were four of us there in December. Unfortunately, my panfish wasn't tasty, the vegetables were indefinable. The price-performance ratio wasn't right! We were regulars and very disappointed

Very good, always worth a visit.

Unfortunately very disappointed again. Fried potatoes for the butt were not freshly fried, but old and full of fat and kept lukewarm. The bacon sticks with the beet puree were warm cubes of bacon that were just limp but not fried (missed). The smoked pork with the far too sweet kale was a hard, fatty, par-cooked slice from the neck. The roasted potatoes, which were specially ordered without much sugar, were buried under a thick layer of sugar. They wanted to forward our complaint to the kitchen. Unfortunately there was no further reaction afterwards. We used to enjoy going to El Möwenschiss. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has plummeted in tandem with the sharply increased prices. For us it was the last time, as you eat better in most canteens.

Saturday, late afternoon, in November. Without reservation 2 people. Very friendly greeting/reception at the entrance. We can only judge what we ate and that was A1. Labskaus and ribeye. Plus a glass of rosé and red wine. The only thing that went with dessert was an espresso, unfortunately, the dessert menu read great/sweet. There is nothing to complain about with the food, nor with the service staff, and the chefs know their craft. We're happy to pay for good quality (Germans always like to complain about the price, it's their own fault.) And since we are also German and you want to know the fly in the ointment: There were cobwebs hanging on the wall lamps 😄 And if the plates were preheated, that would be ok. I have to admit that I was a bit taken aback by the name of this restaurant. While researching it I didn’t really find it too appealing. Still, when we first went there, the food was excellent. They have classic fare like the fantastic Labskaus as well as more fancy options. So we kept coming back. This is a spot that fills up rapidly on weekends, so if you know that you want to come here it’s best to reserve a table. Otherwise you might get turned away. In summer, outdoor seating is available. In winter, you can cozy up inside. If you need cellphone reception: this is a bunker. If you are too far away from the windows you will not have a signal.

There were four of us who had Labskaus, curry, venison burgers and panfish - everything was absolutely delicious! The service was also great. We'll be back!

Today we went to our favorite restaurant for a long time. Lack of time has been the reason so far. 😌 We always look forward to the ambience, the super friendly team, the latte macchiato, the coffee and the beautiful view of the fjord/Baltic Sea. We are glad that the team creates such a pleasant and calm atmosphere. For once, we didn't sit in our usual spot, by the window with the high tables, today. We wish the team all the best and look forward to seeing you again soon. This is where our story began ..........🤗😊

Always delicious, very friendly staff, always happy again

We are really mussel connoisseurs and have eaten mussels in various countries and restaurants. Unfortunately, these didn't taste fresh and when we opened the pot at the table, we smelled a suspicious smell. It's a shame, especially given the top view, location and the excellent ambience. The preparation seemed to be flawless, only the mussels were no longer as fresh as we knew or expected.

Pretty and simply furnished with a fantastic view. We were there for the breakfast buffet. The selection extends to various cheese, fish and cold cuts with some antipasti, fruit, vegan and other salads, cereals, coffee, juice and water. At the end there are waffles (in small bites) and a dessert cream. Everything tasted good and was of good quality. There is a deduction for service and food because the service only asked for drinks once at the beginning and then no more. We would have liked to have a glass of champagne later, but somehow that didn't happen. It was also a shame that the roast beef was gone very quickly, and we couldn't treat ourselves to the waffles, which were also gone quickly. I expect a quicker replenishment. But otherwise everything was very pleasant and we would be happy to come back.

The food was good, the service too, overall there is still room for improvement.

Very friendly and attentive staff, elMöwenachiss has created something great out of the difficult 70s atmosphere of the area. The food was delicious. €1.50 on top because you chose fries instead of potato salad and €2.50 for a dollop of tartar sauce is an absolute no go. Very unfortunate.

Here you can eat great, very well and with a great view of the Baltic Sea and its coast. The staff is very friendly, the prices are reasonable, we were and are super satisfied. In our opinion the best fried fish we have ever eaten. We will definitely be here again on our next visit to Kiel.

A relaxed atmosphere and when the weather is nice you can sit outside. Great view of the Baltic Sea. The service is great and everything went really quickly. The toilets are a real highlight. So beautifully designed, super clean and the relaxing sound of the sea in the background. The food was super delicious. By far the best fried fish I've ever had. So much fish, a delicious and thin breading and delicious tartar sauce. Absolute madness and our absolute recommendation. The potato cucumber salad with it was suitable and sufficient. We got super full. The dessert with red fruit jelly and vanilla ice cream is also recommended. Very fruity and with lots of fruit and especially not that sweet. We were completely satisfied and would like to come back again.

Good ambience with a great view of the Kiel Fjord. If the weather is good you can also sit outside. Very fast and attentive service. My butt was excellent, with wonderful fried potatoes. For dessert, Crema Catalana with a passion fruit ice cream ball. Can only be recommended.

After a walk, we stopped at elMövenschiss. The Chrunchy Nuggets from the children's plate were unique, as was the potato salad from the fried fish, only the fried fish itself was bland and I would have liked a sauce with it. By the way, a little green maintenance couldn't hurt the surrounding area.

The self-service thing on the terrace worked well. After 45 minutes of waiting for the food, I asked if we had been forgotten. At some point one of four people at the counter felt addressed and took care of it. After 6 minutes the food came, unfortunately the fried potatoes weren't cooked through and neither was the breading on the fried fish. The matjes was very “mushy”. At least 3 service people stand on the terrace at the service table and prefer to chat or water 5. flowers. It's a shame that only the name of this restaurant remains.

The food is delicious, but unfortunately the staff is not very helpful. When we asked for a container, the waitress said that we should ask at the counter. Another waitress immediately handed over this vessel.

I was there as part of a family celebration. The food was very tasty - we had tapas. The service was very friendly, our wishes were responded to very nicely and eagerly and they were fulfilled. One tiny point of criticism: a brief introduction to the individual tapas would have been very good - e.g. B. the (very tasty) grilled goat cheese was interpreted with feta.

We were here for dinner last night. The concept of the terrace has been changed to self-service: you order from a cart, take drinks directly with you, and the food is brought out. There were 6 people in front of me, I queued for 40 minutes while my partner sat alone at the table. The food came quickly and was very good. The employees who bring the food and clear empty plates are very friendly. We would have liked to have had something to drink during and afterwards, but the waiting time at the bar put us off. I think it's a shame and I won't go there again.

Today we thought, since so many people were raving about the elMöwenschiss, we would go there. We ordered 2x “Kieler Woche fried fish with potato and cucumber salad with remoulade”. Honestly, that wasn't really good... The fried fish was a frozen, molded pollack (we hope...), dry and extremely firm. (And right by the sea...) The beer batter had green spices and was limp, which is absolutely not my cup of tea. And then only lukewarm. A far cry from the real Kiel Week fried fish!! When we asked for lemon for the fish, we received a quarter of a slice of a quarter of a lemon...for 2 fried fish... The potato salad, on the other hand, was very interesting and delicious. My wife also drank an apple juice spritzer that was completely non-carbonated. Luckily I had a Flens-Radler from the bottle. When clearing away the obligatory question whether it was tasty. We said no and explained why... there was just a "hm..." and gone. We'll probably give the restaurant a second chance, but we're done with the fish...it's a shame...

Going to the KiWo in Schilksee and then not visiting the restaurant “elMövenschiss”? It doesn't work at all! We came here for the first time and were immediately thrilled - just by the ambience - which was underlined by the very friendly service. The service worked excellently, leaving nothing to be desired. Very attentive staff. The crowning glory was the first-class food. All the dishes looked appetizing, the taste was unique. We highly recommend this great restaurant!

We've been eating here for years. Today the food was very bad. The fried herrings in sour were subpar. Super dry and they tasted old. We reported this to the kitchen and were told it was being noted. Without words... We won't be coming back - it's a shame!

Nice restaurant on the beach. Friendly staff and delicious food. There is something for everyone, meat, fish, vegetarian and also vegan. A highlight for me was the homemade ice cream. The offering inside and outside is very nice and inviting. The price is a bit higher, but the quality and portion are appropriate. I can recommend it to everyone. Before or after eating you can take a walk on the beach and get some fresh air.

Heute zufällig vorbei gelaufen und kurzfristig einen Tisch für 3 Personen reserviert. Spargel mit Kartoffeln und Lachs war hervorragend. Pasta mit Lachs und Backfisch mit Kartoffelsalat auch sehr gut. Wir kommen wieder. Preis Leistung angemessen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Ambiente gemütlich.

The food was very tasty for the adults, but for the children there was only a small handful of diced fish instead of the fried fish they had ordered. The service today was beyond bad. That's not what I know from El mövenschiss.

We were here for the second time. We had panfish and schnitzel. The food was very tasty. The service was very friendly. I would have liked to take a T-shirt in size M for my daughter. Unfortunately there was only one left in size L which I took with me anyway. We would have liked to sit outside, but unfortunately it was too windy. A very nice restaurant, highly recommended. All in all a very nice day.

The Caesar salad with chicken costs 20.90 euros and is rather small and overall tasteless. For the price you should definitely expect more! There is hardly any service as you have to fetch most things yourself. I would come here just for the ambience and enjoy a wine with a view of the sea.

Wir hatten uns heute auf ein Spargelgericht gefreut! Auf dem Teller lagen Spargelstangen, die mindestens 3/4 der Länge einen quadratischen bis rechteckigen Querschnitt hatten, dies mutete sehr eigenartig an. Es war kein Schälansatz zu erkennen, sodass die Vermutung naheliegt, dass mit einen langen Messer reichlich abgeschnitten wurde. Es war also kein Spargel à la Zipner sen. ! Insgesamt waren die Stangen bis auf die Spitzen im Biss sehr al dente, mag vielleicht gesünder sein, doch das Geschmackserlebnis war nicht ganz rund. Das der Katenschinken sich dem Zerteilen entziehen wollte, mag am Schinken selber oder auch an den Messern gelegen haben. Die Kartöffelchen waren visuell wie geschmacklich ein Highlight! Unsere Erfahrung ist, dass das i-Tüpfelchen der Zipnerschen Junior Qualität nicht erreicht ist! Trotz des heutigen Misserlebnisses empfehlen wir die Location wie auch die Küche weiter, aber auch mit dem Hinweis, hin und wieder kann‘s auch mal einen Mövenschiss auf dem Teller haben!!

Really nice! You might not expect something like this here, that is, a full-fledged restaurant with a wide range of tastes and first-class food and good wines. Plus a stylish ambience somewhere between modern maritime and classic vintage. Of course with a sea view and some outside spaces. The team has fun doing it. -- And what impressed me as an acoustician: finally a well thought-out concept for noise reduction with a correspondingly sound-absorbing ceiling. The quiet atmosphere despite the full house is a relief. Thanks!

The food was ok but not outstanding, the portion was a bit small but the situation was reflected in the price.

Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be. 😔 Schnitzel with asparagus for €28 is already expensive. For this you get a palm-sized (without fingers) piece of dry pork schnitzel, 5-6 asparagus spears that were as hard as carrots (🥴) that you just pulled out of the ground and a few potatoes with gnocchi in between. For whatever reason. 🤷🏻‍♂️ If you then ask for a glass of tap water for the 3 to 5 year old children, you are told: “We don’t have anything like that!” 😤☹️🤯 I don’t know whether I should laugh or cry about such statements. The waitress regularly had blinders on. Just raising your arm wasn't enough. She just stubbornly looked straight ahead and not in the direction of the tables. Only additional calling helped. 🤬 For us the store is dead for now. If things improve, we'll be happy to be there again. Just like back then. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I had chosen this restaurant because of its location on the water and also because of the large, varied and vegetarian menu and reserved a table for a funeral service about 3 weeks in advance by email - if I wished with a "sea view" - it was a nice one when we arrived Table set according to my wishes - also nice - a little separately - but unfortunately, as I discovered, not for us - our table was behind it - seemed rather dark, was bare and empty, so the disappointment was quite big - especially since you were there doesn't want to deal with any further problems on a day like this. You didn't feel welcome or expected. The other mourners also had puzzled faces. “Didn’t you pre-order?” “Didn’t you reserve anything?” …. Very uncomfortable for me. The reason for the table not being set was that we didn't know whether we wanted "coffee and cake" or "food" - it's a shame - a quick question to me beforehand (the contact details were known) would have been desirable and helpful - that Unfortunately it wasn't a good start at all and it made me very uncomfortable in front of the other mourners. Therefore 2 stars deducted here. The food and the service made up for the bad start. The service was very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious - that's what all my guests told me.

Nice atmosphere and delicious food. There is one point deduction for the service, which is friendly and good, but you first have to understand the ordering procedures. You order yourself and receive the drinks to bring to your seat, the food is brought to you. You have to get your own cutlery. It works, but it's complicated.

As always, the food was very tasty! I enjoy coming here several times a year. Nothing to complain about so far. We were here for a birthday and had a comfortable place in the raised private room. The cake we ordered was amazing! Any time. There is something for everyone, whether fish/vegetarian/meat!
