Each plate cost an average of 25 euros. For this price, the portions and product quality were mediocre. only the meat was good. The place was shabby.

The tacos here have been always really good, specially carnitas! It used to be pricey but now it has become much more affordable and the taste hasn’t changed. The quesadillas and tacos are our special highlight, it is genuine Mexican food.

Super delicious! The tacos were really good and authentic! Just be careful, the card depends on the day! On the weekend there is the large menu and during the week only the small menu with tacos and quesedillas. The food is comparatively cheap and offers great value for money. 4 well-filled tacos cost €12

I’m never going back. I don’t live near this restaurant anymore. Twice - I planned to go there for dinner. Both the website and the sign on the door said that the restaurant was open at the time I arrived. Twice - the restaurant was closed. I called both times and there was no answer. Why waste my time and energy? Sonora Taqueria is close by and excellent- and open when they advertise that they are open.

I've always wanted to come here. The portions are really small on Thursdays, if that's always the case you'll definitely go home hungry, the margaritas were served to us in a plastic cup, not great for the guest or the environment, after all we ate in the store. Then €44.00 for the portions? I think I don't have to go there so quickly anymore.

Hidden gem for the best Mexican food in Frankfurt. The small restaurant is comfortable, welcoming, and perfectly to enjoy your cocktails and incredible food. Make sure to make a reservation in case you plan to go on the weekends because it's always jammed. Update 10/2024: Sadly, the prices have skyrocketed by a lot - approx 50%. The enchilada used to be around 16 € and is now 25 €. Its hard to justify the visit nowadays for those prices.

Super bad value for money. You pay €12 for 4 tacos, but if you order them from the menu you only get beans and rice - how funny. You pay another €10 extra for beans, rice and waiter service. That means you pay a total of €22 for the same tacos. The portions were also very small - so small that I had to go to a kebab shop afterwards to get my fill. Absolutely not recommended.

Authentic food. Good selection of beer and drinks. Super service and attention. Well organized and clean premises. The price is worth it as the food tastes authentic. I recommend it to everyone who wants to know the taste of Mexican dishes and be in a good environment.

It used to be a busy restaurant. We were now back and were the only guests at 7 p.m. in the evening, which didn't make us feel good. It used to be better.

The food is legit an outrage. I never write reviews but in this case, with all the extremely amazingly good ones, it's simply necessary! Tacos super dry, quesadillas with the cheapest cheese, dough also extremely dry, vegetables added here are just disgusting. We ordered and specifically asked for an exact time and only started making the food when I was there to pick it up. Interior also impossible - an ugly beer hall in which they tried miserably to bring in a “Mexico charm”. Impossible from start to finish! Oh, and not exactly cheap either.

The food has deteriorated extremely, it used to be very good. Plastic cups and disposable tableware are simply unacceptable and unfriendly to the environment. Delivery order canceled after 75(!!) minutes without comment. On site there is often only half of what is on the menu. It's a shame because it used to be great. Never again.

Die Tacos sind einfach köstlich! Die Karte ist zwar übersichtlich, aber man merkt, dass die Küche mit viel Erfahrung und Liebe am Werk ist. Vom Ambiente her gibt es sicherlich stimmungsvollere Locations; die Einrichtung ist sehr einfach, aber es gibt einen kleinen Aussenbereich und da es Self-Service gibt muss man nicht lange auf sein Essen warten. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Very tasty food, authentic ingredients, the salsas could be better/fresher and the pulled pork is too dry and their taste is unspectacular. However, the mole tacos were outstanding!

The food is amazing here! But it was expensive for us. For two portions of tacos (8 tacos) + 2 soft drinks we paid about 56€ and then the tip on top. The ordering system was confusing, as we were not allowed to do self-service on drinks or pick up food from the counter, but other customers were doing that…

I went a couple of times and the food wasn't bad. However, customer service is terrible. The straw that broke the camel's back: they made a bad reservation for me on my birthday.

2020: Best tacos in Frankfurt! Nice service! July 2024: Adding to my review from 2020, we went back again and this time ordered the same pulled port tacos. The flavor was still nice but sadly the meat was super dry and chewy. I told the waitress when she came to ask if everything was fine, and she said “our chef is Mexican, this is how it is in Mexico”. A restaurant which cannot take feedback is sadly a no go for me.

1. Love the tacos but everything has become so expensive. A year or so ago the drink (agua de Jamaica or horchata) used to be included in the price but not anymore. 2. There used to be salsa bowls for you to serve yourself but now instead you get the smallest amounts in plastic containers which is such a waste and horrible for our environment. 3. 11€ for a very small margarita in plastic cups is not ok

As a Mexican, I previously thought of this restaurant (which later changed to a taqueria) as the most authentic Mexican. The atmosphere was very friendly and I loved going to show my friends here how to eat in Mexico; but I don't know what happened to them, it started to get super heavy and the treatment to the diner, TERRIBLE. I have to admit that the tacos are not bad, they are good (although the last time I went and decided not to return, they were swimming in grease) but they tasted worse with the treatment they gave us. I hope you read the comments so that you take it as learning.

We always enjoyed coming to eat. The last visit was underground. We will come again, if it doesn't taste good at all again, then we will have to look for a new Mexican restaurant. A pity

Unfortunately, I was very negatively surprised by the change in the concept (disposable packaging, self-service a la Vapiano). Both the menu and the service have deteriorated massively and many dishes are simply no longer available. Before that, I was very impressed with the store and went there more often. No one could tell me why they changed the concept. It's a real shame because the restaurant was doing very well and I don't understand why it makes sense. The food still tastes very good!

Hadn’t been here since last year and I was very disappointed to see how much it changed. Taste is not bad (nor great), but portions got smaller, menu selection got smaller, service (if any) got worse and prices got higher.

It has been a year the last time I was here. Yesterday I went again with big hopes but I'm not sure if the owners are changed. But food is completely changed as well as there is no table service anymore. It is self service, which is 100% ok but the size of the food is now incredibly small. I'm very disappointed.

Expensive meals with little food/content. In terms of taste, it's (very) below average. Speedometers were very loose...a no go.. Drinks in 0.3L or 0.2L bottles and charge around €4 for them… Unpleasant atmosphere with audible table bangs from the kitchen.

I'm sorry but the service is terrible, sometimes appearances can be deceiving and the truth is we ordered two orders of tacos and I didn't complain about the taste, it was delicious. But the attention of those who run the business seems like someone was asking for a gift and no way to return

After spending a lot of time in Mexico and Latin America, I can say that this taqueria is the most authentic in Frankfurt. Ingredients, flavors and service 10/10.

Were there for the second time yesterday. Price for 4 (small) tacos has increased from €10 to €11. The salsa is now available packaged in small plastic bowls instead of being self-serve (why?) The price-performance ratio is not right. I think it's a shame that the place is becoming classic fast food. A bit bland in taste. I ordered Suadero (with beef brisket) but got lamb. Tinga de pollo was good.

As a Mexican, I previously highly recommended this restaurant as the best Mexican food in Frankfurt, even with its change to Taqueria I still liked it a lot. I must have sent more than thirty people. Now I'm a little embarrassed to recommend it because the last few times I've gone almost everything is crossed out on their menu, especially the few vegetarian options, they never accept card payment, the portions are smaller. Anyway, I hope they get their act together because the tacos are very delicious.

Taqueria!!! You have to realize that you can't eat big dishes here. The portions are not enough to fill you up. But, the tacos with different fillings are good and the tortillas are very tasty. Very good between meals.

Doe tacos are good, but since the shop has self-service, the filling of the tacos is significantly less and the portions are now very small. When I asked the waiter what the difference was between the different pork tacos, he just looked at me and said, "I don't understand the question." Even on repeat he couldn't tell me what the difference was between the three different pork tacos.

Eh, very disappointing after they changed the concept! I liked the restaurant better before but now it’s just a cafeteria/cantine feeling. Prices are way too high for the low quality of foods. Margaritas cost €8.50 and are served in a small plastic cup…Absolutely not okay. I would never pay that again. No utensils offered when asked to eat my quesadilla. To be honest, I ordered 1 quesadilla and I was still hungry afterwards but it cost me €10 or 11€! There’s no way I am paying €22 for quesadillas. Prices are way too expensive for what you get. Sorry to say!

Once a full-fledged restaurant, today it's more like Mexican fast food (only a very small selection of dishes). Still tasty and affordable, highly recommended for taco lovers, but the ambience is quite "sober".

I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. The bland quesadilla was dripping with grease. There was no cutlery, but the tortilla was so greasy that you couldn't eat it with your fingers. The bottom of the basket was completely full of oil. The lamb in the tacos was sometimes slippery - inedible. The guacamole was a thin sauce that tasted like nothing. Beer was served in plastic cups. The staff seems like they would like to get rid of you straight away: order straight away, pay straight away. The waiter reacted insulted to criticism from other guests. It's a shame, there used to be a really great Mexican restaurant here. The new concept doesn't work for me at all.

Simple but good. It is self-service. The food was very tasty and everyone can choose sauce according to their taste.

Best tacos in Frankfurt. Authentic Mexican tacos, very delicious. Can't go wrong with any of the choices. They used to take card (and the door even has a list of cards accepted) but they do not accept card anymore so bring cash. They also have around 6 salsas to put on your tacos and they are delicious. The spicy ones (scharf) are actually Mexican level (not German level) spicy so if you are not sure about the spice level only take a little bit first. I love spicy and this is one of the few places in FFM that I can find actual spicy.

Wir waren sehr begeistert von "Fonda de Santiago", welches eher den Eindruck eines Imbisses als eines Restaurants machte. Die Speisekarte ist Recht klein. Dennoch sind die angebotenen Tacos so wie Burritos sehr lecker. Hier hat man auch eine Auswahl an verschiedenen Soßen von der man sich jederzeit bedienen kann. Die Soßen konnte man leider nicht so einfach nehmen, da hier alles auf Selbstbedienung konzipiert ist. Es werden hierbei keine Soßenbecher angeboten. Alles andere erhält man in Einwegteller und -besteck. Dennoch war das Essen wirklich sehr lecker.

I've eaten here several times now. I will say that the tacos are really good. Its no Mexico City taco restaurant but for FFM, its decent. My favorite are the tacos de pastor. I wish they made tacos de asada! Their salsas are tasty as well. I've tried all of them. Some are really spicy which I love. The price for a plate of four tacos is 10€. However, you can only order two different kind of tacos per plate. For example, two pastor and two cochinitas. So, if you want 6 tacos, they won't allow you to order 6, you must order 4 or 8 tacos. Make it make sense? Even though they have a Visa/Mastercard credit card sign on their door, they don't accept debit or credit cards. Only EC card and cash accepted.

They have updated their menu as of October 2023 and I must say I like it even more. The tacos are amazing as always and many more options for them. No need to make a reservation. But you do have to order and pay upfront.

Absolut authentische mexikanische Küche, mit Fokus auf Tacos. Dazu gibt es typische Getränke und die Tacos können beliebig mit verschiedenen Soßen gewürzt werden. Äußerst nettes Personal und authentisches Ambiente runden jeden Besuch ab. Eine klare Empfehlung, richtig mexikanisch zu essen.

Wir hatten uns so auf den ersten Besuch gefreut. Aber wir werden dort kein zweites Mal hingehen. Das Essen ist schlecht gemacht bis ungenießbar. Satt kann man von dem dann doch überteuertem Fast Food nicht werden. Getränke gibt es nur im Plastikbecher (Hallo, wir haben das Jahr 2023 in Mitteleuropa! Hallo, Klimawandel!!). Ambiente und Gastfreundlichkeit waren top. Service, Nachhaltigkeit und Essen sehr verbesserungswürdig.

Sehr leckeres Essen ABER.. -leider ist es kein Restaurant sondern mehr ein Imbiss. (Selbstbedienung obwohl der Laden gefühlt nur 20qm hat und 2 Leute hinter der Bar stehen) -Getränke in Plastikbechern. -Soßen aber keine Schälchen dafür. Auf Nachfrage gab es Schnapps Plastikbecher mit denen man sich Soße nehmen konnte (es war eine riesen Sauerei) Alles in allem würden wir nicht wieder kommen, höchstens als take away.

Pro: Nettes Personal, Essen lecker, Deko ist ganz nett Contra: Kleine Portionen, Plastikbecher statt Gläser, keine richtigen Schälchen fürs Salsa-Buffet, ziemlich dunkler Raum, Selbstbedienung, keine Beilagen auf der Speisekarte, selbst beim Essen vor Ort wird der Burrito in Alufolie verpackt. Ist eher ein Imbiss als ein Restaurant. Die guten Bewertungen passen nicht mehr wirklich. Werden eher nicht wiederkommen.

2 Mal besucht. Das Essen ist gut, aber die Bedienung ist leider unfreundlich. Alles andere als mexikanische Kultur. Und dazu völlig absurd ein Restaurant, dass bereits um 10 Uhr schließt.
