The staff tried their best, but this has little to do with Tex-Mex beyond the name. The burritos and quesadillas were filled with carrots, zucchini, and green beans. The salsa tasted like the ready-made sauce from the supermarket. I haven't been this disappointed by a meal in a long time. And then they overcharged me on the bill.

The food is always amazing! The place is a bit small, but I sometimes get takeaway, and it still tastes just as good and warm at home.

The food here is okay, but unfortunately, nothing more. However, it could easily be improved. The guacamole and salsa recipes could be seasoned a bit better, and instead of the rather tasteless vegetables, they could use spicy frijoles or spicy roasted peppers. Some kind of chicken alternative would be great for the veggie options.

We were at Chichillas Frankfurt with eight people. The service was friendly, they immediately arranged a large table for us, and took our orders very nicely – that was really great. The drinks also came promptly, but they simply placed bottles (e.g., apple juice, cola, spritzer) along with plastic cups – that seems a bit simple for a restaurant. The food arrived after about 15 minutes, so it was pretty quick. I know Latin American cuisine very well and have to say: it's unfortunately not authentic. Fresh cilantro, which plays an important role in Mexican cuisine, is not offered. The dishes are mildly seasoned, not spicy. The red jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese obviously came from the frozen food aisle (three with mango sauce). Burritos and tacos also tasted more like a mix of Afghan and German cuisine than Mexican. The yellow rice and the vegetables served with it are also not recommended – typical frozen vegetables, lightly seasoned, with some iceberg lettuce with tomatoes and cucumbers. Overall, the taste is okay, but definitely not authentic Mexican cuisine. You pay at the counter. The place is small, cozy, but rather simple. Bottom line: friendly service, fast food, but anyone looking for authentic Mexican food will be disappointed.

The veggie burrito isn't recommended. The filling consisted only of rice with carrots (similar to curry), lots of raw onions and peppers, and iceberg lettuce. The cheese quesedilla, however, was delicious.

The taste had nothing to do with Tex-Mex. Visually, just a little...

Quesadillas and cheese tacos 👍 Recommended The flavor is just right, not overpowering. The chicken and beef are tender, and the spicy yet delicious sauce is especially impressive!! Not only the Koreans, but even the international staff I worked with all said it was delicious.

Really tasty and really affordable

Very tasty food and very good service. Great value for money. We ordered 15 dishes for around 150€. Everyone was full and there was leftover food.

I’m from Texas, and I know everything wouldn’t be exact, but the staff here did a fine job with some comfort food. I was missing a little “back home” cooking, and this definitely satisfied me. Plus the staff were very friendly and accommodating!

i get their beef burrito about twice a month, and despite the inconsistent portioning each time. it hits the spot, and i say this as an american. speaking of which: i see some complain how “inauthentic” or “not mexican” this place is . its TEX MEX ffs—meaning between texas and mexico. not to mention that the burrito was invented in LA 🤣

I really wanted to try a few things they offered so we ordered a variety of things . I have to say it has nothing to do with Mexican food ! The food was not nice at all . Will Never go back again. The quesadilla was more of toasted bread with cheese. In total if u want to eat Mexican this is the right place on m opinion .

Nachos were simple, only nachos, chicken, and cheese, and came just with one sauce. Guacamole was not good. Service non existing, had to stand up twice to go get something. BBQ Meat was good. Limonade was bad. Ate outside.

We ordered one salad con pollo and 2 burritos from this place. The order got cancelled after 1 hour. I called them and they said they don't know anything. They couldn't speak English, and even Spanish. What kind of Mexican place can't speak Spanish. Eventually we didn't manage to eat from this place. The level of service was that bad. Shame.

Unfortunately, veggie tacos were inedible and not authentic at all (random soft vegetables with cold cheese on top) - I can't recommend them.

I absolutely loved my visit to Chichilas Tex Mex! The food was incredibly tasty, freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The tacos in particular were a real highlight. 🥑🌶️ The staff was super friendly, attentive and took great care of us. The atmosphere in the restaurant is extremely pleasant. I'll definitely be back and can recommend Chichilas Tex Mex to everyone.🌯✨

Bomb 5* Brutally hot, really hot Chimichangas ftw xD

Just as little Spanish is spoken here, the dishes taste little like Mexican cuisine. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't taste bad. The dishes themselves have Mexican names and some of them look like them too. But in terms of taste (ingredients, spices, etc.) it's miles away. Fries and homemade lemonade were delicious. Nacho's special is loveless and boring. Enchilada and burrito boring and only superficially Mexican. The ambience and service are less like a restaurant and more like a fast food restaurant. Price-performance is completely OK. Overall, you can eat here and it mostly tastes good. But if you want authentic Mexican food, you should go somewhere else.

Tasty Tex-Mex food. We were passing through Frankfurt and gave this place a try for lunch. Good food and quite popular - most of the tables were full of people eating. We would eat here if we were in Frankfurt again.

Highly recommended - tasty - good atmosphere

In the summer the people who work there were super nice and smiling. Today everyone was really in a bad mood, rude, judgmental. The tables and menus are extremely greasy and dirty. Disgusting The food is still good and cheap.

We've been ordering here for a long time and the food is always outstanding!! Delivery is fast and reliable. When I misunderstood a promotion when ordering via Uber Eats, all the missing items that I had forgotten were delivered to me by the owner himself. That's service! Thank you again.

The food is delicious and I highly recommend this restaurant but they are not honest in their marketing tactics, I don't know why for example (check the pictures) in lieferando and ubereats a burrito costs 11,99€ and they're advertising that you can buy two for the price of one which is obviously a lie ! they say 50% off but it's actually only 20.8% I don't know why would they trick their customers ! please rectify !

We ordered for the first time today and are really impressed. I think it's great that it's vegan/gluten/lactose-free as the standard selection. The delivery was quick and the food was really tasty. The homemade guacamole and salsa are great! The portions are very good, everything is freshly made and no junk from a can. My highlight: spicy is finally really spicy! Excellent!

This afternoon I was at Chichilas Tex Mex Frankfurt - the first and last time. My order - a burrito - was taken by an unfriendly employee and put together without gloves and then collected with my hands. I didn't like the food! No recommendation!!

It was tasty, but the seating was very cramped and the ambience wasn't quite my thing. Unfortunately, we ended up being asked if we didn't want to go because there were so many reservations. Very vegan-friendly restaurant that also participates in Neotaste. Unfortunately, the vegan cheese doesn't melt so well on the nachos, maybe you can try the SimpyV one :) The dishes arrive quickly and taste good. The ambience is OK, but nothing special.

Ordered a takeout. Burritos vegan and four dips. It was awful honestly. Ate a bite and threw it away. Nothing tasted self made, chemical aftertaste, the sauces and guacamole were ready made. The tacos we haven’t tried but the vegan burritos were awful

The restaurant cannot do anything about the loud air conditioning and the truck traffic from the neighboring supermarket. But why is the "garden" so cluttered (junk in the corner, cigarette butts, napkins and old leaves on the floor...) and the tables not wiped down? Although there was little going on (1 other guest), none of the three employees cared. The portions were okay for the price.

I ordered mixed tacos, expressed interest in barbacoa at the counter and said that I like spicy and fresh herbs. I was asked to sit down. Even though it says "of your choice", I wasn't asked what I wanted in it, barbacoa wasn't included, there were no fresh herbs and it wasn't very spicy. Very few authentic flavors, more like grandma's bolo in the taco + cheese. Would have helped to ask me and not send me away from the counter. 🙈

The food was sweet and bland, which does not represent Tex-Mex food in any way. If you are looking for Mexican or Tex-Mex, this place is very far away from it. As a note the restaurant owner has been trying to remove negative reviews with the pretext that the person reviewing them never ate there... This is probably the reason why they have been managing a 4+ rating on their reviews.

The tacos are really, really delicious. Spicy tacos are also recommended, especially for those who like spicy food🔥 Last time I visited, the tacos were so delicious that I decided to try other menu items this time. The ingredients are diverse and fresh. Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.👍👍👍 Not only the food, but I also highly recommend their homemade lemonade! It's really refreshing and tasty.👍👍👍 I will definitely visit again. This is the best restaurant in Frankfurt.

We ordered quesadillas, tacos and enchilada, it had no Mexican taste, too much oil, tasteless rice and vegetables. Bland meat. Also they have a rude waiter who looks down on the customers!

I visited here on the recommendation of a family member who has been here several times. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. The fresh tacos and various food options were attractive, and most of all, they tasted really great. Especially the owner is friendly. If I come to Germany again I will definitely visit this place again.

Recommended for to-go orders. The atmosphere in the restaurant is not particularly inviting and it didn't seem cleaned. The meal came quickly because no one else was there. The cheese tacos and burrito were tasty but not particularly flavorful like other Mexican restaurants. All in all, we didn't like it that much.
