Chichilas Tex Mex in Frankfurt am Main

We went to Chichilas for the first time today...I was so surprised and thrilled by the delicious food. Staff very friendly. Locally clean...thank you, see you soon.

Highly recommended - tasty - good atmosphere

In the summer the people who work there were super nice and smiling. Today everyone was really in a bad mood, rude, judgmental. The tables and menus are extremely greasy and dirty. Disgusting The food is still good and cheap.

We've been ordering here for a long time and the food is always outstanding!! Delivery is fast and reliable. When I misunderstood a promotion when ordering via Uber Eats, all the missing items that I had forgotten were delivered to me by the owner himself. That's service! Thank you again.

Very tasty tacos. A visit is worth it

The food is delicious and I highly recommend this restaurant but they are not honest in their marketing tactics, I don't know why for example (check the pictures) in lieferando and ubereats a burrito costs 11,99€ and they're advertising that you can buy two for the price of one which is obviously a lie ! they say 50% off but it's actually only 20.8% I don't know why would they trick their customers ! please rectify !

We ordered for the first time today and are really impressed. I think it's great that it's vegan/gluten/lactose-free as the standard selection. The delivery was quick and the food was really tasty. The homemade guacamole and salsa are great! The portions are very good, everything is freshly made and no junk from a can. My highlight: spicy is finally really spicy! Excellent!

This afternoon I was at Chichilas Tex Mex Frankfurt - the first and last time. My order - a burrito - was taken by an unfriendly employee and put together without gloves and then collected with my hands. I didn't like the food! No recommendation!!

It was tasty, but the seating was very cramped and the ambience wasn't quite my thing. Unfortunately, we ended up being asked if we didn't want to go because there were so many reservations. We found it a bit inappropriate as we had reserved our table ourselves and would have liked to chat and drink a bit.

Very vegan-friendly restaurant that also participates in Neotaste. Unfortunately, the vegan cheese doesn't melt so well on the nachos, maybe you can try the SimpyV one :) The dishes arrive quickly and taste good. The ambience is OK, but nothing special.

Both the lemonade and our food were simply great. The food came quickly and the service was friendly. I particularly recommend the chimichangas and quesadilla. I would definitely eat here again!

Ordered a takeout. Burritos vegan and four dips. It was awful honestly. Ate a bite and threw it away. Nothing tasted self made, chemical aftertaste, the sauces and guacamole were ready made. The tacos we haven’t tried but the vegan burritos were awful

The restaurant cannot do anything about the loud air conditioning and the truck traffic from the neighboring supermarket. But why is the "garden" so cluttered (junk in the corner, cigarette butts, napkins and old leaves on the floor...) and the tables not wiped down? Although there was little going on (1 other guest), none of the three employees cared. The portions were okay for the price.

I ordered mixed tacos, expressed interest in barbacoa at the counter and said that I like spicy and fresh herbs. I was asked to sit down. Even though it says "of your choice", I wasn't asked what I wanted in it, barbacoa wasn't included, there were no fresh herbs and it wasn't very spicy. Very few authentic flavors, more like grandma's bolo in the taco + cheese. Would have helped to ask me and not send me away from the counter. 🙈

The food was sweet and bland, which does not represent Tex-Mex food in any way. If you are looking for Mexican or Tex-Mex, this place is very far away from it. As a note the restaurant owner has been trying to remove negative reviews with the pretext that the person reviewing them never ate there... This is probably the reason why they have been managing a 4+ rating on their reviews.

The tacos are really, really delicious. Spicy tacos are also recommended, especially for those who like spicy food🔥 Last time I visited, the tacos were so delicious that I decided to try other menu items this time. The ingredients are diverse and fresh. Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.👍👍👍 Not only the food, but I also highly recommend their homemade lemonade! It's really refreshing and tasty.👍👍👍 I will definitely visit again. This is the best restaurant in Frankfurt.

This restaurant has very rude waiters. Definetly not recommended, if you like to be treated with respect.

The service was rather disappointing

We ordered quesadillas, tacos and enchilada, it had no Mexican taste, too much oil, tasteless rice and vegetables. Bland meat. Also they have a rude waiter who looks down on the customers!

I visited here on the recommendation of a family member who has been here several times. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. The fresh tacos and various food options were attractive, and most of all, they tasted really great. Especially the owner is friendly. If I come to Germany again I will definitely visit this place again.

Food is okay, but not very good, more like fast food quality. Operation difficult to understand, not very fluent in German. It would be acceptable if it cost around 60-65%, but it is way too expensive for what is offered.

Recommended for to-go orders. The atmosphere in the restaurant is not particularly inviting and it didn't seem cleaned. The meal came quickly because no one else was there. The cheese tacos and burrito were tasty but not particularly flavorful like other Mexican restaurants. All in all, we didn't like it that much.

The food was so delicious! We also ordered cocktails which I forgot to take a picture of. I had a mohito and compared to other places, it was very good.

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite a confirmed reservation, our table was not prepared, which left a bad first impression. The quality of the food left a lot to be desired. It completely lacked flavor, the beans were hard and the salad ingredients were not fresh but appeared to be at least five hours old and were dry. The dish was in no way TexMex or Mexican cuisine. Just because corn and beans are used doesn't automatically make a dish Mexican. Unfortunately, the service wasn't any better either. The staff was unfriendly and in some cases even rude. Given the good location of the restaurant, I expected much more. The prices were also far too high for the quality offered. It would be nice if the restaurant improved, but personally I won't review this again.

We ordered two vegan dishes. The food was not very spicy and not particularly tasty. The filling in the wrap was then served again 1 to 1 as a side dish. We paid €14 for this. Unfortunately. I wouldn't eat there again.

The restaurant is an absolute recommendation. The service is very friendly and also very fast. What I really like are the pictures in the menu. What bothers me a little is the choice of menu at the Mexican restaurant. I would have imagined nachos as a side dish rather than fries. I highly recommend the chimichangas

The waiter and the food were great. The facilities were old and there was only one toilet. But you have to say that it is difficult to get nice restaurant space in the Frankfurt area. We'll definitely be back and the food was impressive.

Great taste and great service! We recently visited the Chichilas Tex Mex Restaurant in Frankfurt and absolutely loved it! The food was incredibly tasty and freshly prepared. We ordered a burrito and an enchilada and both were simply delicious. The service was extremely nice and accommodating - she even kindly lent us a charging cable and surprised us with an additional dip on the house! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine.

I had the vegetarian enchilada, didn't taste good at all. Vegetables were completely overcooked and had nothing Mexican at all. Guacamole tasted like a convenience store mix (and probably is).

After church visit, we decided to eat something mouth-watering but affordable. So we tried this CHICHILAS TexMex cozy restaurant. The food has the best combination of sweet, salty, piquant, and hot. Has a variety of textures which makes the food appetizing and mouth-watering. I love tacos and quesadillas so, I ordered one and my friends love the burritos, and was really suprised how big and worth the price. It is more than just eating a good meal, it's an experience that brings family and friends together. So, yes! thumbs-up for this! Absolutely scrumptious and affordable. Would definitely come back to this place. 🩷

The shop attracted my friends due to its charming atmosphere, and we were craving Mexican food. However, it turned out to be one of the worst tasting Mexican meals I've ever had. The flavor was off, somehow both salty and bland. The side salad was disappointing, consisting only of lettuce and a few kernels of corn. Overall, the meal fell short of expectations. On the bright side, the fries were good.

The only good thing about this place is that the employees are nice but food is so bad. I have no idea how this place is 4 stars, or how people can stand to eat it! Every item we got was literally drenched in oil. I don’t expect the food to be completely healthy but it was literally inedible and tasteless! This is probably the worst food I’ve had in Frankfurt and I don’t recommend anyone to come if you have an appetite, especially for “Tex-mex.” I wish I had more positive things to say.
