Sehr nettes und herzliches Betreiberehepaar. Gute ungarische Küche und tolles Ambiente direkt neben der Startbahn umgeben von Natur.

In Reil hatte alles geschlossen und er war schwierig an einem Dienstag Abend etwas zu Essen zu finden. Zum Glück sind wir zum Flugplatz gefahren. Ganz toller Wirt, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefüht. Das Essen war fantastisch. Er konnte sogar sehr viele Gerichte glutenfrei anbieten, da er sich selbst glutenfrei ernährt. Für mich als Zöli ein Traum! Wir kommen definitiv nochmal wieder. Zusatz: Ein zweites Mal dort gewesen, auch Eis und Cappuccino und Gulasch ein absoluter Traum!

Das Essen ist hervorragend, die Speisekarte gut und die Portionen sehr großzügig. Allerdings war das Personal an diesem Tag mit dem großen Andrang völlig überfordert.

Hervorragendes Restaurant mit supernettem, charismatischem Wirt und seiner total lieben Frau. Beide sind sehr herzlich! Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, total lecker und Portionen auch hervorragend. Wir sind extra von Reil her gefahren und es hat sich jeder Meter gelohnt. Wir kommen wieder und waren unheimlich zufrieden - Egészségedre!🍀

Kleines gepflegtes Restaurant. Die Küche ist sehr gut. Personal sehr freundlich, kommen sehr gerne wieder. (Leider fand bei unserem Besuch kein Flugbetrieb statt. Ansonsten ist die Aussicht auf dem Flugplatz hervorragend)

Sehr leckeres Essen, Personal super freundlich und ein wirklich schön gelegener Ort. Sehr zu empfehlen. Waren das erste Mal hier und werden noch öfter vorbei schauen.

Es ist schön, die Flugzeuge hier starten und landen zu sehen. Man kann hier gut essen und ein leckeres Bier genießen. Das Personal ist freundlich, könnte aber öfter vorbeischauen. Ansonsten ist es ein netter Ort zum Verweilen!

Die Betreiber sind super nett. Sie kamen an den Tisch und fragten, wie es uns schmeckt. Das Essen war auch toll und sehr reichhaltig. Kommen gerne wieder. Man sitzt draußen auch wirklich gut.

Wir haben in ruhiger Lage neben dem Segelflugplatz köstlich gegessen. Die Fahrt hat sich absolut gelohnt und der Landal-Park ist nicht weit entfernt.

Ganz tolles Lokal mit super leckeren Speisen. Für jeden Geschmack und jede Magengröße. Service auch freundlich und aufmerksam. Sehr zu empfehlen!!

Wir waren hier zum Abendessen mit 5 Leuten dort (eine Person hatte nicht mit gegessen) und hatten uns dort und hatten und zwei unterschiedliche Arten Gulasch und Langos bestellen und hatten diese auch Recht schnell serviert bekommen alles war sehr lecker. Das einzige was bemängelt wurde war das das Gulasch relativ scharf war jedoch kam dies von einer Person die eigentlich Garnicht schärferesistent ist deswegen ist das nur ein Hinweis falls sie selbst Schärfe nicht so gut vertragen. 😅 Ansonsten wer nach einem Restaurant mit rustikalen Essen sucht für den ist das hier definitiv das richtige!

Das Essen war einfach nur der Hammer,man schmeckt,dass mit Liebe gekocht wird. Alle waren freundlich und zuvorkommend. Und das Ganze gab es auch noch zu einem äußerst fairen Preis.

Waren heute zum Mittagessen dort und sind mehr als begeistert. Sehr, sehr leckeres Gulasch und auch das Cordon Bleu war super . Die Portion war mehr als üppig dadurch passte leider kein Nachtisch mehr rein . Ganz liebe und herzliche Wirtsleute wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können jeden nur empfehlen dort einzukehren. Wir haben diese Woche zwei köstliche Mahlzeiten genossen. Es ist eine halbe Stunde zu Fuß von Landal Mont Royal entfernt. Es liegt an einem unerwarteten Ort in der Nähe des Segelflugclubs.

A small restaurant right next to the glider airport with typical Hungarian food. Delicious and the owner is very friendly. Always happy to return and highly recommended.

We were greeted with a smile and then had langos as a starter, which was absolutely delicious. For the main course, I had Hungarian goulash, and my wife had chicken steak with fries. Everything was delicious, and the fries were incredibly crispy. The owner asked if we enjoyed our meal, and we politely replied, "Very tasty." A truly great restaurant. Highly recommended ❤️☺️

Hungarian restaurant at the light airplane field is very good and cozy. Very friendly personal (probably the owners) and very nice food, including the Hungarian specials.

I came here as a child, and I'm back now. I highly recommend the food, friendly service, and the chef personally asks how it tasted. The goulash soup and Szeged goulash are particularly delicious. I'd happily come back again.

The first – modest – impression is deceptive. The staff and chef are very friendly and open to requests. Those who like spicy or hot food should try the fantastic goulash soup, for example.

Not worth it. Sitting on plastic chairs and with very simple dishes, cold fish dish, it was quite disappointing. Parking space enough but the gravel road afterwards has many holes and is not maintained.

Here we had Hungarian deer goulash with schupfnudeln. The meat in the goulash was very dry and together with the schupfnudeln not really a good combination. The host is very friendly but also a bit exaggerated; all the women are "beautiful women" something that does not really come across as credible and when this is repeated several times it even becomes annoying. Not worth repeating for us, too bad!

We happened upon this restaurant by chance while hiking at the airport. From the outside, we expected a chip shop. The plastic chairs and beer benches made the first impression. We were then warmly welcomed by the owner and chef, who also serves the food. A truly great guy! In addition to the menu and his good humor, he brought additional recommendations and a relaxed atmosphere to the table. The food we ordered was truly delicious and superbly prepared for both vegetarians and meat eaters. The portions are just right for a big appetite. The service is exceptionally good and prompt. It was so good that we went back for dinner the next day. I definitely recommend a visit. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop by again. Many greetings to the owners! We came here because of the positive reviews. We both chose the goulash soup. It was absolutely excellent. The owner and his wife (we assume) were very friendly. The decor of the restaurant is rather simple but clean. We think it's highly recommended. This certainly won't be our last time here.

Very friendly hosts from Budapest, food good and inexpensive and open all day every day. Every now and then a plane drops by at the tranquil airfield and you have a box seat on the terrace. Easily accessible on foot from Traben-Trarbach or directly by plane. It's worth it!

Gem. Once you look past the plastic chairs, you realize that you are being served "real" food. No sauce from packets but everything homemade. In addition, the operators are "treasures" of people. Definitely recommended as an alternative to the cuisine of the Landal restaurant.

In a place where you don't expect it, at the end of a bumpy road near an air base, delicious food! The homemade goulash soup was perfectly balanced and the also homemade cordon bleu with Hollandaise is also recommended. Furthermore, incredibly friendly people and service. We would love to come back! Incidentally, also within (nice) walking distance of Landal Mont Royal (where the food is significantly less "homemade"...).

We ended up here because of the good reviews. The restaurant is very simple and the dining room doesn't look very inviting. You could get more out of it with little effort. But if that doesn't bother you... the food was excellent! Small, manageable menu, real Hungarian cuisine. There are also a few Moselle dishes. The innkeepers are very nice. We were very satisfied.

We visited the restaurant last night because of the good reviews and were completely impressed. The food was very tasty and prepared with love. The owners are attentive and very friendly, and there was also time for a few personal words. Our dog was welcome and immediately given a large bowl of water. The ambience is rustic with a stove burning. We'll definitely be back, if only because of the delicious goulash based on an original Hungarian recipe. Some restaurants in TT can learn a lesson from this 😉

We ate very well here. The goulash here is excellent. Only recommended... We were there twice in 2024 and again ate very well. Keep it up, we'll be back in 2025.

We and the helicopter pilots came for the delicious food. The super friendly staff and especially the goulash soup are real highlights. Worth a visit even without an air show.

Good menu, very nice staff, quick service. Prices are absolutely reasonable. Nice ambience. Unfortunately, I was unlucky that there was no pilot available to take a sightseeing flight during my stay. For sightseeing flights, it's better to call in advance. The place is absolutely recommended.

We came across this air-strip/airport restaurant serving Hungarian dishes on Google map, so decided to drive to this interesting place and was not disappointed! We ordered Hungarian beef goulash with potatoes and also Ratatouille. Food was very nice and hearty, prepared by a Hungarian couple with their lovely children around the house. In addition, we had 2 desserts because they were so delicious, we could not leave just eating 1 cake! We also took a photo with the restaurant folks as keepsake of our trip here in Germany. We also saw various kinds of take off by propeller plane, gliders and also landing!

Unfortunately I can't give it more than two stars. It was dirty, smelled of grease and was cold. Apparently the tablecloths haven't seen the inside of the washing machine for several weeks, and dust hasn't been wiped for a long time... The quality of the food was slightly worse than standard frozen products from the supermarket. It makes you full, but not happy. If you don't have any requirements, you can eat there, let alone the dishes that are on the menu are also available... I had a homemade cordon bleu with hollandaise sauce. The meat wasn't cooked enough for me, the cheese seemed to have been put on the schnitzel yesterday, the sauce didn't taste like hollandaise and in my opinion some of the stalk doesn't belong in a dry salad. Once and never weirder it sums it up quite well. :)

Had a delicious meal at the airport. Google maps still indicated that the road towards Traben-Trarbach was closed. But you can currently get to the airport from Mont Royal. We returned several times during our stay at Mont Royal for a drink and something tasty. The goulash soup was excellent. The langos and goulash are also recommended. Followed by a delicious ice cream. The view of the (glider) planes taking off and the super friendly service from a hard-working couple made it complete.

Small excursion restaurant right at the airport. The hospitality is warm/friendly and children are also very well looked after. It is ideal to visit at times when the terrace can be used (direct view of the airfield), inside it is tidy but you can see a certain amount of renovation behind it. The dishes on offer are always freshly prepared, there is an extensive ice cream menu and the selection of cakes is also okay (although they are no longer baked in-house).

Sorry, I don't know how the reviews came about so far. The innkeepers are very nice and the landlady's service is good, no question; the ambience, well. Matured. But the food wasn't that great. My partner's salmon was totally over-seasoned with hot paprika, the meat of my goulash was overgrown and of poor quality. The langos are good.

While we were hiking, we decided to go to the restaurant on the spur of the moment to have something to drink. We were immediately greeted very nicely. The restaurant is run by a couple from Hungary. Both are extremely nice. He cooks and she does the service. We had a very good time. We ended up staying longer than expected and eating there. Really delicious food. We had Hungarian goulash and a Hungarian bratwurst. Both dishes were really delicious and highly recommended. There was also a free schnapps after the meal. It would definitely be my favorite place if I lived nearby. Please keep it up, you're great.
