Flame Diner in Berlin

Interesting Kentucky atmosphere, simple as that. I had the ribs, but unfortunately, they were a bit too fatty and mushy under the overly salty sauce. We'll be back to try the burgers anyway. Let's see if the price/performance ratio is right.

The two of us wanted to visit Flame for the fifth time. This time the entire store was empty and there were no customers. We didn't want to sit by the window, but the lady insisted! The store was empty and we weren't allowed to choose another seat, so I left and I'm never coming back!!! And the explanation was the biggest joke of all: it was 4:40 p.m. and apparently everything is booked by 5 p.m. ... Simply unbelievable, I've never experienced anything like that in Berlin. Two people crammed into a small table when there are 40 free tables!

We were there many years ago. We went there spontaneously because it was nearby. Parking was a disaster. Service was okay, and the food was a burger, of course. Well, it didn't have that "aha" moment. It's a shame we remembered it being better. But it's a matter of taste, and everyone should form their own opinion. It's not my first choice for a burger.

Points deducted for the food: dry cheeseburger, stale fries. Too much Jim Beam, so the Coke was too weak. Had to go back twice. Very unfriendly man... The ladies were very nice. Great music.

The ambiance is really nice (except for the location in the middle of a parking lot; some privacy would have been nice here). The food was unfortunately somewhat bland, and when I pointed out that the vegetarian fajitas with just peppers and zucchini were a bit uninspired, it was simply noted. The desserts were apparently not homemade and were a bit disappointing. The cocktails and milkshake were very tasty, though. The prices, especially for the drinks, are quite high.

The burgers are VERY tasty and a decent size ❗ The patties are handmade. Next time I'll try the steak 😊. So, I'd love to go back 👍

We were there for the first time yesterday and were absolutely thrilled. The burgers were incredibly delicious, and the ribs fell right off the bone. The cocktails were also delicious. The atmosphere is very welcoming and perfectly suited. There's even a pool table available. We'd love to come back.

Super tasty burgers and crispy fries. Great atmosphere. But one downside: too many smokers outside on the terrace. Absolutely unacceptable. There was even a dedicated smoking area.

The food was truly delicious, and there was a wide selection of dishes and drinks, so there was something for everyone. The prices were very reasonable, and the staff were very friendly, courteous, and attentive. The only issue we encountered during our visit was that we had to wait over an hour for our food, but that was probably because we arrived at a time when a lot of people were ordering their food. It didn't bother me too much, and it didn't ruin the evening. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and come back again!

I'm used to the rather mediocre service. I understand that at events, you have to pay for your order before you get your food or drinks. However, the response to asking about the drink I waited a bit longer for shouldn't be "you just have to be patient sometimes." If the previous owner then tells you that you're the kind of guest no one wants and asks if I expect the red carpet to be rolled out for me next time, all I can say is thank you, but there won't be a next time.

A fine place that transports you back in time. When it gets dark and all the lights come on, you're transported to another world. Great DJs, my favorite is "Wildcat Udo," and great live music. It's also nice that the older generation still comes there to dance. The food is good, but could use a little extra polish. Prices are reasonable, and the service is very attentive. Highly recommended location.

Unfortunately, since the change of ownership, it's no longer recommended. The interior is the same and very nice. Prices are no longer acceptable for the quality offered and the mediocre service. It's a shame, as we enjoyed the place for many years. Now we're of the opinion "never again."

The food is okay; it's good if you like lots and lots of white flour. The service is mixed. The ambiance and the American style are really cool; there's a lot to see. We were there recently for a rock 'n' roll event with a live band. The band, however, was a disappointment. It all started with the fact that it was supposed to start at 7:30 p.m. At around 7:45 p.m., the singer started testing his microphone and, no joke, blared some "test test," smacking noises, and other things at full volume for 15 minutes. Very unpleasant. Around 8 p.m., it finally started. The music was way too loud. After a few songs, they noticed it and changed it. Then there was 40 minutes of music, followed by a 40-minute break. Then we had enough and left. Not recommended, unfortunately.

We were just there and invited my in-laws because they've always wanted to go to an American diner. So we decided to go there and weren't disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and helpful. The seats are very comfortable and the restrooms are very clean, too. Of all days, there wasn't any 50s music playing today, but it was still good!

This place looks like a piece of America frozen in time. It is beautifully decorated with props from movie and pop culture all the way from the 50s till 80s. They play pleasant music in the background, the service staff is lovely. The food is good and goes down well. Its a nice blend of American and Mexican Classics. I heard sometimes they even have music and dance nights but haven't been to those yet. Even if you just come for the food, you won't be disappointed.

An unassuming American diner in Marienfelde! In my opinion, they make the best burgers in town! They also serve delicious Bohemian dark beer. We've been coming here for years!

Top burgers, mega spare ribs, friendly service

This is a Fun place to eat and I have been several times with my Friends when I am in Town. The Food is very good and and so is the Service. It's always nice to catch up with friends over a nice Meal and Drinks. The Restaurant is well Maintained and clean. The Decorations are Fun and really make the ambiance of this Restaurant. I can highly recommend this Restaurant.

The place was actually great. But the drink prices ruin the visit. 4.50 for a 0.33 liter drink or 5.50 for a 0.4 liter shandy are no longer reasonable. I don't understand why they're driving away customers like that. The restaurant industry's whining is largely their own fault. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN

A really nice sixties-style diner. There was even live music that evening. The food is quite good, not perfect, but really good.

We love going here...the burgers taste great. The plates are beautifully presented, and the atmosphere is unique. The only downside is the prices...a bit overpriced.

I have to say, I'm truly amazed that in 2025 there are still restaurants that don't serve a single vegan main course. Even when I asked if a dish could be modified, I couldn't get a competent answer, and on top of that, my requests for modifications were simply ignored, so I ended up with a non-vegan coleslaw and a non-vegan burger (with a vegetable patty, but with mayonnaise). So I paid just under €20 for a 0.33l Coke and lukewarm, slightly soggy fries. The waitress was nice and understood my refusal to have a burger, but didn't act accordingly, offer me a compromise, or anything else. Furthermore, my friend had to wait so long for his Coke, which he ordered long before the food arrived, that he had already finished eating. We're talking about a wait of about half an hour, or even longer for a Coke. The atmosphere was fine, and the interior wasn't bad at all. But I almost lost my faith in the men's restroom. The entire wall was covered with some kind of pornographic, anti-feminist posters, which, I must say, fit the restaurant's target audience without wanting to offend anyone. However, I did get the feeling that there were quite a few "regulars" there, which the restaurant obviously couldn't do anything about. In conclusion, I have to say that while this restaurant is suitable for old white men, of whom there were plenty, it's not for vegans, feminists, or people who appreciate a good meal.

The burgers are very good, tasty, with great ingredients, well-filled, and a good size. The location is quaint and cozy. The staff is quick and very courteous. There's also an outdoor seating area. The regular events are always a highlight.

We've been coming here every now and then for years. The burgers, salads, and finger food have always been great. In the summer, it's nice to sit outside. You're actually sitting in a parking lot, but you can't hear the street, which is nice. Service is good and friendly. We still really enjoy eating there.

The food is very tasty you have a large selection between citizens with meat vegetarian and vegan. There are fries and sweet potato fries. The ambience is beautifully decorated in a classic American style with exhibits from classic films such as ET. The service is very good, but if you know in advance that you want to eat there on the weekend, you should reserve a table. The service is very nice and the food comes quickly. If you are in Marienfelde and want a delicious burger, this is 100% the right place for you. The burgers in the photos are really delicious.

Actually, as vegetarians, we've always been able to eat well there. The vegetable patties were very tasty. Unfortunately, something seems to have changed in the kitchen. The patties are swimming in oil, making them almost inedible. The same thing happened with the fries. The food was kindly returned, and we got a new burger, but this one was exactly the same. So we paid 60 euros and now have a stomach ache. Please inform the kitchen how the patties were prepared before, or reconsider the temperature of the fries. The staff remains friendly. We just wish they had been more accommodating.

Formerly our favorite diner – currently disappointing Until now, the Flame Diner was always a place where you could eat really well in a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of American flair. We were particularly impressed by the crispy fries and juicy veggie burger patties. Unfortunately, there seems to be a new chef now – and it's definitely noticeable. The fries this time were greasy and soft, and the burger patties also seemed soggy and unappetizing. Overall, the food was barely edible and far from the usual standard. It's a real shame, because we've always been happy to recommend the diner. We really hope the quality improves soon – then we'll gladly give the Flame Diner another chance!

New brooms sweep clean, they say. Flame Dinner has a new owner. We were back at Flame last night after two years: The food was good. A request for a half portion or a child's portion was only dismissed with lame excuses – like other pricing. An Arab employee dragged a kitchen trash can past us in the middle of our meal – it can ruin your appetite. Employees are on the phone during business hours, guests are a secondary concern. Oriental staff – no longer suitable, like the old waiter in his 50s look with his shorts, GI haircut, and thick horn-rimmed glasses. Our last visit was like, no thanks, I'd rather not go any more. A great shame about this good restaurant, which was always packed with guests – yesterday it was almost empty.

Once and never again. The reserved table was dirty. Food was almost cold. The starter had just been eaten when the main course arrived. Impossible. Some of the staff were not visible.

I'm very happy that you have so many good reviews. So my bad rating won't matter much, which I don't want because the store itself is really awesome. But I want this text to resonate. We were always completely satisfied, but unfortunately something seems to have changed. The pulled pork burger we ate at home today was really bad. The portion size has become significantly smaller. That alone might not be the problem, but making the burger look big by placing a veritable pile of cucumbers on top of the bun isn't an option. The coleslaw was also hard to find in the plastic container and the 10 fries were clearly too lean. Please, please, please... Stick to the usual quantity, especially since the quality of the burger suffered greatly from this method, because in the end you tasted more sour pickle than your delicious pork. I can fully understand the economics issue, but then just raise the prices. In any case, we would have preferred to pay more than get less quality.

Absolutely fantastic. I was here with a few friends and we had a great time. The decoration is so varied, there is something to discover in every corner and there are lots of nice surprises, especially for film lovers like me. My highlight was the music selection and the accompanying videos. I've never experienced anything like this before and I was simply thrilled. We ate so well that I still think about it today (and I have to admit, that evening was months (!) ago now). If anyone needs an insider tip for Berlin: here it is! Go there and fill your stomachs, it's worth it. Our waitress was in a great mood, joked with us, recommended great food and at the end, when we asked, even took a souvenir photo for us. And I'm not a tourist here, I live in Berlin! Unfortunately I don't remember exactly what her name was, I think "Biggi". But it's not that bad, I'll be back very soon. 😋

The Flame Diner offers a cool ambience with delicious food and friendly service. The prices aren't exactly cheap, but the food always tastes good and any extra requests are fulfilled. We like going there and can recommend it!

So I was really pleasantly surprised. Nice service, very attentive, food great 🔝. Then yesterday there was a DJ there with great music, you could even dance. But the very best and I think that's really great, your bartenders (deaf) did a great job, I really felt really comfortable. And to all deaf people 🧏‍♀️ you will feel really comfortable there. At least I did, it was a great evening and we'd love to come back.

Yes, the staff was very nice, but you didn't immediately know whether they were visitors or employees. Very welcoming restaurant! You just feel good at Flames. You immerse yourself in a 70s diner. The decoration is on point and the music in the background rounds everything off. As a film lover, you can find an incredible number of gimmicks from big films (Back to the Future, ET, etc.). The longer you look around, the more you can immerse yourself. The food is delicious and you get decent portions. You can divide ketchup and mayo yourself as desired. The burgers are large and as you can see in the picture you always get the size! Add a large portion of fries and everything is rounded off USA style. Our secret tip is the Mexican Burger! We would love to come back and can only recommend it!

A nice diner with a really great program. It was an old-school music event that day. Super cool DJs. Great, old hip hop music. Nice people, very friendly staff. From 9:30 p.m. onwards, you can enjoy the music without a reservation. Unfortunately, the dance floor is a bit small, but it's not a club, and it was very warm. It was really fun though. Thank you for a pleasant evening.

This is particularly nice for dance events as there is a pleasantly large dance floor. Only the speakers aren't the best, the bass creaks quite a bit. The audience is very mixed, from 25 to 75 😉

Unfortunately I can only give 4 stars for food, service and ambience. Food, not quite my world and somehow greasy and fries sticky... Service was ok, attentive but the “welcome” was missing. Ambience: yes/no, our table wasn't super clean and somehow America was everywhere but I missed the kitsch.

Visited the FLAME DINER for the first time today. Super nice American "oldshool" diner, with everything blinky blinky from Elvis to ET and Grood. The service was great, you feel like you've known each other forever and can enjoy the atmosphere and food in peace. Service including the kitchen was perfect. Spareribs are by far the best ever, so everything was unbeatably good. A big thank you... and we will definitely be repeat offenders

The diner is very tastefully and stylishly decorated. As a starter, Nachos Arizona with two dips of aioli and sour cream, the aioli had no taste. Then for a whopping €24.90 Fajitas American Beef the delights are not overcooked until tender, carelessly prepared and lukewarm, boring in taste. The drinks on the other hand were OK 👌 Cuba Libre and Fidel Castro if you want something to drink then the price is OK but way too expensive.💸💸

We had our company Christmas party there on Friday December 6th, 2024. So you knew there would be a large group of people coming, because a nursing service doesn't just have one employee! The meat of the burgers was fried to death. You had to wait almost an hour for a drink. When asked, the answer was that there were simply too many of them. So that doesn't work at all! If I'm expecting a large group, I either get additional staff for the evening or cancel straight away. The cocktails were mediocre, you could have just ordered mocktails. The staff was visibly overwhelmed. The sign outside to Open End should be removed, as this is not true. At 11 p.m. you were allowed to order your last drink and at 12:10 a.m. you were then kindly escorted out. So much for Open End!!

Best onion rings ever, great western burger with extra bacon and for the wife a sensational Caesar's chicken steak burger. Heart wants more. Tiny point of criticism - the top of the bun was a bit dry, so one would have liked a juicy brioche bun.

Nice, American-looking diner with a great atmosphere. The food is decent, especially the burgers and the ribs. The cheesecake and the blonde angel are not recommended. All in all a good location.
