The fries were great, the burgers were good - but too expensive.

Our visit to Five Guys on the Reeperbahn was a mixed bag. The restaurant was only moderately busy, yet there were clear organizational problems. Several people were working in the kitchen, but apparently only one server was responsible for the dining area. This server couldn't keep up and constantly had to switch between cleaning tables and bringing food to customers. Many tables hadn't been left clean by previous guests, making it difficult for new customers to find a seat and sometimes even forcing them to clean up themselves. The floor was also quite dirty in places. Despite its location on the Reeperbahn, a restaurant should maintain a higher level of order and cleanliness. The wait time was also noticeable. Customers who ordered after us received their food first. Our food finally arrived, tasted good, but unfortunately, it was already cold. On the positive side: The burgers were delicious and high-quality. I especially appreciated that you can choose your own toppings at the self-service kiosk. The selection is varied and stands out positively.

Nwxt Level fries and burgers. Forget the "others".

I ate a burger at this chain for the first time. I was expecting a double burger with jalapeños. Well, reading the order is definitely an advantage. Of course, that's all I got, but it was still very good and not dry at all. Next time I'm ordering a full burger. 🤣🤣🤣

Hygiene standards are abysmal, but there's a bouncer in front of the toilet (which overflows). The staff don't speak German. But they're so international.

The first Five Guys where the fries weren't crispy. I've been to several Five Guys restaurants and I love their fries, but these were unfortunately soggy. Plus, the place wasn't very clean. A definite recommendation. I deal with hygiene issues professionally, and during my visits, I never had any complaints. The staff is incredibly friendly, even if some only speak fluent English, which I wouldn't consider a negative for an American chain. Absolute garbage... almost €50 for two tiny burgers, prepared without any care, tasteless, and nothing else. They're like sandwiches; the burger buns are just grilled upside down and nothing's on them. For that price, you'd be better off going to McDonald's or Burger King ten times over. Here you'll find a very friendly and efficient team. They keep the place clean and serve the food quickly. On top of that, the staff have friendly smiles and the restrooms are clean.

Unfortunately, we had terrible luck with our food at Fiveguys. The food arrived ice-cold and soggy. The taste was a complete disappointment, and the portions were far too small for the exorbitant price. A real disappointment.

I was in Hamburg on a business trip and stopped at Five Guys on the Reeperbahn, and I was craving a burger. The fries were delicious and perfectly seasoned, and the burger was also good. Way too expensive for what you get. The prices are completely outrageous; I expect at least some quality and order. Instead, the fries were just carelessly thrown into the bag, all greasy and unappetizing. The wait was far too long—even though the place wasn't even full. The ordering system is also questionable: if you don't select any toppings, you just get the bare meat in a bun—who comes up with something like that? Overall: expensive, disorganized, sloppy, and absolutely not worth the money.

Price performance too expensive

I gave Five Guys another (third) chance to win me over today. I've been to the Jungfernstieg location twice before, and today I tried the one in the Reeperbahn district. My previous experiences were consistent, and my expectations were met! In short: it was the last time I'll be here for a burger. I'll definitely be back for the fries, though! In detail: I had a bacon cheeseburger with various toppings, regular fries, and a drink. The burger was a good size, the price was reasonable, and it was filling. However, the flavor wasn't outstanding, and it was only lukewarm. Of course, when the patty is completely surrounded by cold components, that's no surprise! The bacon, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms weren't freshly prepared; they came straight from the refrigerator. The cheese hadn't even started to soften, and the bun was at most room temperature—not warmed or grilled. As a result, the entire burger was, unfortunately, the (expected) disappointment! The fries, on the other hand, were amazing! €7 for a regular portion isn't cheap, but this portion is more like double or triple the size you'd get elsewhere! Fresh, with skin on, crispy, lightly salted with the option to add more seasoning. Simply perfect. Just like before. In short: I'd make a special trip here anytime just for fries! Small addendum: The restrooms were unclean at 1 p.m., two hours after opening. The restaurant itself was also very dirty, and the outdoor area was filthy!

I went there once years ago, and the burgers were a complete mess with all the ingredients mixed together. I tried it again yesterday; the burgers were okay but almost cold, the fries weren't cooked through and sat for about 10 minutes before the guys finally managed to prepare 5 burgers after 20 minutes (the place was practically empty). And to top it all off, they just threw a scoop of fries loosely into the door—what was that all about?! I paid 85 euros.

This has nothing to do with fast food; even with an empty restaurant, there was at least a 15-minute wait. The beef was okay, the fries were cooked well enough, but not crispy. It was a one-time try. All in all, I prefer In&Out or A&W.

I really can't understand some of the reviews. They're typical American burgers. Freshly prepared and really tasty. The fries were also very good. The person who took our order didn't speak a word of German. Overall, the store didn't make the cleanest impression. The burgers and fries were, as always, very good.

Last night, on my way home, I ordered a burger. The first one was completely cold inside, as if it had just come out of the fridge. After complaining, the second one was warm. It didn't help; when I got home, I got a case of food poisoning and spent the rest of the night on the toilet.

Since we didn't have time for dinner, we opted for the supposedly faster option at Five Guys. Unfortunately, it took over 30 minutes after ordering for the burgers and fries to arrive. We paid over €30 for two people and received fries that were carelessly thrown into a bag, as well as bland and already cold burgers, carelessly wrapped in aluminum foil. For this rather hefty price, the quality of the food was unfortunately unsatisfactory and barely edible. In my opinion, the team there seemed overwhelmed. I'm sorry, but under these circumstances, I can't give a positive review and will not be visiting this restaurant again.

The restrooms are filthy when they open at 11 a.m. A real tragedy for such a famous American fast-food chain. On top of that, the floor in the restaurant is so greasy that you almost slip. If the restrooms look like this and the faucets don't work, I'd assume the food isn't handled very hygienically either.

Completely overpriced, the burger was greasy and absolutely nothing special for the price. When ordering, they specifically asked for a burger without tomato, which is what it said on the delivery receipt! What came...with tomato, of course! So you either scrape it down or wait another 20 minutes!!! All the tables were dirty, some with ketchup, some with mayo, or other leftovers, so you had to grab a napkin first to avoid getting your sleeve dirty. During our visit, there was a huge wet spot right in front of us (probably someone spilled Coke, etc.) that none of the staff cared about. Nope...once and never again!

Ordered four times in a row via Wolt/Uber Eats, and each time our milkshakes were made and delivered without pistachios, even though they were always listed in the order. Such a shame... how difficult can it be?!

Super good, juicy burgers. The food came quickly. They can't really do anything about the environment, but the restrooms are in terrible condition. If you want to wash your hands before eating, you practically lose your appetite. It's a shame, because the burgers are absolutely fantastic.
