FIVE Diner II Ostendstrasse 83 in Nürnberg

This evening, I went out to dinner with my friend and, when I visited the first aid facility, I saw the waitress spit into the glass of the couple at the next table because the customer had upset them with something. So, for both sides of the customer, always consider whether it's worth upsetting the chef or staff before they bring you your food, and make good choices about where you eat. At the snack bar, look for decent staff with handicap training.

We've been to the Five Diner on Ostendstrasse several times in groups of varying sizes (sometimes office, sometimes "just" family) or ordered pizza, and so far we've always been satisfied. The food is consistently delicious, and the service has always been super friendly. Even the dogs were always welcome and were given water immediately. Unfortunately, we recently made a complete mess with a pickup order, and the response wasn't ideal either. We ordered for pickup on Ostendstrasse, but the order confirmation suddenly stated "Pickup location: Obstmarkt." Oh well, I thought, maybe my mistake and missed something?! So we drove downtown to the Obstmarkt, paid the parking fee, and then at the store: "We don't have an order...it's on Ostendstrasse." After showing the order confirmation, we were offered to wait 15 minutes while they sent the order from Ostendstrasse to the Obstmarkt. We declined, as Ostendstrasse was more or less on our way home anyway, and we didn't feel like eating burgers and loaded fries, which would have been on the way for 45 to 60 minutes by the time we got home. So we drove to Ostendstrasse ourselves and were promised over the phone that our order would be freshly prepared, as it would have been sitting there for 30 minutes by the time we picked it up. When we got home, we discovered that this unfortunately hadn't happened. The fries were inedible. Cold fat and thickened starch – a huge pile of cold fries. One burger was completely cold, the other was still lukewarm. When I complained over the phone, they said they would get back to us to make amends – that was 5 days ago, and so far, nothing... It's a real shame, as we've always enjoyed coming here or ordering pizza.

Friendly staff, clean atmosphere, and the cheeseburger with bacon tastes indescribable. You should definitely try it. Highly recommended.

Super delicious burgers and amazing creations. It's a shame I don't live nearby, otherwise I'd be a regular. I highly recommend it to anyone in Nuremberg.

I had a medium-rare beef burger with goat cheese. The burgers were delicious. Unfortunately, it's much too noisy inside, and there's very little parking.

Super delicious, gluten-free, and special requests are also possible! Everything is great, available for pick-up or eat-in.

You have to bring your time, or if you're just stopping by on your lunch break, you'll need to pre-order. The wait is definitely worth it. My favorite is the pulled pork burger with fries. The portions are generous; I was more than full. The homemade lemonade is truly refreshing, especially on hot days. All food and drinks are also available to go. The staff are friendly and happy to accommodate special requests.

Delicious food and great cocktails! Update: We've been regular customers (in-restaurant, pickup, and delivery) for almost two years now and have never been disappointed. Even when we come with friends, everyone has been very satisfied so far. Simply order whatever you feel like: everything tastes as it should.

I wouldn't eat here again. We spent half the night hanging out on and over the toilet after our stay. We felt fine before and the next morning. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it.

We ordered fries loaded with bacon and jalapeños. The bacon ones were adequate but the jalapeños one were really mid. Too spicy and not enough flavor (cheddar cheese was not liquid). Wouldn’t order again.

Ordered burger with fries. Burger comes...unfortunately without fries. They come after 15 minutes… “Sorry, it’s in the kitchen”… well, strange explanation. I would have expected that the fries wouldn't be charged... but that wasn't the case. Food delicious. Unfortunately no draft beer. When the store is full, things don't seem to work.

We ate pizza and burgers here. The food was consistently delicious. The atmosphere is very modern and there are a handful of parking spaces behind the house. Not cheap in terms of price but okay overall. We'll be back.

Very varied salads, tasty pizzas. The only thing I find unpleasant is the toilet solution. One for women and one for men, please. The dirty floor tiles under the urinals are very unpleasant. The cocktails are also great during happy hour 👍

In the beginning, I ordered here twice every day, but since mid-24 the prices have risen and the products have shrunk. Anyone who buys now gets significantly less than a year ago.

We were just there for a drink and dessert, both of which were delicious! We can particularly recommend the London Mule and the chocolate cake. The service was great! The food here was very good. The dishes without side dishes are quite expensive. I had a pulled pork wrap, as I said, very tasty, but personally too expensive with the side dishes. The Homemade Lemonade was also half filled with ice. For €6.50, well. Location is nicely decorated, staff friendly.

We visited the FIVE Diner for the first time while we were passing through and absolutely loved it! I tried the vegetarian burger and my wife tried the vegan one - both were just great! The fries were nice and crispy and the fresh salad complemented the whole thing perfectly. We were particularly impressed by the friendly service, which was very attentive. Even if we can't come back because we were just passing through, we will definitely recommend the restaurant!

I ordered two crispy chicken burgers and fries, the bun was burnt here and there burger absolutely superb dry and tasteless, there was no sauce at all and also no cheese was present in it, the chicken meat was dry to the core, it was nothing just huge piece of chicken and bun so defined burger, the fries pure disaster hard and dry just bought from supermarket and you get charged 5 euros which is absurd, totally not worthy at all, just the meat portion is big, not worth the money, pure waste of money and time

Basically just a burger shop. Nothing exciting, but not cheap either. However, food for 6 people came ice cold (!), fries lukewarm with the cheese sauce and then soggy and simply unacceptable. This was my 2nd and last visit.

Great dining experience with potential! I was recently at FIVE Diner and was thrilled by the delicious burgers and the SPECIAL FRIES - the version with avocado, tomatoes and sour cream is particularly delicious and highly recommended! The quality of the food definitely impressed me. The American diner style is well implemented, but the overall atmosphere could be a little warmer to make the stay even more comfortable. Still a solid experience. I'd love to come back.

Five Diner II is the perfect place to meet up with friends. There are lots of delicious drinks & cocktails and a happy hour. I've been there several times now because there's also a very large selection of burgers and it's finally burgers that fill you up. The highlight for me is always the many delicious sauces that are served at the table. You can sit and linger for a long time both inside and outside.

Good varied food, delicious pizza and burgers at their best! Nice service from all employees who always do their best...even with annoying, not always friendly guests!

I have been a guest at five dinners several times and have always been satisfied. The last time, however, I was literally speechless. Speechless about how the hamburger was served to me. Completely loveless on the bare plate, unlike before without any garnish. The ingredients for the burger we ordered were also not identical to the menu. I was able to communicate very little with the waitress due to her new seniority and lack of language skills. It's completely incomprehensible to me how the quality of a restaurant can drop so much within a few weeks.

Wrong concept, unfortunately no skilled workers involved. Guests wait far too long for food and drinks. Food cold to lukewarm. Tables are not wiped either. Priced below ground. Clearly not a recommendation

Been here several times. Unfortunately, the food was only lukewarm (still delicious) and we had to wait forever for everything. In order to pay, we had to ask more often. It was definitely better here.

Picked up food there today, three burgers, waffle potatoes and a salad, salad was forgotten to pack, called and it was kindly delivered to us. (Service staff is friendly and attentive) Burgers were lukewarm even though we only had a short walk home, the bacon on the bacon cheeseburger was totally soggy, and the patties didn't taste like anything. When the salad arrived at our door, the lettuce leaves were soggy and brown in most places and definitely not fresh, but well, what can you do? You saw there wasn't much going on.

I can also recommend this diner for people who are hard of hearing and deaf, as the communication works well.

Went there today and only got tickets to order. Then waited 20 minutes and finally got up and left because I have no understanding of such things. There were 3 guests in the store and the waitresses were sitting inside and didn't come to us to place their orders.

You're standing at the traffic light, you drive off a second later when the traffic light turns green and your delivery service immediately honks at you. Another time, your delivery service doesn't stay in the lane, drives you, almost into your car, you point this out to them and they're then turned on by this stupid guy...is it still okay? 2 reasons not to order something from you or go out to eat.

Very tasty burgers and very nice service!

First of all, the positive. The food is okay. But no better than the average burger joint... Now for the negative: The service is terrible. I've eaten there 4 times now and it wasn't good once. Orders were mixed up, food came cold or at different times. The waitress didn't even ask if we needed anything else or simply cleared the plates. It has to be said that there was never much going on... Good service is becoming increasingly rare and the Five Diner is a good example of how it doesn't work. It would make sense to train the staff at least a little before letting them loose on customers. I'm really not a fan of writing bad reviews, but after it's happened several times, I can't help it. I just hope that these and other reviews make you think and something changes. It could be so simple...

You don't have to have it... We ordered via Lieferando. The doneness of the patty was not checked and it simply came out way too medium. Fries and sweet potato fries were soggy and that with a delivery time of less than 10 minutes. Only the coleslaw was really tasty! Unfortunately I can't say anything about the service and ambience...

We have now eaten in the restaurant twice. The burgers are better now and the buns are also well toasted. It gives the impression that something has been done here to improve the quality of the burgers. Thank you, we will definitely come back.

I've been to the Five Diner several times for lunch and dinner since it opened on Ostendstrasse. Great ambience, relaxed atmosphere. Large selection, decent portions, tasty. Staff super friendly, waiting times okay. It's really great that there is now such a cool burger shop around the corner. Please keep it up...
