Very tasty food in a great ambience and a wonderful view over Munich. Only the service is a complete crash. Very slow, inattentive and not really polite. Unfortunately that made it uneven.

The Fitzroy thrives on the view. The food is good, but not as outstanding as some have portrayed. The staff are attentive and friendly, but far from highly professional. By the time the wine arrived, the main course had already been served, even though it had been ordered. After the order had already been placed, another waiter came and wanted to take the order. The same thing happened when paying. Shortly after midnight, the bar was being noisily cleared up, and shortly afterwards, they were clearly asked to pay, even though the bar was still busy.....that could be better....

A fantastic bar with a great atmosphere and a wonderful view over Munich! The stylish interior immediately creates a feel-good atmosphere. We sat right at the bar and had the pleasure of being served by bartender Alex. He's not only highly skilled, but also incredibly personable and attentive to guests' requests – that really made our evening special. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended, we'd love to come back!

The Fitzroy in Munich offers a noble and modern ambience with a cozy atmosphere. The dimmed lighting is particularly pleasant in the evening, creating a private and stylish atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, but we had to wait a relatively long time for our drinks and cocktails, which somewhat marred the otherwise smooth service. The taste of the dishes was excellent and the presentation of the dishes was at a very high level, both visually and tastefully enjoyable. The portion sizes were appropriate for the courses served. I can't say much about the price-performance ratio since I was invited, but I've heard that the prices are rather high. Overall, I can definitely recommend the Fitzroy, ideal for anyone looking for an upscale dining experience in Munich.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing in the end...The octopus was tasty, but untypical and unpleasant after-effects appeared around 60 minutes after eating it. Since we combined the other courses differently, it could only have been the octopus. What's particularly annoying is that the restaurant doesn't even respond to our feedback! A great ambience alone is not enough - the quality and freshness of the food must also be right. Unfortunately not recommended for culinary reasons!

We were in Fitzroy on Shrove Monday with our dear friends and our little daughter (3.5 years). We were initially very impressed by the location and view, like most rooftop restaurants in other cities we have been to. Only one thing was very special this time: we were hosted by a very special person named Reda, who has the absolute magic to give the evening even more magic with his friendly, warm, open manner and professionalism. The entire team created an incredible feel-good atmosphere, was very attentive and discreet at the same time, and above all, very child-friendly. The food was very tasty and served excellently. We'll definitely be back - but only if Reda is there too. ;) PS: Dear Reda! Please keep it up and keep your warm and friendly nature. You deserve more than just 5 stars! Incredible view, brilliantly decorated with style, service great, food very good, but the main course was more of the size of a starter. It's very difficult to find the restaurant if you don't know that it belongs to the Adina Hotel.

A little challengeing to find. You have to go into Adina Aparment Hotels and take the elevator to the 14th floor. Very nice atmhosphere and view over the city. The food was a fusion kitchen and taste was great. We had starters, main course and a bottle of wine, we ended at approx 70-80 euro pr person. The dimmed lighting was great, furniture and interior nicely done. Very exclusive feeling. At the day of our visit (a thursday) there was a live duo with piano, guitar and singing. They did it great and volume levels in the restaurant allowed for eaisly talking - likewise in the bar area. Can recommend that you go for a cocktail either before or after dinner also. Staff was welcoming and helpful fluent in english and german.

The location is great. We were assigned a window seat with an excellent view. The menu is rather limited and there isn't much choice like in other restaurants. The dishes are à la carte and really, really tasty. The service was also very good. I don't know if that was a coincidence or if that's common there. But we were served in English, which was ok in our case since we are fluent in English. In terms of price, this restaurant is in the upper segment. For this reason I would only choose this restaurant on special occasions.

We were in the restaurant yesterday for my wife's birthday. The restaurant ambience is great, as is the food, which is a feast for the eyes and a delight. What you can't say about the staff, in such a high-priced restaurant I also expect the appropriate staff. I can't have to wait half an hour for a beer or a glass of wine. The excuse was, I had to get the wine from the cellar.🙈 Unfortunately, savings were made and it feels like canteen staff who are there to help out. Last but not least, the bill was wrong, but we only saw that when we got home. Too bad. Nevertheless, it was a nice evening.

We were there for the first time. A very nice restaurant with a very nice view. The waitress named Reda was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!

A noisy chef/staff member, an overcrowded table because used plates weren't cleared, and a short rib that was over-salted for my taste with possible silver skin present. Unfortunately, the service staff couldn't answer whether it was actually silver skin - my question as to what it was - since it wasn't edible, remained unanswered, and there was also no apology. In addition, no service staff responded to a greeting. I can't imagine why a restaurant would be represented on Christmas Eve in this way. Ambience was pleasant.

Reviewed: the bar. A super nice, elegant bar where you feel comfortable as an individual, to get to know each other or in smaller groups. I particularly like the selection of non-alcoholic drinks including cocktails, the in-house beer and the loving decoration of all the drinks. The cozy seating areas by the floor-to-ceiling windows are very popular and offer a sophisticated view of the S-Bahn, Ferris wheel and Allianz Arena. The snacks are small and delicious.

Top location! The service from “Franzi” is EXCELLENT!! All of the dishes that came to the table were excellent. Franzi answered the kids' questions about the food and everyone received excellent advice and support. Thanks for the particularly nice lunch with our friends from Macpom!

The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed, especially in the evening. The 3 of us found a place on Sunday evening without making a reservation. We ordered the edamame, which tasted very good and was a reasonable portion size. Some drinks, such as coffee or tea, still have fairly normal prices. If you want something unusual like cocktails, you'll have to dig a little deeper into your pockets depending on the atmosphere. The service was very nice and the view was very nice. Very relaxed and cozy.

Lunch menu is good value for money. The starter (sushi) is top. Unfortunately espresso wasn't tasty. A glass dirty from the start and not rinsed clean.

The only good think of this restaurant is the view. If you look for that and you are ready to pay an expensive bill only for that, you found it…lucky you. On the other hand, if you look for a gourmet restaurant, do not go there, you will come out very unsatisfied. There are real gourmet restaurants in Munich, this is not one of them. There are people who like expensive bill, be treated like a number, show up in such places…and the view over the buildings of Munich.

We were invited there for an exquisite brunch and were immediately greeted with an aperitif. The coats were brought into the cloakroom and we were taken to the table. The ambience and the view are phenomenal. We also really liked the service and the whole brunch and the selection was excellent.

Nice atmosphere but very expensive

We liked the view and the subsequent visit to the bar was also pleasant. The service in the restaurant was not good, our waiter had no idea about good service. Wine glasses were handled by hand rather than by the stem so that one could see his fingerprints. On many occasions he did not have a good handle on his craft. The Sauvignon Blanc is a disaster, if you google the wine and see the bottle costs €8.50 you'll know why. This should not be the case in an upscale restaurant, but better wines should be selected. The Baramundi fish tasted mushy. There was a lot of oily fish meat. The octopus was ok, average. Unfortunately, we would like to conclude by saying that we will not visit this restaurant again because there was already another less good experience.

Super cool bar and super awesome view - actually! Because: super bad service - unfriendly, not welcoming, every time I'm there there is some difficulty. Even if you eat and drink for 150€, the reception refuses to take your parking ticket - you are even shouted at stupidly (not even once). If you can do everything, then you can't charge horrendous luxury prices. I thought about writing this review for a long time, but unfortunately my team and I were dissatisfied more than once and now something really has to change for you, otherwise there won't be any more.

This place is great! My boyfriend and I are super happy we chose this place for a date night. The ambiance was phenomenal, i asked for a table at the window when i booked it and we did get a great table with a nice view. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was friendly. For one starter, a steak with sides, a vegetarian main, two cocktails and two desserts it came to around 180€ which was appropriate for the quality. I would say this qualifies as fine dining and we really recommend it!

The food here was simply to die for! I was so tempted to order doubles of everything, simply because I didn’t want it to end! The miso cod was the most delightful fish I’ve ever eaten in my life, and the sashimi was simply perfect. I couldn’t recommend this place more, even if it’s just for a great cocktail with a view :)

Due to its exceptional location on the 14th floor of the Adina Hotel building, the restaurant offers excellent views over the Werksviertel / into the city. This is particularly noticeable in the darkness of the evening/night. An ideal place for a nice date night! I would put the restaurant in the upper price segment. In my opinion the prices quoted are absolutely justified. All dishes were of very good to excellent quality across the board. I particularly like that the cuisine has its own style, both in the way it is prepared and in the taste profile. Particularly noteworthy was the excellent service from our very friendly waiter Reda. He was an extremely competent and attentive host. Orders were received and processed quickly. His friendly manner made our evening really special. We'd love to come back!

Wonderful place for holidays! We celebrated the pre- and post-Christmas season in this restaurant with my family and friends and were thrilled. We had a very nice evening at Fritzroy, the cocktails were very good and the food didn't lack anything apart from a little salt. We had a great seat by the window and were very happy with Reda's service, as his food recommendation and greeting from the kitchen went together wonderfully. Always my pleasure.

We drunk cocktails, and they were fine. The atmosphere was great. The workers are nice. The only thing is that it is a bit expensive. But it is worth it for what they offer.

Excellent food, my compliments to the chef, everything was exceptional. However, they put us on the worst table of the entire restaurant (right on top of the kitchen) despite the fact that the place was empty and we have reservations. The waitress was pasing in and out with food on top of our heads, talking on top of us, very disrespectful, make you feel very unwelcome, they deliver the food on an extremely agresive and quite disrespectful way, not a family friendly place, that is a shame as again the setting is very nice and the food is exceptional, this place is a great example on how to ruin a good place, need to ask the manager to pick more professional waitresses. Definitely not coming back, the chef should found a professionaly run place that actually knows customer service.

We spent our wedding weekend at this hotel and it was just perfect. Especially thanks to the exceptional service in the restaurant. A very special thank you goes to the waiter named Reda who looked after us. We have rarely experienced such attentive, professional and at the same time warm service. He not only looked after us excellently, but also showed a completely natural and great charisma that made our stay truly unforgettable. We really hope that we will meet this great waiter again on our next visit to Munich. He is a real talent. Thanks again. He made our stay very special!

Very tasty food, of course it has its price. I was actually still a bit hungry at the end because the main course was tasty, but not really plentiful for the price. Very nice waitresses.

We were there to have dinner. The view from the bar/restaurant is great. Since we got there a little early and the restaurant didn't open until half an hour later, we were sent to the bar. After 15 minutes we hadn't seen a menu or a single waitress. So without further ado, I got a card from the table that hadn't been cleared and went to the bartender, who was standing bored behind the bar, to get drinks. Apparently service wasn't high on the agenda. Despite the obvious boredom behind the bar, there were no drinks. We don't know whether the food would have been tasty. We left after half an hour without drinks.

The atmosphere is really nice and special - 5 stars for that. The service was friendly and unobtrusive - 5 stars for that too. The menu is very manageable and, to put it positively, very extravagant - from the description of the dishes I couldn't really figure out what it was supposed to be. The truffle and mushroom risotto seemed to me to be the only one that made sense. For just under 30 euros, the portion was very manageable and hardly edible. The risotto tasted mainly of vinegar, as it felt like it only contained pickled mushrooms. Even if there had been truffles in the Rissoto, as described, you wouldn't have tasted them. Almost no selection of open wines and they are far too expensive and nothing special. Conclusion for me - you don't need to go there for the food, only if the ambience is more important to you than anything else.

Drinks menu is very varied and includes many drinks, cocktails, classics, etc. The bar has a very relaxed atmosphere, a great view and prices are at Munich level 😂🤷🏽‍♂️. The only disadvantage or point of criticism are the waiters. Hardly anyone speaks German (not meant in a bad way, but a little annoying at times) and the waiters serve terribly. There is no question or great care taken of you. The rest is great :)

We went curling in the late afternoon, great view and service. The bar area is also very attractive and offers a large selection of delicious cocktails. Since we were a larger group; It wasn't easy to find something on a Saturday evening. They tried very hard to make everything possible and were completely satisfied. Keep it up and we'll be happy to come back.

This was our first time and last eating at Fitzroy Munich. I had the octopus, it was very good but not hot. We had several meals sent back due to the cold temperature of the meals! The waiter was rude about the food being ice cold. The party was booked well in advance, so the resturant knew there was larger party attending and yet the wait staff was rude and awful! It was some of the worst service, I have ever experienced in Munich. The bar area was packed with a bit younger clientele which is fine but surprising since the prices are not exactly cheap. It is a beautiful bar but I will not be back due to the awful service. Save your money.

A serious disappointment. I have worked in hospitality myself and my bosses would never tolerate me arguing with the customers the way one particular staff member at The Fitzroy did. 'Fine dining' prices are welcome if I receive fine dining service, but I received anything but fine service I'm afraid. I do not want to dine here again and I would urge others not to either.

We went to The Fitzroy on Saturday night to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. He's Australian and thought that this location would give him a taste of home. I'm also Australian and had been meaning to check The Fitzroy out for a while, so I was looking forward to going. Unfortunately, there is nothing Australian about the place. Some Australian wine and a Pavlova on the menu...that I'll get to later. My wife and I arrived first. We were shown to our seats, someone took our coats, and the waiter brought us water - which was a good start. Unfortunately, this was as good as it got, and everything went downhill from there. Taking drinks orders was chaotic and took a long time. One couple ordered a €40 bottle of wine, but had a €140 bottle brought to them. Another of the guests tried in vain to flag down a waiter, who kept walking straight past our table and ignoring his attempts to order a Weinschorle. When he finally managed to flag him down by loudly saying "excuse me", as he attempted to walk past and ignore him again, the waiter started an argument with him, that basically went on for the rest of the evening. Others had to ask for the same things 2 or 3 times, because orders were forgotten. It took ages to get the food, and when it did arrive, mine wasn't very warm. It was OK, though and I have to say, the short rib was actually very nice. But it was not nearly enough food. Others on the table received food that was completely cold. They sent it back, which was met by excuses and eye-rolling from the waiter, who claimed the plates were hot. Nobody is eating the plates. One of the other guests had a conversation with him about his attitude, and as a result, he promised her 2 bottles of free wine. The waiter kept reaching over people's shoulders to collect glasses and rearrange things on the table, while people were eating, often bumping them in the process and making them uncomfortable. Once the main course was done, the waiter, who could clearly see that everyone was annoyed with him, told us that we could all have free dessert. I ordered a Pavlova. As an Australian, I miss them, but when it came out, it was a huge disappointment...A few shards of hard meringue on whipped cream and ice cream, with some berries and nuts on the side is NOT a Pavlova. There is no excuse for this. Anyone can Google "How do I make a Pavlova?", in order to find a recipe to actually make one. Here, it seems like nobody even Googled "What is a Pavlova?", because even then they would have figured out that it's not what they're serving. When we wanted to pay - a good 3.5 hours after arriving (This is how slow it was), we asked if we could pay seperately. Apparently this is only possible by queueing at the cash register - absolutely not what should happen at fine dining. The waiter added up in his head what needed to be paid by everyone, and then didn't write the amount he collected down anywhere, didn't cross anything off the receipt, or book it off the system. There were apparently unpaid items, that the host had to pay for. Perhaps they were legitimate, but nobody could understand how the waiter could identify this with his accounting "system". My night ended with me having to look for my coat for 10 minutes, and going through every coat in the cloakroom twice, because while there was a system for collecting them from the guests, there is apparently no system for returning them. I eventually found it on the floor in the corner, where it had fallen off the hanger....This just seemed a fitting end to the night. Looking at other reviews, 2 common themes appear to be poor service and portion sizes. Neither have been fixed, despite assurances from the owner. I mostly feel sorry for my friend, whose 50th birthday dinner was ruined. I will never, ever come back, and as an Australian, I'm embarrassed by this place.

Very very nice restaurant in Munich, at the 14th floor of building in a new development area. Nice views (recommended to go in a sunny day). Very attentive service, speaking English, kudos to Reda, that helped making our experience even more pleasant. Tables are nicely spaced apart, to give more privacy (rare to find in almost all other restaurants in Munich). Great menu, not too many choices but all really interesting and, indeed, tasty! Price worth the experience and the quality. We will go there again! Highly recommended

Expensive but very good food. Of course, you don't eat here every week and come for the atmosphere. Can recommend the octopus and the matcha croissant ice cream. I would avoid the dumplings or gyoza, they were boring/tasteless and absolutely not worth the 17 euros. The staff was attentive and pleasantly friendly. Would come again.

Pretty impressive prices for a relatively unimpressive experience! First of all, obviously Munich and its price level, but for starters ~20 euros and main courses ~40 euros (plus side dish) you would expect a little more than average. Dumblings and salmon sashimi had to make do with a common sauce, not an unusual creation but a small dip from the soy bottle in the bowl provided. The side dish for the sashimi was a mix of raw vegetables with no or minimal dressing or dressing, luckily there was still some soy sauce left. The dumblings were hard and boring inside. The main course was an entrecote, admittedly good, but after salt came out of the black pepper shaker and the white salt shaker in both cases, it was oversalted. Service was very nice and well represented, but it was still strange that there were five different people serving your table in just one evening and you were generally only noticed by chance. No real concept to be seen. A greeting from the kitchen without explanation and all in all an experience that I would like to do without in the future. The restaurant is still well attended and the view is impressive!

A cosy and warm place to enjoy excellent food (shout out to the Macadamia-Oktopus a delight from start to finish). Cocktails are the icing on the cake to accompany you through your meal. Most scenic view of the city, especially after night fall. I will definitely come back with more company. Heartful thanks to Alessia of the singing voice who catered to us and was absolutely lovely and most patient with poor German speakers.

One floor above the bar in the Fitzroy is the rooftop bar. Here you can enjoy the breathtaking view of Munich's Werksviertel and the sunset while having drinks. You get your drinks at the bar and look for one of the nice seats. The Rofftopbar is relatively small. So you have to be there early to get a spot. We were lucky enough to be able to enjoy our cocktails in nice weather with fantastic views and even a DJ. We'd love to come back

Very good food, good value for money. Nice ambience, spectacular views. @Fritzroy: Google says that you can only pay in cash and you have to make a reservation. You can pay by card. Reservation is certainly useful, but not mandatory.

A really very modern and stylish bar in the Adina Hotel - here you have an incredibly beautiful view over Munich. The cocktails and long drinks are prepared very professionally, even that is a small highlight. Not to forget there is a small rooftop bar one floor up, which is also absolutely great.

Today I wanted to reserve a table at Fitzroy in Munich. After 9!!! After waiting in line for minutes, I was finally greeted in a friendly manner in English. I initially found this marketing stunt quite funny in an Ausie hotel/restaurant. However, when I answered in German, I was advised to speak English better. After I said (in English of course... I'm being polite at first) that I didn't want this and that I preferred the German language to a service provider in Germany, I was told that I should then write an email. Unfortunately, there was no offer to be put in touch with an employee who might be able to speak German. PEOPLE... haven't you heard the bang yet... what I learned on the phone from you was RACISM in its purest form!!! We don't tolerate that here... and we don't want imported racism either, as we currently have enough to do with our own! Your company is a guest in this country and wants to do business... among other things. with Germans. As a guest in a cultivated country, you should know how to behave. As a service provider, to show such an ignorant and contemptuous attitude towards an entire nation and its language is absolutely disgusting. Wherever I go on this planet, I will never set foot in one of your companies!

Pretty and very pleasant bar above the rooftops of Munich. The food is apparently very good. The drinks are also absolutely recommended! Nice service tops everything off!
