Service was quick and the ambience with the aquarium was nice, but unfortunately the taste of the food was too bland. Fish and spinach leaves could have been seasoned much better.

Our insider tip for eating fish in Bremen!!! Great selection, very nice and super fast service. Very, very tasty food. But everything was really fresh and tasted good. We had a Frisian fish soup as a starter and 1x Frisian tapas. The main course then: fried fish (cod) and gurnard fish platter. It was great! Prices absolutely reasonable. We'll definitely come by again. :-)

Nous avons découvert tout d'abord les odeurs... Puis une belle façade historique et enfin un personnel sympathique et attentif à nos attentes en ce chef Rafic pour quelques explications. Mon épouse a pris une assiette de crevette asiatiques et moi un bol que dis je une soupière de soupe de poissons, gouteuse avec son céleri, carrottes poissons, crevette et ce pain assoiffé dans ce bouillon, un pur délice. You can't rely on the opening times. Today at 7:15 p.m. I was turned away very rudely! I actually wanted to have dinner here for the rest of the week.....now my money is going somewhere else😝

We wanted to eat in the restaurant first. A beer just under 6 euros. Many thanks! Finally dined in the snack bar. The long-running favorite. It's gotten pretty expensive. But it always tastes good. Service in the snack bar was good, but musty in the restaurant.

Food was ok. Unfortunately, the breading on the fish wasn't crispy and there were no spices. Some of the doors in the women's toilets could not be closed properly and the toilets themselves were very old. 😐☹️

As a lunchtime snack we got a fried fish roll and it was very tasty. The breading is very thin and you can taste the fried fish intensely. A clear recommendation 👍🏽 This fish restaurant invites you to go as well as to sit and enjoy. The prices are very good. Baked fish rolls €5, a plate with 2-3 fish around €12.

Great food, I would definitely come back for this. Atmosphere unfortunately like in the canteen, there is really room for improvement.

Meine Bewertung bezieht sich auf den Imbiss den ich regelmäßig bei jedem Aufenthalt in Bremen besuche. Top Backfisch, Top Kartoffelsalat, Immer sehr sehr nette Leute... Dieser Imbiss und den Dauerbrenner (Menü) als Start in den Feierabend oder Bremen Urlaub - besser geht es nicht :-)

Good food and decent portions without a lot of frills. What was really annoying on the seats in the snack area was the smell of garbage. You can lose your appetite. And what always stands out - not just here: Disposable gloves are not only used to touch the food, they are also used to collect money. An absolute no go.

Went there with the “city for two” app and it worked very well. Both fish dishes were excellent, great potato salad and fried potatoes. Very nice service.

Netter Fischimbiss mit Bedienung. Wer hier Edelfische und gehobene Küche erwartet ist hier falsch. Einfache aber gute Fischgerichte und bescheidene Beilagenauswahl...das ist alles. Die Gerichte sind den Preis wert..aber nicht Billig.

We wanted to order ToGo and were there at 3:25 p.m. Then we read that the kitchen closes at 3:30 p.m. (Sundays). The door was still open when we arrived, so we went in. We were immediately told “Closed!” thrown out without further comment. Apparently the boss wanted to close earlier. Therefore our stay in Bremen ended without fish sandwiches, which is very disappointing. I would like more transparency and a more polite tone. We were very disappointed and will never visit this store again.

Nice fish restaurant. There is a good selection of different fish dishes at fair prices. The food comes fresh and quickly and the service is friendly and quick. Unfortunately, card payments were not possible during our visit. A notice there in advance would have been nice. But the food is definitely top. Both the herring and the pan fish with mustard sauce.

I had the 3 types of fried fish plate. The pomade was borderline dark and every type of fish tasted like old frying fat!!!

Unfortunately disappointing. We had a reservation and were not given a very friendly welcome. The weather was good and we sat outside. A mistake. Our table was right in front of the window to the kitchen and we saw how many things came out of the refrigerator or were frozen and warmed up in the microwave. We had the plaice twice and it was very tasteless and watery. The service was very reserved and rude. We had to pay in cash because the EC device at the next table still worked.

A great fish restaurant that leaves nothing to be desired. My parents were already customers there and when we're in Bremen we go to the gurnard. The children have been going there for years now.

Never make the mistake of sitting in the free seats in the associated restaurant with food from the snack bar! You will be evicted even if you also order something to drink through the restaurant. Since I often went there with friends in the past, I would rather be at Bodes in the future.

We decided at short notice to eat at Gurnrahn. The fish was really tasty, the potato salad was just as it should be. The service is a bit cold, typically North German, but we like that kind of thing, it's authentic. But the staff was also very nice. We would be happy to come back when we are in the area.

We went for lunch. We shared a portion of fish between 2 people. The portions are quite large. We chose 3 mixed filleted fish. The price is 21 euros. There was plenty of potato salad on the side.

It's a shame that in such a traditional restaurant you are turned away in a relatively unfriendly manner at 7:20 p.m. with the message that the kitchen would close half an hour before closing time (8:00 p.m.). The joy of showing my non-Bremen relatives this restaurant gave way to perplexity. Everyone can have a bad day, but the fact that this statement came from two people makes you sad. People always talk so beautifully about Germany being a service desert. Here it has been shown once again that the term is not entirely untrue. Unfortunately for me it was the last time in the gurnard, but I sincerely hope that people here are future-oriented and able to learn.

Good place to eat fish, a bit small but great, great

We came here because of the many good reviews and can only confirm them. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly and a particular highlight I have to mention is the beautiful and well-kept seawater aquarium, which shares the dining room on the ground floor. A real eye-catcher.

As always, it was very tasty and filling. The trio of fried fish with potato salad with remoulade, as well as the food of my companion, was very good. The service at the table was very friendly and accommodating. I would like to come over for dinner again. As always, there is nothing negative, on the contrary.

Have just eaten a portion of Helgoland fish platter and a portion of mixed fish platter. The fish was brilliant, the fried potatoes were amazing, the potato salad was gigantic and the homemade tartar sauce was amazing. Mr. Müller (kitchen) and Squire (service) are absolutely great and friendly. Absolute recommendation!!!

I went there for the first time with my daughter and we really enjoyed it. Delicious food, super nice staff and a nice maritime atmosphere. There is even a great aquarium in the guest room with beautiful fish. Any time.

We had Bremen fish rolls to go. They are very cheap and are freshly made. It may also be that these are the best in the city, but unfortunately I didn't like the taste of them at all and I can't recommend them.

We got some Backfisch sandwiches to take away on the same corner as the restaurant. Tasty fish was battered and fried on the spot, their Remoulade was also very tasty. Next time I will try Fish and Chips, also fresh and freshly prepared fish. Simple and clean environment. Very friendly staff even though there were a lot of customers.

Unfortunately, the Knurrhahn fish restaurant couldn't convince us. The panfish tasted okay, but nothing special. What bothered us the most, however, was that there was an extremely strong smell of grease in the entire dining room and after leaving the restaurant, our clothes smelled as if we had been standing right next to the deep fryer. The waitresses were friendly and fulfilled our special requests (sauce separately and hollandaise sauce instead of mustard sauce).

We were there for dinner on a Friday evening. There were very few guests there. The food was very good and the service was friendly. The facility is bright and friendly. The toilets are on the upper floor. One of the oldest fish locomotives that are not allowed to sink.

We visited here with 4 people, each of whom chose a different dish. The food including the starter soup was very good, left nothing to be desired, sufficient and very tasteful. I would particularly like to highlight the kale version. The service was quick and nice. All clean. The tables are always cleaned after you leave Top. All in all, we were very satisfied and will definitely come back again. We can only recommend a visit to the restaurant.

The store could really be made nicer. The ambience leaves a lot to be desired. The food was okay, but not great. You could hardly find the garlic butter on the plate. Sad for such an old well-known restaurant. Snack atmosphere! Never again. It's a shame, we were very disappointed.

Every year again at the Gurnard, but this time the prices have increased significantly, the dining room is almost empty, the famous cucumber salad is cold (fresh from the refrigerator), my fried fish is completely cooked through and partly burnt, the fried fish without any seasoning in a ready-made breading, a bottle of beer 0 .5l €5.80, a 0.2l showerhead €3.50 - a shame, we won't be visiting this restaurant again.

Wir hatten Lust auf Fisch. Zu einem Mittagessen fanden wir uns im Knurrhahn ein. Mein Mann nahm einen gemischten Fischteller und ich den Pannfisch. Der Fisch meines Mann war ok. Mir wurde eine Pfanne serviert mit Bratkartoffeln, die den Namen nicht verdienten. Auf der anderen Seite der Pfanne gestapelter Fisch, der mit einer sehr unterdurchschnittlichen Senfsauce komplett zentimeterdick überkippt wurde. Ich habe selten so lieblos, schlecht und hochpreisig gegessen. Die rustikale Bedienung war eher uninteressiert. Garantiert nie wieder!

I had pollack fillet on kale, which was delicious dressed with lemon. The pollock was draped on the kale in three small fillet portions. The pollock is not too dry. Boiled potatoes in butter sauce round off the dish. A complete package for just under €20. I just didn't like the atmosphere at all. Unfortunately, the restaurant seems less inviting. It would be nice to invest here, because the eye is there. In addition, the exhaust system could work more intensively, because you have a distinctive smell on your clothes after visiting the restaurant. 😊 But the main thing, the food, very tasty.

My three friends were happy with their fried fish. So far so good. However, in my opinion, the (large) fish soup is of a lower standard: 2 shrimps in it, OK. But otherwise just pollock and little spice. It's a shame, as a hobby chef I can do it better in my private life. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she just told me that others liked it. Well, maybe I'm wrong?!

Wie immer sehr lecker, gute Portionen sowie sehr freundlicher Service. Das einzige worüber ich dann doch sehr erschrocken war, ist die Preissteigerung in den letzten drei Jahre. Die kleine Portion Backfisch (Seelachs) ist mittlerweile bei 16.90€😮 angekommen.

Ein besserer Schnellimbiss, die Scholle war nicht gewürzt und die Haut nicht kross gebraten, für den Preis bin ich besseres gewohnt, nicht zu empfehlen

Ich hatte den Helgoländer Teller und meine Frau ein Backfisch. Essen war hervorragend und alles Frisch.

Freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Gute Karte mit gut beschriebenen Gerichten. Sehr schmackhafte Fischsuppe mit großen Fischstücken und Scrimps. Auch die Matjesfilet mit Kartoffeln sehr zu empfehlen. Sehr schönes Aquarium. Wenn wir mal wieder in Bremen sind kehren wir bestimmt wieder ein.

Da ruft man extra an um einen Tisch zu reservieren. „Bis 22.00 Uhr geöffnet“ Um 19h kommen wir an. Lokal leer. Bestellt und recht zügig die leckere Knurrhahnplatte bekommen. Zwei Minuten später kommt man und bittet uns zu zahlen. Wir hatten eben den ersten Bissen gegessen! Da ich meinen Mann einladen wollte, sehr unangenehm. Wenige Minuten später ging die Musik aus und man hörte das Gepolter des Aufräumens… Eigentlich hätte ich gerne noch einen Wein getrunken und wir hatten uns eigentlich noch auf ein Dessert gefreut… Leider ein Reinfall für den Preis…
