It was too greasy for me. I preferred a deep-fried breaded menu item, but it completely depends on your taste. They were freshly made and hot.

Disappointed! The potatoes were lukewarm, the Brussels sprouts tasted like chewing gum, and we even had to pay extra for the fish, which was lukewarm with more breading than fish. We won't be seeing them again, sorry 😭 The menu said plaice, but it was just fried breading with a fishy taste. There were two of us on Thursday.

Everything is delicious and the staff is friendly. However, more care is needed with cleaning.

The new employee licked his fingers as he sold the food; he handled it and served it. I spoke to him about it, but he didn't understand German and just smiled. Then he put on blue gloves.

The new burgers are amazing! And that creamy mango dessert... Everything there is simply delicious, and they always have something new on offer. Plus, the staff are friendly and cool, especially one guy I think is named Dustin! When he's there, you're guaranteed to leave in a good mood! Top-notch!

A prime example of the decline in manners and decency. The staff's manners urgently need improvement! A male employee goes to the restroom and informs his colleagues. One wishes him a good time. Another says he's going to masturbate. I overhear all of this while being served and having my payment processed. Simply inconsiderate, disgusting, and, of course, damaging to business. No respect for customers! I've known this branch since childhood and I will definitely not be returning!

A typical Nordsee branch. The food is okay when it's freshly prepared. Sometimes, unfortunately, it's a bit cold. The atmosphere isn't great; it feels cold and uninviting. There are small doors on the left and right, which can sometimes create a draft. The opening hours are incorrectly listed; Google Maps won't accept my edit, for whatever reason. The branch is also open Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Sundays from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Nordsee used to be a quality restaurant, but sadly, that's no longer the case. There were four of us, and we ordered three fish burgers with fries and drinks. It took forever for our food to arrive. The burgers were a disaster. One half was completely drenched in ketchup, making them inedible. The fries were edible, though. The staff were distracted and completely out of place. One of them kept scratching his head and other things, the cart with the trays for returning the dishes was overflowing, and the entire restaurant lacked hygiene. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to take photos because we were in a hurry. After our visit to Nordsee, I've lost my appetite for ketchup and burgers. I'm really disappointed because I used to love eating at Nordsee, and everything was always hygienic and appetizing. These days, you hardly find any North Sea restaurants anymore, and those that do exist are in a terrible state. Something definitely needs to change!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Top Nordsee branch on Sögestraße! Everything just works here – the food is always fresh, delicious, and prepared quickly. The pleasant atmosphere in the shop is particularly positive... But the best part is the team! The boss and his colleagues are super cool, super friendly, funny, and always have a smile on their faces. This makes you feel truly welcome as a guest – you can tell that they put their heart and soul into their work and aren't just rattling off some old job. Bottom line: Whether for your lunch break, a quick snack, or just in between meals – an absolute recommendation for anyone who enjoys good fish and great service. 👏💙 10/10! I'll definitely be back! About two years ago, I wrote: I like to buy a fish sandwich at the counter, but the salespeople (mostly men) need to be a bit friendlier and more engaging; they often act as if selling is beneath them... The food is generally fine, but the sandwiches could be better at that price... ...And now my wife and I have committed the foolishness of eating a plate of food there "on the spur of the moment"! For 30 euros! (two people), we each got a meager, very small piece of breaded pollock and a spoonful of side dish. My wife got a spoonful of factory-frozen vegetables, and I got a small portion of greasy fried potatoes without anything else, meaning no bacon or onions, as is common practice in Bremen. The fish was quite dry, and the whole thing was largely tasteless. The empty tables were covered in stains; at least, after a polite request, our table was wiped with a paper towel (!). We also had the distinct impression that hygiene wasn't taken seriously behind the counter either. The counter was streaky and greasy, as were the surfaces of the stainless steel cabinets and work surfaces. All of this is a real disgrace for Bremen and the formerly beautiful Sögestraße! And we're finally cured of that North Sea experience!

I feel pretty ripped off at this street vendor. I order two Bismark rolls. The display shows two fish fillets on each roll. For €4.99. But there was only one on our rolls. We asked and were told that it was labeled "small," meaning each one costs an additional €1. But that would be three fillets. But the two fillets shown are enough for me. We were told that for only €4.99, there would only be one fish on the roll. But they show two for that price! But then they didn't communicate with us any further. A complete rip-off, for which even one star is too many. Nordsee should be ashamed of itself; never again Nordsee, and I was a regular customer.

I ordered fish fillets with mushrooms and fried potatoes twice (paid over €30). Unfortunately, the food was a huge disappointment: • The fish was old and burnt on the bottom. The fried potatoes were cold, some were old, and many were burnt. • After returning the food, I received a replacement, but instead of freshly prepared, I was served old fillets again. • The cheese with mushrooms was dry and also not fresh. • The staff seemed listless and showed no understanding of quality or customer service. I'm very annoyed that I didn't go a few meters away to the fish restaurant in Schüsselkorb – it costs a bit more there, but it's always fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, Nordsee has declined considerably. For me: Never again!

Fischbrötchen was good and the staff were friendly. But screw you Bremen my whole backpack got stolen outside the shop (they worked as a team), and the cops couldn’t have cared less. So be careful guys.

The fried fish was more breaded than fish. The portion of fries was extremely small and unseasoned. The oil in the fryer seemed to be a bit rancid. Tasty is something else entirely. Never again.

We've been enjoying eating there for at least 10 years to "enjoy delicious & freshly fried fish and the various side dishes."❗ We regularly (1-2 times a month) visited the Nordsee Restaurant Sorgestraße in Bremen with my wife and/or family and friends. We ordered pollock with fried potatoes once and pollock with fries and the delicious remoulade once. My wife explicitly stated when ordering that we wanted "only freshly fried pollock pieces." The same applied to the side dishes.❗ You might ask yourself why. From experience❗ Because we know from many previous visits that the fully fried pollock pieces are stored on a tray to ensure there are always enough available. My wife explicitly told the employee behind the counter that we didn't want this because the otherwise really good fish was spoiled by being left in the oven the whole time. dripping fat, making it inedible for us. Then we went to our free table to the left of the stairs to the basement & restroom 🤢🤮 My wife then went to pay & pick up our food. Now we just wanted to enjoy our meal. Actually 😥 ❗. At that moment, a man & a woman came up the stairs and brought with them the typical stench of urine & feces, which was both for us and the other guests. But that wasn't their fault! No way! The cause of the simply disgusting stench was simply the opening of the restroom door & the fact that it had been open for a while! Our appetite had suddenly disappeared, but the stench remained 👎🏼 Who🤢 can still enjoy/get their food down with such a smell in their noses ❓❓❓ But then came the real audacity: we started eating the fish and just looked at each other, both of us knowing immediately that, "despite our expressed wish," we had gotten the fish from the tray. The fried potatoes were also lukewarm at best and just as greasy and dripping, something to get used to. My wife approached the waitress to ask why we hadn't received freshly fried pieces of pollock after all? 🤷🏼 The employee's answer was very simple!😳 "The fish from the tray tastes just as good as the freshly fried one that "hadn't been sitting in the fat"! The employee's ignorance is simply unbelievable. If I'm going to order fish there, which is anything but "cheap," I want my explicit request to be fulfilled. As a guest, I think I can really expect that. So we reluctantly poked around in our food and decided not to finish what was, on the one hand, both expensive and, on the other, inedible. Instead, we asked for a pair of napkins and packed it up. We told the employee that we were very dissatisfied with our visit today and gave all the reasons for it. His comment simply left us speechless. He said to us, and I quote: "We can't accommodate such special requests when it's as busy as it is right now, and they can't do anything about the smell from the restroom!" But my wife had already said when we ordered that we would rather wait longer to get "freshly fried fish"! Our conclusion: This was definitely our last visit to Nordsee on Sögestraße in Bremen 👎🏼🤢😷🤬 "No longer recommended It's a shame that the restaurant has deteriorated so much. We really enjoyed our lunch here except for the last two times 🥺😥 So, unfortunately, I have to give it a 1 star. PS: Of course, we didn't throw away the food, but offered it to a homeless person across the street at the old sports center. He gladly took it. And hopefully, he enjoyed it outside in the fresh air.

For a chain, the sandwich I ate wasn't bad, a fast food type place but with fish.

The fish burger was great, and the service was fast. The prices were reasonable. If you want to save even more, you can get the daily special. We also got a table inside. There are also restrooms available.

I recently visited the NORDSEE branch on Sögestraße in Bremen and was completely satisfied. As soon as I entered, I was struck by the clean and inviting atmosphere. Despite the central location and the corresponding rush of customers, everything was very organized, the processes were efficient, and the service was friendly and attentive. I would particularly like to highlight the fried fish I ordered – it was truly excellent. The breading was beautifully crispy and fried to a golden yellow, while the fish remained wonderfully tender and juicy on the inside. You can tell that attention is paid to the correct preparation here. This was accompanied by roasted fried potatoes, which were also delicious: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfectly seasoned, and with pleasant roasted aromas. A real highlight that you won't find in every fast-food chain. The dish was rounded off with a classic remoulade, which went perfectly with it. Creamy, spicy, not too overpowering – just the right accompaniment to fish and potatoes. All of this combined resulted in a truly harmonious and delicious dish, the quality of which is well above average. Overall, my visit was a very positive experience. If you're in downtown Bremen and craving a quick but high-quality fish dish, NORDSEE on Sögestraße is definitely the place to go. I'd love to come back!

The food is good. Good and high-quality fish dishes as for a chain fast food. Nothing outstanding. Service is very fast. You can literally walk into a restaurant and eat your meal in 30 seconds. Prices are adequate. You can eat for €7. You can eat for €14, and eat out for €20 per person. The atmosphere in the institution is not very good. It smells like fish, but you get used to it over time. During peak hours, the facility becomes dirty because the staff does not have time to clean. Some tables and chairs are worn by time.

First of all: We love the North Sea as an alternative. For years. It's a shame that Nordesee (at least we only became aware of it yesterday) offers chicken nuggets and, upon explicit request, fries them together with the fries and prawns.

Vorweg sei gesagt, dass wir das Personal in der Ansprache als freundlich und zuvorkommend erlebt haben. Aus zeitlichen Gründen wählten wir Produkte aus der Auslage. Die Scholle: optisch ne Mischung aus überfahrenem Iltis. Geschmacklich egal und haptisch trocken. Ja, wir hätten unsere Verantwortung nutzen sollen, das Produkt umgehend umzutauschen. Der Rotbarsch in Panade eine Mogelpackung: innen teils hohl, wenig Fisch, viel Luft und Fett. Der Zander ähnlich. Die Bratkartoffeln eine seltsame Mischung aus hart, fest, trocken und ölig. Einfach alt. Lange gelegen. Dann den vollen Preis dafür verlangen? Das Gefühl nach dem Essen: ein Tritt in die Magengrube. Einfach nur fettig und – es tut uns leid, das so sagen zu müssen – wirklich ekelhaft. Es lassen sich viele Erklärungen dazu finden, weswegen uns das zu dieser Tageszeit widerfahren ist. Das zu beurteilen oder über Arbeitsabläufe und Standards nachzudenken, überlassen wir Ihnen. Der Besuch bleibt uns schlecht in Erinnerung und wir fühlen uns darüber bestätigt, dass es manchmal doch passender und besser ist, zu einer räumlich nahegelegenen amerikanischen Fast-Foodkette zu gehen, wenn’s mal flott und geschmacklich sicherer gehen soll. Who likes simple dishes containing delicious fish for fair prices, this is the place where you should go. Within the pedestrian area, close to historic places it offers good value for the money. Down to earth and definitely not posh. Credit card accepted. We spent 23 Euros for two people eating and drinking.

This afternoon I had a great experience at Nordsee in Sögestrasse, Bremen. The boss was particularly attentive and took the time to prepare my order exactly how I wanted it. I wanted freshly fried shrimp, nice and crispy and brown, and he prepared them that way especially for me - that's really not a given. The prawns were incredibly tasty, perfectly fried and beautifully crispy, just as I imagined. The boss was also extremely friendly, which unfortunately you don't experience everywhere. A big thank you for the great service and reliability. I will definitely come back.

The service is very friendly, the prices are cheap, it is located in the middle of Bremen's pedestrian zone. Many shops, arcades and historical sights are in the immediate vicinity. The transport connections are very good, the tram stops nearby, and parking is centrally available in the many parking garages in the city center of Bremen. Bremen is always worth a trip. The Weser is a few minutes' walk away.

NORDSEE Bremen Sögestraße We bought a menu that was offered with different drinks, from which we chose a sprite but when it came to paying and receiving the drinks they told us that the drinks on the menu are only on tap and that the sprite has run out. Seeing that they have bottled sprite in the Refrigerators for public display, we told them that since they offer it with the menu that they give us a bottle instead of serving it on tap and they refuse. When I asked to receive the sprite displayed on the menu, he told me that if I didn't want another drink, I should return the food. Also, when I told them to clean the table on the terrace where we were going to eat since it was dirty from previous diners (they were all dirty) they limit themselves to passing A DRY NAPKIN AROUND THE TABLE!!!

Unfriendly service, the fish was limp and tasteless. Likewise the fried potatoes. Everything was oily, no lemon. An incredibly bad meal. Please don't go there, the store is an imposition. The only highlight was the incredibly nice cashier.

Delicious fish, friendly service

I visited this branch twice in March 2024. Both times I found the young to middle-aged male employee with a beard to be very approachable and service-oriented. I was offered a good alternative - also in terms of price, because the product I originally wanted was no longer available. In addition, the food was always hot and aromatic. One star was deducted because the floor in the toilet area was unfortunately unpleasantly sticky (but thank you for making sure soap and paper towels are available).

This place is good for a quick snack. The service is appropriate. You can eat inexpensively and deliciously. I really love their baguette with pink herring and thin onion rings. But tables need to be wiped more often and more thoroughly.

Food moderate, but edible. Tables partly dirty, toilets very dirty three quarters of an hour before closing time. This has been completely different and much better in other North Sea restaurants.

It is better not to eat fries, they are old and tasteless. The middle-aged male employee was quite dominant.

I have gone to this Nordsee on Sögerstrasse many times and have never been disappointed. Simple but good sandwiches, at very fair prices. Try the Bremer, with Fishfrikadelle (fish ball), onions and ketchup. Another Fischbrötchen (fish sandwich) is the one with Matjes, very soft and good herring, they do not have the intense flavor that is often associated with herring but they are very delicate. In short, obviously it's a fast food restaurant, but it's great for tasting classic fish sandwiches while staying in the center of Bremen.

The Nordsee on Sögestrasse is a clean branch of the Nordsee chain. The food tastes excellent and is well prepared. The staff is friendly and approachable. Price performance ratio is ok.

Drei richtig coole Typen, stehen hinter dem Thresen und bedienen lächelnd und locker aus der Hüfte (zumindest sieht es so aus, der Job ist echt nicht einfach) die Kunden. Gut besucht und trotzdem keine Warteschlangen. Wenn ich mir da die Crew im Weserpark oder in der Front anschaue, stehen die da zu fünft oder sechst, und kriegen immer noch nichts gebacken. Jungs, ich finde euch klasse. Und das Essen ist gut.
