Fish & Sea in the E-Center in Bremen

I don't know who posts the opening hours online, but they should be kept up to date. I once walked halfway across Bremen to get a fish sandwich, only to find out that the fish shop was closed for two weeks.

Service Desert Germany has now also arrived at the "NORDSEE Restaurant" in Bremen's Sögestraße! Not recommended👎🏼❗❗❗It's nowhere near what it used to be." We've been enjoying eating there for at least 10 years to "enjoy delicious & freshly fried fish and the various side dishes."❗ We regularly (1-2 times a month) visited the Nordsee Restaurant Sorgestraße in Bremen with my wife and/or family and friends. We ordered pollock with fried potatoes once and pollock with fries and the delicious remoulade once. My wife explicitly stated when ordering that we wanted "only freshly fried pollock pieces." The same applied to the side dishes.❗ You might ask yourself why. From experience❗ Because we know from many previous visits that the fully fried pollock pieces are stored on a tray to ensure there are always enough available. My wife explicitly told the employee behind the counter that we didn't want this because the otherwise really good fish was spoiled by being left in the oven the whole time. dripping fat, making it inedible for us. Then we went to our free table to the left of the stairs to the basement & restroom 🤢🤮 My wife then went to pay & pick up our food. Now we just wanted to enjoy our meal. Actually 😥 ❗. At that moment, a man & a woman came up the stairs and brought with them the typical stench of urine & feces, which was both for us and the other guests. But that wasn't their fault! No way! The cause of the simply disgusting stench was simply the opening of the restroom door & the fact that it had been open for a while! Our appetite had suddenly disappeared, but the stench remained 👎🏼 Who🤢 can still enjoy/get their food down with such a smell in their noses ❓❓❓ But then came the real audacity: we started eating the fish and just looked at each other, both of us knowing immediately that, "despite our expressed wish," we had gotten the fish from the tray. The fried potatoes were also lukewarm at best and just as greasy and dripping, something to get used to. My wife approached the waitress to ask why we hadn't received freshly fried pieces of pollock after all? 🤷🏼 The employee's answer was very simple!😳 "The fish from the tray tastes just as good as the freshly fried one that "hadn't been sitting in the fat"! The employee's ignorance is simply unbelievable. If I'm going to order fish there, which is anything but "cheap," I want my explicit request to be fulfilled. As a guest, I think I can really expect that. So we reluctantly poked around in our food and decided not to finish what was, on the one hand, both expensive and, on the other, inedible. Instead, we asked for a pair of napkins and packed it up. We told the employee that we were very dissatisfied with our visit today and gave all the reasons for it. His comment simply left us speechless. He said to us, and I quote: "We can't accommodate such special requests when it's as busy as it is right now, and they can't do anything about the smell from the restroom!" But my wife had already said when we ordered that we would rather wait longer to get "freshly fried fish"! Our conclusion: This was definitely our last visit to Nordsee on Sögestraße in Bremen 👎🏼🤢😷🤬 "No longer recommended It's a shame that the restaurant has deteriorated so much. We really enjoyed our lunch here except for the last two times 🥺😥 So, unfortunately, I have to give it a 1 star. PS: Of course, we didn't throw away the food, but offered it to a homeless person across the street at the old sports center. He gladly took it. And hopefully, he enjoyed it outside in the fresh air.

Coupons are not accepted, staff are unfriendly – ​​it's a shame, the customer is clearly not king here…

The food was lukewarm. The floor was disgustingly sticky. The tables were garnished with food left over from the previous diners. Only after repeated requests were we given a napkin, which was then wetted so we could clean our own table. The one served is shown in the last picture.

I'll start on a positive note: The communal dining area of ​​the Waterfront restaurants is comfortable. Unfortunately, that's almost it. The wraps we ordered were okay, but no better quality than at Mc****. The so-called "fried fish" were two square crispy fillets that I can also buy in the freezer at Aldi or Lidl. The potato salad was strangely glassy and indefinably thickened. Our water was completely forgotten! The service was also truly inadequate. Definitely NOT enough for the €10.99 "fried fish" "budget" menu, sorry!
