Dat Fischhuus in Bremen

I don't know who posts the opening hours online, but they should be kept up to date. I once walked halfway across Bremen to get a fish sandwich, only to find out that the fish shop was closed for two weeks.

A fish sandwich for €4.50 is almost normal. But for that price, the sandwiches could be prepared with more care. A wait time of at least 10 minutes is perfectly acceptable for a snack bar with only one server and everything freshly prepared. The design, especially in the courtyard, could be better. Seating inside and in the courtyard is limited, and there are no restrooms at all!

We ended up here looking for fish sandwiches. Our sandwiches were freshly prepared, so we had to wait about eight minutes, which was perfectly fine. The sandwiches were delicious, and the service was friendly. Regarding the ambiance, I can only comment on the counter area, which was clean and attractively designed.

Thawed, dead fried fish, not fresh fish as advertised. So if you don't want to be sold frozen fish fingers for 7.50, you should move on.

Skip it, unfortunately very mediocre. Hopefully better next time. Cold and rubbery kibbeling.

Misleading opening hours and dry fish sandwiches

Initially, of course, only cash payments... according to the sign, the technical problem was only today. We were there a few months ago, and the sign was there too :-), so it's probably a scam... The sauces are ALL from a Knorr jar - that's really bad for a fried fish in a tiny roll for 7 euros, and it's so dry you'll drop. The friendliness is zero. I was more annoyed when we were surprised by the Knorr jars. There are tables in the store, too, but there are no restrooms. People, don't get ripped off. There are better places in Bremen for a fried fish!

They accept only cash. Additional 50 cent charged per sauce. Fish is cooked / fried freshly. There is a nice garden at the back of the shop.

The fish sandwich was very tasty. However, I ordered it without the remoulade and salad. Instead, I ordered it with ketchup. They charged me an additional 50 cents for that little extra. A disgrace.

No credit card payments... pretty outdated, isn't it? Well, at least there's a small sign indicating that. But the question about the price of fish and chips was answered with 7.50 euros. Two portions were then charged at 16 euros. Inquiry revealed that the accompanying sauce (which was offered directly with the dish) was charged at 0.50 cents per portion. Really? In my opinion, this is clear deception and an illegitimate attempt to sugarcoat the price. To avoid any misunderstanding: The portion at 7.50 euros wouldn't be a bargain, but it's OK. But to conceal the additional costs like that and thus charge the portion for 8 euros is completely unacceptable in my opinion. Well, this will be a one-time visit. Too bad. But apparently they don't need Bremen residents as repeat customers.

The fish sandwiches here are truly delicious and highly recommended. However, the service at the counter in the shop is quite unfriendly and rude. What a shame.

Super delicious food, and very popular. The location is a bit tight... if it's full you have to wait a long time. The staff is super nice, but unfortunately understaffed.

The Bismarck roll was freshly topped and was very tasty. Price wise completely okay.

This store, especially the service, is terrible. We waited a whopping 30 minutes for TWO fish and chips. As a shop you have to be prepared for a busy Saturday? The two in the store were completely overwhelmed. Plus it's way too expensive. So cheeky, never again. And it doesn't even taste particularly good.

Very tasty and rustic location. But unfortunately the staff didn't seem to be in the mood that day. :( Also no card payment possible. The only information about this is on a small piece of paper, visible after you've been standing in line for a few minutes. It drove away one or two people around me.

With a little waiting you can get the best fried fish rolls here. Only recommended.

Actually a nice shop with a nice courtyard in the Schnoor. The kibbeling was the worst I've ever eaten. Super dry, almost cold, rubbery. On a very dry bun which made the whole thing even drier. Salad didn't look appetizing. The inner courtyard at the back would actually be nice, but it looked very bland. Service lackluster, somehow inappropriate for the area. We said we wanted to eat in the back yard and didn't even get a plate. But none of that would matter if the fish was good and it really wasn't. I didn't eat it anymore. I would have expected much better in the Schnoor in Bremen.

Fish fillet is frozen ready-made product. The potato salad is from the big bucket. Not recommendable. How the exuberant reviews here come about is a mystery.

Here we were able to eat a delicious herring roll in a beautifully designed snack bar. The service was very friendly and the bread rolls were freshly topped. Good fish snack in Schnoor. Recommended!!!

I ordered a fried fish. The fried fish was an industrial product with a very thick ready-made breading and came from the fryer. The roll was an industrial product and was a baked roll. The sauce was an industrial product. If you like industrial products and don't like fresh products, you're in good hands here! The fried fish was very expensive! Guys, go to the snack bar by the gurnard bowl basket to eat fish! There is quality there and no industrial fish!

Nette Menschen, allerdings wohl der schlechteste Backfisch in ganz Norddeutschland. Dazu ein fertiger convenient Kartoffelsalat der einfach nur süß und schrecklich schmeckt. Die Fischbrötchen sind nicht mit Bäckerbrötchen sondern nur mit Aufbackbrötchen, entsprechend trocken ist das ganze. Dann lieber beim Bäcker eine trockene Brezel auf die hand...

Personnel ne parle aucun anglais et n'essaie même pas comprendre ce que le client veut. A 14h30 plus de frites un dimanche midi pas terrible et en plus 15 mins d'attente pour un sandwich de poisson pané. Le sandwich au saumon est très bon, dommage que le service est médiocre.

Leider war sowohl der Fisch als auch der Kartoffelsalat nicht aus eigener Produktion, sondern offensichtlich (und geschmacklich) TK Ware beziehungsweise aus dem sprichwörtlichen Eimer. Es drängt sich, an dieser Stelle, der Begriff der „Geldmacherei“ auf. Die Dame hinter dem Tresen wirkte nicht besonders motiviert und war schon gar nicht als freundlich oder gar zugänglich zu beschreiben. Wir finden dieses großartige, historische Stadtviertel hätte etwas anderes verdient.

Frische Fischbrötchen Mitten im Schnohr-Viertel direkt auf die Hand. Obwohl noch ein Matjesbrötchen an der Theke lag, wurden unsere beiden Brötchen frisch zubereitet. Sehr lecker und für 4€ war die Portion völlig ausreichend.

Für einen Snack zwischendurch ein Stopp auf jedenfall Wert. Sehr leckerer Fisch, Brötchen gut belegt, frisch und preislich völlig ok. Besitzerin war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Wer sich hier für einen schnellen Snack ein Fischbrötchen auf die Hand holt, kann erst mal nicht viel verkehrt machen. Solides Matjesbrötchen, für 4€ aber schon an der oberen Preisskala. Personal freundlich. Also nicht der Hammer, aber gut.

ich muss sagen es war echt lecker! Die Remoulade hat geschmeckt, die Pommes auch und natürlich ebenso der Fisch. Hinten im kleinen Innenhof sitzt man abseits des Trubels und kann entspannt genießen!

Ich war am Sonnabend in dem Laden und wollte mir für € 4,00 ein Brötchen mit Bismarckhering kaufen. Als ich sah, dass man mir nur einen “halben” Bismarck auf das Brötchen legte und auf Nachfrage bestätigte, dass das so sei, bin ich ohne Brötchen wieder gegangen. Birgit aus Hamburg

Mein Räuchermatjes war klasse. Für 4€ hätte ich mir jedoch ein frisches Brötchen vom Bäcker gewünscht. Nichtsdestotrotz, ich würde wieder dort hingehen. Klare Empfehlung!

Personal sehr langsam und es werden Handschuhe getragen...was grundsätzlich gut ist aber wenn ich damit Lebensmittel und Geld anfassen...sorry ein No Go.

Waren heute dort und haben uns eine Portion fish n chips geholt. Pommes waren ganz Okey außer das es ein bisschen gut gemeint war mit dem Pommes Gewürz. Aber der Fisch war ne Katastrophe, sowas von trocken. Der Fisch lag vor frittiert im warm halte behälter.. Ich weiß nicht wie lange schon aber die waren extremst trocken. Nein danke nicht noch einmal. Und das Thema Hygiene wird dort auch nicht groß geschrieben 1 paar Handschuhe an und damit wird alles gemacht: - abkassiert - Ware aus dem Lager geholt - und das Essen zubereitet Für den Preis und die Lage hätte ichehr erwartet.
