Small cozy restaurant, good cuisine, fish prices like everywhere else, gladly again..

As we have done for many years, we drove on Thursday during our Baltic Sea holiday to our “mandatory visit” to the Rennhack fish restaurant in Prerow (almost 50 km from the holiday destination). Cod with potatoes and mustard sauce and plaice chef (with goat cheese) was on our wish list this time. And again we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent, plentiful and the Mediterranean vegetables we requested separately were no problem and very tasty. The Radler, which was too beer-heavy for my taste, was also kindly filled with soda upon request. So, no wish remained unfulfilled. The service was also very nice. This also shows how you call into the forest, this is how it sounds out... We will continue to indulge in culinary delights there! Thanks for that and keep it up! Greetings from Thuringia!

We booked a table in advance, which you should definitely do. Finding a restaurant in Prerow and the surrounding area that meets our needs is not that easy. However, here we found what we were looking for. The ambience is right, the friendly yet Nordic style of service - we like this charm, the food is also pleasing to the eye, the time from ordering to the actual enjoyment, price/performance. Coherent. Very clear recommendation, we would love to come back and we had the fish platter, super tasty and almost boneless. But that's complaining at a high level, you know what you're ordering. Ate in the outdoor area next to the street, but this isn't rated negatively, it's homely... rustic. We definitely recommend it.

We were guests today and unfortunately I have to say the staff was terrible and you were afraid to ask for a second drink. Just spreading gossip and bad humor behind the counter. Creepy cold staff atmosphere. The food was great, big compliments to the chef.

Local beer on draught. Nice people. One of several outlets in the area. You can sit down or get a fish sandwich to take away.

*** PERFECT *** I had the house fish soup as a starter. Then a herring plate. Both were absolutely perfect! It wasn't good or very good, it was simply great! Best ingredients. Also fresh herbs - everything perfectly coordinated. Herring platter: Not just herring but very well prepared with fruit and vegetables "in the direction of herring salad" / great fried herring / delicious fried herring / fried potatoes A1!!! Thank you very much for that. Service was very nice and absolutely professional.

I've done it, just ask at the employment office, they'll be able to tell you stories, and then we'll say something about the shortage of skilled workers Nobody wants to work for such employers

Food at canteen level. We were 4 adults, 3 children and ate inside. The reception wasn't really inviting. A smile - none. Kind words could do so much positive things. “Captain Blue Bear” should be fish figures (plural). An indefinable form of fried fish mass arrived. My daughter started crying as soon as she took the first bite and spit everything out. We could honestly understand it too. The pollock in the batter was also subpar. Every fried fish in a roll is tastier. The fries average. The cucumber salad was acceptable. The main courses had no finesse. We had the impression that the ingredients were supplied by the industry. It fits into the picture if the waitress doesn't ask whether it was tasty. Afterwards we quickly cooked spinach with mashed potatoes and a fried egg for the children and thus saved the evening.

Hier sollte man in der Hauptsaison auf jeden Fall reservieren mindestens vier Tage im Voraus. Das Essen war sehr gut, aber das Personal machte einen sehr gestressten Eindruck besonders die ältere Dame. Die Küche schließt sehr früh. Ich glaube 19:30 Uhr bin mir da aber nicht mehr ganz sicher. Wir empfehlen dasDarßer Bier zu den Gerichten. Es werden lokale Fischspezialitäten serviert. Das Ambiente ist angenehm altbacken, wie wir es mögen.

Had a spontaneous meal. Food and drinks were actually very good. But and this needs to be brought up here. Unfortunately, it's not nice at all to accept how the permanent staff treats new employees who are perhaps happy to be able to work. Even if there are language barriers and the employees don't understand everything, the tone should still be maintained. Especially since there was no stress. New employees are and will only be as good as how you teach them and how you deal with them. And also to the chef, guests are sitting in the dining room. We could understand everything, the way they were screaming. That doesn't make a good impression. And not only will they lose their staff, but also guests. Therefore only two stars. Please take this to heart. This situation made us feel uncomfortable. I hope that we never have to experience this with you again and I still wish you good summer business and good and happy employees.

The fish plate served was full of bones and therefore almost inedible. I have never had such a bad fish plate in any other restaurant. The rudeness of the service staff, for whom this is a completely normal dish, was another negative peak.

It was our first time here in Prerow and also in this restaurant. Kudos to the chef! The food was really tasty! I've rarely eaten such good fish. The homemade tartar sauce is also highly recommended. Unfortunately, the friendliness of the service in the morning was left behind. A word or two more wouldn't hurt and smiling doesn't hurt either😀 That's why I can unfortunately only give it 4 stars.

I was only in the to-go area. Fish sandwiches on hand. Unfortunately for me it wasn't convincing, neither in terms of taste nor in terms of price. Better offers found in Prerow.

Lack of empathy and lack of service orientation. We wanted to take fish sandwiches from the self-service area. The display was not lavishly equipped. Well, that doesn't mean anything. When asked if they had shrimp rolls, the only response was a meager “We don’t!” The lady made no attempt to praise the three rolls laid out. Meanwhile, my son (12) was definitely pointed out by another lady that we weren't allowed to stand where we were with our bikes. We should park outside and not on the (large) terrace (no seats). You couldn't see the tiny signs indicating this. We didn't see any customers next to us and didn't scare anyone off with our bikes. Apart from the fact that she would have liked to have been able to tell the adult companion. I'm sorry. In our opinion, customer orientation looks different. Luckily there are very good alternatives (“Matjesbude”) in the area of ​​the pier. Thanks for nothing!!

Sehr gutes Essen, wirkt zudem auch frisch zubereitet. Sehr zu empfehlen. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen: die Bedienung wirkt teilweise etwas überfordert, sehr bemüht und nicht unfreundlich aber etwas gestresst. Einer Gruppe wurde der freundlich vorgetragene Wunsch, zwei Tische zusammenzustellen aus meiner Sicht grundlos verwehrt. Dennoch aufgrund der Qualität sehr zu empfehlen und am Service wird man sicher noch etwas verbessern können.

Sehr nettes Personal. Essen war nicht der Hit. Backfisch hatte eine total weiche Panade und hat nicht geschmeckt. Bei mir war der Lachs zu lange gebraten und trocken, statt saftig. Insgesamt war die Fischplatte mit 3 verschiedenen Fischen und vielen Salzkartoffeln eine sehr trockene Angelegenheit.

Sehr lecker gegessen. Drinnen am besten reservieren, auf der Terrasse ohne. Mit Hund draußen gesessen. Zum Mitnehmen nur bis 17uhr möglich.

Gutes Essen, sehr gutes Bier, man möchte mäkeln wegen der höheren Preise, aber vielleicht werde ich auch nur alt.

Unsere Gerichte waren außerordentlich schmackhaft. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die Bodden-Flunder, schmackhaft und ausreichende Portionsgröße. Preisgestaltung noch nicht ganz so abgehoben wie manch anderer an der Ostseeküste. Leben und leben lassen. Beim nächsten Aufenthalt werden wir hier gern wieder einkehren. Ganz klare Empfehlung.

Sehr schõnes Restaurant, hõfliches u. freundliches Personal. Essenauswahl ist reichlich, hatten Brathering mit Bratkartoffeln u. Seelachs in Backteig mit Pommes. Preise sind den heutigen Bedingungen angepasst. Kommen gerne wieder.
