Das Personal ist stark nach Herkunft sortiert; von Gleichberechtigung keine Spur – traurig. Die stoffbezogenen Stühle waren unansehnlich und fleckig, der Tisch schmutzig und klebrig. Zwei Salate bestanden im Wesentlichen aus einem halbierten Kopfsalat. Überzeugen Sie sich selbst.

Der Fisch ist perfekt und schmeckt. Habe schon lange nicht mehr so guten Fisch gegessen

Ich war dieses Jahr wieder einmal dort essen und es war wieder sehr lecker, ganz besonders die Räucherfischsülze. Auch das Geschäft bietet leckere Sachen. Ich komme garantiert wieder. Heute (02.07.2026) war ich mal wieder da. Heute fand ich mal etwas auf der Karte, das hier nicht zu finden ist. Seelachs im Käsemantel gebacken, Reis und Salat Vielleicht könnt ihr das mit einem Bild nachtragen). Das war mal wieder richtig lecker. Und auch das Personal war freundlich. Wieder lieben Dank an euch.

Wir fühlen uns als Gäste immer wieder herzlich willkommen. Das Personal ist immer freundlich, vor allem sehr hundefreundlich. Der Fisch ist ausgezeichnet und selbstverständlich kann auch eine Gräte zu finden sein, deshalb ist es ja Fisch. Macht weiter so und lasst Euch von ungeduldigen und manchmal auch unfreundlichen Gästen nicht aus der Ruhe bringen.

Tolle regionale Fischküche mit normalen Preisen. Ja kann auch mal eine Fischsorte nicht da sein, aber eben weil der frische Fang es nicht hergab. Sehr nette Bedienung. Unbedingt den Darßer Tropfen probieren.

Nach Jahren wieder einmal hier. Das Essen ist noch immer hervorragend! Und meinen geliebten gebratenen Rogen gibt es zum Glück auch noch! Sind sehr freundlich bedient worden... Ich komme sehr gern wieder!

Es wäre fair den Preis für ein Fischbrötchen mit Dorsch sichtbar auf eine Preistafel zu schreiben,und nicht erst an der Kasse 10 Euro zu verlangen.

Hier wird man nachdrücklich darauf hingewiesen, dass man sich nur hinsetzen kann wenn man etwas bestellt! Ansonsten muss man stehend auf die Bestellung aus dem Verkauf warten! Absolut inakzeptabel! Die Preise haben sich auch gewaschen!!!!

Das Essen hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Das Servicepersonal wirkt jedoch sehr lustlos. Als ich z.B. nachgefragt habe, ob der Nachtisch Rote Grütze glutenfrei sei, wurde mir nur geantwortet, dass sie das nicht wüsste. Die rote Grütze würde man auch nur einkaufen. Kundenfreundlich wäre es gewesen wenn man gesagt hätte: "Ich schaue für Sie auf der Zutatenliste nach."

Wir haben für unsere Hochzeit spontan Fischbrötchen bestellt gehabt. Es waren alle begeistert. Es hat alles geklappt, es war super lecker und der Service hervorragend. Trotz der großen Vorbestellung wurden alle Fischbrötchen frisch zubereitet, es wurde sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben. Vielen Dank für die Umsetzung. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Fisch hat muffig gerochen und beim Anschneiden trat sehr viel Flüssigkeit aus. Ich habe es nicht runter gebracht. Kellnerin erwiderte nur, dass es keinen frischeren Fisch gibt und sie aber in der Küche Bescheid sagt. Eine Rückmeldung habe ich nicht erhalten. Wir sind noch 1 Woche in Prerow und wissen nun, wo wir nicht wieder Essen gehen.

Bodenständige Gaststätte mit sehr nettem Personal und leckeren Gerichten. Vor allem die Fischgerichte sind hervor zu heben! Wir waren mehrfach dort zum Essen und es war immer top! Great fish restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and the food was delicious.

We enjoyed lunch and dinner at this restaurant on two consecutive days. The Prerow fried herring and the Nordic plate are highly recommended! The cucumber and coleslaw were also a real treat! The staff is a bit reserved but friendly nonetheless. The value for money is excellent! We'd be happy to come back!

We were there for lunch, had the homemade fish soup as a starter, fried herring and fried eel for the main course; as expected, everything was delicious. If you like beer, I recommend the Darßer Pils. Mmmmmmmhhhhhh😃

I highly recommend this restaurant. From the welcome, ordering the food, and the attentive service, it was an all-around wonderful experience. The appetizer of cold smoked salmon slices with potato pancakes and the main course of bodden eel with fried potatoes were delicious. The Rennhack Restaurant impresses with its delicious, hearty, and plentiful food – highly recommended for anyone who enjoys large portions and traditional cuisine. However, I was less impressed by the service: The staff often seemed unfriendly and not very attentive to the guests. Unfortunately, I rarely experienced patience or a listening ear. Therefore, the tip was correspondingly smaller.

We first ate here three years ago. Back then, the portion was amazing. Well-balanced, warm, and tasty. Unfortunately, we weren't able to repeat that experience last year or this year. The baked fish came cold, the sweet potato fries were lukewarm, and the salad was moldy in places. The waitresses walk around with a look on their faces that makes it almost unpleasant to point out "flaws" like a cold portion. The mixed herring platter was okay, but you really can't go wrong with it. The prices, however, are unfortunately quite high for what you get. And don't get me wrong, I'm happy to pay for quality. Unfortunately, this was our last visit to Rennhack. It's a shame, but maybe you'll consider the review to improve things.

Yes, very tasty fish dishes and the service was also very friendly.

We think the frozen fish is plaice, with parts of it still raw and watery in the plate. For €26, I expect more. The salmon was dry. We left €66 there. We told the staff our opinion so they could pass it on to the kitchen. Taste trails, no flavor, it tastes of nothing. Mass processing. I dare say the chef isn't a chef. The wait isn't due to the good food. Considering it's right on the Baltic Sea, I expect fresh fish and decent food for the price. Whether we know anything about cooking, yes.

The food used to be better. The fish fillet was very bony. The fried eel wasn't the freshest. The service was very taciturn and not particularly friendly.

The herring was offered in all its forms and was of high quality. We had herring, sweet and sour herring, and fried herring, along with fried potatoes. Truly delicious. The entire restaurant is very well maintained! I'll be back!

The fish here is truly amazing. We had the Bodden zander with sweet potatoes and the herring platter with three kinds of herring and fried potatoes, and we were truly surprised by the quality and flavor. We were very satisfied. The zander fillet and the fish platter were both generous portions and very tasty. Special requests were also accommodated. Vegetarian and meat dishes are also available as alternatives to fish. The service was friendly and attentive. How should I describe it without exaggerating? I'll try it this way... if you like eating fish or maybe just want to try it once despite dislike, this is the right place for you. For me, what is on offer here and what it means to eat fish is, colloquially, the top drawer. best quality combined with plain and simple. In my opinion it couldn't be better. Unfortunately, I have to absolutely recommend the restaurant. Disappointed. There were four of us and we ordered, among other things, the asparagus pan with zander cheeks twice. Unfortunately, everything was swimming in a clear, almost watery sauce. The asparagus, fish and sauce all had a metallic taste. In both dishes. And now comes the incredible thing: the first waitress when asked about it said she couldn't do anything and just left. When asked about it, the second waitress immediately complained that it wasn't her fault if I didn't like it. I said that I found the taste questionable and unappetizing and that I couldn't eat it that way. She then said that they couldn't offer me a replacement due to capacity reasons. I persisted in not wanting to eat it. She then said that animals had to die for this and that the cook and the staff had now had to work for free. There wasn't even a single word of goodwill or regret, but an immediate attack. I said that I won't pay then, to which she said that it's clear that they don't want to pay. I said, try it yourself. I then went out. The rest of my companions ate (but not the second asparagus pan either, because it also tasted metallic. The other two dishes were good). Then the waitress came back to them and said: Well, we tried this and it tasted good. Point. It's a shame that I have to give a negative review here. But I've never experienced anything like this! Underground and therefore not recommended. Unfortunately I had to give 1 star in order to be able to rate it! Really, I have never experienced anything so unpleasant to customers.

We were lucky and were able to choose a free table outside, but after that it got full pretty quickly (around 6 p.m.). The service was attentive and friendly, asking questions and caring proactively. The main courses were decent in size and reasonable in price. I can recommend the Nordic plate. However, the starters (fried roe and the 5 shrimps) were more than disappointing and definitely not worth the money. I would advise against this.

I was there on January 7, 2025, to have lunch. The website stated that they were open daily from 12:00 PM. However, after reading several signs, I realized: 1. Open from 12:00 PM 2. Direction to the entrance 3. Closed for vacation. It's a shame the website isn't kept up to date.

The restaurant was busy at lunch on December 30th, and there was still a table available upstairs. The service was attentive and friendly. The menu offers a wide selection of different fish dishes. I chose the cod fillet with mustard sauce. It was a generous portion, fresh, and tasty. The drink prices are somewhat unreasonably high. The ice cream with sea buckthorn rum soup is delicious and highly recommended.

Fish restaurant Rennhack is very best

As we have done for many years, we drove on Thursday during our Baltic Sea holiday to our “mandatory visit” to the Rennhack fish restaurant in Prerow (almost 50 km from the holiday destination). Cod with potatoes and mustard sauce and plaice chef (with goat cheese) was on our wish list this time. And again we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent, plentiful and the Mediterranean vegetables we requested separately were no problem and very tasty. The Radler, which was too beer-heavy for my taste, was also kindly filled with soda upon request. So, no wish remained unfulfilled. The service was also very nice. This also shows how you call into the forest, this is how it sounds out... We will continue to indulge in culinary delights there! Thanks for that and keep it up! Greetings from Thuringia!

We booked a table in advance, which you should definitely do. Finding a restaurant in Prerow and the surrounding area that meets our needs is not that easy. However, here we found what we were looking for. The ambience is right, the friendly yet Nordic style of service - we like this charm, the food is also pleasing to the eye, the time from ordering to the actual enjoyment, price/performance. Coherent. Very clear recommendation, we would love to come back and we had the fish platter, super tasty and almost boneless. But that's complaining at a high level, you know what you're ordering. Ate in the outdoor area next to the street, but this isn't rated negatively, it's homely... rustic. We definitely recommend it.

The baked pike-perch fillet with goat cheese and rocket is highly recommended. The portions are a very good size and the waiting time was reasonable. We were served very friendly and were given a table without a reservation. But it's no longer high season 😉

Local fish restaurant in the style of the area. It does not try to be something else. All family prepared and long tradition in the area. Some indoor seats, large terrace, with shade. Local beer on draught. Nice people. One of several outlets in the area. You can sit down or get a fish sandwich to take away.
