If you can avoid eating there, you should! We had the impression, which was also reinforced by the pinging of the microwave, that the food was coming from the freezer. Convenience a la carte... When we were greeted by the hectic lady, we were immediately on first name terms, and the constant touching wasn't my cup of tea. Our bottle of still water was already open, and the suspicion that a faucet was involved was already obvious. The wild boar roast was kindly already cut into small pieces, and these pieces were laced with tendons and covered in silver skin. The watery potato rounded off the poor meal. My plaice was unsalted, and the blob of mashed potatoes was drowned in melted butter. A bit of coleslaw and a strip of bell pepper are also boring on the plate... I can't understand other comments raving about such food. I thought it was absolutely awful! As I've already written, go eat somewhere else!

It's worth a look. There's a beautiful path through the forest leading there.

It was our first time eating here and we were greeted very warmly at the door. The large salad plate is really huge! Very filling. And even as an adult, you can get a small (child's) schnitzel if you're not that hungry. It was delicious. The gentleman who served us (owner?) was very, very friendly. Highly recommended!

A beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. We enjoyed the food very much. However, there is one minor criticism. The staff seemed overwhelmed with orders at times, and there were mix-ups. The waiters apparently couldn't keep up with the volume of guests. However, everything was perfect at our table, and the value for money is truly excellent. PS: Why some people here review the Prerow lighthouse on the west beach (which is somewhere completely different) and leave a bad review here is simply a mystery.

Beautiful, as always. Great view, great exhibition, great hiking trails there. One star deducted because you can only reach the snack bar through the ticket office. For someone who wants to hike along the beach and already knows the tower, the coffee will be correspondingly expensive ;)

We reserved by phone and were conveniently located near the entrance. Drinks and food were promptly ordered and served. My portion of grützwurst could have been larger, but the mashed potatoes and sauerkraut were delicious. We were very satisfied with the food and would gladly return.

Six of us went there for dinner without a reservation. We got a table without waiting, and the food was great and the service was fantastic. I had wild boar and can highly recommend it. 🤗🤗

Before ordering, I asked whether the lobster soup was fresh or canned. Everything is made fresh here, was the answer...the soup, or something indefinable, slimy, gel-like, slightly orange pureed, definitely NOT lobster, disgustingly slimy in the mouth...I had to force myself to eat 1/3 of it...

The hike to the lighthouse was very relaxing, and the view from the lighthouse and along the beach was unbeatable. The fact that access to the snack bar is only possible with an €8 entrance fee was very disappointing. 😏

The surroundings are beautiful, and both the lighthouse and the beach are wonderful. The option to get something to eat or drink via the museum is a real shame.

Very friendly service, good food

Pros: We got a seat on the terrace relatively quickly, although it's right next to the sidewalk/street (which can't be helped), and the service was very friendly. Cons: Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great – the fried herring was warm, the fried potatoes unfortunately fell apart, but the herring was quite okay. The drinks also took a long time to arrive (15 minutes). Conclusion: Not that great – but they tried hard.

Absolutely fantastic! We actually just wanted to have a quick beer, but ended up eating there instead. It was soooo tasty and the people were incredibly friendly. We'll definitely go back. Addendum: Finally back in Prerow after a miserably long year. I used to visit a number of restaurants on vacation, but many of them either declined in quality or increased considerably in price. Here at the "Darßer Leuchtturm," everything is still great. It's rare to find such attentive service as in this restaurant. Always cheerful, fast, and the chef always has time for a few kind words. My dog ​​gets his water without having to ask, and I'm absolutely thrilled with my perfectly prepared food. When I want to go out to eat, Willi and I only go here. 👍👍👍😃

Interesting, especially for the view from the lighthouse (it's very narrow up there!!) and as a perfect ending to a beautiful walk around Darßer Ort. Yes, you really do have to pay to get into the café (and unfortunately, it took an extremely long time to get in). The exhibition (museum) is okay, but not "earth-shattering."

Honestly, it's not a great restaurant. The food isn't homemade, and the ambiance is really dated. Not recommended. Go somewhere else to eat.

What a treat, both culinary and entertaining. We were there spontaneously with 6 people and got a table straight away without any hassle or waiting. The waitress was very friendly, in a good mood, and had a lot of fun doing her job. The menu had something for everyone, including children and teenagers, from fish and meat, in many variations and yet clear. My plaice was excellent and my table companions were also very satisfied with their schnitzels, pork and chicken steaks and fried herring rings. Thank you for the lovely end to an already excellent day on the Darß. We were definitely not here for the last time!

We made a spontaneous decision and ate fish and also schnitzel. The fish (pollock and zander) tasted really fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the side dishes (herb hollondaise and vegetables) were all from the Tetrabpack or ready-made vegetables with a little herb butter.

Were looking for a restaurant after 8 p.m. and were very positively surprised here. The service was very nice, the atmosphere was very cozy and inviting. The food was delicious like grandma's. I can only recommend it!

Wir waren spontan zum Mittagessen vorbeigekommen. Das Restaurant von außen schön, innen schon in die Jahre gekommen. Nebensaison war somit nichts los. Wir haben uns für Fisch und Hamburger Schnitzel entschieden. Das Schnitzel für 17,95€. War mir bei der Bestellung schon klar, dass hier keine kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten zu erwarten sind. Alles leider Convenience Produkte, Mischgemüse und Schnitzel Tk Ware, Kroketten sicher auch, die waren aber gut. Beim Fisch waren die Bratkartoffeln gut, farblich alles blass, heller Fisch, Weißkrautsalat, Bratkartoffeln und Hollandaisesoße ( Fertigprodukte aus dem Tetrapack). Nun ja, zum preislich satt werden okay, mehr aber auch nicht. Potential nach oben mit einer besseren Küche.

Simple restaurant with home-style cuisine. The service was nice, but we were still advised to make a reservation, which is probably difficult if you have just arrived. The food was so-so. Unfortunately schnitzel from the freezer and deep fryer. Unfortunately the fish was fried dry. The game dishes, however, were delicious.

Wir hatten glücklicherweise reserviert. Die Begrüßung freundlich, "rustikal". Die Dame vom Service hat das Herz und die Schnute am richtigen Fleck. Das Essen ist von der Qualität her guter Durchschnitt, die Portionsgrößen sind den günstigen Preisen angemessen. Details: Die Soße vom Würzfleisch war etwas dünn, der überbackene Käse darüber auch. Die Bratkartoffeln zum Hauptgang waren ok, aber, genauso wie der Teller, kalt bzw. nur lauwarm. Das Dessert hat einiges wieder rausgerissen, deshalb gibt es gute 4 Sterne und eine Empfehlung von uns.

The service was so okay and super friendly. The ambience is a bit run down... My food was tasty, but lukewarm. My friend's deer was also only warmed up and half was chewy and full of cartilage. We won't go there anymore...

We had a craving for fish soup. It was already on a board outside. We ordered two pieces and were very disappointed when they were served in spiced meat bowls. And that for €7.90 per portion. It tasted very good but the price was not justified in such a portion. The mashed potatoes with the bacon plaice were pretty unseasoned and while we were collecting the money, the owner called a fellow countryman and gave us a larifari. Very rude. Definitely won't be going there again.

There is a lot of room for improvement in the food on offer. The food arrived after a few minutes, so it can hardly have been freshly prepared. And that's how it tasted. The vegetable side dish was gray and unappetizing. The fried potatoes were lukewarm and not crispy. It's a shame, we were disappointed.

At first glance it's a nice little restaurant. At second glance you can see the cobwebs in every corner and the curtains that haven't been washed in years. The portions are large but poorly prepared. I had fried eggs and fried potatoes. The fried eggs were fried too quickly, resulting in a hard, dry crust forming on the bottom. The fried potatoes, like the vegetables, are frozen. I doubt whether they saw a pan. They were pre-browned by the manufacturer and not crispy at all. Conclusion: Edible but not enjoyable. I wouldn't eat here a second time.

We were greeted in a friendly manner a few minutes before it actually opened and the dog was given a bowl of water without being asked. We've had better fish, but it was tasty, the price/performance ratio was right, the portion size was absolutely fine and the service was good. The interior design is a bit old, but it exudes a certain charm. You can easily pay with an EC card; gladly again.

The LeuchtOrt museum café should fundamentally rethink how it deals with disabled people. After an extremely strenuous walk, my husband urgently needed a break in the warmth and a coffee to cheer him up. An ID card with 100% disability and markings G and B didn't help. Information: 8 euros entrance fee, otherwise no coffee. It is not possible for us to use the exhibition or climb the lighthouse due to the disability. “Thank you” for your friendly welcome.

We hiked about 6km from Prerow to the lighthouse. When we got there, we wanted to sit comfortably in the cafe with coffee and cake. Well, the way you do it. However, on site it was said that there was an entrance fee of €8 per person to even get into the cafe. Even if money is looser on vacation. For us, this is a rip-off. That's not how you treat tourists. We're definitely not coming back. Too bad.

There are public toilets...the locations at the tower/cafe can only be accessed by paying the entrance fee to the museum....

Definitely a very nice and cozy restaurant, the service is original and friendly, which makes you very likeable and fits the charm of the pub perfectly. The food is homemade, nothing is out of the bag and you can taste it too. When eating there is a lot of love and passion added, clearly 5*****. Price performance is absolutely top and one of the best restaurants in Prerow and we have really tested everything here in over 10 years. Conclusion: My absolute insider tip for Prerow.!!!

The plaice was good, but the roast was inedible. It was hard to cut (apart from the dull knife) and was so tough that a day later my husband still had jaw pain from chewing and a mark in his index finger from pressing hard with the knife. The waitress was very kind and attentive, had a little saying for everyone, but of course she couldn't do anything for the cook. Because of her, my husband didn't return the food because he would have been sorry. At first glance the place looks really quaint, but if you look closer, everything is completely dusty, even the artificial plants close to some of the tables are light gray instead of rich green and you shouldn't touch the coarsely knitted or braided dark brown lampshades, just crazy - or dust weaving. The tables for two are either totally in the way or so close together that you could take something from your neighbor's plate. In the back is the path to the toilet, which releases delicious smells when people open and close the sliding door. Beautiful and cozy is different.

We didn't like it here so much outside or inside. It was getting old and looked quite dingy. The service was nice, but I had to ask for certain information first... unfortunately the price/performance ratio in the overall package was not consistent. For the price you can expect a little more on the plate or more effort when serving. The eye eats too but there is nothing impressive to see here. A man in this case leaves the inn hungry. If you are hungry and you have an alternative, I recommend the alternative. But all of this is just my impression and does not have to be taken over. The fish was in the pan too long and the mashed potatoes had no taste. We have seen and tasted better in other restaurants.

Rustic restaurant with correspondingly warm service & personal recommendation. Significantly more appealing than the “smooth” restaurants around it. The wide range of freshly caught fish from the Baltic Sea is particularly impressive. Gladly again. A step must be overcome for a wheelchair.

The plaice was fine. The onion fry didn't work at all. The meat was just bad... What a shame, and that on the last day of vacation. Service was ok, but we probably had the impression that the collaboration wasn't quite working. Maybe. it will work next season.

The service was initially friendly, but the situation then escalated after the wrong side dish was brought and dill was then sprinkled all over the food, even though it had been previously stated that there should be no dill on the food. After the food was complained about, we as guests were insulted and portrayed as rude and unfriendly. After we no longer wanted the food, we were charged in full and the change was also given incorrectly. We would prefer to give 0 stars.

Onion roast inedible. There were 2 pickled, prepackaged neck steaks from Lidl and Co. The fried potatoes were the only thing that filled me up. The onions mushy and inedible. The salad side dish 2 slices of cucumber and a strip of red pepper. My wife's spiced meat is also a finished product from a can for 7.90 euros. The guests at the neighboring table couldn't eat the matjes because they were also out of the packaging. Really poor for a restaurant in a fishing village.

The service was very friendly, the portions were good and the prices were comparatively cheap. However, we could have done better with the food ourselves. The green herrings were not crispy and the bacon had never even seen a piece of bacon from far away. Of course, both were still absolutely enjoyable and the draft beer was very good and served quickly.

Phew, what should I write? I haven't been this shocked in a long time and the one star is just because I have to give it one. The service was so inflexible that not even an apple spritzer with still water was possible. I don't even want to start talking about special requests for food. The children's meal should come directly with my starter. So we got everything at the same time, regardless of whether it was a starter or a main course. Of course, the special requests for food were not implemented. The "salad" on the plate was an old slice of cucumber and an old piece of pepper...why would you do something like that? The food was terrible. The onions on the roast were covered with a terrible spice powder and were inedible and the seasoned meat had cheese on it, but was not gratinated and in a disgusting sauce. When the waitress asked if it was tasty and we said no, she simply left. No solution was offered. I'm so annoyed by this food and that's where you spend your hard earned money.
