Hello dear team We were there yesterday for our mother's 70th birthday. Since the temperatures were very summery, we sat down in the restaurant and were given ice cream cards to wave and a fan for light refreshment. Jasmin welcomed us and quickly provided us with cool drinks. She was relaxed, humorous and made us feel like we were in the right place. The food came quickly and was delicious. Everyone was very satisfied with what was asked. Drinks were always served and no wish was left unfulfilled. For dessert we were allowed to go out onto the terrace where there was now shade and a nice wind cooled us down. The dessert was also very tasty and the view of the greenery made the afternoon perfect. So all in all it was a really great birthday and the crew was very committed, courteous and more than friendly. We agreed on site that another visit was definitely on the cards. A real insider tip that I'm reluctant to reveal. Great service, good food, Hamburg atmosphere.

Recommended not only for overnight guests, but especially when the neighboring Italian restaurant is closed ;) The cuisine is home-style, with room for improvement in terms of finesse, but the service is attentive and accommodates expressed taste requests as far as possible. Quantity-wise, but fair value for money! Child and dog friendly, especially on the sheltered, secluded outdoor terrace. Unfortunately, the inside is a bit tighter and old-fashioned. No water access, although adjacent to the Dove Elbe and recreational boat harbors. Unfortunately not connected to a footpath network, but there is a large parking lot behind the house. So it's always worth a detour by car or bike!

I was in the restaurant for the first time today. I visited our regular meeting at an automobile club there. Following a recommendation, I ordered the knuckle. The knuckle was so dry and hard that it was hardly edible. I told and showed this to the waiter at dinner. Unfortunately, there was no further reaction from the waiter! When I was paying, I asked him again about the food and asked if it was from the day before. “We were closed then, it was probably in the oven too long” nothing more! The boss was behind us! No response or accommodation, no apology! I won't go there again! Shameful behavior from the staff. What a shame for my regular table!

As a guest at a wedding celebration: great buffet, delicious soups (asparagus; bouillon), the finest salads, fast and not annoying service, including unofficial children's entertainment, simply fantastic!

Sat on the terrace and drank a delicious farmer's breakfast and Alster water while enjoying the sun. What more do you want.

We used one of the guest rooms (double room with private bathroom in the annex) for 4 nights at the beginning of May and were completely satisfied. However, if you are expecting a modern star hotel here, you are unfortunately in the wrong place. It should be clear that this is a family-run inn. The room and bathroom were clean. Nothing more is needed. The surroundings are quiet with a maritime flair on the Dove Elbe or a marina. The breakfast was rich and absolutely ok. The staff and the owner are very friendly and always available for an informative chat. There is a bus not far from the ferry house. Alternatively, you can reach an S-Bahn station with P&R in your own car within 10 minutes and at the Hamburg main station after just 2 stops. If we ever need accommodation in Hamburg again, the Machenberg ferry house will be our first address in the future.

I was here for the first time on Sunday with friends and was very impressed. The service is super attentive and very personable. Everything is done to make you feel comfortable. And successfully. The food was delicious, I wish I had done more... Gladly again.

We had an overnight stop here on our bike tour. The room was in the neighboring house. The people were also very nice. Since a lot of the space is rented out to fitters, you have to expect early on that a door will close a little louder. They are well-developed apartment rooms. Breakfast was served in the ferry house itself. There's nothing to complain about there either. Since the restaurant itself was closed, there was a tip for the marina. All in all, we can only recommend the Fährhaus.

We had a lovely Whitsun weekend in the harbor and will definitely be back.

We have been eating and celebrating at the Fährhaus for years. Same today. And as always it was 1a. I would like to give it 7 stars. My schnitzel made me happy, the fries were golden and crispy and the service was super friendly as always and promptly implemented my special request. I can highly recommend the Fährhaus because the price/performance ratio is also right.

We discovered this restaurant after a photo tour and we knew from the warm welcome that we could stay here. Have been here several times now and are thrilled. The food is very reasonably priced and very tasty. The ambience has an old-fashioned charm that I like. It's very cozy. So if you want to eat delicious (fish), you should plan a stop here. LG

Good home-style German cuisine. Very good in taste, nicely arranged on the plate, a portion to fill you up and at acceptable prices. The restaurant is so busy that you should always make a reservation. That alone speaks for itself. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive and are happy to fulfill even small special requests.

On March 15th, 2024, after a long time, we went to the Fährhaus Stattenberg for dinner again. The food was simply top notch from stints to plaice over over, simply 7 stars. The service was super friendly and super child-friendly, highly recommended, always happy again, hats off!

We came here for dinner. The restaurant was rather full, but there was still some space for us. Drinks arrived quickly after ordering them. The food didn’t take very long. The meat that I had was good in itself. It was accompanied by a rather bland sauce, some red cabbage which I found too sweet and two small potatoe dumplings that lacked the necessary expertise in preparation. Neither of the accompaniments really managed to enhance the meat. My partner had some kale, which apparently was okay. This is food that tastes okay, but from my point of view it is nothing special. The service was remarkably friendly!

Ehrliche Küche und absolut freundlicher Service Herzlichst Pepper Tours Hamburg

Letzte Woche zum Weihnachtsgansessen dort gewesen. Wir hatten reserviert und mussten im Nebenraum Platz nehmen, welcher leider die Atmosphäre eines übergroßen Hauswirtschaftsraums versprühte. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, das Bier wurde zweimal unter Strich und mit viel Schaum ausgeschenkt. Das Essen: Gans sehr trocken, Rotkohl war aufgewärmtes Fertigprodukt gewesen ohne Zutaten, dasselbe gilt für den Rosenkohl ( hart, trocken, teilweise braune Stellen ) Salzkartoffeln aufgewärmt, Sauce komplett versaut durch viel zuviel Wacholder. Kroketten waren okay. Dessert: auf Nachfrage gab die Bedienung an, dass es sich bei den angebotenen Waffeln um vorgebackene Ware handelte, die man dann aufgewärmt servieren würde. An dieser Stelle sei zu bemerken, dass frische Waffeln kein Hexenwerk gewesen wären. Fazit: Essen unterm Strich Katastrophe für den Preis, es wirkte wie von ungelerntem Personal zubereitet. Die 2 Sterne gelten ausnahmslos für die freundliche Bedienung, ansonsten wären es 0 von 5 gewesen. Schade, wir hatten uns auf ein leckeres Essen gefreut.

Wir verbringen dort regelmäßig unseren Unternehmerstammtisch. Das Essen ist klasse, die Bedienung top.

Wir hatten Gans für 6 Personen nach Hause geliefert bekommen. Die Gans war von außen knusprig, das Fleisch war zart und wohlschmeckend. Dazu gab es Rosenkohl, Rotkohl, Klöße und Kartoffeln sowie Soße. Nicht zu vergessen die Füllung in der Gans. Alles prima zubereitet und in der Menge wirklich ausreichend. Wir hatten ein tolles Essen. Das Zurückbringen des Geschirrs hatten wir noch zum Essen im Restaurant genutzt. Auch hier tolles Essen und wir konnten noch selbst gemachte Marmelade zu einem günstigen Preis erwerben. Gerne wieder!!!!

Die Zimmer sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wer die deutsche Küche vermisst ist hier genau richtig. Preisleistung ist top!!!

Wir waren heute auf der Durchreise von HHF Richtung OL mal in meiner alten Heimat angehalten um ehrliche einheimische Küche zu essen. Und was soll ich sagen, wir wurden nicht erfüllt. Essen legger, Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis super.

Toller Service und leckeres Essen. Hatte Pannfisch und meine Sonderwünsche wurden problemlos umgesetzt. Eisschokolade danach auch sehr lecker. Großer Parkplatz hinterm Haus. Feiern dort immer gerne Geburtstage. Schnitzel und Steak schmecken dort auch.

Wir waren hier spontan Essen, weil wir zuvor im Ikea Moorfleet waren. Wir kamen rein und würden begrüßt als ob wir uns schon zwanzig kennen und ein Teil der Familie sind! Toll, einfach nur toll! Ein Mega Service und ein tolles leckeres selbstgemachtes Essen mit großartigen frischen Produkten! Ich hatte den Rotbarsch im Bierteig! Mega lecker, Teigmantel super, Fisch war glasig und saftig. Dazu hatte ich den hausgemachten Kartoffelsalat, ein Gedicht, 1a wie bei Oma! Lecker! Ein knackiger schön angerichteter Beilagen Salat mit leckerem Dressing. Hier wird Service GROSSGESCHRIEBEN! Man schmeckt die frische der Produkte! Zudem kann man im Restaurant auch noch selbstgekochte Marmelade, Honig vom Imker und Obst von aus der Region erwerben. Ein Garant für gute Laune!

Ich war für einen beruflichen Termin in der Nähe und habe mich hier einquartiert, alles super und für Hamburger Verhältnisse ein absolut grandioses Preis/Leistungsverhältnis - ich habe direkt wieder gebucht

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel mit Gastronomie nahe Hamburg. Wir haben im Restaurant sehr gut gegessen. Über den Elberadweg, welcher am Hause vorbeigeht, sind es 20 Minuten zur Elbphilharmonie mit dem Fahrrad. Die Fahrräder können in der großen Garage abgestellt werden. Also ideal für Radtouristen. Wir können das Fährhaus nur empfehlen. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Zu den Zimmern kann ich nichts sagen. Wir gehen zum Essen dorthin. Essen und Service ist super. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Das günstige Zimmer war sauber und schön groß, die Toilette und Dusche sind bei diesem Zimmer auf dem Flur. Sehr nettes Personal bzw Chefin. Gutes Frühstück, bis 21Uhr warme Küche. Parkplatz gratis direkt am Haus. In der Nähe Bushaltestelle nach Hamurg. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt

Das Fährhaus war unser Suchenlokal zur Herbstzuchtprüfung der Kleinen Münsterländer. Wir wurden sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Auch für die Hunde wurden ,aufgrund des warmen Wetters,vom Personal Wassernäpfe aufgestellt. Der Service,Essen und Getränke waren ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder zu Ihnen. Lecker Matjes mit Bratkatoffeln gegessen

Freundliche Bedienung, gutes Essen und schönes Ambiente

Wir haben das Lokal zufällig in Google gefunden, da wir nach einer schönen Gaststätte zum späten Abendessen suchten nach langer Autofahrt und in der Nähe unsere Hotels in Billstedt nichts zusagte. Per Telefon haben wir uns vorab noch einen Tisch gesichert, da es zum Freitagabend durchaus schwierig werden kann, dachten wir uns. Bereits beim Telefonat begrüßte mich eine freundliche Dame und versicherte das wir auf jeden Fall noch essen bekommen (es war schon nach halb acht und das Lokal nur bis 21 Uhr offen). Das Fährhaus liegt sehr idyllisch, totaler Kontrast zur Gegend unseres Hotels. Angekommen wurden wir freundlich empfangen und konnten uns sogar einen Tisch in einem der Räume auswählen. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Schnell wurde auch das Essen gereicht und was soll ich sagen, es schmeckte absolut fantastisch! Selbst mein Papa, der sehr meckelig auf seine alten Tage ist, war hellauf begeistert. Wir hatten Salat und eine Portion Bratkartoffeln, Sülzfleisch und Bratkartoffeln sowie Maischolle mit Kartoffelsalat. Wir kommen gerne wieder ins als wir entdeckten, dass es auch Gastzimmer gibt, werden wir beim nächsten Hamburg-Besuch versuchen gleich hier zu übernachten.

Das Fährhaus ist für mich das beste Restaurant in dieser Ecke. Das gutbürgerliche Essen ist lecker, die Portionen gut. Und die Stint-Saison ist eines meiner Highlights. Vom tollen Personal kann sich manch einer eine „Scheibe abschneiden“.

Bislang sind wir mit der Küche immer zufrieden gewesen. Beim diesjährigen Weihnachtsessen hatten einige von uns das Putensteak mit Gemüse und Steinpilzsoße. Beim Gemüse wußten wir definitiv nicht, ob es sich um einen geschmacklosen knackigen Salat handelte oder um 'bissfestes' Gemüse. Pfeffer und Salz haben ein wenig Geschmack gebracht, aber man hat uns bestimmt bis in die letzte Ecke kauen gehört. SCHADE.

Sehr gutes Essen und freundliches Personal. Viel Platz für das wohnmobil zum parken. Habt ihr toll gemacht wir kommen gerne wieder vorbei.

Einer kleinen Annonce folgend, habe ich am Sonntag zwei Portionen Stint to go bestellt. Sie wurden in einer Thermobox mit Leihgeschirr geliefert und kamen heiss zu Hause an. Es gab dazu leckere Bratkartoffel, Salat und sogar ein Nachtisch fehlte nicht. Die Portionen waren nicht zu schaffen. Wenn man dem ganzen noch die Krone aufsetzen wollte, müssten die Fische in der Pfanne gebraten sein. Aber für 13 Euro p.Portion kann man nur zufrieden sein. Es war ein beeindruckendes Erlebnis. Toll gemacht Frau Schwormstedt. Ich komme gern wieder. Dankeschön

Das Tatenberger Fährhaus ist für uns seit 35 Jahren das Restaurant wo wir immer wieder mit der Familie zum Essen und Feiern zusammen kommen. Ob runde Geburtstage Weihnachtsessen oder 40. Hochzeitstag, goldene Hochzeit und diamantene Hochzeit. alles wird im Fährhaus gefeiert. das Essen wird von allen geschätzt, und ist immer ausgezeichnet. Die Bedienung ist in den Jahren immer nett und zuvorkommend.

Dit bedrijf is al generaties lang familie bezit en dit wordt dan ook uitgedragen. Ze beschouwen hun gasten dan ook als familie. Het eten is goed en alles is netjes onderhouden. Ook voor groepen een ideaal verblijf. Wij konden onze visboten makkelijk kwijt en er werd voor stroom gezorgd. Ons zeer vroege vertrek elke morgen was geen probleem en er stonden lunchpakketten klaar. Zeer goed geëigend voor roofvis fanaten die een of meerdere dagen in de havens van Hamburg willen vissen. Mede dank zei het Fährhaus Tatenburg een paar mooie dagen beleeft.

Im in die Jahre gekommenen Landgasthof kann man eine ehrliche deutsche Küche genießen. Unsere Krebssuppen waren leider nur lauwarm, die Kraftbrühe aber heiß wie es sein soll. Als Hauptgang hatten wir Kutterscholle - die war perfekt - großes Kompliment an die Küche - das kann so nicht jedes Haus - außerdem ein Cordon Blue - das war ebenfalls sehr gut, allerdings hatten die Pommes etwas länger frittiert werden können und süß sauren Stint mit Bratkartoffeln - lecker.

Entspannte Atmosphäre in einem gutbürgerlichem Haus. Aufmerksames Personal und gute Speisen. Gerne wieder!

Hotel Restaurant "Fahrhaus Tatenberg" is an old Family Owned establishment with a very friendly service. The rooms are partly traditionel, partly modern. The value for money is exelent. Good Breakfast Buffet. By car it's about 20 minutes to the center of Hamburg, There is public transport available. I have no experience with that. There is no WiFi. Excellent possibility for a walk or cycling.
