Wir waren am Sonntag mit 11 Personen zum Mittagessen dort. Da wir logischerweise reserviert hatten, war unser Tisch ansprechend eingedeckt. Die beiden jungen Servicemitarbeiter waren flott und freundlich. Die Getränke und Speisen wurden zügig gebracht. Wir hatten verschiedene Krüstchengerichte, auch vegane, und Burger. Die Portionen waren reichlich, auf Sonderwünsche wurde eingegangen und die Qualität war einwandfrei.

Burger und Schnitzel sehr gut. Glutenfreies Essen auch zu empfehlen. Für Hunde gibt es auch kleine Köstlichkeiten. Wir kommen wiedr

Super leckere Gerichte. Haben Schnitzel und Burger gegessen. Beides war sehr lecker. Hervorzuheben ist, dass das Burger Brötchen selbst gebacken ist.

Wir waren absolut begeistert von unserem Besuch. Der Service war unglaublich nett, aufmerksam und herzlich – man hat sich direkt willkommen gefühlt. Besonders toll fanden wir, dass es sogar eine eigene Speisekarte für Hunde gab. Das erlebt man wirklich nicht oft und zeigt, wie tierfreundlich das Lokal ist. Das Essen war frisch zubereitet, sehr lecker und trotz allem erstaunlich schnell am Tisch. Besonders begeistert waren wir vom Brotbuffet mit sechs verschiedenen selbst gemachten Dips – eine richtig tolle Idee und geschmacklich einfach hervorragend. Auch die Auswahl hat uns positiv überrascht: Es gibt viele laktosefreie, glutenfreie, vegetarische und vegane Speisen, sodass wirklich für jeden etwas dabei ist. Ein rundum gelungener Besuch – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können das Lokal absolut weiterempfehlen!

Diese Gastro und vor allen Dingen der Umstand, dass sie sich nun schon etliche Jahre im Wettbewerb behauptet, gibt mir Rätsel auf. Das Angebot der Karte ist gewöhnlich wie sein Geschmack. Selbstgebackenes Brot lässt den Wunsch nach Aldis Gebäcktruhen aufkommen. Die Servicekräfte sind jung, gebremst freundlich und lassen keine Zweifel aufkommen, das für einen Euro mehr die Stunde auch jeder andere Job in Frage käme. Das beste ist jedoch das Interieur, das die Anmutung eines Floristenladens ohne Blumen hat. Resümé: Lieber nicht!

Wir waren zu viert am 10.06.2026 in dem Lokal und hatten einen Tisch an der Eingangstür In dem Raum war es recht kühl und wir wartet fast 15 Minuten bis wir von eine junge Bedienung unsere Speisekarte bekamen die Burger karte lag zerfledert in der Speisekarte. die Bedienung nahm unsere Getränkebestellung auf. Die Getränke kamen dann nach 15 Minuten ,Leider obwohl in Klein (Bier) bestellt wurde Die Getränke in Groß gebracht. Die Essen Bestellung wurde aufgegeben, Manche Gäste wurden Bevorzugt behandelnd , nach Ca 1 Std mal eine Nachfrage was unser Essen macht Ja würde Gleich kommen , 15 Minuten Später kam dann unser Essen; Unsere Krüstchen ,aber der Burger kam dann ca. 8 Minuten Später und musste Reklamiert werden weil so nicht Bestellt , zutaten die nicht Drauf sollten waren natürlich drauf. Das geht Gar nicht!!!. Das Brotbuffet war mit Vier Dips und drei Brotsorte ausgestattet, aber die Dips waren nur noch als Reste da , Neu Auffüllen haben wir nicht Mitbekommen. Dann wollte ich noch ein Bier haben , nach ca. 20 min. mal eine nachfrage .Nach weiteren 15 Minuten immer noch nicht bekommen . dann wollten wir die Speisen einpacken lassen , dieses hat auch ewig gedauert und wir wurden wieder Ignoriert. Haben dann Bezahlt und sind gegangen. Ich finde das das nicht geht so geht man nicht mit Kunden um , Bedienung hat auf allen ebenen Versagt und uns Ignoriert , ob wir noch mal dort hingehen ? waren eigentlich dort immer zufrieden , doch die heutige Arroganz schlägt alle

Hallo zusammen, Heute das erste mal Dort gewesen, hat im Vorfeld einen Tisch reserviert und gefragt, ob es einen Spielplatz für Kinder gibt, man sagte uns am Telefon, der wäre vorhanden, leider nein.Es gab eine Schaukel ohne Schaukel und eine Wippe.Dann unser Tisch den wird reserviert hatten war schmutzig, habe direkt Bescheid gesagt, die Kellnerin war direkt angenervt und kam 20 Minuten später um ihn notdürftig zu Putzen.Das Essen hat mir auch nicht zu gesagt Schnitzel mit pulled pork mit Süßkartoffel Pommes und Dip. Schnitzel tot gebraten pulled pork zu trocken der Dip laff nicht richtig gewürzt oder garnicht.Der Burger meiner Frau war auch nicht der Burner, Fleisch zu trocken, unsere Tochter hatte 2 kleine Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln, Schnitzel auch hier tot gebraten Bratkartoffeln kein gewürzt dran.Kommen wird zum Brotbuffet, Brot nicht frisch zu trocken, Dips können mehr pepp vertragen.Jetzt kommen wir zu einem Punkt, da hört wirklich alles bei mir auf, die Toiletten, Herrentoilette total dreckig, auf der einen Toilette hatte wohl jemand Durchfall der nicht weggemacht wurde, einfach nur ekelhaft. Die pissoirs alle voll mit Urin nicht sauber gemacht und das schon länger, Waschbecken verkalkt dreckig.Deswegen eine klare nicht empfehlung von uns, eigentlich unzumutbar.Fazit einmal und nie wieder.Verstehe garnicht die Positiven Rezession.

Es war Mal nett dort. Heute habe ich 1½ Stunden nach der Bestellung gefragt, wann wir das Essen bekommen. Nur Schulterzucken gesehen. Schade um den Abend. und Schade um das Restaurant. Ich war es das letzte mal dort. Wenn es ginge in allen Bereichen 0 Punkte.

Sehr gut und ausreichendes Frühstücksbuffet.

Die Räumlichkeiten ähneln eher einem Fastfood-/Raststättenstop als einem Restaurant. Der Service war nett, aber überfordert Das Essen war gut, die veganen Speisen sehr lecker, ebenso das Brotbuffet, leider nur lieblos in der Ecke platziert, dem Ganzen wird das so nicht gerecht. Die Brote waren alle sehr lecker, frisch gebacken, die Dips geschmacklich super .

Toller alter Biergarten Leckere Bürger und auch die "Familienplatten" sind immer wieder sehr gut.

Wir waren begeistert, das Essen war super. Ich habe Zöliakie und bin so froh, dass es glutenfreies Esssen gab. Mein Hamburger war sehr lecker und die Pommes auch. Alles schmeckt so toll, weil es hausgemacht ist. Mein Mann ist Chef Koch und war sehr begeistert. Wir kommen immer gerne wieder.

Es werden fast alle Gericht als glutenfreie Variante angebote und laktosefrei scheint eh Standard zu sein! Das ist wirklich toll! Leider scheitert eine bessere Bewertung an dem Service und der Ambiente. Die Bedienungen sind durchaus flott, aber von der Bestellung unseres Essens mit 4 Personen bis zum Servieren sind fast 1,5 h vergangen. Als wir nach ca. 1h mal nachgefragt haben, hieß es, dass es gleich fertig wäre. Leider hat es dann noch einmal fast 30min gedauert. Und dabei waren nur ca. 60% der Tische besetzt. Auch das kostenlose Brotbuffet mit verschiedenen Broten und Aufstrichen kann die Zeit nicht kurzweiliger machen, da schon bei unserer Ankunft so gut wie kein Aufstrich mehr da war und auch die gesamte Zeit bis zu unserer Abfahrt nach über 2 h kein einziges Mal aufgefüllt wurde. Zusätzlich ist der Gastraum gefühlt nur auf ca. 18 Grad geheizt und die Heizkörper laufen bei knapp 0 Grad Außentemperatur nur mit ca. 30-40 Grad Vorlauf, was für einen so großen -zugegebenermaßen ganz gemütlich eingerichtetem - Gastraum ohne Fußbodenheizung niemals ausreichen kann. Das Ziegenkrüstchen kann ich nicht empfehlen, da es ohne jede Sauce doch sehr trocken ist. Das Krüstchen (Schnitzel) war für meinen Geschmack zu lange gebraten und dadurch eh etwas trocken. Als Pilzkrüstchen war es deutlich angenehmer und saftiger. Die Portionen waren allesamt reichlich. Der Hauptspeisensalat, den wir als Vorspeise für mehrere Personen hatten, war zwar mit reichlich Ziegenkäse garniert, allerdings war der grüne Salat sehr knapp bemessen! Geschmacklich aber sehr gut!

Wir haben dort schon öfters gegessen und sind einfach nur begeistert. Man wird richtig satt und es schmeckt einfach nur gut. Die Variationen der einzelnen Gerichte in Normal, Veggie, Vegan oder Glutenfrei sind beispiellos. Selbst ein Hund bekommt dort eine Art von Speisekarte. Das Personal super nett. Welches Restaurant biete all diese Vielfältigt an. Ich kenn keines.

In dem Raum war es recht kühl und wir wartet fast 30 Minuten bis eine junge Bedienung unsere Getränkebestellung aufnahm. Leider mussten wir trotz der geringen Auslastung über eine Stunde warten um unsere Bestellung aufgeben zu können. Das angepriesene Brotbuffet war mit zwei Dips und einer Brotsorte ausgestattet, entgegen der Auswahl die schriftlich in der Karte angekündigt wird. Nachdem wir dort nicht wirklich glücklich geworden sind kam dann nach gut 35 Minuten unser Essen. Die Burger sehr groß und reichlich belegt. Geschmacklich war das Essen ok. Sowohl die Pommes als auch der Burger waren sehr fettig.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal da und sind wirklich sehr zufrieden. Angefangen mit der Option für eine Brotzeit vorab bis zur leckeren Vorspeise bis zum Hauptmenü wirklich perfekt. Ein wirklich schönes Restaurant mit einer schönen Karte. Allerdings etwas unaufmerksam im Service. Die Essenskarten waren teilweise mit Zusätzlicher Burgerkarte ausgestattet, teilweise nicht, dann mit unterschiedlichen Preisen auf den Burgerkarten, das Brotbuffet wurde erst aufgefüllt, nachdem der Service darauf aufmerksam gemacht wurde das es leer ist. Im großen und ganzen wirklich ein tolles lokal und das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker. Ein sehr junges Team, dem man sicherlich ein paar Eingeständnisse machen muss das es nicht immer ganz rund läuft. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Das für vier Personen bestellte Essen an Heiligabend war mengenmäßig deutlich zu wenig. Besonders ärgerlich war aber der Umgang mit der Kritik: Die Inhaber zeigten keinerlei Einsicht, nahmen weder gutgemeinte Verbesserungsvorschläge an noch gingen sie konstruktiv auf die Rückmeldung ein, sondern widersprachen stattdessen. So stellt man sich Kundenservice nicht vor.

Update in 2025 Unfortunately, it's clear that the host isn't interested in criticism. And unfortunately, something very unpleasant and, unfortunately, not pleasant happened to us as allergy sufferers. We ordered two dishes (identical except for one small change) and one of them had to be lactose-free. At the table, we were determined to bite into them and realized at the last minute that the plates might have been swapped, so we asked. Unfortunately, the staff themselves were at a loss and unsure and had to ask the kitchen (why don't I mark plates with allergy-friendly ingredients correctly?!). If we hadn't noticed (visually) that the swap had been made, one of us would have been home with symptoms for two days. Sorry, that's unacceptable! Especially since they advertise it. Unfortunately, the waiter didn't come to the table, and someone else paid the bill. I would have liked to say that the food was good, but this mistake simply cannot be allowed to happen! The waitress's only response was, "I'm confused now, too!" - no apology, nothing. Sad! Maybe it's of interest. Incidentally, a different seating arrangement for tables for two would really be nicer. There were three of us for two people, and you sit so close together that you can't really have a conversation. All three couples were visibly uncomfortable, and just to fill the place (the neighboring room only had two people without a reservation) is simply not nice. ___________________________________________________ We were there for the first time recently. A mixed experience and result. Overall impression was good, but there were a few minor drawbacks. The tables for two people are very close together and close to the other tables for two people, and also directly in front of the counter, so the staff are constantly moving back and forth, the coffee machine is noisy, etc. We found this completely unsuitable. It was very cold at the back of the counter, and the noise from the counter area was unpleasant. Therefore, the ambience lost points for us. After we had chosen our food, we were told that the one we had chosen was sold out today. Well, okay (we were there at 5 p.m., when the restaurant opened) - they could have told us that that particular burger wasn't available today when we handed over the menu, just a little tip. We were very satisfied with the burgers we ordered. Truly delicious, very nicely presented. We swapped the fries for fried fries and the truffle version. Unfortunately, everything was very flavorful; plain fries or sweet potato fries would have been sufficient, both in terms of quantity and taste, as it was simply too much. Everything on its own was perfect, but together it was just too many intense flavors. It would also be great if the waiter could tell us that regular fries are nice to neutralize the flavors ;9 but tastes differ here, too; we would eat the burgers again and NOT make a substitution ;) What's somehow incongruous with the concept of fries and burgers is the bread beforehand. At least that's really great on its own, as are the dips, but it somehow doesn't match the main attraction of the burgers and crusts, but maybe that's very subjective. The taste – we tried three breads and a few dips – was good. Visually, the burgers and fries were well presented and in no way inferior to the pictures offered online. The taste was also great. One negative point is the hollandaise sauce with the chili fries: it was very, very rich and simply not homemade. To be honest, we thought that was a no-go for the cuisine, which is advertised somewhat differently. We would come back again. Overall, it was delicious; some things weren't perfect, but maybe the guest is also interested in constructive criticism. The burgers were amazing!!!! The fries were amazing on their own, too, and a platter of fries is certainly amazing. Next time, we'll have burgers with plain, simple fries.

The service was great. The food was average. I had a cheddar cheeseburger… I'm not entirely sure what hollandaise sauce was doing on it. The urinals, judging by appearances (we were there at 5:30 pm, not at the end of the shift), hadn't been cleaned for days or even weeks. If you want to pay by card, it's only debit cards! In my opinion, that's outdated. The last sentence didn't influence the rating in any way.

The three of us – my wife, our son, and I – dined at the Elmenhorster Mühle and were absolutely delighted. We had a schnitzel and a burger, both dishes were incredibly delicious and freshly prepared. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. We'd especially like to commend our server, Sophie. She was extremely professional, polite, and checked on us regularly without being intrusive. She also knew the menu very well and was able to offer expert advice. Fantastic service! We were completely satisfied and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

The food and the selection are unbeatable. Almost all dishes are vegetarian and/or vegan. Everything tastes really good, too. The service on site is always very friendly. Pre-ordering for pickup is also seamless. Always well packaged and ready on time. The price/performance ratio is absolutely reasonable for such good quality. We love the food and have become regular customers. Keep up the good work; there's nothing to complain about.

We wanted to eat at the Elmenhorster Mühle today because both the menu and the ambiance appealed to us. The service was extremely unfriendly, unprofessional, stressed, and unaccommodating. We were concerned about the tone, not the service itself, both in the "greeting" and in the "request" to return the menu to the next table after use. We left before our drinks arrived.

The two stars are for the effort of the apparently homemade margarine with herbs. Unfortunately, it's too salty. The food is completely convenience food, as can be seen from the photos on the menu. The service was nevertheless very friendly.

Highly recommended! We've been to the Elmenhorster Mühle in Essen several times now – and we've been impressed every time! No matter what we ordered, the quality was consistently excellent. We'd especially like to highlight the burgers: They are by far the best we've had in a long time – fresh, juicy, and delicious. A real insider tip for all burger fans! The prices were also very reasonable. The bread buffet is also highly recommended.

A fantastic restaurant with a cozy beer garden and very attentive staff. We visited for the first time and were thrilled with the vegan selection. Even my lactose-intolerant friend could easily enjoy whatever he wanted. Simply unique and fantastic 😊 Dogs are also catered for with their own "menu." We'll definitely be back.

We went without a reservation. Despite initially declining, we finally got a seat outside in the beautiful beer garden. The food was delicious, including the salad. I ordered a small portion from the box, which was perfectly adequate for me. The service was excellent, not intrusive, but always there and very friendly. We'd be happy to come back.

Last weekend, five of us visited. A green oasis of a beer garden and delicious burgers awaited us. They also cater to people with food intolerances, and vegetarian or vegan options are available for those who prefer. The service was refreshingly friendly and personable. Card payments are accepted, and reservations by phone are very useful. I would definitely come back.

Good food, friendly service, and reasonable prices! Two comments, however: - The doorbell is very annoying/annoying over time. Especially when someone stands in the doorway and the bell rings incessantly. - The bread station is a great idea. Unfortunately, due to the number of visitors, it poses hygiene problems. For example, during our visit, the bread was grabbed with hands while being cut, or guests at the neighboring table brought an entire bowl of dip to their table, dipped the bread they had taken a bite of into the dip, and then put the half-full bowl back. This urgently needs to be monitored more closely...

We had to wait over 35 minutes for our drinks. The food arrived after 1.5 hours. The tables were dirty, and many things had been forgotten... We wouldn't visit the restaurant or the beer garden again.

A surprisingly large selection of vegan options! They even served a vegan fried egg with the schnitzel. I've actually never seen a fried egg anywhere else, and it was really good! We were in the area quite by chance and saw that Happy Cow had vegan options. We were totally surprised by the huge selection! We will definitely be back, even though we live a bit farther away.

We're delighted that meat-free dishes are offered, BUT the price increases are an absolute NO-GO! When the bill arrived, we had to have them explained to us several times and went home incredulous at the fact that we had to pay a disproportionately high price for vegan alternatives! Our suggestion: Print the price increase, which we consider outrageous, in bold on the menu, or better yet: Just leave it alone, because there's no reason for it! Then we'll definitely visit this restaurant again with its very friendly staff and quaint atmosphere...

This was our first time here for breakfast and we were not disappointed. The reservation was quick and easy, and they added something to the buffet for vegans and even prepared it fresh. The staff was really friendly, and we'll definitely be back!

Our visit to the Elmenhorster Mill was a complete success. We became curious through a recommendation on Facebook and were not disappointed when we saw the menu - almost all dishes were also available as vegan options upon request. For the starter we chose the vegan beef broth with Maultaschen and vegetables. The main course was a Rösti burger with fries and a vegan schnitzel and croquettes gratinated with cheese. With two starters, main courses and drinks we were still under €60. There was also a bread bar where you can help yourself for an additional €10 - home-baked bread with 4 spreads, which were also vegan. We didn't use it, but it looked very good. The staff was super nice and the restaurant was nicely decorated. We'll definitely be back. 💚

Very nice location and cozy furnishings. There is also a beautiful beer garden, which is ideal when the weather is good. Dogs are also very welcome here. We were there for both burgers and breakfast. Very friendly and courteous service, the food was delicious and the boss is also very concerned about the well-being of the guests. For breakfast there is everything (e.g. salmon, homemade bread, fresh individual omelettes and plenty of other delicious things) that makes a good breakfast. I can happily recommend the restaurant. However, a timely reservation definitely makes sense 😉.

Great, cozy restaurant. We went there for the first time today for brunch. Huge selection and there is also a lot for vegans. Very nice staff, good service and great ambience. We all enjoyed it and we will come back again. Very fair price.

The food is delicious and just right if you have food intolerances or are vegan/vegetarian. The menu isn't huge and is limited to burgers, schnitzel (schnitzel) and salad - but the kitchen can do what's on it really well! The staff was super nice, attentive and patiently asked about any special features so as not to forget anything. The facility and beer garden itself are very nice, but the cleanliness (tables, chairs, toilets!!!) and the order outside (lots of old, unused chairs, tarpaulins and "stuff" that is standing around and dirty) could definitely be improved! There is a playground (swings, seesaw) but unfortunately not very inviting.

We had booked a table for 12 people. The beer garden was packed. Too few staff, too few glasses!!!! After 15 minutes and after asking in advance, we finally placed our orders (drinks and food at the same time). The drinks were served sporadically and the two large beers we ordered were still not with us after 55 minutes! If requested, serving the food should take at least another 30 minutes. The absolute rip-off, based only on merit! I left this unprofessional and dubious place with my wife. The guests who stayed also reported increasingly chaotic conditions afterwards. Never, never, never again!!!!!!! (not worth a star at all!!!!!!)

I've been there several times and so far have had a delicious selection of interestingly put together burgers and there is a nice bread buffet with spreads for the waiting time after ordering - everything baked and freshly prepared!

Had dinner today with 4 people. The attached beer garden made a cozy impression, as the weather was unstable, we sat inside. It was clean and well maintained. The women's toilet could be renovated because it smells like damp walls and a companion claims to have discovered mold. The bread bar with dips was great, the different breads were fresh and varied and the dips were also very tasty. The burgers and cauliflower wings, as well as the side salads were very tasty and all were sufficiently filling. The only thing that didn't convince me was the Mühlen Krüstchen with fried potatoes. The potatoes could have used some color and the schnitzel was dry and tasted average. The fried egg on the crust was perfect The truffle burger was very tasty and the meat was well seasoned. We found it positive that there were also vegetarian and vegan dishes and that meat-free alternatives were also offered for the burgers. The service staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful.

Everything is represented for vegetarians and beefeaters. Good choice. Service is friendly and attentive. Kisses and burgers are very good.

Because of the nice weather, we sat down outside in the beer garden. We first wanted to sit at a table for 4 (there were two of us + dog), then we had to sit at a table for 2 (it was almost in the bush) because the table was supposedly reserved (there was no sign or anything else to be seen. Table decorations and the table could also be cleaned and the beer garden was placed on the table. The burgers were good, but there was more sour cream on the foil than it would have been on the potato The sour cream was served separately in a bowl. Service was difficult, but it was better. Where we went, the table for four that was supposed to be reserved was still free, as were other tables.

AMBIENCE UNFORTUNATELY LOVELY / QUALITY QUESTIONABLE / ERRORS SHOULD CUSTOMERS BE CHARGED?! We were here today on a recommendation and were unfortunately very disappointed. The food was okay, but we honestly wondered if we were part of the hidden camera. There are 3 categories of farce, enjoy reading: Category 1: Things we can overlook ———————————————————— 1. The waitresses had to come several times because they hadn't written down our order. 2. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks - we had to ask for the mayo. It was brought to the wrong table at first because “they looked so similar.” 3. As a starter we were brought a different dish than what was ordered. 4. When a Radler was ordered, the waitress asked which beer was wanted and suggested a dark beer...?! 5. 5 minutes after we ordered we were told this burger was out, then asked if we wanted another one. Were we offered a menu for this? No, we had to ask about that. Category 2: Things that question the quality of the restaurant ———————————————————— 1. We ordered wine with ICE! was brought - without having ordered this. When this was criticized, the answer was “Yes, it wasn’t cold enough”. We were there at 7pm!!! in the restaurant. How can it be that there is no cold wine at this hour? Isn't there a refrigerator where you can chill wine early?! Besides, the most you could have served was the ice cream with the note. Simply questionable. Especially for €5.30… 2. Our table still had sticky marks from previous guests, the unlit decorative candle was the burial site of a fly and in the vase on the table a plastic flower and a dried branch were fighting over who would survive longer. 3. The salad served came with several brown spots - both on the starter and in the burger. 4. The advertised corn and beans were missing from the pulled pork burger. The maple burger had pickled peppers from a jar instead of “roasted peppers” as described. There was also supposed to be almonds (a noble idea) - but we were told “no, we won’t put them on it anyway”. It's exciting that there are so many things on the menu that aren't even there... where do they go? And then also charge €16-18 for it? FINALLY THE CORONATION: ———————————————— After we rejected the starter, it was offered to us again and told “otherwise it would have to be thrown away”. Unfortunately, none of us like goat cheese, so we declined. A few minutes later the waitress came and informed us that she would still charge us for the appetizer. Literally, “I’ll charge them anyway.” I almost laughed because I haven't seen something so bold in a long time. Important information: We ordered mozzarella onion rings and were brought goat cheese with honey. How one thing became the other is still beyond me. We made it clear that we will not pay for the starter and under such circumstances asked the waitress to get the bill ready and asked to speak to the boss. A short time later the waitress came back and said that it was her mistake and that she wouldn't charge anything and asked if we would still take our food since it was almost ready. The boss had probably decided that a conversation wasn't necessary. We felt sorry for the waitress as she seemed really under pressure and we decided to stay. But such behavior is really impossible. We are curious to see if we get a response to this review. At the moment there is no way anything would bring us back to this restaurant.

Today we have the new Best of Fries record tried five. We really enjoyed all the variants. Everyone had their favorite. Mine were the Honey Fries. We can only recommend it. TOP.

Were here again on June 30, 2024 and everything is newly renovated. Everything is bright and friendly, new tables and chairs. The food was again super tasty. The furnishings are a bit dated. There were 5 of us and a table was reserved for us in one go. It was very tight. Service was friendly and very nice. The food was good to very good. According to my friend, the tomato soup was the best he has ever eaten. My starter (goat cheese with honey and walnuts) was very tasty. Everyone was very happy with the burgers they ordered. The dessert was another highlight (chocolate cake, I think something with caramel...) Five stars per se, deducted because of the setup and it took a bit of a long time in everything. But that's about it.

I reserved a table for two people and received confirmation. On site we got a 'cat table' in a back room next to the toilet. A mini room with four tables for two. What a shame with a reservation, we left. A pity...

Small but nice! The house looks very inconspicuous from the front. But if you then go right through the driveway/entrance into the beer garden, a very romantic atmosphere awaits you. The beer garden is surrounded by trees. This area offers a great place to cool off in the shade on hot days. I had lemonade to drink. I really enjoyed this. The first lemonade that wasn't overly sugary, but slightly sour and very refreshing. I had the crust with white and green asparagus, hollandaise sauce and fries. What can I say, the food also tastes very good. Unfortunately the portion was so big that I didn't manage to eat it all. As a starter there was a mixed salad and you could also help yourself to the homemade bread in the restaurant. All the spreads also tasted good. The inside of the restaurant is very lovingly and stylishly furnished. Everything was very clean. There is also a menu for four-legged friends and they are very welcome. It's a shame I don't live nearby. It would be my number 1 beer garden choice.

This was our first time eating here and it was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and friendly and the food was excellent. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back more often.

We went there today with a short-term reservation to eat asparagus schnitzel. This was the best vegan asparagus schnitzel with hollandaise sauce and cheese alternative that I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The service was also great. The girls were always smiling and very friendly. This certainly won't be our last visit.

The food was (is) good. Service girls good but the attention leaves a lot to be desired. The old lady, presumably the boss, is also very inattentive and would rather chatter away in private than look at the half-cleared tables with customers. It is very cold which definitely doesn't invite you to stay longer, but you have to because you have to wait forever to pay (attention)

Well, the Elmenhorster Mill in Waltrop was really disappointing. The beer was completely stale and came to the table without foam. The water bottle even had mold on the label. We were really fed up and moved on to a better shop. Hopefully management will take care of such problems. Plus, it was super cold there and the atmosphere didn't feel like a restaurant at all - more like a bistro. All in all, the experience wasn't exactly what you'd expect from a cozy restaurant.
