Elenas Restaurant in Ulm

Leider hat mich die Vorspeise sehr enttäuscht. Für 9 € habe ich einen Vorspeisenteller bestellt und dafür lediglich ein paar Oliven, Peperoni und zwei kleine Stücke Käse erhalten. Brot oder andere Beilagen gab es nicht dazu, was ich für den Preis sehr mager finde. Auch der Salat konnte leider nicht überzeugen. Er wirkte nicht mehr frisch, schmeckte bitter und war für mich kaum genießbar. Das Hauptgericht hingegen war das komplette Gegenteil: sehr schmackhaft, gut zubereitet und die Portion war wirklich großzügig. Hier gibt es nichts zu meckern. Mein Eindruck ist, dass die Küche bei den Hauptgerichten einen sehr guten Job macht. Wenn das Restaurant die Qualität und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bei den Vorspeisen und Beilagen verbessert, könnte es ein wirklich hervorragendes griechisches Restaurant sein.

Service war freundlich. Leider konnte man nicht mit Karte zahlen. Essen war frisch und ausreichend. Eigentlich auch gut zubereitet und Gyros war saftig. Hätte jedoch etwas kräftiger gewürzt sein dürfen. Aber dafür steht ja auch Salz und Pfeffer auf dem Tisch. Für eine Sportlerheim Gastro nett eingerichtet.

Alles in allem waren wir hier zufrieden. Das Essen hätte etwas heißer sein können. Aber Qualität und Preis- Leistung stimmten. Von der Bushaltestelle ein paar wenige Schritte entfernt. Parkplätze vorhanden.

Wir waren schon in vielen Restaurants, nicht nur in Deutschland, aber keines kann sich mit diesem vergleichen. Neben der ausgezeichneten Speisekarte und der großen Auswahl an Getränken möchte ich besonders die familiäre Atmosphäre hervorheben. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich, herzlich und aufmerksam. Man kommt immer wieder gerne hierher zurück 🤗🥰

Wir haben das Essen für eine größere Feier mit etwa 70 Personen abgeholt und waren absolut begeistert. Alles war sehr lecker, die Portionen großzügig und jedes Gericht frisch, aromatisch und wirklich schmackhaft. Besonders gut angekommen sind das Gyros in Metaxa sauce, Stifado, Moussaka und Pastitio. Auch die Beilagen wie Ofengemüse, Tomatenreis und Rosmarinkartoffeln waren perfekt zubereitet und haben das Menü wunderbar ergänzt. Die Abholung lief reibungslos, alles war gut vorbereitet und warm verpackt. Unsere Gäste waren begeistert und wir ebenfalls. Sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis Gerne wieder

Wir waren nur auf der Durchreise und hatten Hunger. Es war alles perfekt, von Essen, über Service bis hin zum Ambiente. Wenn wir nicht 200km entfernt wohnen würden, kämen wir auf jeden Fall wieder hier her. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Das Personal ist freundlich und das Ambiente sehr ansprechend. Auch die Preise sind gut für die großen Portionen. Nur leider ist das Essen selbst nicht der Hit. Zum 2. Mal war das Gyros fett und gar nicht knusprig, der Reis geschmacklos und das Essen insgesamt lauwarm.

We almost walked past it. It's set back a bit. Nice, modern interior. I would have liked a bit more Greek decor. Friendly staff, who were happy to provide more drinks. Greek music played in the background. We had the trilogy for starters: chicken with Metaxa sauce and the lamb kebab. Everything was delicious. We were impressed by the taste. If we lived here, we would eat here more often.

Our absolute favorite Greek restaurant in Ulm/Neu-Ulm. Good quality, beautifully presented, and delicious. What more could you want?

Unfortunately, it wasn't my cup of tea... The typical farmer's salad I'm used to with my gyro is only available for a 3 euro surcharge... there was a small mixed salad with yogurt sauce on the side... :( The typical tomato rice was only available with the gyro upon request. There was no free ouzo at the end either... That's typical for me, too; it's a shame you apparently have to ask for it to get it for free. The food was otherwise quite tasty. It was a Friday and the restaurant was very loud... Conversations were only possible with the neighbors and across the street. So, unfortunately, not worth a visit for me again.

Very good! The staff are super friendly, funny, and always in a good mood. The food is absolutely delicious. Always beautifully presented. The decor in the restaurant is also very nice. You can have great parties and have lovely evenings. We always enjoy coming here.

We spontaneously decided to stop by for a quick bite to eat at 8:40 p.m. on a Friday night while passing through. The advertised opening time was 11 p.m. When we asked if they had room for two, the only response we got was a curt "the kitchen is closing." We weren't even offered a cold selection. Unfortunately, that's a no-go on a Friday night and at the advertised opening time.

We were here on a Saturday evening. Reservations are required, and parking is available nearby. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly. It was a shame that we all ended up sitting with empty glasses and weren't even asked if we wanted another drink. . . The ambiance was lovely, with creative decor.

We wanted to celebrate a birthday there as a family with three generations and had reserved a table. Unfortunately, we were greeted so unfriendly and arrogantly that we spontaneously decided to leave the restaurant before we even ordered our food and spend the evening elsewhere.

If you're expecting quality food, this is the wrong place for you. What you can realistically expect is a ready-made salad with ready-made dressing from a discount store. It's more like "fast food" cuisine, which has nothing to do with restaurant quality.

A true hidden gem in Ulm! Top-notch Greek food at a great price. The restaurant is tucked away along the water. The atmosphere is great, and the staff is very helpful.

We celebrated our daughter's confirmation at the restaurant. Unfortunately, despite prior arrangements, no decorations were prepared outside – no tablecloth, no decorations. When we asked, the manager simply said, "We can't do that." Without explanation or suggested solutions – that was very disappointing on such a special day. The service, however, was very friendly and attentive. The food was fine. Perhaps okay for a casual gathering, but unfortunately not recommended for important celebrations.

We spontaneously arrived that evening without a reservation. When we arrived, we had already seen a larger group, but still wanted to ask if a table for two was available. The waiters were rather unfriendly. Instead of simply saying honestly that it was bad at the moment and that there was limited space, they spoke to each other in Greek, and it was clear from their facial expressions and gestures that we weren't welcome. We were very rudely directed to a table outside, and here, too, they rolled their eyes several times. We ordered everything together relatively quickly. We realized that they were desperate to "get rid of us." There was no service at all. If they had stated from the beginning that they didn't have a table, it wouldn't have been a problem. And we weren't the only ones who had such an incident; a few guests after us, who also hadn't reserved, were also treated rather unfriendly. The food itself was good, but it was only served lukewarm. We won't be coming again.

We were guests on Saturday evening, or rather, we didn't feel like guests. Apparently, everything was reserved. If so, it was only for an hour at a poorly located table, without sun protection in about 27 degrees. There were still plenty of other tables available by the time we left. We understand that reservations take priority. But with a little goodwill, another solution could have been found for an hour. Normally, we would have left, but it was on our way home. Conclusion: not recommended when the restaurant is at capacity. Some restaurant owners have only themselves to blame when, during bad times, no more guests come and they eventually have to close.

The food was delicious and the portions were decent. Our table wasn't the best, being right by the door, but since we didn't have a reservation, it was perfectly fine.

The food was good. A few things were forgotten when ordering (the change of order wasn't taken into account, and the appetizer wasn't even brought). After the first few drinks, we were only asked once during the evening if we wanted anything else, and at the end, we didn't get the usual obligatory ouzo.

We were guests in the restaurant last Saturday evening. We had reserved a table for six people at 8 p.m. When we entered the restaurant it was very loud. We sat down and ordered. Unfortunately, a conversation between six people was not possible. You could only talk to the person next to you or the person opposite you. Three family celebrations were attended there. But the highlight was that at 9:30 p.m., we hadn't even finished our food, the party lights and party music started. This evening was a disappointment for us. We only get together every few months and after almost a week I'm still annoyed about what we had to experience there. I have nothing against partying and having fun. I was in a restaurant not a club. You should have told me what to expect when making the reservation. Then we would certainly have chosen another restaurant because we wanted to eat in peace and chat. What remained was a bill of almost €300.00 and a not so nice experience. This wasn't my first time as a guest. But unlike the other visits, this time it was very unpleasant.

The walk from the RV site to Elena was more than worth it, very good food and a nice location!

Update to owner's response: In the menu there is the dish Kritharaki (rice noodles with metaxa sauce) to which the "noodles" refers. In fact, the Creta plate was meant. But you don't see any liver in the description online. Unfortunately, the correct naming of the dishes does not change the rating. You shouldn't read sarcasm into it... Then the palates of real guests, which we obviously weren't according to them, are used to something different than ours. The fact remains for us, it was simply not a pleasure as described below, since we can and were able to draw comparisons, especially in our region, to Greek restaurants over which Dionysus holds his hand, sorry. An absolute disappointment... There were two of us eating. There was the pasta with metaxa sauce and the grilled plate with gyros and liver. The food came quickly and that was also the positive thing about the visit. The noodles were barely al dente and the sauce was so weak that you could only imagine the Metaxa. I know this better from our regular Greeks at home. Keyword better, the liver was endlessly tough and the gyros was endlessly mushy. Luckily for the price, only a handful. Side dishes, yes, went well with rice and chips. All in all just a better snack bar with higher prices. Where was the passion on the kitchen day? Olympus has probably turned its back. Sorry once and never again. I'm just wondering where all the 5 star ratings come from...

It's better not to go there with a dog. Despite reservations, we were supposed to sit at a table right in the entrance area and our dog would be in the way of all guests. It wasn't even necessary to explain ourselves, we were directed to the table with a nod from 5m away. Of course we immediately turned around.

A restaurant you always have to visit... The staff are all very polite and accommodating... They adapt to each guest and that's what I call professionalism... My hard-working colleagues and I have been visiting this restaurant for years... and it is always a wonderful and warm one Welcome .... I can't understand the negative reviews, but no one can please these customers... no matter where they are... I highly praise the boss and the entire team, from the kitchen to the service staff... We enjoyed the large and typical Greek dishes in a cozy atmosphere. The highlight for me were the garlic fries, where they didn't skimp on the garlic. The gyro was buttery soft.

Food was delicious, service still has room for improvement in every respect. What I personally find really terrible is that you have to go behind the counter to pay and you can't pay at the table, which makes the whole thing very uncomfortable.

One of the most beautiful restaurants in Ulm and the surrounding area, either to start the day great or to end it brilliantly with delicious meals. 😘

I can only warmly recommend Elena's. Great atmosphere. Very good and high quality delicious food. The boss himself is a great guy and we had a really nice evening. Finally a restaurant where my wife, as a vegetarian, could choose from several dishes! Food excellent quality. The kitchen has a team of specialists who can replace each other! The price is reasonable. You feel very comfortable in the atmosphere of the restaurant! It was delicious and we felt good! Parked right in front of the restaurant! Is barrier-free!

We were at Elena's for the first time today and will definitely be back. During the warm welcome, we were informed that the team had to be reorganized today due to illness. That didn't detract from the food or the service. We enjoyed it very much! The children were served first, everything went very quickly overall... and the quality was top notch! Definitely a recommendation!

Conveniently located in Neu-Ulm, easy to reach on foot, by car, or by bike. Cozy, warm atmosphere, no smell of food. Pretty Christmas decorations. Delicious, well-seasoned food.

I can't say anything positive or negative about the food, service, or ambiance. I made a reservation online and received a confirmation by email. Then I wanted to call a few days later to make sure everything went smoothly, as it was a meal with work colleagues. I was very rudely informed on the phone that my reservation was no longer valid and there were no more appointments available. Then they simply hung up without an apology, not a single word of regret. Rating: not recommended!

This was our second time there and unfortunately we were not treated courteously by the staff or the boss. Actually the food and service were good the first time. We made reservations online for the evening in the afternoon, but did not receive a confirmation until the booked time. Nevertheless we went. When we arrived we were told that reservations were not possible online and that getting a table on Saturday was also impossible. We were turned away very rudely and simply left standing in the conversation. I don't understand why online booking is offered if you can't manage it. Very unfortunate and unfortunately quite unprofessional.

Maybe a bit exaggerated for some, but we really liked it in this restaurant. We came especially once from Memmingen and Stuttgart. We definitely don't regret a minute we spent there. Very good food. Stopped here for a short time. Everything from salad to grilled dishes was ordered. The dishes were very tasty and good. Prices a bit high. Dogs allowed. Music very very loud. Staff hostile but not very attentive. Long waiting time. Nevertheless we would come back.

Yesterday we were here with 10 people and celebrated my birthday. It was worth driving from Bretten to Ulm to eat. I only celebrate birthdays in Ulm. Photos will come later
