The restaurant is beautifully located. The servers are friendly and prompt. You can eat well there without any problems. Minor criticisms: the garden could be more beautifully landscaped, with some leaves being cleared, the fountain being sanded, and the food could be a bit more creative and the craftsmanship could be improved. But all in all, it's recommended, even for larger groups.

Beautiful restaurant with a fantastic garden setting. The dining room, tables, and chairs are very well-maintained and clean. The garden is beautifully landscaped. The atmosphere is pleasant. The service is attentive and friendly. Drinks are plentiful. Unfortunately, the Prosecco was much too warm 🥵 and therefore lacked flavor. The food was plentiful and generously presented. All 12 guests thoroughly enjoyed it. Therefore, it gets 5 stars ⭐️😅. Thank you to the whole team 💐

Tolle Lage direkt an der Elbe mit sehr schönem Gästegarten. Das Personal ist klasse, die gastronomische Leistung sehr gut. Das Preisniveau ist nach Corona leider überdurchschnittlich angestiegen, sodass wir nicht mehr so oft hingehen, wie früher.

Room 1 was a disgrace. Renovated in the early 1990s. The wallpaper was stained, the floor was covered in hair, the mattresses were extremely worn, the furniture was broken, and the bathroom door was bulging. An absolute disgrace for the price of €150 per night including breakfast. I complained to reception and then again by email. There was never a response. The food was okay, but nothing more. The service was reservedly friendly.

Leider nicht so gut. Beim Abendessen enthielt die Vorspeise weniges zusammengepanschtes gummiartiges Gemüse, garniert mit einem welken Salatblatt. Hauptgericht Leber: 2,5 cm dickgeschnitten mit diversen Sehnen, Kartoffelstampf, mit Soße überdeckten Teller. Der Kellner erklärte uns: so isst man in Sachsen. Wir gaben es zurück und baten um dünnergeschnitten. Leider ohne Erfolg. Das Zimmer müsste einmal grundgereinigt werden, ganz besonders im Badezimmer die Kacheln an der Wand zum Waschbecken und am Boden. Wir sind eher abgereist, waren doch sehr enttäuscht.

Really bad service! Breakfast is served until 10am (!!) on Sundays. I arrive at 9:50am and can't get any breakfast because the kitchen isn't staffed until 12pm!??.. 🤯🤣

The place is very pretty. We sat on the terrace, which has wonderful views of the Elbe. It was a very hot day, but the terrace is nicely shaded by the trees. I especially recommend it for a drink and to enjoy the views. The food was pathetic, and we didn't find it very good at all. We ordered different dishes (because there were several of us) and no one was happy with what they ordered. It's a shame, really... if the food were good, it would be a perfect place.

Damn good food, both the char on the daily special and the roast pork, all with their side dishes, were fresh and cooked to perfection. Very friendly service, who also asked if everything was okay. Always with a smile on their faces. There aren't many parking spaces, so keep that in mind. The ambiance inside is a matter of taste; I found it a bit chilly on the terrace. But the view is great. We'll be back. Update: The next visit was also great; the terrace is very nice in summer. Update: Today we continued with the Braumeister schnitzel and fried trout. Both were very, very tasty again. The rather large trout with potatoes came with melted butter, the salad had a honey mustard dressing, and the fries came with homemade mayo – all little things that always really enhance a dish like this. We'll be back.

Now on this Sunday, May 18th 25, I visited the Rhododendron Park here in Dresden Wachwitz. Afterwards I felt a little hungry. I looked for a restaurant nearby and found one. So it took me here in 5 minutes, down the sloping driveway to the courtyard. There was a bit little space to the right of the entrance, but with careful maneuvering I was able to park. Then I walked around the hotel to the left, down towards the Elbe. But then, here also as a note for future guests, there is a large car park! Then I went inside, asked for a nice spot, and was recommended a small table. Then, for my first visit today, after browsing the extensive and beautifully presented menu, I settled for just a small fish soup. Friendly, attentive service, a beautiful interior, and a great view from the large windows toward the Elbe. Nobody used the beer and coffee garden today, as it wasn't practical with the alternating rain showers and the cool outside temperature. Next time, perhaps with company. Until then, I wish the staff and owners good business and satisfied customers, just as I was...🧐😄👍

We visited the restaurant and were able to sit outside. There is a lovely atmosphere in the beer garden with a view of the Elbe and shade from the large trees. The food was excellent, the drinks were well chilled and the service was quick, very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back. By the way, the Braumeisterschnitzel is highly recommended.

Unfortunately, I am one of the guests who was unlucky. Had dinner yesterday and had a burger that was anything but fresh. Actually, the chefs should be ashamed to serve something like this to the guests. My mistake was that I didn't say anything. I don't think I will ever visit this restaurant again.

Unfortunately far too expensive

Die Lage direkt an der Elbe ist nicht zu toppen. Bei unserem Besuch war die Terrasse bis zum letzten Platz gefüllt. Trotzdem war das Personal aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Gerichte waren von ganz ausgezeichneter Qualität. Wir hatten Spargel und tafelspitz dazu einen sächsischen Grauburgunder. Fazit: klare Empfehlung - wir kommen wieder!

Located directly on the Elbe River, with direct views of the river from the beer garden and restaurant. The menu is well-stocked and offers a pleasant mix of home-style dishes with a fresh twist. There are no specific children's dishes, but the service was good and attentive, and would likely respond to any requests. On our last visit, it took a bit longer for the food to be served and the underfloor heating provided a bit too much heat, but the restaurant is still recommended. The price is a bit above average, but that's probably justified by the location. Parking can be scarce on nice days, but it's better to cycle there anyway.

I've been here several times for lunch with my wife and sometimes with my grandchildren. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The food is always a culinary delight. We really enjoy going here. However, if you're planning on dining with several people, it's advisable to make a reservation.

Excellent ambience! Large selection of food, friendly service. The food was delicious! Now a week later my friend celebrated his 75th there! Food and ambience good! Kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m., agreed. But the fact that there is nothing to drink after 9 p.m. is more than... This seriously affected the good overall impression! You probably don’t need the sales! I don't think there will be another celebration there. What a shame!!

Ein wunderbares Restaurant mit sehr zuvorkommendem Service. Der Blick auf die Elbe und die Atmosphäre sind einzigartig. Wir haben mit 11 Personen a la carte gegessen, alle waren sehr zufrieden. Alle Speisen waren auf den Punkt, die abwechslungsreiche Karte bietet sowohl vegetarische Gerichte als auch für Fleischliebhaber eine tolle Auswahl. Besonders gut gefällt uns, dass die „sächsischen Klassiker“ nicht fehlen und der Opa seinen geliebten Kaiserschmarrn essen kann! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Great menu, great view, attentive service

Were invited to Christmas lunch today. Food was in the average range, but a bit of a mess (the mood was generally tense because the waiter also seemed visibly annoyed, which is why this wasn't served) Vegetables were barely cooked, seasoning was rather neutral. Service staff seemed a bit sulky, when paying with the card the waiter asked: “How do we want to do with the tip?” When we asked whether there were goose legs available, we were told that it wasn't Christmas yet. Unfortunately there wasn't enough for a lot of money to go there again.

The location and the view are great. The service was also ok, but asking at the end how we're going to do the tip isn't an option. Price performance, too expensive for the small portion.

Beautiful location on the Elbe. The food and wine were excellent. The service was friendly and not intrusive. We shared 3 courses and were more than full. The attentive employee brought a second set of cutlery and plates without being asked. We felt very comfortable here and will be back.

Beautifully located restaurant directly on the Elbe. Even if it's a little further out, the journey is worth it. Attractive interior and very friendly staff. The order was taken quickly and professionally and drinks and food arrived after a fairly short wait. The portion size of the food was perhaps a bit more aimed at an older audience, but the food was deliciously prepared and tasty. Prices are sometimes a bit high depending on the location. Parking can be a bit tricky if you don't arrive early, but so far we've always found a way. Card payment possible without any problems.

We were invited to a family celebration for lunch. Hello staff, polite and accommodating. However, the food could still be worked on. However, spaetzle doesn't go well with sauerbraten with red cabbage, it didn't look like it would be better to serve dumplings or potatoes. Otherwise nice view.

Great restaurant with a wonderful view, good cuisine, high prices and very good service. The history of the inn goes back to 1870. This is beautifully described in the menu along with the local history. There is still part of the old Elbe terrace as an outdoor seating/beer garden. This is beautifully shady and partly paved, with a beautiful view over the Elbe. Inside, everything is modern and dark. The menu is balanced and the offering is very good. There are many choices, from small starters to dessert. Everything is in the upper price range and nothing for those on a tight budget. The service was very friendly, courteous and quick. We have been guests here a few times. The fish soup is a small bowl of soup that is a little over-spiced/over-seasoned with a lot of vegetables, some fish and shrimp. At this price there is still room for improvement in terms of quality. The Cordon Bleu was very tasty, well stuffed and fried juicy. If you're really hungry, you should choose an appetizer. Chips and peas were good. Here, too, there is still room for improvement in terms of price-performance ratio. The Viennese veal schnitzel was delicious, large portion, simply top and highly recommended despite the hefty price. The selection of drinks is completely sufficient. There are regional and well-known brands of wine, beer, various and non-alcoholic drinks. Of course there is a sufficient selection of warm drinks. The view over the Elbe is great and you can also go for a walk here. The restaurant can be reached by public transport. Limited parking spaces are available. In the evening it becomes rather difficult. If the weather is nice, you should also make a reservation in the garden, otherwise you could be out of luck. The minus point is that the location is not barrier-free and suitable for people with disabilities. The clean modern toilets are in the basement. The beer garden is rather uneven and has steps, but with a walker it gets exciting. Conclusion: So far it's always been good, you can occasionally afford it with the necessary change. Very nice atmosphere with a great view in summer. But there is still room for improvement to the 5th star.

Were there repeatedly for dinner. This time we weren't completely satisfied. Service attentive...great Unfortunately the fish soup is not worth its price. Fried potatoes were lukewarm, soggy and the fat had drowned the salad. I really wanted it because the brawn is excellent. The in-house lemonade consisted of a little syrup and lots of ice cubes and water. It was tastier the other day. It's a shame, but I won't compromise on prices anymore.

Top location directly on the Elbe and the Elbe cycle path. The terrace is lovely in summer. We are repeatedly very satisfied with the food and the service (only visiting the restaurant - not in the hotel). Everything freshly prepared and very tasty! The prices are high (but where will that not be the case in 2024). Beer at the moment €5.20 - fair price. We'd love to come back!
