El Pikosito in Hamburg

Super Service, super Ambiente, leckeres Essen. Leider waren einige Speisen für mich zu scharf. Hier hätte ich mir eine Warnung erhofft aber gut, bei einem mexikanischen Restaurant hätte ich damit rechnen können.

Sehr lecker und ganz liebes Team und die Sossen sind mega! Auch genug platz für größere Gruppen, leckere Drinks

Extrem freundliche Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen. Man hat sich entschieden, eine wechselnde Wochekarte anzubieten und die Rechnung geht voll auf. Das Essen war einfach köstlich.

Immer wieder ein Erlebnis, großartiges, frisches Essen, gute Bierauswahl (Lieblingsbier bekommen wir schon beim Reinkommen gezapft😉), netter, und aufmerksamer Service. Kurz: das beste mexikanische Essen in der Stadt in toller Atmosphäre. Immer wieder gerne.

Wir hatten einen super schönen Abend im El Pikosito. Es ist ein gemütliches Lokal mit bodenständiger Küche. Ich hatte die Quesadilla mit Huhn, Käse und frischem Salat gefüllt. Dazu Avocadocreme. Es war lecker, leicht und ich war gut satt. Die Drinks waren auch super und die Jungs vom Service hatten den Laden gut im Griff und waren sehr aufmerksam. Also wer einfach eine gute Margarita sucht und dazu bisschen was futtern möchte. Ist da gut aufgehoben. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen!! Wir hatten uns die Tortilla Chips zur Vorspeise geteilt und die Quesdailla als Hauptspeise. Beides war super lecker mit frischen Zutaten. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis war sehr gut und die Bedienungen waren auch wirklich sehr freundlich und hilfreich.

Wir waren zu Besuch in Hamburg und hatten einen rundum gelungenen Abend bei diesem großartigen Mexikaner. Die Tacos waren hervorragend – frisch, geschmackvoll und einfach richtig lecker. Besonders begeistert hat uns der aufmerksame und herzliche Service, der den Abend perfekt gemacht hat. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder vorbeischauen.

Sehr nettes Team! Man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut gefallen und vieles war selbstgemacht und wirklich köstlich. Preislich voll ok. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Service war hervorragend, Inhaber eine wundervolle Seele, Essen sehr lecker und typisch mexikanisch und die Getränke auch sehr göttlich. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen! :)

Dafür, dass die Tacos mit Schweinefleisch ist und somit das günstigste und ungesündeste Fleisch im Einkauf ist, ist es viel zu teuer. Bin mit meiner Mutter dort essen gegangen und wir waren bei der Rechnung sehr empört. Wir gehen zumindest da nie wieder essen. Wer so viel verlangt, muss mehr als Qualität bieten.

Wie immer ist ein Besuch hier lohnenswert! Das Essen ist super, die Tequila schmecken!

Per Zufall dieses tolle Restaurant "an der Ecke" entdeckt. Sehr familiär, freundlicher und ehrlicher Service. Die Küche hat hier richtig Bock und das Essen war absolut frisch, heiß und wirklich sehr lecker. Auf Nachfrage hat uns der Kellner Tips und Empfehlungen ausgesprochen und nichts überflüssiges verkauft. Gerne werden wir den Besuch wiederholen und wiederkommen. Hier fühle ich mich als Gast willkommen. Dankeschön.

Wir waren am Sonntag, den 28.12.2025 im El Pikostio und es war einfach wunderbar! 🌟 Nicht nur das Essen war tipptop – frisch, aromatisch und mit so viel Liebe zubereitet – auch der Chef und der Kellner waren unglaublich herzlich und aufmerksam. Selten erlebt man so viel Freundlichkeit und Leidenschaft an einem Ort! Wir waren bereits 2016 zum ersten Mal hier und kommen seitdem immer wieder gerne zurück. ✨ Mit jedem Besuch fühlen wir uns ein kleines bisschen wie Zuhause – das ist wirklich etwas ganz Besonderes. Wir hatten durchgehend richtig gute Laune, weil einfach alles gestimmt hat: das Essen, die Stimmung und dieser besondere persönliche Service. ❤️ Wir lieben das Essen hier – absolut empfehlenswert! Wir freuen uns jetzt schon auf das nächste Mal! 😍✨

Eine wunderbare Überraschung in Hamburg! Das Pozole nach Ciudad-Juárez-Art mit Hühnchen war köstlich, die Portion großzügig und der Geschmack einfach wohltuend – besonders für uns, die wir nicht aus Mexiko kommen. Der Service war exzellent, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend, und die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm für Familien. Unsere Kinder waren von den Tacos al Pastor begeistert. Dieses Restaurant ist absolut empfehlenswert, sowohl für Mexikaner, die sich nach gutem, traditionellem Essen sehnen, als auch für alle anderen, die die mexikanische Küche kennenlernen möchten.

The parrillada al pastor omg so delicious with soft corn tortillas took me to a "Mexican cantina experience", I really like IPA beers and they have one of Two chefs brewing, and the selection of mezcals is great, I loved the food portions because is very easy to drink a lot in such a cozy and good atmosphere.

Delicious food, good advice, surprisingly good beer—we'll be back!

I've only visited the El Pikosito so far, and it's a shame that they had just taken burritos off the menu - love them. But there are still plenty of dishes to choose from including the daily/weekly (?) menu. I had pico de gallo for starters and quesadillas. Both delicious. My companion had hot wings and was also content, even though the potatoes were quite salty. There were other dishes I'd like to have tried, so I think I'll have to visit again. Oh, I should not forget the great service. It's great to get meals explained.

Changed the menu in a ridiculous manner. A mexican place that scratched tacos, burritos and chimichangas completely? Thats like KFC scratching chicken from its menuz

If I could, I would give it 0 stars, and this is my very first review. I'm very disappointed with this meal. The price-performance ratio is downright insulting. I've rarely "burned" almost €50 like this – on three dishes, even though you couldn't even call them a dish. The burrito was inedible... the other food was everything but Mexican. "Poorly made, careless wraps... with sauces so ice-cold you felt like they were frozen. The avocado cream tasted of nothing... and only one dish had a small dried-up lime slice on the edge. I've eaten Mexican food in Hamburg several times, and this was by far so bad: sorry... it's truly a disgrace to offer something like this. We wanted to treat ourselves to a nice meal to celebrate the day, and money doesn't grow on trees... we got two kinds of stomachaches from the food and from the poorly invested money. I wouldn't recommend it, and I'll definitely never go back to this place! Thanks for nothing!

Very friendly people, delicious food, non-alcoholic Alsterwasser (with homemade lemonade and craft beer) (!), great fresh food with lemons and coriander, everything was perfect, highly recommended.

The food was delicious and the service was great. We had tacos, tortilla chips with guacamole, and mezcal margaritas. We received very quick and friendly service.

We also spontaneously stopped by the restaurant today. We sat outside by the street. The street didn't bother me; I like to observe the hustle and bustle around me. The pleasant waiter was very nice and friendly and gave us good advice. He was present but not intrusive. Simply fantastic! The food was delicious and the portions were generous! We were stuffed! The value for money is good! We'll be back when we're in Hamburg! Definitely recommend it!

As Mexican as it can get in Germany. Lovely service and the margaritas are a highlight. Always a good spot to feel some Latin culture.

Loveless and without taste. If we hadn't had the salsas from the tortilla chips, the food really would have been inedible. The chicken and the whole meal in general have never seen any spices and the chicken in a tomato sauce was also tasteless. The whole menu only consists of the same basic ingredients and there is only chicken or pork (did not try/order). The prices are also pretty steep and we paid €90 for 3 people. NEVER AGAIN.

We were there spontaneously and got a nice table. Of course, I checked the reviews first. The food had nothing to do with the recommendations here, nor with the images on the menu. Cold, loveless, uninviting in terms of taste. The atmosphere and the team would have led us to expect something different. Was the cook sick? I hope everyone finds the restaurant as the good recommendations suggest.

Drove past the restaurant, stopped, luckily found a parking space and was surprised with great service and food. How chance sometimes leads you there. The food was really good and the price-performance ratio is completely humane. I would particularly like to highlight the service. Because unfortunately it has diminished everywhere these days. We had a super nice, service-oriented young lady. Very focused on the guest. Really great class. Of course we were there to eat, so a little feedback on that. It was very tasty and the waiting time between starter and main course was ideal. Unusually long, compared to other places, but just right so that the starter is a bit "digested". Super tasty restaurant, it tastes very authentic, like in my home Jalisco. The homemade tacos 🌮 & enmolades de pollo 🐔 are particularly recommended. For me one of the best Mexican restaurants when I'm in Hamburg. Owners are also very nice.

The best Mexican restaurant in Hamburg! I've been going there for years, even when I have visitors, and I've never been disappointed! I love the homemade nachos but also other traditional dishes, prices are reasonable, nice service, good atmosphere. Keep it up! 🧡

We spent a wonderful Mexican evening here. Starting with the warm welcome, then the excellent service. The dishes were mega hot. And they tasted delicious. The happy hour with the mojito was also very good. The beer of the day was also excellent. Then the payment (card payment was possible) and the friendly farewell. The location was in perfect condition. Thank you very much for that 👏🏽. Thank you for the lovely evening ☺️

We had tacos , based on a Geheimtipp Hamburg article about the best tacos in Hamburg, so was really excited to try it out. We ordered tacos for everyone , we tried them all. I would rate them 3/10. The one variant was called de pollo, it was supposed to have a fried maize taco and chicken. It was a store bought shell,, uncooked nor warm. So unnecessary. filled with a slither of shredded chicken and filled with iceberg lettuce. That’s it. This as the worst of them. Moving on, the rest of the tacos were built with two small maize tortillas on top of each other (doubled up) for some reason, the fillings / toppings were beef, big chicken breast pieces in some kind of nondescript sauce. None were warm, and all proteins tasted like they were cooked sometime this week, were supposed to be warmed up, but they either tried a little or forgot. The chicken and beef tacos had different names but were indistinguishable from one another. The main and only fresh ingredient on the plate was iceberg lettuce lime wedges and a trio of Sauces accompany the plates, store bought red, green and brown salsa, a store bought or pre packed guacamole avocado creme, none of which could save the poor tacos. All saucy accompaniments could have been forgivable, if the base dish, was not so poor. I feel that there was zero love in this food. Sad, it’s not hard to make a fresh beef Barbacoa { which can be cooked all day and remain in the slow cooker in a warm state to be served up or a quick blitz off of a flattop grill} some pickled red onions, some cilantro and a some fresh soft Mexican style cheese , a slice of fresh jalapeño and a wedge of lime. Ditch the iceberg lettuce, for heavens sake. They did have the best tequila selection I have seen in a while and Shorty our waitron was super friendly. The service was good but the chef needs a reality check. I fear the Mexicanness has been tamed out of the establishment by the locals over years. Judging by the local reviews, most seem to like this ‘style of mediocrity’.

Sehr schönes, kleines und gemütliches Lokal mit verspieltem mexikanischem Flair. Extrem leckeres Essen. Nur weiterzuempfehlen. Da ich selbst schonmal in Mexiko war, kann ich behaupten dass dieses Etablissement sehr authentisch daherkommt. Es gibt eine gute vegetarische Auswahl und ein paar vegane Varianten. Super lecker ist immer die hauseigene Guacamole mit den Tortilla Chips und die hausgemachte Limonada aus Limetten. Eine Reservierung ist meistens notwendig da sehr beliebt.

Impressively large selection of pretty authentic Mexican dishes. And everything was very tasty. And the poor colleague who served us was there on his first day and of course didn't know the menu by heart. But it more than made up for it with its charm.

It is not the first time I visit it, they try to cook Mexican food, but there is a long way to go to reach a Mexican flavor, the meat al pastor has nothing to do with the Mexican flavor, it simply tastes like a marinated meat. The service is good and very friendly, and the place is well decorated.

Very tasty and authentic. Got the mixed tacos. Plus Camba draft beer and cheesecake with strawberry sauce and cream. Service was friendly, waiting times were short on a Wednesday evening. We came without a reservation and there was only one table left in the main room. In the next room everything was free but the door seemed to be closed as if people wanted to avoid using it. 5 tacos, 2x 0.5l draft beer, cheesecake just under €32 is very fair. The food was delicious, the sauces were typically spicy and spicy. I was recently in Mexico and ate tacos al pastor at countless stands. Here there was just a little more salad and pineapple was missing. Gladly again soon. 😊

From the outside, El Pikosito doesn't look like much. But that is very misleading. A very cozy restaurant with great cheerful service and excellent food. An insider tip for me!

Tolles authentisches mexikanisches Restaurant mit der Möglichkeit, draußen zu sitzen. Dort hat meinen einen Blick auf den Schleepark. Sehr vielfältige Auswahl an Fahrrad, Nachos, tortillas, etc. und himmlisches Pico de Gallo!!!

Toller Mexikaner mit der besten Guacamole!!! Super leckeres Essen und Drinks, toller Service und richtig gutes Ambiente. Zu empfehlen ist auch die Happy Hour von 17-19 Uhr :) und bei schönem Wetter kann man gut draußen sitzen. Von jedem Gericht gibt es außerdem auch eine veggie Variante - für Vegetarier also keine riesige Auswahl, aber trotzdem sehr lecker.

Comida adaptada para el gusto de los alemanes, las salsas sabían dulces. Los chilaquiles secos.El sabor no es auténtico mexicano. En el menú online dice que tienen enchiladas y mole, pero no es verdad. El servicio amable pero, la comida tardó muchísimo en llegar. Lo siento, teníamos muchas expectativas de este lugar y nos decepcionó bastante.

Super nette und schnelle Bedienung/ Service. Aber auch nicht zu penetrant. Wir hatten beide einen Burrito, der im Grunde genommen Mexikanisch lecker war, allerdings nicht sonderlich angerichtet (schade). Wir hatten dazu noch tortillas mit Salsa Soße. Es war nicht nur eine Soße sondern gleich 3 mit unterschiedlichen Schärfen. Das war sehr gut angerichtet. Vielen Dank und gerne wieder🙏🏼

Die Bedingungen ist freundlich zugewandt, gibts gute Essentips die tacos sind gut aber meine Meinung nach ein bisschen trocken aber die guacamole ist mega lecker und ich liebe die Margaritas. Sehr gut gemacht!

The availability of enchiladas (which, frankly, were overpriced even when you get them with just cheese, at ~€18) and flautas. The tacos are ok; some better than others, but half the time a little disappointing. (I would get the mixed tacos because I'd forget which was better, and tend to get an average of good and bad. But the chicken is dry and flavorless, and they all come on dry, cheap corn tortillas that get soggy and tear and in half.) And €10 for chips and salsa starts to feel like too much. And their tortilla chips are *so good*! We used to love coming here, but now can't rationalize the prices for what little satisfaction. But the staff have typically been very friendly and kind. So we felt 5 stars about it, but have to take 2 away, one for each favorite. We'll just make enchiladas at home from now on.

Lecker!! Nette Bedienung, sehr gutes Essen, entspannte Atmosphäre.

I was recommended this place by a friend for good food, but unfortunately the food we got was really not good. I got taco mix and the pulled chicken was dryer than cardboard. And the tacos were disintegrating since they were so wet and soggy. Similarly the nachos with cheese I know generally get soggy but they were wet dough by the end of it. Since my friend recommended it, I'm sure they make good food, but my food was really not recommendable.
