Amazing food experience. The taste of the food was great and there was a lot of food, so us hungry danes needed to there a bit out. Next time we visit Kiel We Will use this restaurant again! Actually it tastes better than the greek food We Got at creta earlier this summer. The service was also Good 👍🏻

The food was good. Gyros and fries could have been a little crispier. Suzuki and suflaki were great. The tzatziki was slightly sour. But that's probably because it's made from yoghurt and not quark. The service is super friendly. No long wait. The ambience has remained as it was before. All in all it is recommended.

We are regular guests here, whenever we visit family in Kiel. A great, down-to-earth restaurant with authentic Greek food. The waitresses are very nice and the boss takes great care of his guests. Definitely a recommendation!

I went to El Greco for the first time on the recommendation of a friend and I have to say the food is excellent, the service is unique, the service is super friendly, I'm totally thrilled, the food was really great, I had gyros with tzatziki and fries, which are unique, I've never eaten fries like this before, the coleslaw was also super tasty, the gyros were crispy as it should be and as I said the service is great I can only recommend it 5 stars!

Definitely wanted to eat here. We reserved a table and received a confirmation. Unfortunately the store was closed on a Tuesday and no one could be reached by phone. Very disappointing.

El Greco is a taverna style restaurant. It serves great Gyros but the atmosphere there is very old fashioned and could really use a renovation.

Food came wrong. No questions were asked as to whether drinks or dessert were wanted. The waitress didn't know any allergens and there was no menu with allergens marked

This is not a “standard Greek”! Although we can only write our review based on one visit and one order, so far we can report that the food is really incredibly good! My boyfriend is particularly enthusiastic about the juicy, tender meat and I think the selection of starters is great! The classic side dishes like coleslaw, rice and fries also taste good!! Good service completes the overall picture!

He took over the shop 4 months ago, the food is awesome and it's fresh. Not hung out and left for a long time, but fresh! The coleslaw is homemade and tastes wonderful! Tzatziki, even homemade, not too spicy and also homemade just great. The fries are incredible, I've never had fries so good! The service and courtesy is incredible. The bottom line is that I always come back and always enjoy it! I can only recommend this to anyone who loves Greek food!

There were two of us here. I had a grill plate that had a lot of it. The quality is top. Fries were pretty much the best I've eaten in the last few months. The meat was absolutely juicy and well seasoned. The service was ok. Our wishes were fulfilled. It's definitely worth eating here!

Nicely decorated Greek restaurant, tables not too close together. You can have a quiet, undisturbed conversation. Service very accommodating. Dish with liver without onions, these were served upon request. Recommended dish with Metaxa sauce. All in all round and recommended. Price-performance ratio is top in my opinion.

The El Greco in Kiel is (still) recommended! We think the appetizer platter and Saganaki taste best, everything tastes nice and fresh and well seasoned. The main courses all taste good, although surprisingly the souvlaki always taste very little seasoned and too bland. The gyro tastes nice and spicy and crunchy. The service is extremely friendly and always on hand. Conclusion: El Greco always works.

Last night we had the pleasure of dining at the Greek restaurant El Greco in Kiel and it was an absolute delight! The service was extremely friendly and accommodating, we felt like we were in good hands right from the start. The food was simply fantastic and pleased our taste buds. The beautiful ambience of the restaurant also contributed to a successful evening. I can fully recommend this restaurant and look forward to eating there again soon!

Perfect and parking is no problem

If you like large portions, good service and good Greek food (as we are used to in German), this is the right place for you. The food is delicious, plentiful and everything tastes very good. And the waiting time was completely ok considering the crowds. We just found it very loud in the fully occupied restaurant, which made it difficult to have a conversation.

Something has changed since the new owner took over in January. Went there for the first time in January. homemade dips and coleslaw 2. Ordered today. February. Liver good, skewers good, gyros very good. Coleslaw was also homemade and very tasty. Homemade dips too. Even the fries were still crispy and fluffy after delivery. Really good.

The amount of food, like most Greek restaurants, is overwhelming. Too much. You can't do that. Too bad about the food. Unfortunately, the quality does not correspond to the high prices; they are probably only there to compensate for the quantity. Metaxa sauce tasted like tomato sauce with cream. So-called minced meat rolls were huge flat cakes. The starters were so extensive that a main course was no longer necessary or possible. The service staff would have liked to have pointed this out. “Share an appetizer, that’s a very large portion,” e.g. Special requests were difficult to realize. Overall ok, but way too expensive.

We got 102 and 103 on the card plus garlic bread to get something different and it tasted so good! Delicious meat, good fritters and side dishes. The only minus here is that there are no English menu cards, so it took us some time to get to know the card with Google translate.

For an event in Kiel and looking for something to eat, we ended up at El Greco. Very early and without a reservation we were greeted very friendly. The store gradually filled up and was ultimately almost completely full. Gyros, souvlaki and souzuki were fresh, juicy, tasty - so great. Fries seem homemade?! Because it's rather atypical in form. Really really good. The Metaxa sauce at the Bifteki wasn't quite to our taste, but the portion was also very generous. Very, very friendly service, two ouzos on the house. I would come back there at any time! Clear recommendation.

Essen war eher durchschnittlich. Die Bedienung hat leider die Suppe der Freundlichkeit offensichtlich mit der Gabel gelöffelt.

Wir waren das erste Mal hier. Positiv ist nur die Qualität des Fleisches zu erwähnen. Die Pommes zu weich, der Beilagensalat schmeckte unterdurchschnittlich. Das Gyros in Metaxasoße war reichlich, schmeckte aber nur durchschnittlich. Das dunkle Bier schmeckte einigermaßen. Der Ouzo war okay. Das Vanilleeis überzeugte auch nicht. Das Personal war mäßig motiviert. Die Toilette war sauber. Das Lokal macht insgesamt den Eindruck, dass die letzte Renovierung schon etwas her ist

Das Essen war in Ordnung. Die Bedienung und der Service unterirdisch. Die Bedienung wirkte auf mich lustlos, etwas gequält und ohne lächeln. Auch das Abräumen der Teller oder die Nachfrage nach weiteren Wünschen - Fehlanzeige. Fazit: So einen Service will und braucht man nicht, ergo nie wieder.

Wir haben gestern das erste Mal hier bestellt und waren sehr zufrieden 😍 Der Fahrer war pünktlich und super freundlich 👍 Das Essen war heiß, sogar ein bisschen zu heiß 🔥😃 Die Pommes waren super lecker und seperat verpackt, was uns gut gefallen hat. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Gemüse mit Zaziki 🧄 Mein Freund hatte Gyros und ich die Gemüsepfanne 🥕🥦🍆 Das Brot 🍞, das es dazu gab war auch super lecker ☺️ Krautsalat war auch super 🥗 Was schön wäre, wenn es noch mehr vegetarische Auswahl gebe oder sogar ein veganes Gericht 😉 Wir werden auf jeden Fall nochmal hier bestellen 😊

Ein Besuch im El Greco lohnt sich! Das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker, ich hatte Als Vorspeise, gebratene Paprika und Feta zum Hauptgang Gyros Metaxa Pfanne und zum Nachtisch loukoumades, frittierte Teigbällchen mit Honig! Der Service war auch gut, alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend!

Wir haben telefonisch bestellt und unsere Bestellung wurde sehr höflich entgegen genommen. Es wurde uns gesagt, das die Lieferung ca 50 Minuten dauern würde ( was für ein Wochenende und der Bestellmenge völlig ok ist) Pünktlich 50 Minuten später war unser Essen da👍 Wir haben Gyros, Befteki, Olymph Teller und Knoblauchbrot bestellt . Alles war sehr gut portioniert und schmeckte fabelhaft. Wir werden wieder bestellen und sagen Dankeschön an das Team vom El Greco

Der Grillteller war lecker und eine üppige Portion. Allerdings wurden hier schon wieder mächtig die Preise erhöht. Klar haben wir Inflation aber innerhalb kurzer Zeit so oft zu erhöhen geht gar nicht.

Sehr leckeres Essen, nette Bedienung und gemütliches Ambiente! Allerdings wurden die Preise seit Corona nun schon zum 3. Mal erhöht - wir können leider nicht mehr so oft bei euch einkehren...schade!

Klassischer "Grieche" mit der erwartbaren Einrichtung, in der Zeit stehengeblieben. Macht aber nix. Es ist dennoch gemütlich. Toilettenräume bräuchten allerdings eine Renovierung. Die Servicekräfte strahlten eher Leidenschaftslosigkeit aus. Man machte halt seinen Job, ein klitzeklein wenig mehr Aufmerksamkeit, Zuvorkommenheit, Lächeln und Freude am Beruf - und ich hätte auf jeden Fall 4 Sterne minimum gegeben. Gerade zum Ende hin, hatte ich schon den Eindruck, dass man Feierabend machen wollte. Es war aber dennoch insgesamt in Ordnung. Absolut top war für mich der von mir gewählte Grillteller. Super Fleisch, leckere Pommes (gröber geschnitten) und Beilagen. Ich habe die Massen nicht geschafft. Auf jeden Fall kommen wir gerne wieder.

Super essen!! Große Portionen, schnell und heiß. 2 Kellner waren mit dem vollen Restaurant etwas überfordert hat alles etwas gedauert, aber sie waren super nett und es gab 2-3 Ouzo als Entschuldigung. Toiletten sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Sehr leckere Speisen und schneller Service vor Ort. Auch beim El Greco Lieferservice muss man meistens nicht sehr lange warten und das Essen kommt noch sehr warm an - alles bestens also ..!

Wir haben hier zu Abend gegessen. Das Essen war lecker. Leider Rest der Service sehr unaufmerksam. Ich saß 15 Minuten mit einem leeren Glas beim essen. Erst als wir durch winken auf uns aufmerksam gemacht haben kam eine Servicekraft und hat nach Getränken gefragt. Nach dem essen das gleiche Spiel. Kleiner Tipp „mit den Getränken verdienet man das Geld“. Wäre ab und zu jemand zu uns gekommen und hätte gefragt, hätten wir mehr verzehrt. Teppiche vor der Toiletten sind ein no Go. Da es keine halben Sterne gibt, bleibt es bei drei Sternen
