This was one of the best Indian meals I have ever had in all of Europe. The curries are all so flavourful and balanced. We also had naan and rice and it was delicious. The staff were helpful and timely too!

This review is late by 10 months, If you’re in Munich and seeking an authentic Indian dining experience, **Ekam** is a must-visit gem that stands out for both its flavorful cuisine and exceptional service. We found it on to our drive to Hotel Laimer Hof. Food, service and qualtiy of both were equally great. However, what truly elevated our experience was the interaction with the owner. His passion for Indian cuisine and commitment to his guests were evident from the moment we arrived. Complimentary Ice Cream to our kid was one of the memorable experience. Also helped by suggesting where to park our car.

Very good Indian restaurant. The dishes appear authentic and well prepared. The restaurant seems a bit smaller, but that gives it a cozy atmosphere. The only downer for me is that I don't seem to be able to tolerate the typical Indian spices anymore, etc. It's a shame, because I like to eat Indian food.

I regularly go to Ekam for lunch with colleagues. Lunch menus with soup or salad in advance are available from €10. The food is very tasty and the service is great.

I go there at least once a week with work colleagues and am always very satisfied. The food is very good, there is a good lunch menu and the service is excellent. I am a regular customer and always like to come back.

Ordered chicken biryani, and it's really good. Arrived at around 12nn, and it is not busy. Serving time takes around 10-15 mins.

Never been a victim of racism in Germany? Try visiting there if you're a people of color or from a country which is non-white, you'll know what it feels like. ;) The restaurant owner as well the staff has developed such an internalized racism while being people of color themselves. The way they discriminate, look down and treat you with little to no hospitality is shocking. Also you will not be served with welcome snacks or shots if you're a not a white person. The staff including the manager straightforwardly told that if you only order 2 main dishes for 3 persons then you're not desirable or welcomed and you won't be receiving our special welcome drinks or snacks! How ridiculous could that be? Maybe the Germans or white people must be having a great time here but try being a non-white person and visit there - You'll know what I mean! I could give it a zero star if it was an option. I am deeply in shock with what happened to us.

The worst chicken biryani I even had in Munich. I had bitter coriander leafs in the biryani. The staff was nice and atmosphere was also good to seat outside. Also they charge 4 euros for the raita which is free everywhere else with biryani. Not satisfied with the food. Location is good.

Very tasty Indian cuisine. The tandoori dish came to the table still sizzling in the pan. Service very nice and accommodating. In summer you can sit outside well. There was a free appetizer included.

Good food and service. I highly recommend the Gazar ka halwa for dessert. For main course we tried Alu Gobi and Chicken Jalfrezi. Alu gobi was good. For chicken Jalfrezi, I have tasted better gravies - but the chicken was nicely made - so overall it was good. All the dishes had a low spice level - would have prefered if they asked our spice preference - as typical in most Indian restaurant in EU.

Ich muss sagen, bislang der beste Inder in Neuhausen/Nymphenburg. Das Essen schmeckt einfach himmlisch, Personal ist super freundlich UND die Preise sind Human. Der Landen hätte definitiv mehr Besucher verdient.

Sehr zu Empfehlen. Ich hatte ein Zanderfilet Curry im Mittagsmenü für 13€ mit Salat als Vorspeise und ausreichend Reis. Der Fisch war auf den Punkt und das Gemüse und der Salat waren von der ganz frischen Sorte. Das Ganze super auf der bruzzelnden Platte angerichtet. Einzig mit Salz haben sie etwas gespart. Aber lieber so als zu viel davon. Da werde ich wohl öfter mein Mittagessen einnehmen. Mal schauen ob sich der Standard hält?!

Looked for a restaurant close to one of the child hospitals and found this place via recommendations. Place looked overall clean, for a Tuesday around early opening times most tables were occupied and guest seemed to been having a good time. Menu had most typical curries to offer (with either options of lamb or chicken). Nan bread was freshly baked and the masala I had was good. I had better curries in my life but so far non as good as here in Munich area.

Terrible food, disgusting costumer service. I have never experienced a restaurant that has discriminated or shown blatant racism shown towards its costumers. We walked in as a family of 4 and was treated with rude service who looked down upon us. As soon as we found our seats, the atmosphere was off as the servers looked upon as with disgust as if we weren’t wanted here. We waited a lot for our orders to be taken as the servers were discussing amongst themselves what and who would take our order. When we finally ordered our food, it was cold and wasn’t fresh. The staff was unprofessional and unethical. When we voiced our complaints, we were only met with rude comments and was asked to leave the restaurant ‘if we didn’t like it’. They took our seat without asking, and when we asked their reason, they said: “it’s reserved”. However, we have been sitting there for an hour eating their mediocre food, waiting for the rest of the family to come by. When asked for the bill, a family member had to personally confront the servers for our bill; however, we were haughtily informed to wait for other patrons, but there was none! The restaurant was empty and doesn’t warrant the complete disrespect and inhospitable attitude. Terrible food and plates were unclean. I would never recommend this restaurant, especially to foreigners who would experience authentic Indian restaurant that reflects its extraordinary culture and food, as well as its people.

We just landed in Munchen and arrived at our hotel late. We found this restaurant still open past 2130. They saw and seated us right away. Food was amazing! Only complaint is that we order too much food and could not finish. Loved the staff and cooks! Thank you!

Interessanter Starter aber da bereits viel zu viel Dip. Der Hauptgang war definitiv zu scharf und die Berge an Lebensmitteln konnten nicht vertilgt werden. Schade, da es sonst gut war, vor allem das Nan. Faire Preise und nette Bedienung. Der Mango Likör als Abgang, genau das Richtige.

Voilà un restaurant indien découvert par hasard le soir où nous avons dîné au restaurant “Risotto” juste en face. Et ce fut une très bonne surprise. Pourtant je ne suis pas un grand fan de la cuisine indienne. Et bien j’ai changé d’avis après notre soirée dans ce restaurant. L’accueil est irréprochable, la cuisine parfumée, juste bien relevée et savoureuse. Et la note plus que raisonnable. Bref une belle surprise.

Sehr gute indische Speisen. sehr gut gewürzt mit vielen verschiedenen Kräutern und Gewürzen. Besonders lecker fanden wir das Karahi Paneer und den Punjabi Salat. Wir haben das Essen abgeholt, der Gastraum sieht aber auch gut aus.

Wow, viele Inder in München probiert, hier waren wir erstmals begeistert: unglaublich wohlschmeckend, aromatisch und sehr frisch im Geschmack (chicken Mango, nilgiri, tika), empfehlen wir sehr gerne weiter und kommen gerne wieder.

Alles schmeckt super, nur alleine der Reis ist eine Geschmacksexplosion. Die zwei Chefs sind sehr freundlich und der Service ist ausgezeichnet ! Große Portionen top Geschmack . Alles auch zum abholen. Funktioniert bestens.

Hatte gestern einmal chicken jhalfrezi und vegetarische Bällchen abgeholt, dazu Reis und Naan. Muss ehrlich sein, das Essen war einfach köstlich. Hier wird jeder seinen Geschmack finden, ob scharf oder weniger scharf, hatte beide Varianten ausprobiert und es wurde zu meinem Favorit. Ich werde hier auf jeden Fall öfters was abholen, gerade jetzt in so einer Situation. Dafür hat man garantiert ein leckeres indisches Essen, so wie es sein muss 👍 Top

Wir wohnen in der Nähe und essen dort jeden Sonntag, weil es einfach der beste Inder der Stadt ist! Butterchicken! Zum reinlegen!
