Indian Mango in München

I've ordered here before and it was okay. Today was a disaster. Arrived ice cold and my rice had a dollop of sauce and pieces of chicken in it. I ordered vegetarian chili paneer and nothing with meat...

This review refers to delivery by Indian Mango: In the last few years we have ordered a total of 3 times from Indian Mango via Uber Eats delivery (2 for 1). Unfortunately, all three times the food was not satisfactory: Portions outrageously small. The masala sauce tasted way too sour and tomato-like. The Dal Tadka was bland and had an unpleasant crumbly texture. Very very bad! The meat was tough/dry and the cheese was tasteless. Requests were also not addressed. I think it's a shame how Indian Mango is constantly driving down its rating due to their catastrophic delivery offer, as I actually remembered two previous visits there quite well.

I’m a fan of Indian cuisine, but unfortunately, this restaurant didn’t meet expectations. The biryani I ordered was cold and tasted like it had been sitting for too long, lacking the fresh, aromatic quality you’d expect. The grilled items weren’t cooked properly, which was disappointing. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you're looking for authentic, well-prepared Indian food.

Good breakfast option and opens early on Saturday and Sunday.

It is one of the most delicious Indian restaurants. The treatment of the staff is also wonderful, and one of the employees speaks Arabic. His name is Rakesh, who is friendly and helpful.

I ordered 2x Chicken Vindaloo and there were no potatoes. The chicken was so chewy it was almost like bubble gum. Plus the sauce wasn't even half full. I definitely won't order again and can't recommend it to anyone.

Ordered extra non-spicy food and got the spiciest food at the table. The waiter specifically recommended another dish that “isn’t that spicy,” even though I just wanted to order the one with almond sauce. Absolute disaster and not recommended. It's a shame about the 25€

An excellent restaurant. I actually came to it at night with my family and most of the restaurants were closed, but I brought the food made to order and it was hot and quick to prepare. The applicant spoke Arabic and had very good manners. The order for two people cost fifty euros and the quantity was very reasonable.

First class service would date the owner. The curry was really nice and banana-like and clovey. My boyfriend Klausi 💕 found the food so tasty that he turned on his blinki. I've never had such an experience for 6 euros. Kisses on nuts 😜😻🫃🏼

I ordered from Uber Eats and I couldn't eat the food I got because it was so bad. Since there are a lot of people who have ordered from a delivery service and are very dissatisfied, this is probably normal. I got the worst chicken korma of my life. The sauce was totally gritty and didn't even run off the spoon. Unfortunately I was deceived by the good reviews.

Service is good and the staff is also great. The food taste is okay. A bit modified to German taste palette.

The Sunday brunch is highly recommended

The restaurant is near to Isartor S Bahn station (walking distance) and overall the food was authentic (as indian food is), spices are upto the mark (also customisable based on your taste) and warmth. The overall ambiance is average especially the sitting arrangements are a bit conjusted and not illuminated bright. Please do think once if you try any regional specific dishes. Atlast, services provided by Mr. Rakesh throughout the dinner was absolutely amazing.

I don't have any pics to share as we were busy eating the good food. Which was served quick, hot and as per our requirements. 1. Food taste wise I would give 5 stars. 2. Specially mentioning hospitality, warmth, serving from Mr. Rakesh, who took care of us and our table. 3. We were 5 people and all went happy back home. No questions about taste and quantity and price of food. 4. We ate lavishly without drinks and paid less than most restaurants, which was a good surprise. .... Only recommendation to the restaurant owners would be as below: 1. Please brighten the lights of the restaurant as for now it gives a bit depressing feel. Bright lights would not be that expensive to switch and also would make the place look good. 2. Please keep toilets etc. clean as for now they are not well kept and filthy. ..... I had vomit in my food! The next day I filed a complaint and reported the case to the Munich Food Control Authority! Really sick!!!!!! Be careful everyone who wants to order here!!!!!

Recently we visited this restaurant. We had fish amritsari , butter naan and home made mutton curry. Fish amritsari was good. Mutton was good too. But it could be little better in terms of seasoning. But it was goat instead of lamb. So we were happy to have found goat meat. We went in the rush hours. So the service was little slow. But overall it was a good experience.

Ordered food in the 2 for 1 offer and unfortunately only 1 dish was delivered. It makes you feel slightly neglected.

Indian Mango restuarant. After a leisurely Sunday morning stroll, my friend and I found ourselves drawn to the vibrant orange facade of Indian Mango, a seemingly popular spot judging by the mix of German and Indian patrons filling its tables. While the ambiance was somewhat lacking, the promise of authentic flavors kept our spirits high. We opted for a mix of their specialties: Homemade Chicken Curry, Homemade Mutton Curry, and Fish Kerala Style, accompanied by a selection of rotis and naan. The Chicken Curry, unfortunately, fell flat. Its flavors were muted and uninspiring, leaving us wishing we had skipped it altogether. However, the Fish Kerala Style more than made up for the disappointment. Although slightly sweeter than expected, the aroma and taste were exquisite, a true testament to the rich culinary traditions of Kerala. The complimentary white rice provided the perfect canvas for savoring every drop of the flavorful curry. The Mutton Curry struck a balance between the two. While not as remarkable as the fish, it was still enjoyable, with tender meat and a well-spiced gravy . In Conclusion: Indian Mango offers a glimpse into the diverse flavors of Indian cuisine, even if the setting is less than ideal. If you find yourself in Munich craving a taste of India, the Fish Kerala Style is a must-try. Just be prepared for a bustling atmosphere and perhaps skip the Chicken Curry.

One of the best indian restaurants in Munich. Do not miss to try their 10 euros brunch on Sundays. Loved the food and also at a very prime location in Munich. The staff is very friendly.

Very small restaurant, you smell a lot of food afterwards. Food ok, nothing special. You don't get anything on the house like you often get with other Indians (papadam or liqueur). Prices are ok, but no invoice is issued and sometimes amounts are charged that are much higher than what is shown on the card. Tip: always ask for an invoice and check again

Service: 1. Even after pushing the waiter to come back after 2 mins as others went to restroom, the waiter keep coming back in every 30secs to get the order. To get rid of him, we ordered some drinks. 2. We ordered Gobi Manchurian as starter. When asked for Kethcup, the waiter told everything is inside and don't ask anything. So rude! 3. We ordered "Indian Spicy" level food. But food was very bland. When asked the waiter (he already observed we speaking in Kannada), he told " What to do sir, all are your people. We tell something, they do something. They are from village ". Didn't like the intention at all! Cleanliness: Very dull environment inside. Table, chairs and all furniture needs an upgrade. Toilet is also very smelly and dirty. Food: Food was not spicy even after being mentioning to make it.

Really enjoyed the food! I would honestly it’s better than “Madam Chutney”. The place was smaller and felt more like a family kitchen and the food was just as good! Everything on the menu that we ordered was amazing! The staff was super nice and accommodating for a party of 7. I highly recommend this place for great Indian food.

The waiters are cheats, I asked them specifically if rice/roti comes with the item I'm ordering and they said no you've to order it separately. Once he served my food then he said rice comes along with it whether I need it anymore. I told him that I asked you about it, he kept pointing to the POS machine to pay the bill and smiled. Frauds!

I ordered through ubereats with the 2 for 1 promotion. The Chicken Jalfrezi tasted like a normal tomato sauce with very tough meat. I don't understand why the quality decreases so much with such promotions, then you shouldn't offer something like that. Better than offering bad food. The soup that I ordered with it was not included in the promotion, but at least it was very tasty! Will not order here again in the future.

I ordered from Indian Mango via UberEats as they had a 2 for 1 promotion. The delivery took over 1 hour, during which time a driver canceled the trip and another driver had to be found. Of course the food arrived very cold and it wasn't tasty either. My friend and I opened our delivery and couldn't believe it. We received two portions but when we opened the box there was only one portion in total. I can understand that the restaurant would want to save a little on the portion with such a promotion, but as you can see from the photos, it wasn't even close to half full. And in one “portion” there were only 4 pieces of meat! An absolute disgrace. I will never order here again.

Absolutely DISGUSTING Place. I seriously urge health inspectors to check both the kitchen and seating area, which were in awful condition. Terrible experience at this restaurant. We arrived at 2:30 pm, and despite the 3 pm closing time, the waiter rushed us to order. Even though we weren’t ready, he kept pushing us to hurry up. We ended up ordering the first things we saw on the menu just to get him off our backs. While waiting, my friend and I went to the restroom, which is next to the kitchen. We could clearly see the chef sitting on the floor eating, and the kitchen itself looked filthy—nowhere near acceptable standards. We ordered daal, rice, bhindi masala, and palak paneer. The food was bland, the bhindi was undercooked, and it felt like it was all thrown together quickly, not made fresh. While eating, the waiter came over with the bill and stared at us, clearly wanting us to leave. To make things worse, the waiter started eating in front of us, using his fingers right near the food prep area. One waiter even kept making uncomfortable eye contact with me, while another (the one who took the order) had visible food stains on his uniform and was sweating. They also began shutting down the grills while we were still eating. The whole experience—from the rude staff to the terrible food—was disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and we left without finishing our meal due to how uncomfortable we felt.

Very satisfied. Had the south Indian brunch on Sunday. Very good sambas and vada! We only paid just under €30 including drinks. Great price performance ratio

I wouldn't call this place a "restaurant", it's more of a "snack bar". It looks old and dingy. The surfaces and dishes feel sticky. The kitchen staff also seemed somehow unkempt. Dirty, wait... The food from the lunch menu tastes like it has been warmed up. I'm not going there again.

While you walk towards deutsches meuseum from Isartor S Bahn station, you will spot this restaurant. I went in July(summer time) so they had an outdoor seating which was cute. The staff is so so sweet here and they go extra mile to help you. You will feel authentic indian taste in their food as I can vouch for it. The chef and the staff is from India and their Mango lassi is amazing!!!!❤️

I would not recommend eating here. I was there at the least busy hour of the day today( 4 pm). The place was understaffed. The waiter was rude and exhausted, looking after the place all by himself. I specifically asked him for a drink twice, which he didn't serve until I was half done with my meal. He was also interested in unsolicited remarks about our order, which I found totally unnecessary and a mockery of my choices. The food was also not up to the mark. Overcooked chicken and bland gravy made it less appealing and failed to savor the whole meal. This is one of the worst waiter experiences I have ever had in Germany.

Great restaurant in Munich— lots of Indian clientele (ourselves included) so you know it’s authentic. We were visiting Munich and happened upon this little hidden treasure. It wasn’t busy when we arrived but after half an hour, the entire two dining areas and outside were completely full. Not to mention they have a busy take out business as well. We ordered the butter chicken and the spinach paneer. Both excellent and the second night even more garlicky! I definitely recommend this restaurant with the friendly wait staff.

We recently ate here for the first time and loved it. It was really busy, but the waiter was very attentive. Never had such good onion bahji! They were excellent. We were also impressed by the main courses. Chili paneer and kahari paneer were really delicious and highly recommended, but we were particularly impressed by one specialty (forgotten name) with vegan balls. Chai, mango lassi and mango spritzer were also great. We can only recommend it, but it is also very well attended!

Decided to go this place for dinner while looking for Indian food options while on vacation in Munich and couldn’t have been happier with the choice. The server , I think his name was Rakesh, was just amazing. Was very friendly and attentive. He made the whole experience so much better. We went there 2 days in a row for dinner and everything we ordered was so tasty. We had the Panner masala, chicken kadai, chicken biryani with butter naans. The portions are good and the price is so reasonable. Per person price comes to around €9-10! All main dishes come with basmati rice. Would strongly recommend this place if you are looking for Indian food in Munich.

Super delicious Indian food and delivered very quickly with Über eats!

Definitely worth the time. I ordered the Butter Chicken with garlic naan (Total €17.15) and I wasn't harshly disappointed. The butter chicken wasn't traditionally sweet but rather had flavour profiles of chicken tikka masala, which was also enhanced due to the chilli flakes added. But I'd prefer it if they added honey or some sweetening agent to it. But it was enjoyable. The garlic naan, however, was a shortcoming. The naan dried out rather quickly and became hard, due to the lack of butter/oil and I couldn't really get the flavour of the garlic, maybe it just happened with me, but I was a bit disappointed. The portion sizes are fit for one person per sitting, I doubt it could be shared. The owner and staff are very happy and welcoming with smiles on their faces and the ambiance really gives indian feels to it. Would definitely eat here again, and maybe even bring a friend.

We went to have the Insta reel famous South Indian buffet....however the insta influences did not tell that it is not a buffet but a Thali where the quality is limited...talking about food...sambar hardly had imli taste and it was so diluted in water had to tell if sambar masala was cooked with water or water was cooked with sambar masala...filter coffee was just like what we get in IRCTC pantry...dosa was good but it was so small that it can come in your hand completely....the only thing that was good was medu wada and kesar halwa...I would request the so call insta influences to be transparent and not make unrealistic reels just for views

Less Quantity I availed buy one get one offer from uber eats and picked up parcel (Chicken Jalfrezi) myself. On opening the box I got to know that the quantity was significantly less than usual. Combined quantity of two portions was even less than a single. Restaurant is now properly fooling via uber eats, czz on raising an issue on uber eats they asked me to deal with the restaurant itself! I am visiting this restaurant since Dec 2021 so I know usual quantities of particular dish. I hope this feedback would make some positive changes. In the video and image one can see how less the quantity was!

Best brunch in Munich. We went for the Sunday brunch. It came with kesari, medu wada, masala dosa, rice, sambar, two types of chutneys. The sambar and chutney were refilled. It also included filter coffee. The food was tasty and filling. The brunch was 10€ per person. The chef, waiters and all the people were very polite and friendly.
