We've visited Edo several times. It's one of our favorite restaurants in Limburg and the surrounding area. We love Edo – top quality, friendly service, and simply delicious food. The plates are beautifully presented; it's truly a feast for the eyes! Authentic Japanese cuisine. Cozy and stylishly furnished. You feel right at home. We'll definitely be back.

A fine Japanese restaurant. It offers the full range of Japanese cuisine, including sushi, ramen, udon, teppanyaki, and much more. The service is quick and friendly; even when the restaurant is full, you only have to wait a short time for your food. Highly recommended!

Very friendly, very delicious, always worth a visit!

The food was unfortunately not very good. I'll just mention one particularly annoying point: I had W6 breaded king prawns. There was far too much lettuce mixed in with the not-very-large prawns. It hadn't been dried after washing and completely diluted the peanut sauce. And tomatoes in Japanese food??? My companion wasn't really impressed with the meal either.

The best sashimi fish quality! Even better than in Düsseldorf (Little Japan) It's pricey, but you should treat yourself. It's worth the money!

Great food! I've been there twice now. The service is excellent every time, with friendly and attentive young people! The ambiance is also very appealing; the only slight drawback is the rather cramped seating arrangement. But everything else more than makes up for it!

On the recommendation of our children, we went to the Japanese restaurant edo in Limburg, and we weren't disappointed. Since we cook fresh meals ourselves daily, mostly using unprocessed ingredients, our standards are quite high – I don't want to pay for something when eating out that I could have prepared more cheaply and better at home. However, the visit to edo was absolutely worthwhile: The food was carefully prepared with the finest ingredients, beautifully presented, and tasted superb. You can tell that they work with great skill and attention to detail. The service was also very attentive and friendly, which further enhanced the positive overall impression. The ambiance is pleasant and nice, but it doesn't stand out from other restaurants in the same way as the cuisine. For me, a restaurant visit is still something special – and this one fully lived up to that promise. We started with an appetizer platter for two, followed by one assorted sushi and one grilled tuna.

Today was our first time at Edo. The decor is beautiful, harmonious, and offers a peaceful atmosphere. We started with Edo's tapas for two and were absolutely delighted. For our main course, we had a sashimi platter that was both expertly prepared and incredibly flavorful, along with crispy, tender grilled salmon – wow! For dessert, we ordered the dessert for two. All the desserts were delicious. We felt very comfortable today. Next time, however, we would skip the desserts and focus solely on the savory dishes. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. ❤️

Edo is a real asset to Limburg's culinary scene, offering high-quality and delicious Japanese food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. The prices are therefore absolutely justified.

I've been to Edo several times now for various occasions and am always delighted. Most recently, I made a reservation online for myself and two other guests, which worked perfectly, and I've made some great memories. There's plenty of parking in the city hall parking garage directly across the street. Upon entering, the restaurant has a very clean feel, but it's more modern Japanese than traditional. The only thing that could be improved is the passage to the kitchen, which was draped with a kind of flag bearing Japanese characters. To the left of the entrance, you can also see illuminated refrigerators stocked with whole tuna and dry-aged Wagyu beef. The restaurant has about 20 tables in total, arranged in an L-shape along the large counter, starting at the entrance. For our meal, we had several appetizers (soup, seaweed salad, chicken), all of which were excellent. For the main course, we had ramen and a sushi platter, which was the highlight. The sushi chef prepares the platter right there in the restaurant, so you can watch. The platter sits on ice and is a small work of art; you almost hesitate to eat it. For drinks, we had ginger tea, homemade lemonade, and Japanese beer. The sake is also highly recommended. The service was always attentive, even refilling wasabi, for example. With appetizers and drinks, we spent about €50 per person at the restaurant, which is perfectly reasonable for what you get. I'll definitely be back!

I'm not a big fan of sushi, but there was still plenty of choice among the Japanese noodle dishes and meat skewers. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. It definitely justifies the slightly higher price. The interior is beautifully decorated with warm colors and wooden accents. In the summer, you can also sit outside among the attractively arranged flowerpots on the alley in front of the restaurant. The service was friendly, and we were even able to get a seat at the counter at the last minute when there were no more tables available.

The selection was perfectly curated, the portion was just right for one person, and the taste was absolutely top-notch, especially the sashimi. I also had a sake maki, which was equally fantastic. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was very pleasant and stylish. You can tell that attention is paid to every detail, from the restaurant's design to the high-quality plates and metal chopsticks. For me, this is one of the best sushi restaurants I've ever visited. It's a shame I don't live nearby, otherwise I'd be a regular. Anyone who loves sushi will love Edo Restaurant.

It wasn't okay to have to wait despite having a reservation and not even be offered a drink. It wasn't just that, and it wasn't that bad. The lemonade didn't taste of pineapple at all. The only comment I made was that there was a piece of pineapple floating in it. I won't be coming back.

The food is sensationally good, a definite recommendation. However, the service somewhat dampened the mood. I booked the table eight days in advance. When we were shown to our table, we were told that we would have to be ready exactly one hour later, as a group was arriving. That just doesn't make a very good impression on a first visit. We hurried and made it. In this price range, this shouldn't happen.

That's precisely why you feel not just like a guest here, but almost like a bit of home. For us, Edo is far from just a restaurant; it's a place we enjoy returning to again and again. If you want to enjoy excellent food in Limburg, you definitely can't go past Edo. A clear 5 stars – you can't get more than that!

Simply a fantastic all-round package. The food is delicious (I can only speak for the vegetarian/vegan starters and the vegetarian platter), the service is attentive and well-trained. The light background music, featuring piano versions of the charts, is also excellent. I'd definitely go back!

I work in a kitchen too , in Limburg. And i got to say that the food was so delicious 🤤 and service in the other side they were so welcoming. The ambience were one of a kind low light and everything was matching the vibe of the restaurant.

Highly recommended Japanese restaurant

I absolutely love Asian food and chicken, so I ordered the Crazy Chicken. The service was excellent, but the salad mixed in with the chicken and noodles completely ruined the taste. It didn't taste right, so I only finished the dish because it had just been ordered and was on the table. Without this flavor-destroyer, the meat and noodles might not have been outstanding, but they would have tasted okay. But you couldn't get something like that for the price. I don't know what the chef was thinking. I'd rather go to a Chinese restaurant with a buffet, which is cheaper and tastier.

The price was a bit shocking. It's gotten more expensive, and the portions for two people are comparatively smaller. Good fish is expensive, but now I'll probably eat there even less often.

The food was perfectly balanced, very tasty, and highly recommended if you want to eat healthy. The drinks were equally delicious. The only downside was that the kitchen started cleaning and vacuuming the dining area at a quarter to nine, even though the restaurant is open until 10 p.m. That shouldn't be done in a restaurant like this. It's not appropriate.

The Edo restaurant in Limburg is an excellent address for everyone who appreciates Japanese cuisine and especially sushi. The dishes are freshly prepared, beautifully presented and taste really convincing, it seems very high quality. The modern, stylish ambience creates a pleasant atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. The staff is also extremely friendly, attentive and contributes to an all-round successful visit. The only point of criticism is the relatively high prices. Maybe a little too expensive for a regular visit - but definitely worth it for a special evening or a good meal in company. Taste and service are convincing.
