The story of the evening... or... if you give away or plan the table 4 to 5 times in the evening...! First of all... I don't understand all the good reviews. Did we have a bad day? Was our waiter in a hurry? What happened to the friendly Edo Limburg? Just want to serve as many guests as possible in one evening so that a maximum of 1 hour or 1.5 hours per table can be planned? What happened: we had reserved a table for 3. We were on time and were shown to our table. Menus have been handed out. We've been to Edo Limburg once so far and it was really great. No comparison to today. The waiter came back quite quickly to take our drinks. Oh, we were happy about such fast service here…. But we still needed a moment... Then the drinks were taken and we asked directly about the food. But we weren't there yet. Drinks came, we asked again about the food but we weren't 100% sure yet... What was noticeable... the sushi offer has been extremely reduced... but the prices have gone up. No inside outs, nothing fancy. I was happy about a good selection of sushi but was very disappointed. The desire for sushi was still there. We also treated ourselves to an appetizer. Ordered and the appetizer came very quickly. Looks and tastes really good. We had a great time and wanted to enjoy a quiet and, above all, relaxing evening... . …. After the first setback with the sushi selection came the next one... The main course came... it's just a shame that I wasn't finished with my starter yet. My plate was simply placed in the fourth empty seat…. We had 2x sushi and one warm meal as a main course. How can it happen in a restaurant like this that you can't wait until the starters are eaten in peace? I finished eating, my plate was cleared straight away with the last bite. I then took my plate with the main course from the other side of the table. The look and taste was great! But…. It's an absurdity that when there are three of you sitting at the table, the other two have already eaten, their empty plates are simply cleared away and you sit alone at the table with your plate and continue eating. The relaxation that I want to have when I go to a restaurant with friends and pay a lot of money for it - no, I have to be able to expect to eat and enjoy in peace. People came and went... The tables were not yet free again and new guests are “parked” at the counter…. I didn't finish my sushi. To be honest, I've lost my appetite. I don't want to be treated like: "order, eat, pay and leave" No more drinks were asked... , there was no response to friendly criticism... (I pointed out the reduced sushi menu and also that I no longer felt like eating alone) Our waiter wasn't unfriendly, but I would just define it as rude. There was far too much stress and in the end we simply weren't served until we asked for the bill. Going out and enjoying an evening in a restaurant with friends means relaxation. I don't want - and am not prepared - to put a lot of money on the table - only to be rushed through by the “service” staff because the next guests are already waiting at the counter. After the waiter didn't receive a tip, we didn't get a "goodbye" when we left - good, but that won't happen any time soon anyway!

Food tastes very good. The quality of the Shushi is also completely convincing. However, despite making a reservation, we had to wait 30 minutes for the table. It's okay for this to happen once, unfortunately it has already happened more often.

From a visual, auditory, olfactory and of course gustatory perspective, you can truly say that a visit to Edo is an incredible experience for the senses. Edo has been on our “places to go” list for a long time. On a child-free Saturday evening we tried our luck without a reservation. Initially we were asked to come back at a later date as there was no free table (so be sure to reserve in advance, even if there are two people). However, at the specified time, as promised, we were allowed to sit in a small, cozy corner. The extremely friendly welcome in the restaurant is accompanied by a pleasant scent of lemongrass and delicate spices (at least that's what my nose perceived). Discreet music plays in the background, the volume of which is perfectly adjusted and does not disturb the conversation at all. The service was first class. Despite the restaurant being fully booked, our orders were taken and served in a reasonable time frame. The service didn't seem rushed or overwhelmed and looked after us very attentively, courteously and always smiling. The selection on the menu is clear and anything but standard. The Edo stands out for its creative and beautifully draped dishes - true to the motto "The eye eats with you". And that scent again, heavenly 😇We were thrilled with the taste. Both fish and meat were cooked to the perfect point, the sauces were brilliant and everything just came together. The dessert variation for two was a dream 🥰🤤 The rooms are not overly large. Because there are so many tables, the coziness is lost a little bit, but we can easily overlook that 😉 You definitely have to be aware: If you're looking for an extensive buffet and low prices, as well as expecting portion sizes that you'll never want to eat again, you're in the wrong place at Edo! However, if you appreciate exquisite Japanese cuisine, value good service and a “well-rounded” evening and are looking for culinary pampering, you should definitely go there ❤️ We will definitely be back!

However, the heart of Edo is undoubtedly the food. The sushi creations are of the highest quality, prepared with exquisite ingredients and artfully presented. Every roll, every piece demonstrates the attention to detail and understanding of authentic Japanese cuisine. You can literally taste the freshness and dedication with which they work here. The unobtrusive, harmoniously selected background music completes the experience and creates an atmospheric backdrop that allows you to completely immerse yourself in the moment and enjoy the meal to the fullest. All in all, the Edo in Limburg deserves my unreserved recommendation. Five stars for an all-round perfect gastronomic experience!

Very nice and chic restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food was also super tasty and the homemade lemonade was super super delicious. The only drawback was the long wait, although with so much going on it's understandable. I would recommend it.

Mega beautiful & pleasant, best service and incredibly good food

The food and everything surrounding it was very good. I think the drinks prices are excessive. A cup of tea for 5 euros or a large bottle of water for 7.50 euros. At some point it's good. I find it exaggerated. But that was the only downer.

The ambience is modern and beautiful. I was there at lunchtime, it wasn't very busy. The food was okay, but there was a lack of seasoning and the tofu was absolutely tasteless. The biggest criticism was the service. The waiter was unfriendly and seemed annoyed, you didn't feel welcome at all. He stood at the counter bored, good service looks different. An absolute no go! The bill was accepted reluctantly, no receipt for it and no farewell or appreciation. I will never visit the restaurant again and cannot recommend it!

Not cheap and the portions aren't exactly big though Great selection very well prepared and excellent presentation on the plates.

So, I have to say that the sushi was very good, nicely presented, and the taste was also very good. But I expected more from the udon with duck and other food I ordered was also good, but not excellent. I would give it 4.2-4.4 max. But it doesn't work, so I rounded it down to 4. Plus we waited almost an hour, it's too long...but definitely worth a recommendation when it comes to the sushi

We ordered a table for 6 p.m. at 8 p.m. But there wasn't a table available. After 40 minutes of waiting in the hallway and almost no attention, we left again. I've never experienced anything like that.

Great restaurant, tastefully decorated in a simple Japanese style. Very tasty dishes that offer everything you could want for the palate and the eye. The service was very nice, unfortunately a wine we ordered was served with a delay, but that doesn't stop us from giving it 5 stars given the beautiful and successful evening!😀

A pure taste explosion! You can taste the original ingredients e.g. lemongrass!! The chicken boillion, awesome everything else too!! An atmosphere in a class of its own!! Absolutely worth the money!! You can also sit outside!! Not comparable to a Chinese restaurant!! An experience like sitting in an unknown world!! The food was very well prepared!! A very nice evening in a very nice restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the food was excellent.

Nice atmosphere with delicious food. Unfortunately, every time (on two visits) you first have to wait in the entrance until you are assigned the reserved table. On our last visit, two of us were allowed to sit at a table for four, only to be moved to a table for two 10 minutes later. The single glazing ensured a permanent draft. The service itself is friendly. Even if, in my opinion, there is still a lack of perfect service here and there, we will definitely come back.

The shop is quite nice and the conditions are all nice. We found the food to be rather average, you can get it elsewhere (although without dry ice fog) but also cheaper.

Very, very tasty food. We had the Diamond Roll, Sushi and Surf and Turf. So it's a bit of everything and it's really highly recommended. A little expensive but good quality.

While this was not my favorite sushi in Limburg, it had other options for people who don’t want just sushi (which is a definite bonus when you have a group). All the food we tried was good and the service and presentation was even better. Really nice restaurant, but a little on the more expensive side. You may have to make a reservation as they are often busy.

As always, simply delicious. The service is right. Everyone is super friendly. No long waiting times.

We decided to celebrate a birthday with friends at this place. We ordered traditional udon noodles and ramen. Udon turned out to be delicious, but ramen was simply impossible to eat, ramen was ordered by two people, and the impressions were the same, the meat was literally raw and bitter, and the soup itself was absolutely without spices and salt, with an abundant Amount of sesame oil. It was particularly unpleasant when the waiter was informed about this, and he said that this dish just didn't suit us, and that's how it should taste, and that the next table also ordered it, and no one complained. It was very unpleasant because I am a fan of ramen and I order it anytime and anywhere and I know exactly what the taste should be. The waiter did not offer to remedy this situation in any way, but simply took the untouched plate of ramen as if it was meant to be. The evening and the holiday were spoiled, the money was spent on a dish that could not be eaten. I don't recommend this place to anyone. It was a mistake to celebrate a birthday at this place

I don't eat sushi because I have a fish allergy, but Japanese food is so much more like sushi. I found it extremely tasty, very attractively presented and the service was excellent. We will come back in any case.

As always, the sushi was very, very tasty. After ordering, appetizers and drinks came very quickly. Also later the sushi and other drinks. There is a deduction for the waiting time. We had reserved a table for two people for 8 p.m. (and had it confirmed) and sat down at that same table at 8:45 p.m. If you accept a reservation for 8 p.m., it would be good to get a table promptly.

We have already visited the EDO several times. Spontaneous, lunch and evening hours. I recommend making reservations in the evening. Our favorites Spicy tuna salad Chicken teriyaki with green asparagus.

Basically, I'm not so generous with superlatives. But I have to say that everything was to our complete satisfaction. In addition to the fact that the food was really very good, the serving with dry ice mist also played a role. I had the sushi plate made by the chef of the house. It was fresh, varied and simply delicious. The service was courteous but not intrusive. All in all a very nice evening. We will be back.
