Ristorante Jimmy in Weilburg

My son and I wanted to end our vacation with a delicious schnitzel, and Jimmy's was recommended to us. Our first shock came when we saw the menu: prices like those in a fancy restaurant. We ordered anyway, as they said the food was very good. Far from it! We got a pressed, convenience schnitzel (for that price, I'd at least expected a piece of meat) with fries and a side salad. The value for money is completely out of the question; the food is not recommended. The pizza dough had no flavor, and the spinach pizza tasted like a garlic clove. We won't be coming back. I live in a big city, and I don't pay prices like that here.

We love Jimmy's Restaurant. The beautiful beer garden and the stylish ambiance of the restaurant invite you to enjoy a cozy meal. Very friendly service and delicious, fresh food. We've been coming here for over 20 years and are always delighted. The new team has continued to create a great atmosphere at Jimmy's. Mediterranean dishes with fish, seafood, meat, pasta, pizza, and dolce, rounded off with a very large selection of the finest wines, beers, cocktails, and soft drinks. We always enjoy coming back and also enjoy using the gourmet section, which is how we first discovered Jimmy's Restaurant many years ago. We've since returned here with many of our friends after a canoe trip on the Lahn, a convertible, or a bike tour, and everyone who attended has been absolutely thrilled!

We come here for dinner 2-3 times a year. It's always very good, and you're always in good hands, both in the restaurant and in the beer garden. We'd love to come back!

Mini rump steak, ordered medium but received well-done. Grilled chicken breast fillet left on the grill too long, very spicy. Cancelled salad but still charged. Will never see each other again; there are better restaurants.

Unfortunately, we weren't entirely satisfied with our visit. When the waiter arrived, we could only order drinks and then had to wait a bit longer before ordering food, even though we had already requested this when ordering drinks. When the food arrived, there was a dead fly on the pizza, and when we later complained about this, we received only a half-hearted apology. Otherwise, the service was unfortunately not very satisfactory. The food was otherwise good.

I somehow imagined it would be better...the pizzas weren't good, unfortunately. Any kebab shop can do just as well, or even better. I expected a lot more for the money. The beer garden is nice.

Delicious food, but unfortunately disappointing service. We would have originally given it 5 stars – the food was really good. But the service unfortunately ruined the entire evening. After an initially polite welcome, we waited quite a long time for the menu and later even longer for food and drinks – even though the restaurant was hardly busy. Other guests who arrived after us were served before us. When we politely asked, the waiter reacted very rudely and rudely, later even shouting loudly across the room, asking how long we had been waiting – very unpleasant for everyone. Discontent was also palpable at other tables, and it became increasingly restless. Overall, a very unpleasant atmosphere that spoiled a lovely evening. A real shame – especially for the kitchen, which does a really good job. We won't be back. It was also unpleasant that the waitress complained about other guests when guests asked questions.

Absolutely consistent service, fresh produce on the daily menu, "black" pasta is also available, asparagus cream soup was delicious, a special pasta request was accommodated, and a small "nightcap" is also offered on the house. Highly recommended. 😃👍

Delicious food, attentive service, great place, always good

For years, my friends and I have been visiting Jimmy's Restaurant, known locally as "Guntersau." The owners and their staff are very hardworking people who know what good service should look like. The food is excellent, and the value for money is very good.

A nice restaurant, prompt service, tasty food, and decent prices. It also has a terrace, and the parking lot is big enough.

We have been here a couple of times during our bike rides. These photos are from May 2022. The restaurant is close to a bike path and makes it easy to stop grab a bite to eat and then continue on the ride. The service is fast and the pizza tastes delicious. We ordered a pizza, garlic shrimp scampi and French fries. Everything tasted very good. This restaurant is usually busy whenever we have gone but we always had a table right away. I would recommend this place for food during a bike ride in and out of Weilburg, Germany.

First time at Jimmys under the new ownership. The staff was very friendly and the food was on the table in good time. Full marks for the service! The only point of criticism was my pizza, the look and taste reminded me very much of a frozen pizza. Unfortunately the worst pizza in a long time. I have to positively mention the meat dishes and the salads, which were very well received, from the schnitzel to the rump steak.

We went to Jimmy's Restaurant for lunch today. Large selection of food. Our pizzas were good and tasty, but something was still missing for me to give it a 5 star rating. Service also courteous and quick. Ambience is good, relatively large. Which is definitely a good thing if you can sit outside in the summer. Looked very inviting. Price performance very good. I would recommend the restaurant.

Nice restaurant with a terrace. Everything was renovated by the new owner and transformed into an impressive ambience. Just the wine wall when you come in is great. Rump steak with herb butter, fries and salad: Rump steak as tender as I've ever had anywhere else, cooking point medium perfectly, fries super crispy but not hard, salad beautifully presented and with a very tasty dressing. Service and boss very nice and accommodating, prices absolutely reasonable. There could only be a little more parking space, but that in no way reduces the 5 stars. Highly recommended!

As always, a great visit! By far our favorite restaurant in the area. A wide selection of dishes, and every single one tastes truly amazing. Despite Valentine's Day and the busyness, the service was incredibly fast, super friendly, and above all, everyone was extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu and always had an answer to any questions. 😊 We will be back, as always. 👌😊

On weekends, at lunchtime, you should definitely make a reservation. Very nice staff. When the restaurant is full, it is very noisy in the restaurant. We'll probably only come if we can sit in the beer garden. The rump steak was perfect but the loin was very dry. The dishes came very quickly and looked nicely prepared.

I'm here about every 6 weeks and have yet to be disappointed. Very good service and excellent food. I always make a reservation because the restaurant is usually busy.

We were there with friends last week. The staff very friendly, polite and extremely attentive. I think it's nicer to sit outside in the summer, but it's also quite pleasant inside. The salad ordered as a starter was very good and afterwards the pizza was exceptionally good and very, very tasty. There are also enough parking spaces, we will definitely come back.

There is enough parking space, very nice reception, large enough food portions, great atmosphere, my steak was cooked to perfection, the toilets were clean, you can sit outside in the warm weather, there is even a small playground! If we're ever in the area again, we'd be happy to come back. However, reservations should be made.

The food was great, the service and staff were super friendly (I've never experienced anything like that before) and the atmosphere, no matter where you sit, whether on the beautiful outdoor terrace, in the winter garden or in the back in the cozy corner, is inviting to feel good. If you are a foreigner, walk past, because in a completely empty square you will be asked to move to another place - God forbid you sit in the middle. Your spot in the corner Your order may not be accepted for an hour, but when it's accepted it's like dragons are raging. There is such a beautiful landscape here. Just grab some sandwiches and beer from the nearest supermarket. You will experience nothing but verbal abuse in this place

The food was absolutely great. But only someone came to ask about reordering drinks. Very nice places outside under the parasol. The toilets were very dark, I wanted to turn on the light on my cell phone so that I couldn't see anything at all.

We had the rump steak (medium rare) with herb butter, fries and salad. The rump steak was on point, the fries were nice and crispy and the salad dressing was also very tasty 😋. The staff is friendly and the service is good. In summer you can also use the terrace. The entire restaurant impresses with its ambience, which is cozy despite its size. You feel good.

Hello, after many good experiences with friends, we thought we should try it out. Unfortunately, it was a failure at its best. Schnitzel wafer-thin, firm and dry. Not seasoned. Onions slightly burnt. Well, you could live with that if they also tasted like onions. The "boiled potatoes without salt. Apparently briefly tossed in oil (I have no idea what they were actually tossed in but it wasn't edible). The fries were over-seasoned. If you want to sell a lot of drinks you can do it... I can't say anything about other dishes. However, one thing is certain for us: never again... Price/performance doesn't fit at all. Tastes are different, but we are not demanding and leaving the restaurant hungry is a new experience. Service was friendly, but only came after you had finished eating (perhaps because you could otherwise have negative experiences beforehand? Who knows) Ambiance is also great. But these are 2 factors that are not sufficient if you want to eat here.

We were here as a group today and despite the 30 people, 30 orders, it went relatively quickly. The service was friendly and the food was very, very tasty and really sufficient. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to have dessert because it was closed at 2:15 p.m., but we were full and satisfied. I had pike perch fillet with lemon butter sauce and white wine, the house brand, at a pleasant temperature. I mean something different by fried potatoes, but it was still very tasty.

Unfortunately it was just average that day!

There were four of us for dinner, but the price/performance ratio wasn't right. The 0.25 liter. House wine for €8.50 and a small mineral water €3.50, the apple wine 0.5 liters. just as expensive as a wheat beer €4.50. We will look for an alternative if we go to the concert in Weilburg again and don't go there anymore😁

First of all, the food was very tasty. The portions are very small for the money, a shame. If you then express criticism, you have to discuss it with the waiter, so far so good. Suddenly I'm the "brother" of the waiter (or boss), but I don't have a brother🤔. There were four of us and everyone was still hungry, despite the starter. Unfortunately we had to go back to the golden “M”. We won't be visiting Jimmy's again!

The food tasted good, but unfortunately the portions were very small (especially for the money). After eating you are asked if everything was OK. If you answer honestly that the food was good, but unfortunately the portions were too small, you will not be treated nicely and will even be insulted (not even in German). There were 4 of us there and each of us was still hungry afterwards. We've never experienced anything like this before! I'm happy to spend a little more money for good food, but that was really outrageous!

Absolute failure. When we reserved a table, we asked in advance whether there were also plant-based dishes available. They said, clearly yes, that wasn't a problem, they had everything there, including vegan pizza. When we wanted to order pizzas on site we were looked at confused and told that there was no vegan pizza and that there was even milk in the dough itself. The only dish that was left was pasta in an oil brine, which unfortunately tasted quite off and the cherry tomatoes mentioned on the menu couldn't be found. The juice that came fresh from the packaging was apparently forgotten to shake and was flaky. After this experience we continued hungry. It's a shame that you can't rely on what the employees say on the phone and there are no suitable alternatives or the slightest flexibility on site. One star because the nature in the area is very beautiful.

You can sit outside wonderfully and there is a playground for children. The food tasted very tasty, the service was great.

We were there for dinner today. I had schnitzel with fries. I even found the schnitzel meat between the breading. Luckily the plate had a nice blue pattern so that you couldn't immediately see the frying fat from the fries and the schitzel on the plate. For the money I've gotten much better schnitzels elsewhere. Therefore only 2 stars

Worth taking into consideration if you pass through these parts, the service is excellent and the waiters are very helpful. I gave 4 stars to the food and environment because the quality is in line with the various restaurants I have visited in Germany with some differences compared to other places. They also make pizza which I wouldn't know how to evaluate as abroad I tend to distance myself from Italian food such as pasta and pizza.
