A very cozy and nicely decorated restaurant. The food is always delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. One young waiter in particular made a lasting impression on me with his easygoing manner. 😄 However, I'm deducting one star for the ambiance because it gets too noisy when the place is full.

I'd only heard good things about this restaurant and finally decided to try it myself. The service was excellent, and they accommodated individual requests without any problems, such as a vegetarian appetizer platter. The dishes were absolutely fantastic. From the appetizers to all the main courses and dessert, it was a true culinary journey. I haven't had such good tofu in a long time, and the rest of the food was just as impressive. All in all, a really great place. I highly recommend going there and enjoying the meal.

The sushi is absolutely delicious, and everything is fresh! The service is excellent; you don't have to wait long. The sushi platters are always beautifully presented, I simply love it there. The atmosphere is also pleasant, making it easy to have a conversation. I highly recommend it; I always enjoy going there! ☺️ I would suggest making a reservation on weekends.

I visited Edo in Weilburg and was absolutely thrilled. The sushi is incredibly fresh, creatively presented, and simply tastes fantastic – especially the mixed platters with the cool mist effect, which are a real eye-catcher. The service was friendly and attentive, drinks arrived quickly, and special requests were no problem. The price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect for the quality. It's currently my go-to place in Weilburg when I'm in the mood for sushi.

A nice, small Japanese restaurant in Weilburg's old town. Extensive menu, including vegetarian, meat, and fish options. Deliciously prepared, beautifully presented, and superbly flavorful. Fast, friendly service. The seating is cozy, but that doesn't detract from the experience.

We had a wonderful family lunch with excellent service. The food was incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. Our children were well looked after; there was a children's menu and even children's chopsticks. The entire service team was super friendly, accommodating, and customer-focused. Simply fantastic!

A wonderful Japanese restaurant! First of all, the batter tasted 100% like it does in Japan! Simply amazing! Everything tasted amazing, everything was beautifully presented, and we received very friendly service. Of course, it comes at a price, but I'm happy to pay for everything they offer! Despite a reservation, we had to sit outside. The main course didn't arrive until an hour later, after we had asked for it. It was quite tasty, but cold. Very expensive for the service. A shame.

We were really looking forward to the meal, but the air in the restaurant was so heavily perfumed (there are scent sticks on the tables) that we couldn't stand it. After a short while, it even started to sting our eyes. It's amazing that no one seems to mind. We stopped eating before ordering. Unfortunately, the staff didn't understand what the problem was. We won't be back.

Quality and presentation, portion size absolutely high class and worth 5 stars. Unfortunately the atmosphere is very small and cramped. It was very busy and therefore very loud. In summer you can also sit outside. However, you are sitting in the middle of the pedestrian zone. That's why I only give it 3 stars for the ambience.

We were on vacation in Weilburg and wanted to have both lunch and dinner at Edo on a Tuesday. We always stood in front of closed doors even though the website doesn't list Tuesday as a day of rest. There was an “open” sign on the door, but the door was still closed??? Incomprehensible and outrageous. Then you shouldn't bring tourists into the city

Anytime, happy to pay high prices but the food was fantastic and the staff were polite and attentive.

If you want really tasty Japanese food, Edo is the place to be. The menu offers an extensive choice of sushi, sashimi, teppan-yaki and more. We couldn't choose, so we went for the 6-course Omakase. The chef surprised us with a variety of delicacies that made us feel heavenly. The service is smooth and calm, the design of the place is quite sleek, with very comfortable chairs.

Were here for the first time and were very impressed. Only the lighting is a little unattractive, something you should think about when you get the chance. The lamps are really blinding when you want to have a conversation with the other person and don't necessarily want to shout at each other from a distance. The service is outstanding! We've never experienced anything like this before, very, very accommodating. Attentive. Friendly. The food was, we can't find words, it was so delicious. Rarely have I eaten such good Japanese food!

I've ordered takeaway several times now. Staff is friendly. But now I have to change my review because the price-performance ratio is no longer right, it has become far too expensive. In other big cities the quality is better and the prices are lower.

The starter, we had the Edo tapas for two people, was very nicely prepared and also tasted great. Unfortunately, our main courses Sushi Chef's Tip and Kamo-Kamo were rather disappointing. Not nearly as lovingly prepared and my wife's end was not properly cooked through and was tough, we complained about this accordingly, the cellar lady took the plate away and brought it back after about 5 minutes, the duck was then really fried and tender, unfortunately both the rice and the side vegetables were cold, we would have liked them to at least be warmed again or even made new. The Sushi Chef's Tip was good but I would have expected much more for the price. For dessert we had Edo sweet dream for 2 people. This consisted of 4 very small half pieces of mochi ice cream, something like fruit (2 pieces of apple, a small piece of orange, 2 small pieces of melon and 4 small currants), a glass of panna cotta and 2 small pieces of dorayaki cake, which was warm but unfortunately very dry. The drinks are extremely expensive at €4 for a small 0.33l cola and €7 for a small homemade lemonade. The lemonade was good but absolutely not worth the price as it was very syrupy. All in all, we paid a total of €127, which we felt was way too expensive for what was on offer. All in all, we both think that the price and performance are not right here. It's a shame because the reviews here promise much more.

It is a small, minimalist/modern restaurant with Japanese influences and could seem sterile, which is continued with calm music. I ordered tea and found the pot and cup, which were decorated with a traditional floral pattern, very beautiful. The food was wonderful, the best sushi of my life. There was a relatively good price for the performance. The food was beautifully presented, like in a star restaurant and the ingredients, namely caviar on the sushi, were reminiscent of that. The service was great, we were there for my birthday celebration and they had decorated extensively to suit the occasion.

The place is nicely decorated, but the focus is on good food and not on staying for a long time, as it almost always seems to be fully booked and therefore has meal slots of 2 hours, which is absolutely understandable.

If I had to describe my visit to Edo Sushi Restaurant with just one word, it would be: exorbitant. From the cozy atmosphere that made you feel like you were sitting in a tree, to the quick service and the amazing taste experience. The food arrived in just 10 minutes, something I've never experienced before given the quality and variety of restaurant food. To say our one-hour stay with Edo's sushi masters was a short trip would be an understatement, because the food here not only stirs the stomach but also the mind. A hit in terms of taste and a new definition when it's time to say "let's go shred sushi".

Great food - the best sushi nearby 🍣 For two people each we had the Edo tapas as a starter and Edo Surprise as the main course, with cool Riesling - everything was just delicious. Very fast and friendly service. Nice atmosphere, just a bit small and cramped.

So Weildorf doesn't give the impression of being the center of international cuisine. But the Edo exceeds all expectations, even if you come from more densely populated areas. The reservation is made online, the service is warm and very attentive (if you drop a napkin and you don't notice it, a fresh one just arrives) and the food is SENSATIONAL. We had the menu and everything from soup to sushi was top notch. 100% must do in Weilburg

I have never had sushi prepared so beautifully!! The eye definitely eats with it. 😍 The sushi as well as the miso soup and the mochi were a dream! Simply amazingly delicious!! The staff is super nice and the location is also very cozy. What I think is particularly good is that little furry friends are also allowed in the restaurant. ☺️

Very disappointing! I haven't been there for a while, the sushi here used to be incredibly good. The sushi rolls are no longer as tasty, they are significantly smaller and the prices are disproportionately high. For 25 euros (see picture) plus 7.50 euros for a bottle of water, I paid a total of 32.50 euros without really feeling full or having a special taste experience. The price-performance ratio is absolutely not right. It's a shame that the restaurant has developed in this direction.

Unfortunately no recommendation. The sushi looks nice, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right at all. The rolls are small and the quality of the fish definitely doesn't match the prices, which are already completely exorbitant. For half the price it would be acceptable sushi.
