Düppe in Münster

Aggressive host who yells at guests. 0 stars if possible. Never again!!!

I've been to the restaurant several times now and would like to share my positive experiences. Reading other reviews, I'm surprised that the staff has been described as unfriendly. I've always found the waiters friendly, attentive, and calm, even during stressful times. Last week, I spontaneously went there with a friend. Even though almost everything was fully booked, we still got a table. Other guests without reservations arrived after us and unfortunately couldn't get a seat. The owner remained calm and explained repeatedly that reserved guests have priority. Even discussions or requests don't change that. Reliability counts here, and that's good and right. It's just a shame when some reviews are used to vent frustration because people didn't get a table (because they didn't have a reservation). That doesn't do the restaurant justice. The food, service, and atmosphere are top-notch – this is exactly what Gremmendorf needed!

What a shame! We wanted to try the new Greek restaurant and can only report that we received such an unfriendly welcome that it was impossible to rate the food, and we won't be coming back! We didn't have a reservation and just walked in at opening time at 5 p.m. (on a Sunday). We didn't call beforehand either, because we assumed they wouldn't be reachable by phone before 5 p.m. Upon entering the restaurant, both owners immediately asked us rudely what we wanted... "Is a table for four possible?" Another rude reply: "That's absolutely impossible, only for two and only until 7 p.m."... Everything was fine, but can it be nice and friendly? We had heard exactly the same thing from other friends before, but somehow blocked it out. We turned around immediately, and I unfortunately had to admit that, as long-time guests at the Düppe, we used to receive a friendlier welcome. The two "innkeepers" laughed heartily again, and we couldn't believe what we had just experienced... A little sad about the bad first experience, but we'd rather remain regulars at Nikos in Hiltrup ☺️...!!!! Perhaps the new tenants don't (yet) feel the need to warmly welcome guests from Gremmendorf?!? Feeling welcome feels different!!!

We went there for dinner with friends. Everything was fantastic. The food was very good 👍 and the service was excellent. We'll definitely be back.

Very good food, sometimes you need to bring a little time and patience, it has its own charm.

I should have eaten at Piraeus in Greven sometime. Highly recommended, delicious, and friendly.

Great food of superb quality. It's great to have a great Greek restaurant in the neighborhood now. The service probably needs to improve a bit 😉 We'll definitely be coming more often now 👍🏻

Very nice atmosphere Great food Would go again

The Düppe has reopened as the Greek restaurant "Piraeus in the Düppe." While some operations weren't quite perfect on opening day, we had a very good meal here, and it was delicious. They offer Greek specialties and vegetarian alternatives at a very good price-performance ratio. A real asset to Gremmendorf.

You can confidently go looking for a GINful evening in Münster. You can definitely find a gem of enjoyment here and there. You can only find a GIN pearl necklace here. Respect and recognition for the GIN of life dear Frank, simply great.

Good inn with very attentive staff and an extensive menu at fair prices. For larger groups: everyone eats at the same time (ideally at 18), but not completely warm. Fried potatoes could be fried a little crispier 😉

Wir kamen auf Empfehlung unseres Hotels und fanden es toll. Sehr gutes Essen, ein freundlicher Eigentümer, keine Schnörkel und gute Preise. Leider über 400km weit weg sonst kämen wir sehr oft wieder!!

Immer wieder eine Überraschung. Was in dieser "Vorort Kneipe" in der Küche gezaubert wird ist ganz großes Kino. Ob Steaks oder Schweinemedaillons im Speckmantel hier passt jedes Gericht. Ganz großes Lob an die Küche. Zudem ist die Gaststätte gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet einen kleinen Biergarten. Inhaber Frank und sein Team sind immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Ein Ort der Genuss und Gemütlichkeit vereint.

Lecker gegessen, lecker getrunken, mit netten Leuten gequatscht, wunderbare Musik gehört vom Duo Corretto…… das alles ist die Düppe!!!! Toller Abend.

Ein leckeres Abendessen - große Portionen - aufmerksamer Service. Vorab gab es Brot mit Kräuterbutter. Wir haben draußen im Biergarten gesessen. Man kann den Eingang leicht übersehen - insofern liegt das Restaurant diskret an der Straße. Gern wieder!

Urige Viertelkneipe in Gremmendorf mit sehr guter Küche. Öfter auch Sonderaktionen beim Essen (Oktoberfest,Schweizer Rösti) Chef und Personal sehr nett. Kleiner schöner Biergarten zum draußen verweilen.

War OK, aber wir hatten relativ kleine Schnitzel und über 1 Stunde Wartezeit... Es war echt nicht voll dort. Geschmacklich alles gut.
