The food is absolutely fine. What is missing, however, is taste. We were there because of the very positive overall rating and unfortunately we cannot confirm it. I had a kebab with meat, tomatoes and onions. There wasn't much to taste of the meat. It The taste can be compared to other skewers (stores). That's not to say it's bad, but it's nothing special either

I came here to try their Berliner Doner. This was highly recommended by the berlinfoodstories website. I thought it was ok, but I don't have others in Berlin to compare to. Communication is difficult, unless you speak German.

Iskender kebab was amazing. Ayran was incredible. Sutlaç was the best turkish desert I have eaten!

Sehr nette Bedienung. Die Zutaten sind frisch und das Essen schmeckt auch so. Gut angerichtet und auch der Tee zum Abschluss war der Hammer! Komme gerne wieder wie schon oft.

Portions are small, you have to use a magnifying glass to find the minced meat in the lahmacun.

In terms of doner style, it is well above the German average. First of all, ready-made ground meat is not doner. It is made according to the doner style in Turkey. The sauce they use for doner is different. I can say neither good nor bad. It wouldn't be on the list of the best doner I've ever eaten, but it's better than eating ready-made doner in Germany. At least I finished it without feeling nauseous like other doner kebabs.

I was in Berlin for the first time in a long time and we ate there at the recommendation of a friend. The 6 Turkish pizzas to serve yourself were amazing. Huge portion for 14.50 and super tasty!

I decided to eat something smaller on the evening of July 19, 2024. My two friends raved about how good the lahmacun and soup there were. The condensation of the soup didn't fit, it was very thick. Both lahmacun we got were burnt, very dry, as if it had not been freshly made. I've known the shop for a while, but the last time I went there was four years ago to eat almost every third day. Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be.

Excellent and authentic food. Despite language barriers, service was nice and quick. Fair price, big portions, tasty food. Can't ask for anything else!

Maten är fantastisk på Doyum, men vi fick tyvärr rätt dålig service. De ignorerade oss när vi kom och sedan sa de att vi var tvungna att betala kontant även om andra kunde betala med kort. Det blir ett dåligt betyg på det stora hela, tyvärr.

My first Döner wraps...will not be my last. Staff was nice and my wrap was one of the best things I've tasted in a long time. **I've now eaten 2 and can honestly say Doyum's was the best!

The price is normal, there is parking space, the taste is good, you have to eat it when you are hungry, the service is below zero (it would be better if the short waiter who speaks Deutsch reads this. 5 plates on top of each other are not left on the corner of the table, the phone is not answered after waiting a minute when taking the order from the customer, and the drinks are brought). I do not recommend it. I give two stars to the parking lot and the Turkish waiter who works at the cash register. I will not go again.

What new meat do you have, it doesn't taste good at all. Very, very bad and far too fatty, before with the old meat you would be unbeatable but the new meat is a disaster.

This was their Beyti kebab, when we said this isn't a Beyti they said that's how they do it. If my Grandmother had wheels she would have been a bike. If your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle, but she doesn't so she's not, do you know what I'm trying to say?

We ordered kunefe, we heard them talking among themselves in the kitchen about it being burnt, yet they served burnt kunefe. Still, we took a fork and looked at it, the burnt taste was so deep in it that it was not fit to be eaten, so we asked for a new one. We wish we hadn't asked for it, but instead of apologizing, we heard a lot of things such as that the black kunefe was not burnt, and that if they were not cooked this way, customers would send it back saying it was raw. I guess they don't know that you can cook it without burning it. As if that wasn't enough, they asked among themselves, obviously with the intention of disturbing us, "Did they send the kunefe back?" Why did they send it? Did it burn? "No, it wasn't burned." They continued their speech until we got up. I will never go to a place that provides this kind of service again, I regret going there before and the other orders I have placed.

Great Berliner döner, Full of flavour:) We had also a pide, also great with a crusty contours. I Highly recommend it.

The prices in the website and the maps are wrong the chef said they didn't update it since 2008, so the prices in here are totally wrong. Most of the things got %50 Interest.

The lack tastes like zero love and you wait an eternity for your feast.

It's a trap, don't fall for it. Incredibly overpriced and small portions, to eat less than average food. Absolutely not recommended.

Sorry, I've been waiting for 1.5 hours for my Dürüm to taste like rat frass, sorry but I'd rather eat my own vomit. I was just about to pay and the dog also wants to cheat me out of my money

it’s not only a restaurant, but you can also order their street food at a small window counter. Recent recommendations say that you should either go for an Adana Kebab or Lahmacun (flatbread). I decided for the flatbread filled with salad. I really liked that it was warm and quite cheap, but it wasn’t breathtakingly good. Well flavored with spices, though.

Delicious Adana and Lamb kebab skewers, tasty bread and salad. Somewhat rustic and basic yet authentic atmosphere. Very fair prices. :)

Very tasty lahmacun (5*) and the kebab also tastes very good (5*), but it is really small, if you are hungry you need 2 kebabs.

7 years ago I gave the five star rating. Life in Berlin was different then. Now the kebab costs €7 and the quality — well: little salad, hardly any spice, two gristly pieces of meat… no lemon, no cheese. And the ready-made Ayran from the plastic cup also costs a whopping €2. I gave €10 and had to ask for change. The gentlemen weren't particularly friendly either. Therefore, I now have to adjust the rating. A pity!

New skewer follows the trend of neighboring restaurants, tastes like beef and the meat is rather dry. The “doyum taste” that I have come for all these years is unfortunately lost. It's a shame, but you can still come for the lahmacun.

Turkish cuisine, excellent lamb dishes, intense flavours, we were in the new room, less characteristic than the room where the kitchen is. A delicious lentil soup, then lamb with a yogurt sauce.

We ate portions of döner kebab. However, the doner kebab had a different aroma, I can't say I liked it very much. Our reason for choosing it was that it was halal. Ayran and bread were delicious. The employees were friendly.

The taste of the food in the Doyum Restaurant was okay. However, the Mercimek soup had too much mint and was a bit too runny. The meat plate for €27 was acceptable in terms of taste, but the portion was small and also contained kebab meat, which was not clearly stated on the menu. For the price I would have expected more high-quality meat, it wasn't a classic grilled dish like you would expect from a Turk. The price was not justified. I was pleasantly surprised by the option to choose between bulgur and rice. A portion of tzatziki was charged €7, which I found to be very excessive, and it was also very runny. I usually get a kebab for €7. The ayran was well prepared and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately we would not recommend the restaurant. Additionally, some of the food was cold, which further detracted from our experience.

I was hungry for a kebab yesterday and thought I'd get one from doyum. But unfortunately the food and the staff were really terrible. The guy who made me the kebab didn't even say hello, didn't respond to my wishes and looked very angry and aggressive. To make matters worse, there was hardly any meat in the kebab.

Unfortunately very tiny portions. Dönner plate for 18€ is 5-6 spoons of rice and maybe 100-150 grams of meat. The taste is good, but when you see the portions you lose the fun of it. An older waiter yells at everyone and everything in the store, very aggressive behavior.

A falafel plate cost €17 and didn't taste good, the falafel wasn't fresh The plate came with remoulade and when I asked for humus I was charged an extra €8.50 for it

Unfortunately the food arrived cold, we waited an hour (we're fasting) and the orders were incorrect. The Ayran is carbonated and tastes expired. The dishes were nothing special and rather standard :/

We went with 4 friends.. 4 soups 5 lahmacun 3 buttermilk 2 kunefe He asked for 72 € calculation. We calculated it again and it was 49.4. It's a shame, but it's not that many mistakes...

Good food but they don’t speak english

Very nice restaurant, pleasant atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and of course great food! Our taste buds were delighted! Our visit there was a culinary experience from A to Z. Many thanks to the deliciously talented Amcas! TIP: Be sure to try Künefe for dessert!

€6.5 for a bit of mercimek corba is outrageous, as is €18 for a kebab plate with bulgur pilav and a layer of kebab meat on top. Nothing else. It can't always be Ukraine's fault for the war. Buddy's Adana was a bit dry, as was a portion of kuzu sis, another portion of kuzu sis was okay.

Excellent food and service, although the place doesn't give that impression. I visit it to eat something every time I travel to Berlin. Everything is fresh, made for you when ordered, service attentive and ready. Quantity and quality 1st class

It's been a long time since I went back, last time I had raw meat in Dürüm and before that too. Then I had to go back from home to get a new one. Not particularly recommended, please work more on it.

It's really sad that the service has deteriorated so much. The dishes come one at a time, one is waiting for the other. That can't be the case. Unfortunately the staff is overwhelmed.

The kebab in the bread is tasty but small. I need 2 of these to fill me up.

There's not much to say about the service and ambience, the people are nice and the shop is pretty too. Just a classic Turkish restaurant. The seating is quite tight and you can't expect perfect cleanliness, but that's all fine. However, the dishes are absolutely nothing special. Tastes. My big criticism is the prices. I've eaten lamb's head soup for €6.50 cheaper and of much better quality. Plated meals for around €20. One positive thing to mention is that the bread came fresh from the oven. But the price/performance ratio is really not worth recommending, on the contrary. And no, you can't blame that on inflation. I still go out to eat in Neukölln several times every week and will no longer enter the store. For the price level there are better shops on Kotti.

Growing up in Western Sydney Australia, I felt back at home here. Loved eating everything here and was treated warmly given I spoke zero German/Turkish

Avoid!! Crazy high prices, gave me the wrong order, didn't speak german or english, unwelcoming service. And the food itself was bland. Didn't have such a negative expereince for a long time

I ate lahmacun there twice. I think the salsa sauce they use is a bit bitter which sometimes supresses the rest of the ingredients but it is still ok.

Good Turkish cuisine. We became aware of it through a newspaper article. In the afternoon around 2:45 p.m. there was a lot of space in the restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, but a little slow. The food was sufficient in quantity and tasty. Some fresh yogurt would have made the lamb skewer even better. The tea was included free of charge at the end. We will be back.

Food was actually quite good. I ordered a kebab plate for 15.90 but the portion was a bit steep and not enough for such a price it was very loud and it was difficult to communicate

They offer three kinds of soups: lentil, trotters, and tripe. We tried the last two, and the soups are awesome. Additionally, the soup is served with freshly baked bread, slices of lemon, garlic, and vinegar sauce. The Adana kebab is good, and the lahmacun is handmade and freshly baked. Lahmacun is above the European average, but I would prefer kebabs and soups. The waiter is quite kind, and the service was fast. The restaurant has a restroom, and it is clean. We didn't order dessert this time, but they looked delicious. Next time, we will try künefe and sütlaç. Tea is complimentary after the meal. We paid €40 for 2 bowls of soup, 2 lahmacun, 1 portion of Adana kebab, and 2 ayran. I think the price is reasonable.

The taste was okay but definitely wasn’t worth the severe diarrhea and other many transit/digestive problems. Good place to discover new humankind-threatening bacteria or to ruin your weekend in Berlin.

the food was really good and there was a beautiful environment. we were happy, when we were waiting for our food they offered us a plate of hummus and a lot of bread, without us asking for it. however it was disappointing that they charged 8€ for it, which was disappointing as it was not something we ordered ourselves. it ruined our experience

Geschmack und Bedienung sehr schlecht Ich habe ein Adana dürüm bestellt nur mit Tomaten und Salat…was kam an? Mit zwiebeln und Petersilie…und das für 13,50€!!! Übersalzen Jetzt verstehe ich warum der Laden so leer ist… Sorry nicht nochmal. Immerhin gabs Tee im Wert von 2 cent gratis💪

Sehr unfreundliches Personal. Der Döner ist für 7€ auch sehr klein. Insgesamt nicht zu empfehlen.

Buena comida turca y muy variada

Eigentlich verdient der Laden nicht mal einen Stern. Alles Katastrophe, Service, das Essen „hatte Hänchen Tasche“ hatte überhaupt nicht geschmeckt.

Der schlechteste Döner den ich jemals gegessen habe . Service überfordert !!!! Das Innenleben sehr Sanierungsbedürftig also habe mich sehr unwohl gefühlt. Einmal und nie wieder !!!

Ich würde nicht mal ein Stern geben für so eine Unverschämtheit. Man lässt uns 1,5 std warten obwohl wir den Kellner 5 mal gerufen haben die Bestellung aufzunehmen. Wenn man Mangel an Kellnern hat das sollte man sich mehr anschaffen und nicht die Kunden knapp 2 Stunden hungrig warten lassen. Der ältere Kellner mit Brille hat 5 mal gesagt das er kommt und ist im Endeffekt nicht gekommen. Ich werde diesen Laden nie wieder besuchen !!
