I have known the Doyum since childhood. I really enjoy being here and the Turkish food is simply outstanding! I really like eating Adana Kebab and Kelle paca. But the salads with it are also simply great. I really enjoy being a regular customer here and have been since I was a child.

We stop by every time we come to Berlin, there is no trace of the old quality. There is no flavor left in the doner kebab, and the amount of meat in the doner has decreased a lot. It was a sloppy place. We won't choose it again. We were not satisfied.

The waiter's saying to his work colleagues, "The customer didn't touch the salad, put it back on the counter" blew us away... not recommended and it doesn't taste good either

I'm visiting Berlin. The store is a bit upscale, which adds value to the area. I ate iskender which was particularly successful. Afterwards there was künefe with Turkish çay, which rounded everything off.

The service was friendly and the food was great

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances. If it were possible to give the service less than one star, I would do so without hesitation. Right from the start it was noticeable that not all employees spoke German, which made communication considerably more difficult. But that was just the beginning of a series of shortcomings. I was served the wrong dish twice. When I pointed out that it wasn't my order, I was still persistently tried to "sell" the food as correct. It wasn't until the third attempt that I actually received the dish I ordered. What was particularly irritating was that I was assured twice that my order was correct - only after a short discussion on the second attempt was it admitted that the food was intended for a different table. As if that wasn't enough, soup was accidentally spilled on my shoe while I was eating - a mishap that was accepted without any apology. I was also placed right at the door on a particularly cold day. In principle this would not be a problem, but if I am forced to sit in a restaurant wearing a down jacket and the waiter states in no uncertain terms that the door will not be closed, it raises serious questions about the concept of hospitality. The height of the audacity, however, was the expectation of a tip after such disastrous service. In view of this overall performance, it is simply outrageous to hope for additional compensation for something that is taken for granted. !!! To the owner and team: Would you want to dine in such conditions yourself? Would you approve of such service if you were the guests? I think the answer to this is obvious. !!!

Extremely disappointed. I got a dürüm to take with me, chewed and chewed at the first bite, unfortunately the dürüm didn't go down. My entire dürüm was almost filled with large pieces of fat and cartilage. Guys, imagine how that feels in your mouth. That was so uncomfortable! So for 7.50 euros I expect tender meat kebab! And no fat kebab. Never with you again! Why are you deleting my comments?

I wish I could give one star I was here yesterday they came to the table four times to take the order they all said they would be back in a minute and left again after waiting for half an hour when I went to order myself while talking to the waiter to order the chef was warning him to suck up to the greasy customer sitting at the table. In the end we left without eating.

Very tasty and always very clean. The boys present themselves from the best side inside and out and in their dealings. Slightly more expensive than others around the corner, but worth it especially for the good meat and bread.

My first doner wraps... won't be my last. The staff were friendly, and my wrap was one of the best things I've tried in a long time. I've had two now, and I can honestly say that Doyum's was the best!

I've been eating there for 20 years but today I ordered adana dürüm, it's now very expensive and the head waiter has now become very disrespectful looking from top to bottom

The place has grown since I was last there. It became a much more comfortable place. I am curious about good doner kebabs in Turkey. Unfortunately, this place was average in taste. Their lahmacun was small and average in taste. It wasn't bad. The price was above average.

As doner, they make it in the usual doner style and taste in Turkey. They have their own handmade bread and mention this option during service. Döner is better than the city average. The brothers working were friendly and had pleasant conversations.

Having just returned from a weekend in Berlin sampling a lot of different kebabs.. Doyum’s doner mit brot was the highlight of the weekend. The kebab used great quality, beef doner meat with fantastic sauces & salad in a crisp sesame Turkish bread. Give it a try, you really won’t be disappointed!

Ordered a doner plate. What came was a huge disappointment. A plate of rice and just a spoonful of kebab meat (maximum 35 grams). It didn't even take me a minute to eat everything. And charge 18 euros for it. We felt like we were being tricked

Delicious bockwurst with potato salad, but in Turkish. Unfortunately, it burned quite badly the next day. But no blame, everything was fine.

Except for doner, other flavors are not bad. They don't know how to cut doner and the meat is tough. Adana is good. Lahmacun is good. The sincerity of the people who run the place is good. Tea service is good. It is important to have a halal certificate. We ate with peace of mind.

Why doesn't the meat taste like it used to? It just tastes like cold fat. I'll never eat that again.

We tried their grilled meat platter and everything on the plate was delicious and fresh. The meat was tender and fragrant and the bread freshly baked and so delicious. We also love their kenufe and had to go back 2 days later to try their kebab roll. It was also very good. I highly recommend this restaurant. Too bad we have to fly back. I only wished we have more time in Berlin so that we can eat there again and again. The boss and staff are very friendly and service was good. Very local, friendly vibe.

The Turkish pizza is great for a quick meal passing by. You can also stay and enjoy tasty and fresh dishes.

We sat down with the lady and ordered Iskender, the doner kebab was literally burnt and it looked like sawdust after cutting it with a machine. We called the waiter. It was burnt and the Iskender's sauce had zero garlic and ketchup. It was very bad. The lentil soup was thick and awful, like ready-made tomato soup. The waiters were talking among themselves. It was like we went to the village coffee house. They were very rude, as they used to be. I would go there, the service was very good and the food was delicious, now I am satisfied and they are making so-called jokes by shouting rudely among themselves.

Absolute disgust. The staff is extremely unsympathetic and unfortunately cannot cope with the simplest tasks. The food is no longer what it once was. There was a piece of burnt wood or coal in my kebab, the bread wasn't really toasted and the "hot sauce" actually tasted more like ketchup with a little chili. Fruit flies were flying everywhere in the restaurant. And the tables weren't clean either, unfortunately my white sweater now has stains that can't be removed. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy at the time. There are plenty of other kebab shops in the area where you can eat well. Pity for my money.

There were six of us and we were all enthusiastic about the dishes. Intensely spiced, small flavor explosions. Authentic delicious cuisine. You can clearly notice the aroma of the wood-fired grill. The homemade bread was very good. You can watch the production from outside. We were given free Turkish tea after our meal. The staff was very attentive, friendly and fond of children. Simple furnishings, very clean, but the room could have been a little warmer given the weather. The prices are rather high for a Turkish restaurant in this area. We were recommended the place by a Berliner who was a really good Turk, she was right 😋

Firstly, he didn't have a good relationship with me, then the kebab was hard and the salad was old. I didn't like the behavior of the employees at all.

First of all I would like to mention that I have known the store for 25 years. For a long time this was probably the best shop in the neighborhood. The Lahmacun were legendary and the best in all of Berlin. After a few years I tasted a lahmacun again. Unfortunately, it no longer has anything in common with my good memories, as the kebab has worn off a lot. Overall, there needs to be a basic renovation when it comes to food and location.

The meat was very dry, hard and crazy salty that I threw half of it away after eating it. 🤮

The food is absolutely fine. What is missing, however, is taste. We were there because of the very positive overall rating and unfortunately we cannot confirm it. I had a kebab with meat, tomatoes and onions. There wasn't much to taste of the meat. It The taste can be compared to other skewers (stores). That's not to say it's bad, but it's nothing special either

I came here to try their Berliner Doner. This was highly recommended by the berlinfoodstories website. I thought it was ok, but I don't have others in Berlin to compare to. Communication is difficult, unless you speak German.

Iskender kebab was amazing. Ayran was incredible. Sutlaç was the best turkish desert I have eaten!

In terms of doner style, it is well above the German average. First of all, ready-made ground meat is not doner. It is made according to the doner style in Turkey. The sauce they use for doner is different. I can say neither good nor bad. It wouldn't be on the list of the best doner I've ever eaten, but it's better than eating ready-made doner in Germany. At least I finished it without feeling nauseous like other doner kebabs.

I was in Berlin for the first time in a long time and we ate there at the recommendation of a friend. The 6 Turkish pizzas to serve yourself were amazing. Huge portion for 14.50 and super tasty!

I decided to eat something smaller on the evening of July 19, 2024. My two friends raved about how good the lahmacun and soup there were. The condensation of the soup didn't fit, it was very thick. Both lahmacun we got were burnt, very dry, as if it had not been freshly made. I've known the shop for a while, but the last time I went there was four years ago to eat almost every third day. Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be.

Maten är fantastisk på Doyum, men vi fick tyvärr rätt dålig service. De ignorerade oss när vi kom och sedan sa de att vi var tvungna att betala kontant även om andra kunde betala med kort. Det blir ett dåligt betyg på det stora hela, tyvärr.

The price is normal, there is parking space, the taste is good, you have to eat it when you are hungry, the service is below zero (it would be better if the short waiter who speaks Deutsch reads this. 5 plates on top of each other are not left on the corner of the table, the phone is not answered after waiting a minute when taking the order from the customer, and the drinks are brought). I do not recommend it. I give two stars to the parking lot and the Turkish waiter who works at the cash register. I will not go again.

What new meat do you have, it doesn't taste good at all. Very, very bad and far too fatty, before with the old meat you would be unbeatable but the new meat is a disaster.

This was their Beyti kebab, when we said this isn't a Beyti they said that's how they do it. If my Grandmother had wheels she would have been a bike. If your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle, but she doesn't so she's not, do you know what I'm trying to say?

We ordered kunefe, we heard them talking among themselves in the kitchen about it being burnt, yet they served burnt kunefe. Still, we took a fork and looked at it, the burnt taste was so deep in it that it was not fit to be eaten, so we asked for a new one. We wish we hadn't asked for it, but instead of apologizing, we heard a lot of things such as that the black kunefe was not burnt, and that if they were not cooked this way, customers would send it back saying it was raw. I guess they don't know that you can cook it without burning it. As if that wasn't enough, they asked among themselves, obviously with the intention of disturbing us, "Did they send the kunefe back?" Why did they send it? Did it burn? "No, it wasn't burned." They continued their speech until we got up. I will never go to a place that provides this kind of service again, I regret going there before and the other orders I have placed.

The prices in the website and the maps are wrong the chef said they didn't update it since 2008, so the prices in here are totally wrong. Most of the things got %50 Interest.

It's a trap, don't fall for it. Incredibly overpriced and small portions, to eat less than average food. Absolutely not recommended.

it’s not only a restaurant, but you can also order their street food at a small window counter. Recent recommendations say that you should either go for an Adana Kebab or Lahmacun (flatbread). I decided for the flatbread filled with salad. I really liked that it was warm and quite cheap, but it wasn’t breathtakingly good. Well flavored with spices, though.

Very tasty lahmacun (5*) and the kebab also tastes very good (5*), but it is really small, if you are hungry you need 2 kebabs.

7 years ago I gave the five star rating. Life in Berlin was different then. Now the kebab costs €7 and the quality — well: little salad, hardly any spice, two gristly pieces of meat… no lemon, no cheese. And the ready-made Ayran from the plastic cup also costs a whopping €2. I gave €10 and had to ask for change. The gentlemen weren't particularly friendly either. Therefore, I now have to adjust the rating. A pity!
