The food was delicious, but there was too much for me to eat.

I was here recently with friends and it was incredibly delicious! There's a wide vegan selection and everything I ate was delicious! The salad (it had fried silken tofu on it 😍) was huge (+ vegan). And the dessert was vegan chocolate mousse and omg, how can something taste so good? Definitely a recommendation! The atmosphere is really cozy, with lots of pictures and mood lighting; you just feel at home. When the weather is warm, you can sit outside on the terrace; it's also very nice there, especially when the fairy lights are lit at dusk. The people are so nice, I'll definitely be back.

I had a very pleasant evening and enjoyed an excellent meal. The staff was truly excellent – ​​friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The Drinks: Lavender lemonades were delicious and exceeded our expectations. The food: Radiatori with wild garlic pesto, asparagus and strawberries was outstanding!!! Everything harmonized so well and every component was perfect. It's a shame that we were only in Coburg for vacation, otherwise we would definitely be regular guests here.

The best schnitzel I've eaten so far. Absolutely delicate and nice and big. Then I had the chocolate lava soufflé. It was a dream! We were all really excited about this delicious food and everyone had something different. I can only recommend this location to everyone! The ambience on site is also very harmonious. Very stylish and comfortably furnished. Not so narrow that you can directly see the table next to you. The waiters are very friendly and accommodating. Absolutely top 👍

The Dornheim is a very nice, cozy restaurant. Food is lovingly prepared. Small complaints were accepted sensibly and promptly apologized with a small compensation. The staff is very friendly. I will come again.

Dornheim Coburg – A culinary journey through time with great enjoyment There are places that welcome you with a smile and say goodbye with pure happiness. Dornheim in Coburg is exactly such a place. Anyone who has eaten here will inevitably wonder why they didn't come much earlier. As soon as you enter you feel like you have been transported to another time. The lovingly designed ambience breathes the charm of the sixties - no artificial nostalgia, but a harmonious, detailed homage to an era in which design still had soul. That alone is a blessing. But then comes the food – and finally turns the stay into an experience. The menu is an ode to good taste. Vegetarians and vegans not only get their money's worth here, they are pampered. Homemade lemonades are refreshing in the best way, while dishes like baked sheep's cheese or falafel prove that vegetarian cuisine is anything but a compromise - it is a promise of enjoyment here. And the spaghetti? Perfectly al dente, with sauces that taste like they just drifted over from an Italian country house kitchen. If you're looking for something special, you shouldn't miss the changing special dishes - such as the homemade gnocchi, which literally melts in your mouth. And then – as if that wasn’t enough – comes the big finale: the little lava cake with whipped cream. Delicate on the outside, liquid chocolate bliss on the inside, a dessert that not only tastes good but also crowns the evening. You shouldn't leave Dornheim without him. Really not. Conclusion? An absolute must. If you're in Coburg and don't visit Dornheim, you're not just missing out on an outstanding restaurant, but also a piece of joie de vivre.

It was our first time in Dornheim and we couldn't believe we had missed it so far. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, is originally furnished, is well attended and everyone seems to feel comfortable. The service was very nice and our dog was also welcome. I had vegetarian manti-manti, my wife had falafel, and we were amazed at how rich and round the taste was.

As a Coburger, I have to say it is my absolute favorite restaurant in all of Coburg. I've loved going there for years, even now that I don't live in Coburg anymore. The Dornheim is a cozy restaurant with a huge selection of drinks. The homemade lemonades and cocktails are particularly delicious! The food is good, even if the selection isn't huge. There are many vegetarian and vegan options. In summer the beer garden is simply great! The service is great, super friendly and often asks if anything else is needed, that's how it has to be! The only downside is that it can get a bit noisy inside at times. Still a great place for a relaxing evening!

As always, everything went well. The food was fabulous, the service quick. The waitresses are always friendly and accommodating, so you immediately feel comfortable and in good hands. The price-performance ratio is also good. Since I had 3 courses and everything is fresh and locally sourced, the price was also right. Regardless of whether you are a meat eater, a vegetarian or a vegan, everyone gets their money's worth here. Thank you for everything and gladly again :).

The first one I tried, there were 16 of us. I ate the Manti dish for the first time, I couldn't take a picture, but it was delicious. I ordered a glass of Primitivo. It was very pleasant. I only have one tip, the bathrooms weren't marked, so it took a while for everyone at the table to find them. I recommend it.

We had a wonderful, cozy, delicious and great evening in Dornheim. The positive reputation of this day's counter staff had already made its rounds at the Christmas market :-)...and what can I say. The two employees were super friendly, accommodating and you can tell that they enjoy working there. To the kitchen: I had beetroot risotto with roast beef, the food was not only delicious and to the point, it was also beautifully presented. Simply delicious! Gladly again soon.

It was very crowded, so we had to sit at the bar despite having a reservation. Later we were able to take our seats. Food and ambience were very good. The staff was extremely stressed, but still very friendly. Recommended.

Even shortly before the kitchen closed there was still a large selection of dishes. Despite the full dining room, the food came quickly and, as always, was well prepared. The service staff was smart, attentive and genuinely friendly. The loud (Christmas party) company at the neighboring table was annoying, but the "Dornheim" can't do anything about that 😊

Very nice atmosphere and delicious salads. Unfortunately, only 4 of 5 dishes were served, one was forgotten, which an attentive service at this price level would have noticed if an adult was sitting there without food - especially since drinks were reordered and delivered. Of course we noted this, but apart from a superficial apology, nothing came. In addition, empty bottles were not put away even when reordering. In short: the food and ambience are good, the service needs to catch up and doesn't correspond to the price level!

After a year of the last review I have to correct my opinion. The cuisine has continuously gone vegan, with very few meat dishes. That's not a bad thing, but it's just totally boring and tasteless. The worst thing is vegan sausage salad, according to the waitress with an imitation type of vegan sausage. If that's true, oh my God, what's the point. Also not enough waitresses, but that can happen to anyone. That was the last time for now.

The food was very good and special requests for intolerances were even catered for and something very tasty was conjured up. Our only suggestion for improvement concerns the uncomfortable seating outside. Especially the unpadded backrests.

There are also daily specials that are advertised on a separate board. It's very busy, so it's best to reserve a table.

The Viennese style schnitzel was very good, but the potato salad was of plastic bucket quality at best. That doesn't match the prices! The chocolate lava soufflé also fell short of expectations. The service could be a little more attentive for larger groups, but was otherwise good.
