Super leckeres Essen, wir waren alle sehr begeistert!!

Schon mal knusprigen Kartoffelsalat gegessen? Dann unbedingt hier vorbeischauen und bestellen - großartig, Mega lecker und top zubereitet. Aber von Anfang an: Man kommt in ein gemütliches Restaurant rein, welches Wohnzimmer Atmosphäre hat und herzlich empfangen wird. Kleine Karte wird gereicht, was wir sympathisch finden, denn zu Hause gibt es ja auch keine 20 Gerichte frisch zubereitet. Spritz mit Gurkenwasser - klasse, wird bestellt. Nette Gespräche mit Inhabern ausgetauscht und das leckere Essen genossen- Danke für das Gaumenerlebnis.

Super urig, gemütlich. Sehr nette Inhaber, die sich aufmerksam um ihre Gäste kümmern. Essen mega lecker und gute Portionen. Gute Preis-Leistung! Rindfleisch zum Salat war perfekt zubereitet. Großes Lob nochmal!

Ein nettes kleines Restaurant mit gemütlichem Ambiente. Ca. 30 Plätze. Die angegebene Telefonnummer auf der Website war offenbar nicht gültig, aber die Pnline-Reservierung hat tadellos geklappt, mit sofortiger Bestätigung. Die Karte ist erfreulich übersichtlich. Das Essen hat allen Personen aus unserer 6er- Gruppe gut geschmeckt und wir hatten diverse Schnitzel, Fisch und Spinat-Gnocchi (?). Die beiden Inhaber betreiben das Restaurant sichtlich mit Freude und Engagement. Bisher fehlen noch Desserts im Angebot, aber das soll noch kommen. Ich würde gerne wieder dort essen.

Was ein tolles Lokal und tolle Gastgeber

Wir waren hier einmal zum Abendessen und haben am Tag darauf unseren Sektempfang nach der standesamtlichen Hochzeit gefeiert. Es war alles so lecker und schön organisiert! Benny und Nicole sind tolle Gastgeber und bei jedem Gericht merkt man die Liebe zum Detail und zum Geschmack! Wir kommen gerne wieder und sprechen eine große Empfehlung für alle aus! Danke!

Dieser Besuch war ein Genuss. So gemütlich. Ein großes Wohnzimmer mit direktem Blick zur Küche. Der Koch kam nach getanener Arbeit zu uns an den Tisch und offenbarte uns sogar seine Küchengeheimnisse. Schon die Speisenkarte machte neugierig. Manches haben wir hier zum ersten Mal gefunden. Mein Highlight: "A sau god brod"Das Essen war fulminant. So herrlich angerichtet, mit frischen Kräutern, leckeren Gewürzen. Herzlichen Dank für die tolle Bedienung, sehr freundlich und nahbar. Hier müssen wir noch mal hin. 👍

We were in Coburg this year for our annual Christmas market gathering and reserved a table here. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff was very friendly. Plus, the prices were absolutely fair... what more could you ask for?

Stopped in spontaneously on a drive through Franconia. A table became available, we sat down, received friendly service, and were simply delighted. A culinary highlight; it tasted sensational; the potato salad alone is worth a trip to Coburg. The open kitchen gives you a glimpse of what's to come later. Highly recommended.

I've been to Coburg several times and haven't eaten as well as here. I absolutely recommend it. The food was excellent, the service was superb. And it was cozy and tidy, too. We'll definitely be back soon and will definitely recommend it. However, you should be a bit garlicky, or state upfront that you don't want any 😉. By the way, the food was also a real eye-catcher. I had the cheese spaetzle with glazed pork loin. Definitely try it.

Tonight, a small group of four people visited this small, lovely restaurant. The quality of the food was phenomenal...highly recommended. Great value for money too. We'd love to come back...

We were passing through Coburg and chose the restaurant based on our gut feeling. Luckily, it doesn't happen often that we're so impressed by a restaurant, its service, and its cuisine. The minimalist yet warm ambiance. The cordial yet unobtrusive service. And above all, the excellent, lovingly prepared cuisine, full of little surprises, and the perfect and exceptional espresso to finish the meal. All of this prompted us to write a review for the first time in our lives. So, in conclusion, bravo to both of you and thank you again.

We ordered schnitzel, one with potato salad and two with roasted potatoes. Very tasty with fresh salad and side dishes! Don't miss a visit if you are interested in Coburg!

Nice restaurant with a simple menu. The pork schnitzel was slightly on the drier side for me and a bit gamey. But the potato salad with the lemon more than made up for it. The jam was fantastic, great way to add some sweetness to the meal. The dressing on the side salad was a bit strong but very refreshing. Friendly, English-speaking workers. Very quick service. I'll be back!

If you like to eat with pleasure but without unnecessary fancy, this is the right place for you. Not an overloaded menu, but still something for everyone. Super quality paired with an absolute taste experience definitely deserves five stars. Even the vegan dish was a hit, which isn't the case everywhere. The small, cozy dining room is comfortably furnished. We really enjoyed staying at Hopfen&Malz and will certainly eat there again.

We spontaneously walked through Coburg looking for dinner and found this restaurant. We were enthusiastically greeted and served lovingly by the look of the rooms. The menu is small but that's exactly what makes it exciting for us - changing dishes means for us that you still put in the effort and have fun running a restaurant. This is exactly what you can feel in the warmth of the hosts!! The food was perfectly balanced, very well seasoned and the portions were large enough. Price performance is absolutely right for us here! We had a delicious evening and will definitely be back!

We received a very warm welcome in this beautiful, lovingly furnished inn. It's really true to the tavern, you can watch the innkeeper cooking, anyone who likes to cook will love it and he's a veteran in his field. I suspect that the selection of dishes remains "stable" and is therefore probably perfected. We ate excellently, the sauces seem to be very elaborately homemade, everything is fresh, has the right degree of doneness, vegetables are al dente and everything is simply perfect, very refined and delicately seasoned for our taste and looks very nice, no frills, just one Meal that will make your mouth water. The service is very warm, there are also a lot of drinks to try out here, a special recommendation for the cucumber spritz and you almost feel like you're with "family" even on your first visit. It's not fancy, it's pure and reliable. We still have one small drawback: the ventilation system needs to be reworked for the show cooking. Indoors it's almost borderline, but outdoors it's definitely charming. Maybe that will happen, we will definitely travel from Bamberg again. Highly recommended!

Just great. The cook (bus driver) and the super nice service simply create a great atmosphere. The food is something different, not always the usual. Great ideas on the plate that are also super tasty. It was a nice evening. But unfortunately I have to deduct one point: I found the portions to be too small. Above all, we were already at a higher price level for Coburg. Could have eaten something else. But otherwise great concept, keep it up.

Nice little restaurant with super friendly staff. You immediately feel comfortable. The card leaves nothing to be desired. Everyone gets their money's worth. Any time.

Rather by chance, looking for something different from the down-to-earth, but also heavy Franconian cuisine, we came across this small but fine restaurant near the Ehrenburg. The kitchen and dining room are one and so we are immediately surrounded by fumes and smells. The map: Clear and imaginative. We decide on the three-kind bread dip as an inspiration. The intense flavors of the onion chutney, the olive tapenade and the sheep's cheese cream come through wonderfully on the wonderfully crispy slices and make you want more. The fried char that follows has it all: Not only is the fillet crispy and to the point, but also every single component of the side dishes - polenta slices, cauliflower, parsnips, snow peas, Brussels sprouts, carrots, broccoli (did I forget something?) - also unleashes an explosion of chatter. This is true culinary art. The schnitzel and the roasted potatoes are also a poem. On top of that, absolutely reasonable prices let us go home with a satisfied grin.

But even if you just want to eat a little something with a delicious glass, you're sure to find what you're looking for here. Nice and modern restaurant in the city center. Food was fresh and tasty - we all ordered schnitzel. However, a minus point because the portions are too small. At this price you would expect a little more (at least in the Coburg area). Service was always quick and friendly, but you may want to charge your EC device before opening the store. Regarding the ambience - there was perhaps some music missing in the background and we found the kitchen volume (apart from the falling objects) to be a bit too loud.

Five of us went to Hopfen&Malz today without a reservation, I think that was an exception (that we were spontaneously seated) because the food was fantastic, it was so deliciously seasoned and the service was great too! I'm already looking forward to the next time! 👌👍

We reserved online and it went without any problems. Reception was very friendly. Food was super tasty and good portions. Jasmin is super accommodating and Benny is a brilliant cook. The atmosphere is really cozy and you immediately feel at home. We can only recommend it and will definitely come back.

The dishes on offer are great and taste really good. Great ideas for the composition and incredibly nice service. The only thing that isn't really right is the price in relation to the portion. I'm not a big eater but unfortunately I wasn't full after the portion of cottage cheese dumplings with some side salad. We are happy to pay more for good, high-quality food. But I expect to leave a restaurant already halfway full.

The Hopfen&Malz invites you with its authentic ambience. Unfortunately, every step of this restaurant visit was very, very lengthy. (2.5 hours for just the main course + a drink!!) Unfortunately, from the small (basically good) menu, there was little to no availability of the main course (on a Saturday at 7:00 p.m.!). Definitely needs improvement! Service staff was very nice, but absolutely not enough staff..

The price-performance ratio didn't suit us. The salads were very small for the price and my wife also had a napkin mixed in with the salad. As a courtesy, she was given dessert. I wouldn't have paid for the food and as the owner I wouldn't have collected it.

A beautiful little restaurant. The rustic/antique ambience exudes a sense of cosiness and invites you to linger. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The dishes are decorated with great attention to detail and taste really, really good!!! Would come back at any time and definitely recommend a visit.
