Dorfaue - Berlin in Berlin

First of all: The Dorfaue is definitely recommended. We were there for the first time. We thought it was very tasty. Mainly Swabian cuisine with additional daily specials. We had the (huge) elephant ear, a breaded schnitzel in sesame and pumpkin seed breading with fried potatoes and a side salad as well as the onion roast with spaetzle and also a side salad. Everything was delicious and we were full. We also didn't want to miss the Kaiserschmarrn that was on the menu. After a break to digest, we ordered the Kaiserschmarrn. It was deliciously prepared, with caramelized sugar and apple compote. The service was very friendly and always attentive. We had a wonderful evening in the village meadow and would love to come back.

We treated ourselves to an excellent Schäufele in the far north of Berlin and refreshed our memories of our last vacation. A second helping of the delicious gravy was no problem. Very attentive service and nice seasonal decoration of the restaurant. It's not the last time we've been here - the journey is worth it. Pre-registration on weekends is recommended!

We spontaneously dined there on a Sunday evening. The service staff always tried hard, but unfortunately the boss didn't. It seemed like the service had no system at all. Drinks were mixed up or something completely different than what was ordered came. The waiting time was really long... after I looked at the clock really hungry, our salad from the main course was brought before the starter. Unfortunately, the food wasn't great either. All in all we were rather disappointed

We were there on Boxing Day and the place was packed, but we had made a reservation. Great Christmas decorations everywhere, we found it very cozy. Drinks and food were delicious as usual. Boss Miki didn't let the stress show, we love his manner and his dry sense of humor. Keep it up, we'll keep coming back. 💋

We had dinner in the Dorfaue at Christmas. We were overwhelmed by the ambience, far too much kitschy decoration - but that's a matter of taste. The food was good, but the portions were sometimes extremely small. The zander came with two sliced ​​potatoes (?!). The staff seemed inattentive and was unfortunately very unfriendly towards the end. Dessert was brought to us very late after it was forgotten when we first ordered it, and we were still sitting in front of our plates that weren't cleared away. The waitress also said, “I don’t have time to clean up” and ran back into the kitchen empty-handed without taking anything. We won't come back.

As always, the food is delicious, but unfortunately the service is a disaster. It takes a good 25 minutes for a drink order to be taken, and it takes another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. And then there is no service to pay... so it's best to go straight to the counter. Don't use the toilets! It's a shame, but the personnel problem is obvious. Personally, I think it's a big drawback that dogs are allowed into the restaurant. The wet dog smell when eating is disgusting!

What a cozy and quaint restaurant. The food is sensationally delicious and you can tell that the staff enjoy their job, even when it's busy. There is a large hall for celebrations, where great events also take place. You can recommend Dorfaue with a clear conscience.

We have been there several times and celebrated my wife Karola's big birthday at the beginning of December with almost 50 guests. We were and still are absolutely satisfied with the quality of the food and the service. The prices are more than reasonable. Even when the store is fully booked, the boss Miki keeps his nerve and his incomparable sense of humor. The whole team is doing a good job. We will recommend it and will definitely come back. Hopefully the village meadow will continue to exist in this configuration for a long time. We look forward to seeing you again.

Yesterday we went to a Christmas dinner in the Dorfaue with 5 people. Since it was very busy, we had already planned for a longer wait. The dishes were very tasty, so much so that we didn't even notice the salad was missing from the two pieces of ox we ordered. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to determine whether this was taken into account in the price due to the missing invoice, which was completely soaked yesterday. In the future, you should complain immediately and ask for a dry invoice when paying.

The food is delicious, the prices are steep and the ambience is quite nice, even if I think that a table for two people doesn't have to have a life-size 🐿️ on a table lamp, it's quite tight even without it. They might have gotten one more star if the dark-haired waiter hadn't been so unbearably arrogant, loud and almost unfriendly. A customer immediately left, saying that he was very unfriendly.

Finally a restaurant with a chance of staying there for a long time

Food was delicious again. The spaetzle and fried potatoes were very tasty 😋. I always eat ox fetzle there, they are small fillets of beef very tasty 😋 the Kaiserschmarren is also delicious. My husband likes snails 🐌. The first thing asked is “is there snail soup.” The elephant's ear is also a delicious schnitzel with a crispy breading. It's worth a visit.

We had reserved a table for today, after we had to wait a moment because the restaurant was full of guests at the time, we were assigned a table (in the new living room 😆) The food, duck, roast Schäufele and the two sausage salads were delicious. After the waiter asked us if we liked the food, we answered yes, only the sausage salad was a little less than usual. The sausage salad was then deducted from the bill. Thanks again for the friendly service. We'll be back.🫶

The location Zur Dorfaue on the old Heiligensee is really something really nice. The ambience, put together with minimal effort by the old owner, promises an enjoyable stay. The many really good paintings are particularly worth highlighting. The finest dishes on the menu. When it comes to ingredients, great emphasis is placed on fresh and local sources. I had the duck and couldn't get enough of the delicious dumplings! We were more than satisfied and left a decent tip. I'm already looking forward to the next visit! Warmest regards, Jürgen

Unfortunately I had bad luck with the Schäufelebraten. The crust was missing, it was only served with a thick layer of fat, unappetizing. The dumplings were totally over salted, the so-called Riesling herb was brown, overcooked, tasted strong and salty, and another person at the table didn't like it either. Only the meat itself was very tender and tasty with a strong, authentic sauce, but since I could only return the entire meal, I didn't get to enjoy the meat. Hopefully it was still used. I was offered every other dish without paying extra, which I thought was very nice, but everything except ox shreds couldn't be served quickly, so I did that out of consideration for my table neighbors, who had ordered and eaten earlier than me and were just waiting for my food (Waiting time very long overall, almost 1 hour). This meal didn't convince me either, nor did two others at the table. The salad dressing was very strict, the fried potatoes were not crispy, bland, no bacon and hardly any onion. The meat is tender, but only with a mini piece of herb butter. In my opinion, a loveless mass processing. We actually wanted to go there again in December with a larger group, but we're still undecided. It's a shame, the guest rooms really appealed to me.

We were there on Sunday at 12 p.m. The service was very nice, attentive and quick from start to finish. Even when it was quite full, we continued to receive very good service! A piece of pork fillet from my Swabian plate wasn't enough for me. The nice waitress immediately had it re-fried in the kitchen and my plate came back to the table after 5 minutes with additional mushroom sauce. Really great! The spaetzle was very good, as was the sauce. The Maultaschen a bit dry, but the taste was ok. The onion roast with spaetzle and salad was perfectly fried and surrounded by lots of delicious onion sauce. Overall we were very satisfied. The atmosphere is good, middle-class. That goes with the food. Next time I'll try the Schäufelebraten :)

We came because of the Hachse, but it was already sold out at 4 p.m., which was very annoying. We found the volume to be very loud in the small room and it was not possible to have a comfortable conversation. The food had been good.

It is not possible to reserve a table by telephone. This should be remedied as quickly as possible. After 40 minutes we got our drinks. The food was ok, but we waited another 20 minutes for the bill. The service needs to be greatly improved.

We are always ready to welcome guests here over a longer period of time. The cuisine is southern German and an exception for Berlin. Food is without chi chi, but delicately seasoned and honest and without tam tam. There is hardly any left. I would describe the quality of meat and vegetables as very, very high. Not a bit was messed up in any way. This really borders on a small miracle after all these years. Quality as a whole is always at a very high, consistent level. You have to do that first, only very few people can do that. One reason why we travel about an hour to get here. There hasn't been a dish so far that has disappointed anyone. Please be sure to reserve in advance and check the changing menu. For hot summer days I recommend the fried potatoes with the pickled sour meat (cold). Simply great class. Grandma (and she knew really excellent Pomeranian cuisine) She couldn't have done it better!!!! Big compliments to everyone there!!! Simply very good cuisine in a nice atmosphere. We'd love to come back

als wir unangemeldet kamen wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass es 3 bis 3 Stunden dauern könnte. bis wir zu Essen bekämen, da erst die Gäste , die sich angekündigt hatten, ABER NOCH NICHT ANWESEND WAREN, bedient werden müssten. SOLANGE MÜSSTEN WIR DANN WARTEN... Dies haben wir noch nie in einem Restaurant so erfahren, auch nicht in einem Sternerestaurant , weder in Deutschland noch in Frankreich oder Italien...

Swabian cuisine, the way it should be. Even if it's "ywd", it's still worth the journey. Very nice beer garden, also a harmonious atmosphere inside. Service very attentive and quick. Sanitary rooms very clean. If you don't have a car, the bus stops in front of the door.

Unfortunately we cannot agree with the good reviews regarding the quality of the food. My Maultaschen on spinach were vegetarian, which was not stated on the menu. They were dry and tasted nothing like you. The breading on my husband's elephant ear was relatively burnt. We expected more from the food. The portions were very large, we would have preferred more quality. Overall disappointing for us.

You enter the DORFAUE hungry and come out full and satisfied ❗️👍🏼 On our first visit today we had 1/2 duck with wonderfully fluffy dumplings and red cabbage as well as the Schäufelebraten with also dumplings and vine cabbage. Both very delicious 👌🏼. Since dessert was absolutely no longer possible, we took two pieces of cake home with us. Conclusion: Priced correctly and tasty ❗️ Went here again with friends on May 3rd. This time the food was actually even better, it's really amazing how well the food is cooked here, you're hardly used to that in Berlin's nightlife restaurants!! We had a wonderful afternoon, also because of the totally happy, funny and attentive service from Lübeck!! Now you won't be able to get rid of us 🤷🏼‍♀️

I went to eat Schäufele today and was so disappointed, the bite got stuck in my throat. When we complained, the boss told us that she even had a hand in it and didn't understand why it didn't taste good. The old, great cook and the brilliant waitress have probably left the sinking ship.

There is very tasty Swabian cuisine here. The offer is clear but varied: duck, ox shreds, Schäufele, Kaiserschmarrn, Maultaschen, etc. We eat there regularly, it's always fantastic. There are also good wines or the delicious beer schnapps Ambrosius. Definitely try it. The service is attentive and entertaining. Be sure to book a table, it is always well attended.

Wir waren gestern mit Freunden dort das erste Mal essen. Es gibt ja leider immer weniger Restaurants mit deutscher Küche bei uns in der Gegend. Wir hatten zu 18 Uhr einen Tisch reserviert, wir kamen an und hatten eine frei Platzwahl. Die Kellnerin hat uns mehr als herzlich begrüßt und den ganzen Abend über begleitet. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Alles frisch und selbst gekocht. Die Portionen waren groß, sodass jeder von uns Satt wurde. Ein Dessert probieren wir beim nächsten Mal. Unser Fazit: ein gemütliches Restaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen und super freundlichen Personal. Da kommen wir gerne wieder. Dafür gibt es 5/5 Sterne 😊
