Don Quijote in Berlin

Da gehe schon seit ca 30 Jahren hin. Manjo ist in Spanien und Ulrike rockt den Laden. Eine sehr nette und entspannte Wirtin. Ich esse seit ewigen Zeiten das San Jacobo, es war immer sehr lecker.Das Essen ist super. Eine nette Atmosphäre, super Schinken, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Eine Tischreservierung ist empfehlenswert. Preise im Mittelfeld. Immer wieder gerne. Für mich die Nummer eins der spanischen Restaurants 🍷❤🍻🍝🍗👻😎Leider naht das Ende, vielen Dank für die vielen, gemeinsamen Abende und die tollen Feiern, das wird mir immer in Erinnerung bleiben. Vielen Dank dafür, Ihr werdet mir sehr fehlen. Für Euch Beide viel Glück für die Zukunft und alles Gute und Liebe 😍 Detlef

Wir waren 6 Personen und hatten unterschiedliche Gerichte. Der Salat war lieblos und fade, die Vorspeisenplatte war hingegen gut. Frittierter Tintenfisch hatte zu viel Panade und war nicht ganz durch, innen kalt, die Fischsuppe roch streng und war versalzen. Das Lachsgericht war gut. Das Ambiente war düster, die Luft muffig (wir waren die ersten Gäste am Nachmittag). Der Service war aber sehr nett und umsichtig. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat insgesamt leider nicht gestimmt.

Ich war das erste Mal in diesem Restaurant und es wird nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein. Die Bedienung war war super und es herrscht eine familäre Atmosphäre. Das Essen ist mega lecker. Für jeden Geschmack ist was dabei.

Essen mittelmäßig, zerkochte Paella, Tapas ohne Geschmack , Bedienung ruppig…

Ein Tapas-Restaurant in Berlin, nichts Besonderes, aber mit netter Atmosphäre. Das Essen ist, wie es ist; weder Zubereitung noch Qualität können mit einer spanischen Taverne mithalten. Wir waren als Gäste eines Kunden dort, und die Atmosphäre und die Freundlichkeit waren sehr angenehm, aber das war es dann auch schon. Und die Preise sind für das Gebotene viel zu hoch.

Das Restaurant Don Quijote ist ein Ort den ich nur sehr empfehlen kann wenn man mal in Berlin Charlottenburg ist. Dort kann man sehr gute spanische Küche essen.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit mit Freunden dank gutem Service und ausgezeichneter Küche. Vielen Dank!

For me, Don Quijote is one of the most beautiful places in the Charlottenburg district. It's been there for decades, offering authentic cuisine and, with the two soulful chefs Ulrike and Pedro, it's an incomparable experience. As a paella fan, I'm enthusiastic about the Paella Valenciana. And the Estrella Galizia on tap completes the Spanish lifestyle for me.

Spanish cuisine. It is a must-see for those staying in Berlin. The staff is welcoming, friendly and sociable. And the dishes are delicious.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and it wasn't good. The waiter almost dragged us inside, but he was friendly the whole time because no one was sitting there. The food wasn't good; the salad was cold and watery, and the sauce was as thin as a soup. The waiter, however, smoked a cigarette outside in front of us, which wasn't really necessary, and we're smokers too. Conclusion: We wouldn't go there again.

On Sunday, April 6th, 2025, we experienced an evening at Don Quijote at Bleibtreu Straße 41 in Berlin that we will remember for a long time. When entering the restaurant, it was immediately noticeable that people work here with real passion and dedication - an atmosphere that you rarely experience. We were particularly impressed by the “Anayon Cariñena 2020 Tinto con Crianza de la Denominación de Origen Cariñena, añada 2020”. This wine was a real highlight of the evening - full-bodied, elegant and with an incredibly fascinating taste that made every sip an experience. Even though we only ordered a small selection of dishes, the wine was the clear star of the menu. Another reason for our enthusiasm was the warmth and professionalism of the entire team. The owner, who we find to be a real original and the heart of the restaurant, immediately exuded a feeling of security and hospitality through her openness, honesty and relaxed manner. In stressful moments, she always remained calm and made it clear how much she lives her job - a role model that one should have in the catering industry. In short: If you are looking for a place where excellent wine, authentic hospitality and a touch of Spanish flair come together, you should definitely stop by Don Quijote. We are already looking forward to our next visit to enjoy more than just tapas and wine. Many thanks to the entire team for this unforgettable evening!

It's a shame that not all guests are treated equally. Despite a 10% tip for two people with a starter and main course, we were not offered any schnapps or anything similar on the house. Wat een fijne plek. We hebben in een gemoedelijke sfeer tapas gegeten. Smaakte heerlijk. Dus voor een ontspannen plek en aangename sfeer echt een aanrader. De eigenaresse is Spaans en zet een perfecte Spaanse sfeer neer. Goed vertoeven daar, ze snappen gastvrijheid.

If you are Spanish it is not your restaurant. At first, a very friendly man greeted us, he told us that he was Portuguese, he gave us the letter and asked us if we paid by card or cash, sorry! We haven't even made an order!!! By asking why. He says he prefers cash. When he told him that we would pay with a card for any change. He was no longer friendly and we were the last monkeys! Regular food and small quantity. At the tables of clients from the country (they spoke German) all kindness and full plates. Come on, you can see their feathers! Very expensive for what it is.

Valor alto pelo que foi servido. Pedimos tapas e camarões alla ahijo - as porções são muito pequenas, conhecemos vários restaurantes espanhois em diferentes lugares países, mas nunca vi pratos desse tamanho… uma pena, não vamos voltar.

Friendly service, pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately not much food for the money. The quail were mostly made of bones. The Schinkel platter for 19 euros was quickly eaten. We enjoyed it but even after eating it for 100 euros we were still hungry on the way home.

Ein weiterer netter lauschiger Abend in einer unserer "Hausadressen", diesmal zum public vuiewig Spanien - Frankreich. Essen wie immer; Authentsiche spanische Küche, boquerones fritos mit aioli und seiner sauce (hier kann man gut vergleichen bei diesem spanidchen Klassiker: Hier einfach supergut) , pimientos de padron und jamon iberico, Estrella vom Fass; wie immer supernetter Srevice

Not really a Spanish place. Paella valenciana with fish! and they argue it. Not worth the price and the staff is rude. Wouldn’t recommend this place, there are much better spanish restaurants to try in berlin

All in all, we had a great evening - very tasty food (garlic soup, pimentos, paella, three kinds of dessert) in a nice atmosphere and super friendly service. We can recommend this restaurant and will come back.

We were a large group, so we had a good overview of the food on offer. Overall, sobering. Overpriced. The fish soup tasted like broth, the meat dishes had the same sauce everywhere. At the end there were still discussions about drinks because the waiter couldn't handle the new cash register. Not recommended.

January 2024 We were here with a larger group. Had a separate room. Great Spanish food, fair prices, great service. Delicious desserts. You can come back here without hesitation.

So the food was basically not bad. But the steak, yes I know it's a Spanish restaurant, was tough as a shoe. The fish that my friend had, which according to the menu was a salmon fillet, was filled with bones. This should be different. Normal prices are generally quoted. The waiters were very friendly and quick. That was great. I probably won't come back though.

I know this place since early 90s. The name “Don Quixote” is itself classic. A real thorough Spanish kitchen with the accompanying service and ambience. One of my favorite Spanish in town.

Lecker, nett, faire Preise! Ich komme wieder und bringe die Mädels mit.

Mit einem Wort: Es war "urig"! Von außen macht das kleine Lokal in det Bleibtreustraße 41 nicht viel her. Die Tische draußen waren herbstzeitlich zusammengestellt, ein Kellner turnte irgendetwas reparierend vor der wenig einladend aussehrnden Tür. Der erste Blick ins Innere: Etwas schummrig, albacken, und dem maroden Berliner Charme gemäß. Drinnen dann nahezu erschlagend überall Versatzstücke spanischer Lebensart, bis hin zu von der Decke hängenden Schinken. Aber: die besten Plätze, mitten im Leben, mit Blick auf Gäste und Personal des Restaurants, sind genau sie, unter den Schinken! Die Karte umfangreich, aber mit Empfehlungen des Padron bietet einen ersten Überblick, z.B. Dank der Empfehlungen. Richtig interessant wird es dann durch die Empfehlungen des Padron - frischer Fisch, ganz nach Angebot des Marktes. Apéro - det Chef rmpfiehlt die hausgemachte Sangria- Wein und Wasser sind schnell geordert, ebenso die Speisen aus dem Meer. Zügig kommen erst ein etwas rustikal aussrhender Salat (Tomatenviertrl, fingerdicke Gurkenscheiben teilgeschält, Dosenmais, Salatschnipsel und Weißbrotwürfelchen, die wohl einst mal Croûtons sein wollten, aber jetzt eher drn Resten vom Vor-Vortag ähneln und auch so schmecken - alles in allem schade, so bitte nicht wieder!) und kurz danach die Garnelen in Knoblauch-Weißweinsauce mit gehörig Knoblauch und Chili (herrlich!), und das Brot mit Knoblauch auf den Tisch. Der galbe Liter Eein ist zu zweit schnell verdunstet, die zweite Dosis kommt prompt. Der Nachtisch zum Cafe qm Schluss des Mahls - Créma Catalana und ein Trio mit einer Kugel Eis - sind "fingerllicking yummy" - da möchte man auch als wohl Erwachsener getne mal wie früher den Teller ganz qblecken um sich nichts entgehen zu lassen!

Estupenda comida española en zona céntrica y bien comunicada. A destacar el jamón de Salamanca (no me dió tiempo a hacer la foto al plato sin tocar), y las gambas al ajillo. Y de plato principal las carnes y sopas, para combatir el frío del invierno berlinés. Su servicio muy atento en todo momento. Para repetir!

We were here for our office team dinner. Not many vegetarian options. However there was the classic vegetarian Paella - really tasty. Would have been nice to see a couple more options. Overall, it was a nice evening with a couple of street performers(not sure if they were from the restaurant) playing Spanish music.

All waiters were very professional and welcoming. However, the food is quite expensive for it's size/quality. Meat itself was done quite good, but the sides were blank

Sitzen draußen: Charlottenburg, Bleibtreustraße, Bürgersteig unter einer großen Markise: ehrlich mit Tischdecken, recht eng neben den Passanten und abwechselungsreich genau deshalb. Stoffservietten - sehr schön! Paella für zwei, wohlwollend leider nur: "naja", mit Abstand eher schlechter: sehr trocken, besonders die Garnelen. Der Kellner gab sich allerdings überzeugt, dass sie berühmt sei und sonst gemocht würde.

Wie waren in Charlottenburg, wir waren und Nachmittag ,wir haben eine spanische Restaurant und wir habe el don quijote gefunden , mein man hat eine Entrecote und ich eine dorade , wir hätten das Gefühl das in Spanien wäre , wegen guten Service und gute Atmosphäre und gute Essen , vielen Dank, wir kommen sehr gerne!! Un lugar donde puedes ir a comer donde el servicio es increíble.

Leider leider sehr enttäuscht gewesen. Die zwei Sterne gehen an das nette Personal und 2 von 3 Vorspeisem. Die Muscheln waren ungenießbar und der Rest war meiner Meinung nach zu teuer. kleine Garnelenpfanne mit einem kleinen Salat und sonst nichts dazu für ca 16 € fand ich dann schon eine Zumutung und die Kartoffeln waren leider überhaupt nicht, wie ich es aus anderen spanischen Restaurants gewohnt bin. Alles in allem leider nicht wirklich zu empfehlen.

Un arnaque. Nous avons dîné hier soir avec nos amis berlinois dans cet endroit. La table que nous avons réservé était déjà occupée par d'autres personnes. Nous avons attendus une demi heure pour avoir une nouvelle place. Je regrette : on aurait dû quitter ce lieu. Les ingrédients n'étaient pas frais, réchauffés, fades. Les propriétaires font semblant d'être espagnols, ils sont très drôles. Les moules que j'ai commandé: immangeables. Jamais j'ai goûté une chose pareil. Hasta nunca, don quijote!
