Never again! 2 adults, 2 children (4&5) Happy hour cocktails were still charged at full price. Bread with the tapas surcharge. In fact, only 2 adults ate and with 6 tapas they barely managed to feel full from starters. As a result, there was only a 90 cent tip without commenting on anything or being asked how it was... I was then exposed throughout the store for the tip. I replied that I was sorry and that we were not full and dissatisfied. This was followed by insults and we left the restaurant!

Very nice tapas bar with very good food. The service was nice and the place was nicely decorated. It is a bit cramped, but the good food can be accommodated without any problems.

The person who serves is super unpleasant, when we left, he told us not to return to that place for not leaving him a 20% tip, and he also told us that to consume a beer we could not stay more than 30 minutes. Treatment could be improved, unpleasant person, this does not represent what Spanish culture is, full of joy and happiness.

I have made a reservation, it is approved with an email. I just called to say I will be 15 min late. But they somehow couldn’t find the reservation and talked really not nice and very impolite . They shut the phone just like that to my face. I will never go there.

We reserved a table for Valentine's Day and were really looking forward to the Spanish food. The food was also okay and there was a schnapps on the house, which was very nice. However, when it came to payment and my companion was confused by all the tip options and then pressed no tip in a hurry, we were literally attacked by the waiter, possibly also the owner of the restaurant. You are not obliged to give a tip and in retrospect you would have liked to do it in cash after payment, but given the employee's behavior when there is no tip, that is no longer an option for me. He asked us why we didn't tip and whether the food wasn't tasty, we said no. He then said if we didn't tip, he would have to take €3 from the bar's money and pay this tip whatever. Afterwards he crumpled up our receipts and threw them in the corner; neither a goodbye nor a thank you was said. It's been a long time since I've had such bad and disgraceful service in a restaurant and I regret the visit there, which I was actually looking forward to. Guest is king and apparently is not considered a guest there under any circumstances. If you want to eat in a good atmosphere and in a well-kept location, then please go somewhere else.

We were a business group, we came with high expectations. The service was delayed, they were not attentive to the table, the food was good but otherwise, it could be greatly improved. The worst part: at the end of the dinner, they did not receive a card to pay, we brought clients and the situation was quite unpresentable. They should have warned this at the time of my reservation or indicated in the letter but no! And the quality-price ratio is super disproportionate. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant for large groups nor if you require a valid invoice.

Not a good experience. Bad service from an uninterested waiter. Dirty glasses, simple food (ordered tapas for 2), disgusting toilets, and very poor payment options. They only took cash or PayPal payment to an unprofessional email address. NOT to recommend!

Ambience is quite nice, food is too greasy and cold, what is on the menu is not correct. Placing the order was promising, but what arrived was all wrong. The quality was incredibly bad. Cocktails were quite ok.

We initially approached the store very positively, but were quickly disappointed. The garlic sauce champions were simply canned champions in cheap oil with garlic cloves. The ham tastes worse than from a simple supermarket. The calamari tasted like nothing and the goat cheese left a lot to be desired, although it was completely cold in the middle. Food that we didn't order was brought to the table and further orders for a drink were not followed up on or were simply forgotten. The most questionable thing, however, is the payment method: cash or Paypal. The invoice was presented to us digitally, photographed with a cell phone.

This used to be one of the best tapas places in Mitte and one of my favorites for years. But last time I visited, the quality of food had gone down. There was also just a single person serving the entire restaurant and even though it was just our table for an hour and the place was empty, ordering took considerable coordination. Nothing bad, just the taste, preparation and service did not reflect the prices any more.

If the son has successfully completed his bachelor's degree, something more comprehensive can be served up. Various tapas (Serano ham, patatas, chipirones, tartar de aguacate (avocado and crayfish tartare), chorizo ​​al vino tinto, queso de cabra gratinado and an excellent selection of wines. We enjoyed it very much.

(fish platter for 2) Maybe you have to combine the dishes a little differently, I don't know, but it was really too much like that. But the shrimp were very tasty and I also liked the anchovies. And also for the middle, 6.50 for a beer is really hard... Service was great, super nice employees.

We agree with the previous reviews. Were there on New Year's Eve. Here is a list of all the events that we could ultimately only take with humor: -The tables were set far too close together, which meant that some glasses broke during the evening. - After half an hour we were able to order. We waited a total of 40 minutes to even get our drinks. -We waited in vain for the starter, before that came the tapas plate. After asking three (!) times, the starter came. Before that, the waiter asked what the starter was. (On an evening when there is only one menu to choose from) At least an additional cheese plate came as an apology. -The tapas plate for two people that was brought was also incomplete. All the fish was missing so we got a new plate. -The cream was very tasty, but the tapas plate was rather semi-good. -We also had to get up and go to the waiter to pay. As an apology there was schnapps on the house. The gestures of reparations were very nice and I'm sure the waiters did their best that evening. For us it was still the first and last visit. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This restaurant is definitely deleting negative reviews… Service was non-existent. Took a long time to be served. Drinks orders were taken twice. Our food arrived and we were nearly finished eating, and drinks still had not come. We had to get up from the table and walk to the staff to remind them of the drinks order. Similar with the bill, we had to leave our table to ask for the bill - it never arrived. We stood up and decided to leave and pay at the same time, as we were tired waiting. The waiter offered us 4 shots, which was very strange as 2 of us ordered non-alcoholic beers, and we did not see him pour the shots … they were waiting on the counter for us. We didn’t receive an itemized bill. We were shown a photograph of the bill, taken on the waiter‘s phone. Very dodgy and unprofessional. The food was decent, but the service made the experience not worth it.

Many years ago it was a really good tapas shop. Since the owner changed, the quality and service has decreased dramatically. It's a shame because it used to be really good. We recently had a company dinner there and unfortunately agreements made in advance were not kept. I've also been chasing a decent bill for weeks... I won't go there anymore - neither privately, especially not with corporate customers. Update: I received the invoice after over 6 months of chasing. But it still wasn't worth the stress.

The bit expensive, but very good dishes, service and ambience.

It started off great, the food was very nice, but we had to wait and wave a long time to get a waiter to notice us a couple of times, even though the place was practically empty. When I went to the bathroom the boss told me to stick around after paying because we'd get something from the house. When I only tipped 1€ because I thought the service wasn't too good, nothing from the house arrived. He said he expected a bigger tip, but eventually did give us an aperitivo. Where I'm from you tip according to service, not because it is expected. Left with an unpleasant feeling after this, which is a shame cus the food was great.

We booked for Christmas and it turned out to be a big disappointment. First they gave us the menu... 20 minutes after ordering the waiter came by to tell us that we couldn't order anything, that we can only order the Christmas menu (which they never told us about and it was obviously more expensive). After two hours of waiting we ended up eating a very dry paella and for dessert they brought only one crema catalana to the table (not one per person). When paying they had already included the service, something they didn't tell us and we didn't realize until we checked later. Basically, average food, very expensive prices and disorganized service. NO LO RECOMIENDO.

We came on NYE and the ambience was great! The food was good too - we got the tapas platter. It had amazing shrimp, delicious peppers & potatoes, good sausage, and solid calamari (some were tender, some were not). The anchovies were, well, anchovies ... The creme de Catalina was out of this world! Props. Alas, the sangria was flavorful but watery. The staff was really friendly but didn't seem organized to handle the crowd of NYE. All in all, good food and a great place, but a little chaotic. We'll try again, on a non-holiday, if the opportunity arises!

Our Christmas dinner experience was disappointing from start to finish. Despite booking a table in advance, we were informed upon arrival that we couldn’t order what we wanted as there was only one set menu available for the evening. This menu, advertised as suitable for three people, was far from sufficient to satisfy us. The highlight of the evening ended up being the two doners we ordered after leaving the restaurant. Definitely not the festive meal we had hoped for.

The mixed tapas platter was well filled, but everything was very fried. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was a bit strange because everything was decorated for Christmas. So nobody has to go home hungry here, but the quality of the ham and calamari etc. left a lot to be desired.

We had a nice family evening and wanted to eat a few small, delicious tapas around 9 p.m. if only we had avoided this restaurant. The food was absolutely subterranean and had absolutely nothing to do with Spain but more with microwave and frozen food. The first service employee had huge problems even understanding what we wanted to order from the menu there, forgot things or brought them incorrectly. The highlight was that the microwave food was put in front of us and then the table was set with cutlery etc. Last but not least, a 10% tip was secretly typed into the debit card for this amazing service (joke), which we took out again and when people were surprised, I also told the gentleman that we were completely dissatisfied, but he was no longer interested in that, He just said they would have to pay extra out of their pocket if we didn't tip. 🤣🤣 If you have the opportunity and are not starving, give this truly underground (restaurant) a wide berth.

The so-called tapas plate consisted almost entirely of potatoes, the lamb skewers were very tough. Overall disappointing and too expensive.

We come to Atame because it is a supposedly Spanish place (Spanish flags no longer fit). When we arrive the place is empty, we ask for 2 red Martinis and Manchego cheese. The waiter was very friendly but he doesn't speak Spanish, which already makes me a little doubtful. He brings us 2 white vermouths, we tell him that it was rosso (they are on the menu) and he leaves, he comes with someone on the phone who speaks Spanish, we tell him that they were rosso martinis and he tells us that they don't have them. We tell the guy on the phone to give us a couple of summer red wines. We had the cheese, it was not bad, and 2 glasses of “tinto d'ummer” (wine with soda). The price of the cheese menu is €8.50, the price of the bill is €10.50. We tell him and he corrects it in our account. Bad place? No; Spanish? neither; would I go back? No.

Our visit was a complete disaster. Drinks were forgotten and the wrong food was brought. When I politely pointed out that I had ordered something else and my drink was missing, the waiter reacted annoyed and hissed off without saying a word. The food was a joke. It was ready in no time and tasted like frozen food. If you're too lazy to buy canned mushrooms and frozen croquettes, you're in good hands here. When paying, the waiter preset a 10% tip. Luckily we saw this and canceled it, because asking for a tip for this is probably a bad joke. The waiter then got angry and said that we should pay for it, otherwise he would have to pay for it out of his own pocket. Trying to explain to him objectively that we were dissatisfied with the service, he turned around and left. Apparently he didn't care about this explanation. This cannot be surpassed in terms of cheekiness and arrogance.

If you have enough time, are not hungry and are very patient, you are in good hands here. The staff is very chaotic, has no overview, we were in a queue and were served last. After an hour we still didn't have our food. The plate is just enough for two and is a disgrace considering the price.

The place is well located, the area is cool and the place is well suited, the attention and service is good. If we talk about prices, it's crazy since we're talking about tapas (small ones), the cheapest one is 8 euros (patatas bravas, which didn't have anything brava, nor did they have aioli) and from there on up...the serving of bread is 2 ,50×3 slices of bread. So per bajito it's 25 euros or more depending on the tapa or drink you order...so particularly, I won't go back...

The menu for €12 is a disgrace, raw food and very long preparation times. It is not Spanish and I do not recommend it. The waiter was nice.

Went mid-day so maybe caught staff off-hours, but the food was mediocre (ready in just 2 minutes which means it was microwaved), the service was pretty terrible with me having to call the waiter over to pay, and after they saw cash in my wallet, told me they don’t accept card even though I could see their payment terminal.

Well, unfortunately not so great for a Spaniard. Little choice, little ambience...no feeling of Spain. Canned champions and little seasoning. It wasn't typically Spanish in any way. Sorry

Food: 3.5 stars. I tried the meat/cheese mix platter (best part of the meal), pimientos, albondigas (a bit dry), lamb skewers (dry and chewy) and mushrooms (quite bland). Actually their complimentary bread and olives were more impressive than some of the dishes. The food isn’t bad, just nothing special and a bit overpriced. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice, except for the super loud speakers playing music, very hard to converse, especially if you’re sitting inside. Overall a decent experience but nothing special.

We were here for dinner. Unfortunately, neither the service nor the food was particularly good. We shared a tapas platter that was far too greasy and otherwise didn't taste good. For the very high price (€55 for 2 people) I would have expected much more. In my opinion, value for money is not right here. As others have already written, the service was ok. But in order to order, we had to proactively ask. When we didn't tip because of the negative experience, we didn't even get a look or a farewell. We certainly won't be coming back!

We really enjoyed the tapas. We had meatballs in a delicious tomato sauce, pork fillet with mango, a chicken breast fillet skewer with spicy chorizo and prunes wrapped in bacon. The bread with the aioli cream also tasted good.

Spanish food? A bad joke for a sorry hole by a mind with no notion of cooking. Warm beer, standard goat cheese brought straight from the shelf of any average supermarket is the safest you can get among the geasy food served in this place. A far cry from spanish food or any food at all.

The tapas were okay, although not outstanding. The atmosphere is more like a tourist bar than a tapas bar, but it's not that wild. What's more annoying is that we've been waiting for an invoice for weeks, but despite repeated reminders, this apparently presents the company with an impossible task.

We ate here before heading to the jazz club. The food was fresh and the menu pretty extensive. The service was friendly and prompt. Initially paying by card seemed to be an issue, but they managed to make that work. I would definitely recommend and would return next time I was in Berlin.

We stopped here for drinks on a whim. The drinks were pretty rubbish and the service was quite blunt. When we tried to pay with a card (despite them having a functioning card machine) they asked for cash and didn't give the change until we asked for it.

Seedy place, unacceptable food and the workers seemed exploited. Not recommended at all.
