A superb wine tavern with excellent service. They even got me an air pump, saving me time on my ride home.

A great, rustic snack bar, although we only got to know it from the outside. The weather was simply too good for indoors. We had a delicious trout and a delicious Bibeles cheese with onions and caraway, both served with delicious bread. The blackcurrant juice spritzer, the cherry secco, and the cider were also very tasty. I highly recommend the secco to any sparkling wine or Prosecco lover.

Rustic ostriches. Friendly staff. The trout is smoked in-house, and the smell alone makes your mouth water. There's more than enough fresh bread to accompany the Lyoner and other snack platters. The dining room is very cozy.

Good food, not a huge selection But a great location and atmosphere. There's also a self-service liquor fountain here :)

Great, I can only recommend it, especially the smoked trout.

Quaint pub with outdoor seating, great food, and first-class service. The climb is worth it...the smoked trout that was carried past me was absolutely amazing. Not trout...trout!! Check their website for opening hours. Oh, and around the corner, there's a schnapps brewery. Their eggnog—hmmmm.

Great location, fantastic view, delicious snack platter and Bibeleskäse (cheese) with generous portions, and on Saturday we had fantastic live music with guitar 🎸 and top-notch singing!!! We'd love to come back!

Best trout in the Black Forest 😉

We only used the self-service drinks area outside of opening hours and enjoyed a pleasant hiking break. There was a significantly larger selection of non-alcoholic beverages than at other liquor fountains.

What a special place! Truly beautiful location, super friendly people, and the best sour beans in the world!

Wonderful views, very good and attentive service. The mostly cold dishes are consistently of the highest quality and fresh. The prices are reasonable, especially compared to restaurants in the valley or in the city. It's quiet and relaxing. Definitely worth a visit (or several).

The hike from Murberg is beautiful. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't open until 3 p.m. If you want dinner, it's not practical that it opens until then. Many people would probably like something for lunch. Opening hours from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. would be more convenient. Therefore, I'm afraid I can't give a review.

A lovely little place, selling large portions of home-made cheeses and ham. Smoked trout is the speciality and everything is delicious. Everyone sits together on long benches and the atmosphere is terrific!

A great insider tip! The Dolle Frieder restaurant in the Black Forest is a true gem! The location and ambience of the restaurant are unique - surrounded by breathtaking nature, there is a fantastic view that you can enjoy every time you visit. The atmosphere in the restaurant is extremely cozy and homely, which makes your stay particularly pleasant. The food is absolutely delicious – freshly prepared and tastes excellent. There's nothing wrong with the price-performance ratio, you really get something for your money here. A very special highlight is the owner of the Strausenwirtschaft, who always treats his guests with a lot of charm, sympathy and courtesy. You immediately feel welcome and well looked after. I like to come here regularly and again and again - for the great cuisine, the wonderful location and the warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

This is your hiking, laid back, cozy place for quick home made food after your relaxing day. What a food, what a view...

Unfortunately no beer garden was open that day. There is still the opportunity to purchase drinks and spirits there. There are refrigerators set up with a matter of trust. Very popular with hikers, there is a great view from up there. It's a narrow road up, with more gravel at the top. ⚠️ no parking space available. Anyone who comes here has found a magical place to stay

Still the best trout around, the Bibleeskäs is also highly recommended. Plus the great cherry wine, all served by attentive and friendly service. We left nothing to be desired.

Ein wunderschönes Ausflugsziel in der Nähe der Hornisgrinde. An der leckeren Forelle führt kein Weg vorbei! Ich gehe da immer wieder gerne hin. Toller Ausblick, nettes und freundliches Personal!

War uns zu voll und überlaufen. Wir haben uns nicht willkommen gefühlt, und sind wieder gegangen, obwohl der Ort selbst wirklich hübsch ist.

Wer in Sasbachwalden Urlaub macht oder hier und in der Umgebung lebt, kennt den Dolle Frieder. Dieser einzigartige Charme, dieses Urgemütliche, das Runterkommen, die traumhafte Aussieht bietet diese Burewirtschaft, mit familiärer Atmosphäre und Tradition, das zeichnet den Dolle Frieder aus. Super leckeres Essen aus der Heimat. Einfach nur lecker. Tolle heimische Getränke. Hier fühlt man sich einfach wohl. Ein herzlicher Service rundet das Bild ab. Immer wieder sehr gerne dort. Auch ein Ort, um Freunden und ausländischen Gästen, die so etwas nicht kennen oder bei sich haben, unsere badische Gastlichkeit zu zeigen.

Traditionelles Essen auf Bauernhof. Wenig Gerichte zur Auswahl, jedoch sehr lecker. Die Frisch geräucherter Forellen und der Bibbeleskäse kann ich besonders empfehlen. Super Aussicht und netter Service. Empfehlenswert für alle die den Schwarzwald gerne auch kulinarisch kennenlernen möchten. Tische mit Service oben, die anderen Tische (aber mit besserer Aussicht) Selbstbedienung.

Lekker eenvoudig maar goed eten

Sehr schönes Ausflugsziel, das zum verweilen einlädt. Zu Fuß erreichbar, z. B. über den Wanderpfad am wilden Sasbach entlang, oder auch mit dem Auto erreichbar. Die Wirtschaft ist sowohl bewirtet,man kann sich aber auch am Bier und Schnapsbrunnen selbst bedienen. Neben alkoholischen Getränke gibt es auch nicht alkoholische Getränke.

Wir kommen immer wieder seit 25 Jahren zu diesem schönen Ort, es ist immer wieder super schön, lecker feine geräucherte Forellen gibt's , feinen Kirschwein, und vieles anderes leckeres

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, freundliche und nette Bedienung. Hier sind alle immer gut drauf. Die Location liegt traumhaft. Ach ja das Essen. Die geräucherten Forellen sind ein Gaumenschmaus. Die sauren Bohnen, der Bibeleskäse einfach alles schmeckt sehr gut. Nicht zu zu vergessen, dass trinken. Der Müller und der Spätburgunder sind gut. Der Most ist für mich der beste. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.

Superbe endroit. La truite est très bonne . Les autres plats sont simples et très bon également. On sert soi-même les boissons que l'on paie dans une petite caisse à côté. Le cadre est magnifique.

In gemütlicher Atmosphäre (wenn nicht grad ein paar Tropfen Wasser vom Himmel fallen 😉) und bei tollem Ausblick kann man hier sehr lecker essen und köstlichen Kirschwein genießen...alles zubereitet von einer ganz zauberhaften Familie. Ich komme gerne wieder.

s' Dolle Frieders Straußwirtschaft ist ein großartiger Tipp für Wanderer mit Appetit auf Deftiges und Regionales (im Prinzip alles aus eigener Wirtschaft). Absolut angemessene Preise, freundliche und familiäre Atmosphäre. Zudem haben Kinder und Erwachsenen die Gelegenheit Esel, Schafe, Hühner und Kühe zu bewundern.
