Dolce Vita Trattoria & Pizzeria in Leipzig

The pizza was cold, service was okay. Since I can't tolerate alcohol at all, I ordered a 0.5 Bitburger 0.0 non-alcoholic for 4.90 euros and got a Becks 0.33 l for the same price. The menu says Bitburger 0.0 non-alcoholic and no Becks at all. By law, only what is on the menu is served, or the guest must be informed in advance. Not recommended

Yesterday we went to this beautiful restaurant after our shopping trip, we got a seat outside without pre-ordering, everything was great up until then, we ordered and got our drink straight away and later also the appetizer that I ordered, unfortunately it took a loooong time after that nothing more (1 hour had passed by then) we were very patient and waited, but then became more and more dissatisfied and, to be honest, angry because everyone else who came late after us had already eaten and paid for their food. When we were about to get up to pay for what we had so far and leave, a waiter came and suddenly asked if we would like something else to drink and that our food would come in 2 minutes. I am a very nice and patient person and very tolerant, but what I don't think is great is being forgotten and then you don't even get an apology. We definitely won't come here again because this experience ruined our entire evening.

We were there for dinner on a Sunday evening. There was a free table for us, without pre-ordering. We were served very friendly and the food we ordered (pasta and gnocchi) arrived after a reasonable wait. All dishes were very tasty. We were completely satisfied and can only recommend it.

You can sit here nicely in the barefoot alley. The tables, with their checkered tablecloths, make a clean and inviting impression. The food is mediocre :( I had a spaghetti carbonara. Unfortunately, it wasn't really well done. The spaghetti was swimming in oil, although none of it belongs in carbonara. The egg and cheese were also flaky…. All in all not really recommended. I can't say what the other dishes are like. My wife had spaghetti frutti di mare. It wasn't great, but ok.

Luckily we hadn't read the reviews of La Dolce Vita, some of which weren't particularly good, otherwise we might not have come here today, which would have been a shame. There wasn't much going on so we were able to sit at a comfortable table for four with a bench. The service lady was very friendly and attentive throughout our entire visit. In between we were also served food and drinks by two different gentlemen who weren't unfriendly, but would have liked to have smiled. The restaurant is not overloaded with all sorts of knick-knacks but rather discreetly decorated with pictures, spirits bottles and checkered tablecloths. Overall, it seemed harmonious and inviting to me. Everything was clean, including the toilets. These are located on the upper floor, so the restaurant is only partially recommended for wheelchair users. There were four of us and we had Bruschetta (€8.90), Caprese (€16.90), Vitello Tonato (€16.90), Pizza Parma (€16.90), Spaghetti Carbonara (€12.90), Tagliatelle Punto di filletto (€16.90) and Affogato (double espresso with vanilla ice cream, €6.50). The warm dishes also arrived at our table warm or hot. We were very satisfied with the taste of all the dishes. I would like to emphasize that the carbonara is cooked traditionally here, that is, with bacon, egg and cheese and WITHOUT cream. Now the points of criticism: The bruschetta was black in some places on the edge, which I personally don't like and had to scrape off first. I would have liked a less wide unlined edge on my pizza. The ice cream pellet in the affogato should be at least twice as big, especially considering the price. But since a double espresso alone costs €5.20, there's probably not more in it. And that brings us to the main problem: the prices. Yes, everything has become more expensive. But even taking current inflation into account, the price-performance ratio for some dishes did not seem appropriate to us. Four small bruschettas at a price of €8.90 should also be mentioned here. Overall, we found our visit to La Dolce Vita very enjoyable, but given the prices, we're not sure we'll be back anytime soon.

Wonderful Italian restaurant in the heart of Leipzig with super friendly service and excellent pasta, highly recommended!

Luxury, style, class, taste and....All gathered in one place. We tried a lot of things meat, salad, dessert, wine - 10/10 ♡ The staff was very kind and smiling ♡ Also located in a great location. I would definitely like to go back there again.

Spontan eingekehrt, weil uns die Lage gefallen hat. Direkt am Barfußgässchen gelegen, kann man schön dem Treiben zu schauen. Service sehr schnell und sehr freundlich. Das Essen war in Ordnung, die Lasagne hat gut geschmeckt, die Calzone hat noch Luft nach oben.

Absolute Tourifalle! Man sitzt nett im Barfüßergässchen und hat was zu schauen, das war es dann aber auch schon. Antipastiteller stand vermutlich schon den ganzen Tag, Salami schon etwas grau. Zanderfilet mit Pfifferlingen für 30€ war billiges Tiefkühlfilet mit labbrigen Pfifferlingen, völlig ungewürzt. Ravioli mit Trüffeln bestellt, keine Trüffel dran gewesen. Kritik wurde emotionslos hingenommen, ist ihnen vermutlich egal, weil sie ihre Plätze aufgrund der Lage immer wieder füllen. Wir hatten Magenprobleme und werden sicher nicht mehr hingehen.

Recommended...authentic Italian food...great pizza (it could be a little spicier), good service and a nice ambience.

We had dinner here today in this nice location, in the middle of the lively barefoot alley. The service was very responsive and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. My “Pizza of the Year 2023” (with pesto, parmesan slices, cherry tomatoes and burrata) was so good that we will definitely come back here if we come to Leipzig again for a short vacation.

Even though everything was full that day, we were lucky one to find a table! Everyone was so kind and the food was delicious! We took one carbonara and one pizza!

The Italian restaurant is located directly on Barfußgasse, so there isn't a lot of space, there is a good volume at peak times and the chairs and tables are not stationary and tilt. The service is okay. Not unfriendly and not intrusive, but also very economical. The food is edible but nothing special. The pizza wasn't bad but very, very soft. Even I, as a meat lover, sorted out the ham. Not bad as a restaurant for in between meals or for a quick meal. However, you should look for something else if you have high standards. In the end we paid a total of 42 euros for 2 drinks and 2 dishes for mediocre food. Far too much for the quality offered. [My opinion]

Very good trattoria at the end of Barfußgässchen with authentic Italian cuisine. The food is very good, the menu offers something for everyone, is balanced and carefully put together. The patron and his team are very attentive and friendly. The ambience transports the guest to what appears to be the original flair of Italian cities. We'd love to come back.

What can you say Limoncello Spritz bland and watered down. Pizza size was great, but you had to look for the salmon and spinach on it, garlic was completely missing and otherwise the taste was very bland to almost not seasoned, which is what the neighboring tables said about the pasta, so we hoped for the pizza. We're definitely not coming back!

We were there for lunch with a group of 6 people and had 3 pastas (lunch special) and 2 pizzas (lunch special) and a pizza a la carte. The food was delicious, but in our opinion it took too long... the place wasn't full and three pizzas usually arrive at the table within 5-10 minutes... service was very nice and courteous... but there is still room for improvement...since I lived in Italy for 7 years, I think I can judge it quite well...ultimately I would go there again and recommend this restaurant.

In the evening we went to Dolce Vita Trattoria & Pizzeria. The alley was full of people and it was difficult to find space and therefore narrow. Nevertheless, we were served quickly and friendly. The pizza was very tasty. In the photo you can see Pizza Colosseo without mushrooms. A little too expensive for €16.90, but at least we were in the tourist hotspot and the quality was very good.

The 10 of us wanted to stop for dinner and drinks during the lunch break. We were told quite rudely that such a large group wouldn't be possible without registration and that we wouldn't be able to divide it into three tables. Afterwards we were insulted as we left. So clearly, no recommendation! Here exists Gastronomically there is a lot of catching up to do!

I was delighted to be treated warmly by the manager Santo! The cuisine is typically Italian! I can recommend it with a clear conscience! An abbraccio santo e forza Napoli.

We were lured by the daily special. The two of us had penne and a broccoli pizza. Unfortunately, both are very manageable and not filling. The pizza didn't taste convincing either. A typical tourist restaurant. The staff unfortunately despite it being almost empty Restaurant not service-oriented towards the guest. The ambience is great.

We were on a short vacation in Leipzig and sat down in this beautiful restaurant on the first evening. We were immediately offered a free table, a great drink recommendation followed and we decided on pizza and spaghetti del mare, which was delicious. The next day we tried rump steak with truffle sauce, and on the last day we had lasagna. The pizza bread with olives is also very tasty, as is the grilled salmon. The tiramisu is heavenly. What should be highlighted is the very nice service, especially the service manager. He's adorable and always has a good tip for the day. A must for visitors to the Barfußgäßchen.

When several people wanted to have a drink outside and some also wanted to eat a little something, they were sent away in a very unfriendly manner because not everyone wanted to eat, even though only two tables were occupied. As I have now discovered, this is not an isolated case. How does a shop like this make its income, perhaps through a special type of laundry?

Great food! Carpaccio mega! The salmon was a bit too far, but the salmon is forgiving as it is fatty. All in all a very good restaurant and really recommended!

I was in this restaurant with friends and ordered a Quattro Staggioni pizza. Unfortunately it took almost an hour for the food to arrive. The pizza was a disgrace to Italian cuisine. The toppings were saved to such an extent that 4 thin islands or staggioni were made from the toppings on the pizza. Cheese and tomato sauce were spread very thinly and the dough was extremely tough, so that it was difficult to cut the pizza with the blunt tool provided. Certainly my worst pizza in the last 10 years. Every frozen pizza wins. And then 15 euros for that!!! You could taste the pure chemistry from the advertised “house lemonade”. Impossible! It was our last visit to this restaurant!

Simple Italian restaurant in one of the coziest corners of Leipzig. We spontaneously went out for a beer on site and only ate a little something. The atmosphere outside is cozy and lives from the charm of the barefoot bunny. It's great to watch the people strolling by and sit and relax. The service in the restaurant was friendly and attentive. The food was okay, but rather simple and a bit bland - I prefer the bruschetta bread toasted, for example.

We wanted to treat ourselves to a delicious meal after visiting a variety show. Our tagliatelle with beef strips were at the table after just under 10 minutes, but they tasted very bland, the pasta was too soft and the taste of the parmesan we asked for didn't meet our expectations. It's a shame - the food used to be much better. We also told the waiter our criticism directly.

The pizza is very tasty, but the base is thin. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant looks and feels cozy. You could eat the pizza straight away 😋 The non-alcoholic cocktail is very tasty! Not too bitter and too sweet after stirring.

The restaurant and the menu initially seemed okay to us, but the pizzas we ordered clearly weren't what was on the menu. There was supposed to be a pizza with SALMON, but what came was a pizza with a white fish, probably cod, which was also frozen. After we sent the pizzas back to the kitchen, they came back with exactly the same fish. Although they claimed there was salmon on the pizza, it clearly wasn't!!! That was fraud. We definitely wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend it to people expecting delicious Italian food.

There was no salmon on the spinach and salmon pizza! After a complaint we were served pizza with the same salmon substitute! It was clearly not salmon, but a “white fleshed” fish. The operator left the service staff completely alone. No chef or anyone else in charge showed up. The bruscetta was swimming in oil. The oil wasn't olive oil either, at most it was very poor quality. Unfortunately the beer was also warm. The store is not recommended, in fact it is highly discouraged to go there.

The food was very good and fairly priced, but unfortunately there was no suitable cutlery for the pizza. Sharp knives would be desirable.

Ambiance is nice, a bit small but ok. The service was friendly and attentive. My food (lasagna) was fresh and hot, the minced meat was unfortunately very overcooked and was just a porridge and I was missing any hint of spice. My wife also had spaghetti frutti de mare. She also complained about a lack of seasoning.

Sensational! Stopped in spontaneously and felt like I was in Italy. Pizza Salami e Funghi like it couldn't be better. Tasty Pinot Grigio. Waiter very authentic and nice, directly involved in a technical discussion about AC Milan. Heart, what do you want more. grace

The service was friendly. The pizza barely had a crust in the middle and was doughy. The topping was a bit too much for me personally and I would have preferred a different distribution. Since the restaurant was empty, it's difficult for me to rate the ambience. But the waiters made it a bit embarrassing...

The server was wearing sports tracksuits, didn't write down any of our order and then got it wrong. We ordered the seafood spaghetti and salmon tagliatelle and received the bistecca spaghetti instead of the salmon dish. My partner is vegetarian so could not eat this, but we just swapped dishes and didn't make a fuss as we were hungry. We also specifically asked for the Bruschetta to arrive before the pasta dishes but it all came together (after a suspiciously short amount of time). It was disappointing for so little care to be taken to our order, as the restaurant was almost completely empty. Although the order was wrong, it was all extremely tasty, and the bruschetta is particularly amazing.

Wenn meine VorrednerIn schreibt, dieses Restaurant ist eins der besseren italienischen, dann ist das wirklich erschreckend, wie mögen dann die anderen sein? Das Ambiente hat etwas von Bahnhofshalle, auch genauso zugig, die Kälte durch hereinkommende Gäste wird durch nichts gebremst. Vielleicht ist es im 1. OG wärmer. Ich hatte die empfohlenen Spaghetti Carbonara, die in meinem Fall Rührei mit Speck und Nudeln waren. Die Pizze meiner Mitessenden war wohl ok, die Preise dazu ziemlich "gehoben". Allerdings erwarte ich bei gehobenen Preisen auch gehobene Küche. Lieber Koch, das mit den Spaghetti müssen Sie nochmal üben. Und liebe Kellner, bitte achtet vor dem Servieren mit drauf, was an Essen zum Gast rausgeht. Dann könnt ihr da noch gegensteuern.

Pizza war nicht vorgeschnitten und in der Mitte ziemlich teigig, Spaghetti Frutti di Mare wurden lauwarm serviert und bestanden aus Spaghetti mit Kochschinken mit Sahnesouße. Für den Hund gab es leider kein Schälchen mit Wasser.

Sehr gutes Restaurant, nur zu empfehlen. Wir haben schon einige italienische Restaurants in Leipzig ausprobiert, dieses hier gehört definitiv zu den besten. Ambiente ist schön und das Essen war sehr lecker, traditionell italienisch. Keine langen Wartezeiten und sehr nette Bedienung. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Sehr schön gelegen mit freundlichen Service. Wer gerne Tomatensauce mag wird hier bei Pizza und Nudelgerichten nicht enttäuscht.

I don’t recommend this restaurant. Starting from waitress who wasn’t friendly and didn’t bring menu or cutleries. Pizza was ok but they didn’t cut it and knife wasn’t suitable for it. Salmon pasta wasn’t tasty at all. When we told waitress about it, she started to argue with us. Please do anything with the service, that ruins everything!

Oceňuji poměrně velký výběr pokrmů a možnost sedět venku i uvnitř. Obsluha je však pomalejší a za nedostatek rozhodně považuji menu pouze v italštině a němčině, nikoliv v angličtině. Pizzerie se nachází kousek od centra.

Ottima cucina con materie prime di qualità. Pizza come in Italia, veramente deliziosa.Personale simpatico e professionale. Santo, il nostro cameriere, ci ha consigliato al meglio e ci ha fatto sentire come a casa.

Wir haben hier wirklich ausgezeichnet gegessen. Die Pizza war wirklich eine der besten, die ich je gegessen hatte, der Service sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und flott. Absolute Empfehlung!

Bei sonnigen Wetter schön auf der Terrasse gesessen und Pizza gegessen.Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Besonders das Pizzabrot ist zu erwähnen. Der Rest war auf sehr gutem Niveau und bedenkenlos zu empfehlen. Man sitzt im Barfußgässchen, der Gastro Meile von Leipzig sehr nett und hat allerhand zu beobachten. Der Chef ist sehr nett und aufmerksam.

Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm und man kann nett dort sitzen. Die Nudeln sind leider eher unterer Durchschnitt. Wenig gewürzt, wenig Geschmack und dafür viel zu teuer. Für ein Getränk ok, Essen gehen kann man sicher woanders deutlich besser.
