Unfortunately I have to deduct a star from the service because delivery took a really long time this time. Still, I'm a big fan of Diya's excellent food and her fair prices. The quality of the food is always first class, fresh and tastefully prepared. I particularly appreciate the variety of dishes and the attention to detail. A clear recommendation for everyone who appreciates good food!

I recently visited Diya in Frankfurt and it was a fantastic experience. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, instantly making me feel at home. Wir hatten die Vorspeisenplatte, welche heiss, gut gewürzt und schnell serviert wurde. Die Hauptspeisen, Lamb Tikka Masala und Dhal Makhani waren extrem lecker. Die Atmosphäre war sehr gepflegt, und seitdem der Eigentümer im Januar 2024 gewechselt hat, ist es ein neues Restaurant. Sehr zu empfehlen, eines der besten indischen Restaurants in Frankfurt!

Little insider tip! Incredibly good food and really great service (also great value for money). We had dinner with a large group at our favorite Indian restaurant and everyone loved it. We had meat and vegetarian dishes, starters, super good Garlic Naan and Mango Lassi. Mango chutney, mint sauce and sparkling hot pickled mango on the house rounded everything off. The service was very friendly and extremely attentive, explained a lot about the food when we asked and if something was running low, it was refilled immediately. At the end we got homemade banana schnapps on the house. A wonderful evening!

Ordered the food by phone at 5:45 p.m., called at 6:50 p.m. to find out what was going on, they said the colleague hadn't typed the order, even though it was exactly this employee himself who was on the phone because he knew what I had ordered, I said OK, no problem, then they said the driver should arrive any moment, at 7:05 p.m. I called again and the words were 'he'll be there soon, we can't do more than apologize' after the driver was there (over 1.5 hours ) he dropped my food as he came up and handed the food into my hand with the bowl broken. I said it took too long and his statement was 'I can either take it with me or you pay', just as disrespectful as his statement that he had 10 butter chickens in the car and it was normal for them to fly around. After these disrespectful comments, I had enough and gave him the food back and sent him away. The goal should be to be able to welcome a customer permanently, not to charge even €20 that isn't even justified, even if I'm not the king as a customer, but I still want to be treated with respect and get the appropriate service for the money I pay. Absolute impudence.

We were there for lunch today. 5 star service and ambience. Clean, cozy and suitable for groups. Food was tasteful and sufficient. As a large group, all wishes were taken into account. Special recommendations: Tandoori Platter and Byriani. Highly Recommended.

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in RESTAURANTS DIYA. I had a 3 course meal, with a couple of beers. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who want a romantic night out. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups.

This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

It's a nice cozy place that serves lovely food and has very friendly staff. Also very easy to reach by public transport, what with a U station and a Tram stop a minute or two walking distance away. In fact I was there for a birthday party. So one can easily think of a having a get together of about 30-40 people here. I'll go again for sure!! :)

Such a nice restaurant with great hospitality. It surely doesn't get better than this. We hosted a birthday party for our daughter there. Food was tasty, place is sufficient, staff is super friendly, well within our budget, reachability was very good. List goes on. 1 thing I'd like to highlight is the staff is very nice. Jashan & Harsh actually helped us in decoration & all. A must visit if you want authentic North Indian flavor & great party-hosting place. I really liked Chilly Paneer there.

We live nearby and have eaten at Diya many times previously, so we decided to come here once more. We were here with my family and my mother visiting from abroad. The food was excellent, the atmosphere is very Indian, and the server was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. As an example: My son wasn't sure what he wanted to eat, he wanted a chicken curry but our server was concerned that this would be too spicy for him. He suggested that my son try the butter chicken and even offered to switch it to a different meal if he didn't like it! I can recommend their biryanis and anything made in the tandoor oven. Thank you, we will be coming back soon!

Das ist definitiv das beste indische Restaurant, das ich je besucht habe. Das Essen ist köstlich, das Personal ist äußerst kompetent und freundlich, und die Atmosphäre ist sehr gemütlich. Sauberkeit ist hier ein großes Plus ,sobald Kunden aufstehen, wird sofort aufgeräumt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Tja hm, also ich hab noch nie so ein mildes, nach eher wenig schmeckendes Chicken curry gegessen. Für den bürgerlichen deutschen Gaumen sicher gut, aber scheint mir wenig authentisch. Ambiente ist ganz nett, Portionen sind von guter Größe.

Super Adresse für indisches Essen. Freundlicher und netter Service, schönes Ambiente innen, auch wenn man das von außen erstmal gar nicht denkt. Tisch sehr schön gedeckt mit passendem Geschirr und Servietten und super super leckeres Essen. Das war bisher der beste Inder wo wir bisher waren. Absolute Empfehlung. Auch unsere Kinder (10 und 14) fanden es sehr schön und lecker! Das Mango Lassi ein Traum! Wir kommen definitiv wieder!!! Auch das restliche Essen wurde toll eingepackt mit einer extra Portion Reis, da bei uns nicht soviel übrig war. Vielen lieben Dank für das tolle Erlebnis!

Alle 4 Gerichte die wir gegessen haben waren sehr lecker. Geschmacklich wirklich vorzüglich. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente könnte noch ein bisschen schöner sein und mit z.B. Musik hinterlegt sein. Es war nicht zu voll, aber man hat gesehen dass eine große Menge an Essen auch über den Lieferservice abgeholt wurde. Fazit: preislich nicht ganz günstig aber gerade noch okay. Das Essen ist absolut zu empfehlen.

Man sitz zwar nicht wie der Maharadscha, aber wird bedient wie dieser. Echtes indisches Geschmacks Erlebnis. Wir saßen draußen unter den Arkaden, wo es trotz der vielbefahrenen Straße erstaunlich ruhig ist. Dem Ambiente täten eine grüne Hand und ein Besuch im Dekoshop gut. Dafür ist das Essen aber auch authentisch. Der Gruß aus der Küche ist schon ein Geschmacks Erlebnis. Wir hatten mit Navrattan Korma und Malai Kofka zwei wunderbare vegetarische Gerichte, obwohl wir keine Vegetarier sind. Die Lastenradfahrende Nordendgemeinde fehlt im Besucherbild, mit anderen Worten man sitz schön mit Nachbarn jeder Couleur zusammen. Das Bier vom Fass ist frisch und kühl. Hausgemachte Limo dito.

Ein sehr schönes, familiär geführtes indisches Restaurant. Man wird sehr freundlich und zuverlässig bedient. Das Essen und die Getränke kommen schnell und die Variationen an Getränken (selbst gemachte Limonaden etc.) und Diebstähle an verschiedenen Essen sind riesig. Man kann drinnen und draußen sitzen und Wein essen genießen. Bezahlen kann man bar und mit Karte..

Top essen und top Bedienung. Wir waren als große Gruppe sehr zufrieden und werden Diya jetzt auch öfter besuchen!

Ausgerechnet zu einem Geburtstagsessen sind wir - erstmals - ins Diya aufgebrochen und haben es bitter bereut. Beim Eintreffen waren wir die einzigen Gäste, was schon ein wenig merkwürdig war. Die Begrüßung durch die anwesende Bedienung war auch nicht gerade freundlich und zudem war es in dem Lokal ziemlich kalt - die Heizung war wohl aus Spargründen runtergedreht. Zwar verständlich, doch das gibt natürlich Punkteabzug beim Wohlfühlfaktor. Wir bestellten die Getränke und kurz darauf auch das Essen. Ich entschied mich für ein veganes Gericht mit Kartoffeln und Spinat, die anderen für die Lammfleischstücke mit verschiedenen Gewürzen. Und was dann auf den Tisch kam, hat alles übertroffen an bisherigen Erfahrungen mit indischer Küche. Die Kartoffeln machten den Eindruck, als wären sie vorgekocht und noch mal aufgewärmt und die angeblich würzige Spinatzubereitung schmeckte nach nichts. Ich probierte auch bei meinen Begleitern das Fleisch, das zäh war und dem es auch deutlich an Würze fehlte. Ich habe schon viele Inder probiert, aber so schlecht war das Essen noch nie. Das Personal war auch nicht sehr bemüht, sondern spielte lieber auf seinem Smartphon rum. Als ich beim Abräumen anmerkte, die Spinatsoße sei überhaupt nicht würzig gewesen, kam keine Reaktion. Wir haben dann darauf verzichtet, noch ein zweites Getränk zu bestellen, sondern haben um die Rechnung gebeten und das Lokal umgehend verlassen. Haben dann lieber im heimischen Wohnzimmer einen Flasche Wein geöffnet und uns über diesen "Ausrutscher" sehr geärgert. Einmal und nicht wieder.

Das Essen war lecker und die Preise fair. Es gibt die üblichen Gerichte für ein indisches Restaurant in Deutschland. Das personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.Leider ist die Atmosphäre etwas lieblos und die Einrichtung etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Auch draußen sitzen kann ich nicht empfehlen, da der Außenbereich direkt an die Habsburgerallee reicht und der Autolärm sich sehr bemerkbar macht. Deshalb bestellen wir meistens, das funktioniert super und ist sehr schnell.

Leckeres Essen, sehr nette Besitzer

Gutes Restaurant, bestellen hier öfters, das Essen schmeckt immer gut, Die Portionen sind aber leider in den letzten Monaten kleiner geworden, vermutlich aufgrund steigender Nebenkosten. Mir wäre es lieber, wenn die Preise angepasst werden, dafür die Portionen wieder etwas grösser werden, wie vorher.

Die Auswahl ist gut, das Essen an sich dann aber eher "ganz ok", aber auch keine wirkliche Erleuchtung. Von den beiden Kellnern war einer sehr freundlich und der andere eher zurückhaltend. Auch von der Atmosphäre eher mittelmäßig.

Diya ist unser Lieblingsrestaurant, was die indische Küche angeht. Gutes Essen, schönes Ambiente und freundlicher Service. Wir sind seit der ersten Stunde dabei und freuen uns nach so vielen Jahren immer wieder, dort zu essen.

Ich kann die schlechte Rezensionen hier nicht nachvollziehen. Wenn ich lese Magen Darm Probleme,dann ist es für mich einfach nur lächerlich,Indische Küche besteht aus vielen Gewürzen das ist die Grundausstattung in der Küche und nicht wie deutsche Küche Salz und Pfeffer. Wer kein indisches essen verträgt soll in ein Biergarten gehen. Ich kann nur sagen Restaurant Diya ist einer der besten Restaurants in Frankfurt Mit abstand das beste Essen!!! Wir hatten vorher immer mal bei Diya bestellt. Heute waren wir mal live vor Ort. Wir hatten den Vorspeisen Teller für 2 und danach jeder noch einen Hauptgang. Das Essen war wie erwartet super lecker. Auch der Service ist absolut zuvorkommend und nett.

Meine ganze Familie geht seit Jahren regelmäßig ins Diya. Manchmal bestellen wir auch nur. Wir sind immer mit allem zufrieden. Es gibt tatsächlich nichts negatives zu sagen.

Die Qualität des Essens und des Service hat sich durch die Pandemie hindurch auf einem hohen Niveau gehalten. Meine Empfehlung: Diya Tandoori Mix Grill für Fleischliebhaber, Aloo Gobi, Malai Kofta, Daal Makhani für Vegetarier, dazu Knoblauch-Naan und Peshawari-Naan (wenn Sie es süß mögen). Fragen Sie unbedingt nach dem Mango-Likör, einer indischen Spezialität aus Deutschland.
