Wir besuchten dieses Restaurant wegen des Buffets. Unserer Erfahrung nach war das Buffet den Preis nicht wert. Die meisten Gerichte bestanden aus Hühnchen in verschiedenen Soßen, die Auswahl war sehr gering. Wir waren vom Buffet enttäuscht und hatten für den bezahlten Preis eine deutlich bessere Qualität und Auswahl erwartet. Daher können wir das Buffet leider nicht empfehlen.

Das Buffet ist umfangreich und bietet eine große Auswahl.

Schönes und sauberes Restaurant. Ich liebe indische Buffets, wenn man alles ausprobieren kann. Alles in allem gab es tolle Auswahl: Hähnchenfleisch am Knochen, Hähnchenbrust (kann gerne mehr sein), Vegetarische Gerichte, Biryanis, Suppe, Salate, Naan, Papadam! Man ist schnell überfordert 😅 Vier kleine Sachen haben mich aber gestört: - Vieles ist mit sehr viel Öl/Ghee zubereitet, leider. - Die Beschriftungen zu den Gerichten sollten deutlicher und ausführlicher sein, ich wusste bei vielem nicht, was es ist. - Teils waren die Behälter durcheinander angeordnet, ich würde mir mehr Sortierung wünschen - Es gab zwei Behälter Chicken Curry, da wäre ein anderes Chicken Gericht besser gewesen Aber alles in allem macht es Spaß! Es ist toll sich durchzuprobieren und sich ganz viel zusammenzustellen und satt zu werden! Sehr satt! Der Service ist unfassbar aufmerksam! Auch wenn die Mitarbeiter wirken wie Türsteher und Aufpasser und teils unfreundlich scheinen (bei der Nachbarschaft irgendwie auch verständlich), sind sie bei Fragen sehr lieb und hilfsbereit und jedes Mal wenn man aufgegessen hat, aufsteht und zum Buffet geht, räumt ein Mitarbeiter den Platz auf, deckt Neu ein und nimmt die benutzten Teller mit. Selten hab ich sowas aufmerksames erlebt! Und 13,90€ (Stand Januar 2026) mittags ohne Getränke für dieses Buffet ist viel mehr als fair! Ich komme gerne wieder!

Was für ein toller Fund hier in der Kaiserstraße. Das Essen hat mich absolut überzeugt und die Auswahl ist wirklich beeindruckend. Besonders angetan war ich von der Vielfalt am Buffet. Die frischen Tomaten und die knackigen grünen Bohnen haben mir besonders gut geschmeckt, da alles sehr appetitlich präsentiert wurde. Es ist selten, dass man eine so gepflegte und einladende Auswahl findet. Ich komme definitiv wieder.

Wir haben Biryani und Dosa bestellt. Beides war sehr lecker. Für Südinder, die südindische Gerichte vermissen, ist dieses Restaurant ein absolutes Muss.

Die Mittagskarte ist wirklich köstlich und bietet eine große Auswahl an indischen Gerichten. Der Sitzbereich und der Service haben mir sehr gut gefallen. Insgesamt ein wunderbares Erlebnis!

Hervorragendes Essen und großartige Gastfreundschaft

Ranveer Singh, es ist großartig. Vielen Dank, dass Sie den Hunger stillen, das Essen ist fantastisch und vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft.

Wir zahlen so viel für Essen zum Mitnehmen. Wir sind hungrig. Es hat 30 Minuten gedauert, bis das Essen kam. Und wenn man im Restaurant sitzt, geht es viel schneller. Das ist nicht fair.

Ich habe bei Ihnen ein Hühnchen-Biryani bestellt. Die Zubereitung dauerte über 30 Minuten, obwohl ich persönlich zum Mitnehmen bestellt hatte. Das Restaurant war überhaupt nicht voll, aber nachdem das Essen endlich fertig war, stand es noch etwa 10 Minuten auf der Theke, bevor ich es bekam. Es gab auch keine Servietten. Insgesamt war der Service enttäuschend. Ich hoffe, dass die Mitarbeiter in Zukunft kundenorientierter sind und ihren Service verbessern.

Wir hatten Hühnchen- und Hammel-Biryani. Wir wurden vom Personal sehr herzlich empfangen, obwohl wir erst um 22 Uhr ankamen. Das Biryani war wirklich lecker, und auch das dazu servierte Eiercurry hat mir gut geschmeckt. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Das Restaurant war etwa ein bis zwei Jahre lang mein Lieblingsrestaurant. Doch die Qualität des Essens und des Services lässt von Tag zu Tag nach. (Ich habe bisher schätzungsweise 20 bis 30 Mal bestellt.) Zwei bis drei Mal hintereinander wurden falsche Lieferungen geliefert. Selbst nach Erklärungen war niemand mehr zu helfen und alle mussten einfach essen, was ihnen gebracht wurde. Der Geschmack ist ungenießbar geworden. Ich weiß nicht, was sich geändert hat, aber viel Glück mit Ihrem Geschäft bei solch einem miserablen Service und Essen. Und dazu noch so teuer! Bitte tauschen Sie Ihr Personal aus.

Manche Mahlzeiten stillen den Hunger, manche berühren das Herz. Unser Familienessen im Anjappar Chettinad South Indian Restaurant in Frankfurt war etwas ganz Besonderes. Schönes Restaurant im Stadtzentrum! Hervorragendes Essen und freundliches Personal!

Zupft lecker! Schönen Ambiente und netter staff.

Ganz guter Inder mitten im Bahnhofsviertel. Großes Buffet zur Selbstbedienung oder a la carte. Eher traditioneller Inder mit großer Karte. Freundliche Bedienung. Am Wochenende spezielles Buffet-Angebot. Preise OK.

Wir hatten zu fünft Abendbuffet. Geschmacklich war das Essen super, nur das Naan war nicht besonders. Negativ aufgefallen ist uns die Auswahl - knapp die Hälfte des Buffets war nur Salat zum selber mischen. Man wird dennoch gut satt. Unsere Empfehlung: ein Gericht bestellen anstatt Buffet. Die Auswahl auf der Karte ist sehr groß und es gibt sicher vieles zu entdecken. Der Service war nicht sehr zuvorkommend, aber freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auf Nachfrage haben wir frisches Naan bekommen. Anfangs mussten wir etwas warten, bis wir nach den Getränken gefragt wurden. Im Buffet wurden Sachen auch nicht aufgefüllt, wenn sie leer waren. Preis-Leitung ist vollig in Ordnung, durchschnittlich faire Preise für gutes indisches Essen in Deutschland. Die Lage ist natürlich optimal im Bahnhofsviertel. Für jeden gut zu erreichen, Parkplätze finden sich eher schwer an den Straßen, aber in der Umgebung findet man meistens was. Für jede Gruppengröße geeignet, von 2-30 Personen.

Gutes indisches Restaurant mit leckerem Essen und großen Portionen zu einem fairen Preis. An Wochenenden gibt es ein All-you-can-eat-Buffet für 25 €, eine attraktive Option, obwohl die Portionen der regulären Speisekarte auch schon sehr sättigend sind. Kartenzahlung ist möglich, was definitiv ein Pluspunkt ist.

Zum Abendessen waren wir hier und hatten Buffet. Irgendwie war das Personal merkwürdig, wir bekamen draußen einen Platz, wir sollten aber mit dem Essen warten, es wären viele Gäste am Buffet, er sagt uns bescheid. Wir bekamen unsere Getränke und nach gut 20 Minuten ging meine Frau zum Buffet, ekine weiteren Gäste dort. Das Buffet ist gut sortiert, Fleisch, vegetarisch, Beilagen, etc. Insgesamt war das Essen okay, nicht überragend, aber gut. Für unseren 11 jährigen Sohn mussten wir den gleichen Betrag bezahlen (25 Euro), wie für Erwachsene. Getränkepreises sind absolut fair.

Ich mochte Anjappar immer sehr, vor allem wegen der südindischen Küche, und habe mir bei jedem Frankfurtbesuch die Zeit genommen, dort zu essen. Diesmal war ich jedoch bitter enttäuscht. Ein Hammelcurry mit zwei winzigen Fleischstücken und einem riesigen Knochen, ein versalzenes und verbranntes Gobi Manchurian und dazu noch ein respektloser Service. Von südindischem Essen war bei diesem Anjappar keine Spur.

Wir waren zu dritt. Zwei von uns haben das Buffet genommen, und einer hat das Fisch-Thaal bestellt. Das Fisch-Thaal war wirklich sehr lecker, aber das Buffet ist absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Ich finde es sein Geld nicht wert, besonders für Nicht-Vegetarier. Es gibt nur Hühnchen, und in den meisten Soßen und im Biryani war kaum etwas anderes Fleisch oder gar Meeresfrüchte zu finden. Auf das Naan, das zwar im Buffetpreis enthalten ist, aber am Tisch serviert wird, musste ich warten, bis ich fast fertig gegessen hatte. Ich habe in anderen indischen Restaurants schon schmackhaftere Buffets gegessen, die zwar weniger Auswahl boten, aber dafür mehr Fleischgerichte enthielten. Wenn ich nochmal hingehe, dann sicher nicht zum Buffet.

Wirklich ein sehr gutes Lokal, das Essen schmeckt hervorragend! Der Service ist erstklassig. Der beste Ort für indisches Essen!

Zum ersten Mal da. Die Dosas sind super. Dazu gab es leckere Chutneys. Die Musik war etwas zu laut. Aber sie wurde auf Nachfrage leiser gestellt.

Das Lokal hieß früher Bombay Lounge und wurde vor etwa drei bis vier Jahren in Anjappar Chettinad umgebaut. Ich war an einem kühlen Sonntagabend dort, um früh zu Abend zu essen, und bestellte Hühnchen-Biryani, Naan und ein Hühnchengericht (ich erinnere mich leider nicht mehr an den Namen). Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Im Gegensatz zu vielen indischen Restaurants, die die Schärfe reduzieren, um einem breiteren Publikum zu gefallen, bewahrt dieses Restaurant die authentischen indischen Aromen.

Ein absolut umwerfendes Restaurant! 🔥🔥🔥 Unglaubliche Buffetauswahl.

Das Essen war gut, aber es fehlte ihm etwas an authentischem Geschmack. Das Buffet wurde den Gerichten auf der Speisekarte vorgezogen.

Es war mein erster Besuch in einem indischen Restaurant in Frankfurt am Mainz, und ich entschied mich für das Buffet für 25 Euro. Zuerst dachte ich, es gäbe hauptsächlich südindische Gerichte, aber zu meiner Überraschung gab es eine große Auswahl an Speisen, von vegetarischen bis hin zu nicht-vegetarischen. Die Speisekarte war umfangreich und die Gerichte waren sehr authentisch. Ich sah Menschen unterschiedlichster Herkunft, die das Essen genossen. Die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Herzliche Gastfreundschaft und exzellenter Service. Ein besonderes Lob an Ranveer, der uns außergewöhnlich gut betreut hat. Ich kann dieses Hotel jedem Frankfurt-Besucher wärmstens empfehlen.

Wir waren zum Mittag- und Abendessen da und haben auch Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Es hat mich südindisch berührt und das Essen schmeckte authentisch nach der lokalen Küche. Ich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen.

Diese Bewertung ist Ausdruck unserer Frustration über den schlechten Service und das ungenießbare Essen, das wir vor zwei Tagen hier erlebt haben. Wir waren dort, um einen Familienanlass zu feiern. Wir wollten Paneer Tikka als Vorspeise bestellen und uns wurde sofort gesagt, dass die Zubereitung etwa 30-40 Minuten dauern würde. Der Kellner überzeugte uns, Paneer Tikka Masala Curry zu bestellen, das idealerweise ebenfalls gegrillten Paneer enthalten sollte, genau wie Paneer Tikka (und die gleiche Zubereitungszeit haben sollte). Natürlich war er überrascht und meinte trotzdem, es würde nicht lange dauern. Gut, wir bestellten es zusammen mit Hühnchen-Curry, Chicken Kottu Parotha und Kal Dosa. Wir warteten schließlich eine ganze Stunde auf unser Essen, ohne dass sich jemand um uns kümmerte. Wir mussten die Kellner immer wieder anstupsen. Das Essen kam schließlich in kleinen Portionen und schmeckte fade. Das Curry war unterdurchschnittlich, mit viel zu vielen Tomaten und Farbstoffen. Wir waren schon öfter hier. Letztendlich kann ich nur sagen: Es ist jedes Mal ein Glücksspiel. Für die Qualität des Essens und den Service kann ich nicht bürgen. Tut mir leid, aber ich werde dort nicht wieder hingehen. Vielen Dank an das Anjappar-Team, ihr habt wirklich zu unserem besonderen Abend beigetragen. Huh!!!

Das Restaurant ist Betrug. Ich habe bezahlt, bestellt und das Essen geliefert bekommen – und dann war es nicht da. Ich habe nur Geld und Zeit verloren.

Gutes Mittagsbuffet für 14 Euro.

Das Essen schmeckt und ist von sehr guter Qualität. Der Service muss jedoch dringend verbessert werden. Das Servicepersonal reagiert nicht angemessen und verhält sich gegenüber Indern respektlos. Vorsicht ist geboten, wenn man Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Mir wurde Basmatireis mit Champignons serviert, obwohl ich Paneer Biryani bestellt hatte.

Super viel vegetarische, sowie carnivore Auswahl; das Personal ist aufmerksam und sehr süß - und das alles für einen guten Preis! (19,9€ Buffet pro Person)

Es ist ein wunderschönes Restaurant mit hervorragendem indischem Essen. Wir haben vom Buffet gegessen und uns auch Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Die Atmosphäre hat uns insgesamt sehr gut gefallen, und auch die Lage in der Nähe des Frankfurter Hauptbahnhofs ist super.

Wir waren spontan in diesem indischen Restaurant, da dort mittags ein All-you-can-eat-Buffet angeboten wurde. Die Auswahl an Speisen war überraschend groß und bot viele exotische Gerichte, sodass man sich gut durch verschiedene indische Spezialitäten probieren konnte. Einige Speisen haben uns wirklich sehr lecker geschmeckt, andere wiederum weniger, was aber eindeutig Geschmackssache ist. Die Mitarbeiter waren ruhig, freundlich und angenehm zurückhaltend. Die Räumlichkeiten waren gemütlich gestaltet und wurden durch passende indische Musik stimmungsvoll ergänzt. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat insgesamt gepasst.

Authentisches nordindisches Essen

Wir waren begeistert von diesem Restaurant. Das Essen und das Ambiente waren großartig. Luvdeep war besonders zuvorkommend und sorgte dafür, dass wir das Essen genossen. Auch das Wochenendbuffet bietet eine gute Auswahl.

Great vegetarian food. Warm, fresh buffet, with a great selection of vegetables, rice and naan, and halva. Great chai, steaming hot. Great indoor dining experience. Clean and friendly, and efficient staff.

This restaurant offers plenty of space and the service is very friendly. We had the buffet today. There was a wide variety of delicious food, and it tasted great. We'd gladly come back.

I felt sick while travelling and was craving the comfort of home! Just then, when I was incessantly coughing while waiting for my food - one of the waiters got me a bit of honey and black pepper. The gesture itself made me go back twice there in my 4 days of stay in Frankfurt :)

Cockroaches Running Around the Food - Extremely Unhygienic Experience I visited this place today for lunch with a friend visiting from Russia because I wanted to introduce him to Indian food. Unfortunately, it turned into a very disappointing and embarrassing experience. First, the service was unwelcoming and slow. The food we ordered was served cold. Within 5 minutes, we noticed cockroaches coming out of the plate and running across the table. My friend immediately decided to leave, saying he didn’t want to stay in such a place. I informed the staff, but there was no proper reaction at all. One person simply removed the cockroach with a tissue and walked away. No apology, no concern, no hygiene check - nothing. When I went to pay, even then they did not acknowledge the issue or care about what happened. Later, I learned that they have previous incidents of cockroaches appearing in takeaway food as well. So clearly, this isn’t new and nothing has been done to fix it. Very disappointing and extremely unhygienic. Well done, Anjappar team.

Very nice staff and very friendly . Food tast is amazing .

My friends and I visited the restaurant last week. 3 of us took the buffet and one orderd the lamb curry. The rice had some hairs in it and after pointing out to the waiter, rather than accepting he told that our chef is bald. He gave her a changed curry but with taunting behaviour. All the other waiters were really friendly and welcoming. We also got constant stairs from the staff as if the fourth person eating from the buffet. Buffet was really good.

Whenever I am in Frankfurt , this is a go-to restaurant . 25 NOV ,22:00 hours was my 7th time and was the most disgusting . First , they never change the menu of the Buffett . Second , I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala . It was not chicken tikka , it was just boiled Chicken boneless piece which was not marinated at all . Probably it was late may be that’s the reason , but they could have said me to go with other menu items .

The food is truly excellent. The buffet is also very extensive, so you'll definitely leave satisfied. Furthermore, the staff is really friendly. Whenever I'm in Frankfurt for work, I love going to this restaurant. I highly recommend it to everyone.

BEWARE:- The food and ambience is okay. But they are a SCAM when it comes to serving drinks!!! They served us 20cl and charged us for 40 cl! When we asked them for menu to verify rate they said they don’t have any. The waiter was such an arrogant lad to argue and say “ its normal for hotel to not have drinks menu”. So before ordering any drinks always ask for menu.

The staff weren't exactly friendly or attentive to the guests. But 13 euros for an all-you-can-eat buffet with amazing taste was fantastic!

They say it's south Indian.. but to us it was not so authentic south Indian restaurant. We ordered chaat, Dosa and mutton nalli. We only like mutton and others were not good. I would recommend to go for buffet. As per the food taste, the price seems in higher side.

My reason for low rating is food quality while rest all was good. I had been at the restaurent for Sunday buffet lunch and the spice level, food colour added to chicken could cause disaster to any human being. I eat lot of spice and could tolerate bitting a raw green chillies, but the spice level was unbearable and had to visit the doctor. Request the mgmt to taste the food before its been served to the public.

Pathetic, came here for buffet they think we are for free food !! Food was hardly any south indian, I am sure that they have north Indian Chef's and the food too with poor taste. Service: needs serious revival, I would rate it as minus. They made sit other customers on my table. Pathetic.. It's second ns last time here. I have high regards for Anjappar branch in Bangalore so tried twice, here, it looks like they have given this franchise to North Indians to ruin it (in btn I am from North India) !!!

Excellent service. The staff are friendly and very attentive. They make you feel welcome and comfortable while you eat. Plus, the food is delicious and there are always vegetarian options! :)

Went here on a Monday for dinner. Tables weren't cleaned, waiters were constantly busy. It took more than 15 minutes to get the menu card and another 15 to be able to order. Order came pretty late and the food wasn't up to standards (sambar just tasted like dal). Ordered coke zero and I have never tasted a more diluted glass of coke before. The waiter who served us was very kind, and the prices were cheaper/reasonable compared to Saravana Bhavan, the only things good in our opinion. Wouldn't visit again/ recommend.

Poor service – after more than 30 minutes and several complaints, someone finally came to take my order, even though there were very few customers in the room. Then I waited another 15 minutes just for the tea. Motorcycle stunts on a continuous loop and overly loud, bass-heavy beats. At one point, crates of drinks were brought in with extreme noise and inconsiderateness – with the door wide open. I also had the uneasy feeling that the male customers present were served much more courteously.

Food is good. Mix of North and South Indian delicacies.

I ordered the Kothu Parotta and Chettinad Rasam, and it was simply extraordinary- reminded me of home. Every bite was full of flavor and balance. The staff were attentive and welcoming. Easily one of the most memorable dishes I’ve had in years — a must-try spot in Frankfurt.

CAUTION - Salmonella Poisoning! The next day after eating here (Chicken kothu parotta, poori aloo, paneer noodles, anjappar fried chicken) - I was admitted at the hospital for a week and they found out that I’ve been infected with Salmonella. Someone called from the hospital administration to take the name & location of this restaurant. Hopefully future incidents will be prevented as it is deadly for older people and below 10 years of age. It took me over a month to fully recover.

This was our second time here, and as always, it was excellent. The food was delicious, and there's something for everyone on the menu. I particularly liked the fact that it clearly indicates which dishes are mild or spicy—it's a great solution. The service was extremely friendly and answered every question. The food arrived very hot and quickly. The dessert is also highly recommended! The only minor drawback was the atmosphere: While the restaurant is beautifully decorated, a bit brighter lighting would have created an even more inviting atmosphere. Overall, though, it was great—the price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable and contemporary. If you want to try Indian food, I highly recommend this restaurant!

I decided to go for an early dinner at this place. They served me proper North Indian-style palak paneer and garlic naan. It was so flavorful and authentic (no downplaying of spices or salt) that I completely finished the palak paneer. I also received a complimentary lassi, which was on another level—absolutely delicious. Thank you for respecting authentic Indian cuisine. This is some of the best food I’ve had traveling in Germany and France—even across the entire US. On top of that, everyone in the staff was super nice and respectful, which made the experience even better. I will definitely visit again whenever I am in Frankfurt next time !

Well maintained and clean Indian Restaurant. Service was good too. Evening Buffet was not justifying its price. Would not recommend. But surprised by cleanliness.

I visited Frankfurt for 5 days. Out of 5 days, I dined there for 2 days and 1 day did a takeaway. We just couldn’t stop ourselves from coming here time and again to eat. We loved their chicken tikka biryani, chicken dum biryani, onion masala dosa and veg fried rice. Staff is amazing and helpful. They serve is hot straight from the kitchen and QUANTITY IS VERY MUCH GENEROUS! I’ll definitely visit them again whenever I’m back in Frankfurt. Thank you Anjappar Chettinad for making our trip memorable.

We went to the buffet at the restaurant today. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. For two adults and an 8-year-old child, we had to pay a total of €80 – that's €25 per person, even though the child was also charged full price. This only included two glasses of mango lassi. We didn't receive a receipt, which I find very unprofessional. I don't know if the restaurant manager is aware of this kind of behavior from his staff. A buffet lunch with two drinks for €80 is unfair and overpriced. Unfortunately, I don't recommend this restaurant.

One of the few Indian restaurants outside India serving authentic Indian food. I've been there a few times and tried different dishes each time- both from their North Indian and South Indian cuisines- and they get it right each time. Be it their chaat (Indian street food), or their dosas, chicken curries, Naans or parathas- the flavours are authentic, the food is not unnecessarily spicy and it is cooked to perfection. Their Chettinad Chicken is cooked beautifully, and it could well have been cooked in a Chettinad home kitchen! The wait staff are friendly, attentive and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to get a taste of authentic Indian food outside India!

Best choice for Jain people!! Best the dosa i have ate so far since seven years in Germany. Very friendly and helpful staff, They do customisation mostly in all dishes and was very tasty too. I have ordered continuous 2 days, completely satisfied

As an Indian, I do not recommend this restaurant. They serve yesterday's leftover roti/kulcha in the buffet. Especially, do not go for the buffet. A delicious all-you-can-eat buffet for €19.90 (an unbeatable price in Frankfurt on weekends) with a wide selection of authentic Indian specialties, naan, mango cream, and salad – I would recommend eating here to everyone! The restaurant was filled with many happy Indian guests who were completely satisfied and also praised the food highly. :)

A completely false representation of Anjappar Chettinad, which originates primarily from the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, with occasional influences from the Telugu and Kannada nations. This completely lousy/fraudulent restaurant is run by Pakistani and Punjabi scammers who have no clue whatsoever about the Anjappar Chettinad style and have no cultural interaction with it. Furthermore, they use a disgustingly bad curry base mixed with baking powder in all their curries (which immediately kills your appetite, making you eat less from their buffet). They all taste like bad soapy water, with no difference in flavor between the different dishes. Important point – I sensed from the start that the spices used in the curries were cheap (which is often the case in these so-called fake Indian restaurants in Germany, designed to rip off innocent people). Most important point: This is neither authentic Hindu cuisine, nor classical Indian cuisine, nor the culture of the Tamil Hindus and their subgroup (Anjappar Chettinad), but they are trying to sell you their rubbish.
