The food is truly excellent. The buffet is also very extensive, so you'll definitely leave satisfied. Furthermore, the staff is really friendly. Whenever I'm in Frankfurt for work, I love going to this restaurant. I highly recommend it to everyone.

BEWARE:- The food and ambience is okay. But they are a SCAM when it comes to serving drinks!!! They served us 20cl and charged us for 40 cl! When we asked them for menu to verify rate they said they don’t have any. The waiter was such an arrogant lad to argue and say “ its normal for hotel to not have drinks menu”. So before ordering any drinks always ask for menu.

The staff weren't exactly friendly or attentive to the guests. But 13 euros for an all-you-can-eat buffet with amazing taste was fantastic!

They say it's south Indian.. but to us it was not so authentic south Indian restaurant. We ordered chaat, Dosa and mutton nalli. We only like mutton and others were not good. I would recommend to go for buffet. As per the food taste, the price seems in higher side.

My reason for low rating is food quality while rest all was good. I had been at the restaurent for Sunday buffet lunch and the spice level, food colour added to chicken could cause disaster to any human being. I eat lot of spice and could tolerate bitting a raw green chillies, but the spice level was unbearable and had to visit the doctor. Request the mgmt to taste the food before its been served to the public.

Pathetic, came here for buffet they think we are for free food !! Food was hardly any south indian, I am sure that they have north Indian Chef's and the food too with poor taste. Service: needs serious revival, I would rate it as minus. They made sit other customers on my table. Pathetic.. It's second ns last time here. I have high regards for Anjappar branch in Bangalore so tried twice, here, it looks like they have given this franchise to North Indians to ruin it (in btn I am from North India) !!!

Went here on a Monday for dinner. Tables weren't cleaned, waiters were constantly busy. It took more than 15 minutes to get the menu card and another 15 to be able to order. Order came pretty late and the food wasn't up to standards (sambar just tasted like dal). Ordered coke zero and I have never tasted a more diluted glass of coke before. The waiter who served us was very kind, and the prices were cheaper/reasonable compared to Saravana Bhavan, the only things good in our opinion. Wouldn't visit again/ recommend.

Poor service – after more than 30 minutes and several complaints, someone finally came to take my order, even though there were very few customers in the room. Then I waited another 15 minutes just for the tea. Motorcycle stunts on a continuous loop and overly loud, bass-heavy beats. At one point, crates of drinks were brought in with extreme noise and inconsiderateness – with the door wide open. I also had the uneasy feeling that the male customers present were served much more courteously.

I ordered the Kothu Parotta and Chettinad Rasam, and it was simply extraordinary- reminded me of home. Every bite was full of flavor and balance. The staff were attentive and welcoming. Easily one of the most memorable dishes I’ve had in years — a must-try spot in Frankfurt.

CAUTION - Salmonella Poisoning! The next day after eating here (Chicken kothu parotta, poori aloo, paneer noodles, anjappar fried chicken) - I was admitted at the hospital for a week and they found out that I’ve been infected with Salmonella. Someone called from the hospital administration to take the name & location of this restaurant. Hopefully future incidents will be prevented as it is deadly for older people and below 10 years of age. It took me over a month to fully recover.

This was our second time here, and as always, it was excellent. The food was delicious, and there's something for everyone on the menu. I particularly liked the fact that it clearly indicates which dishes are mild or spicy—it's a great solution. The service was extremely friendly and answered every question. The food arrived very hot and quickly. The dessert is also highly recommended! The only minor drawback was the atmosphere: While the restaurant is beautifully decorated, a bit brighter lighting would have created an even more inviting atmosphere. Overall, though, it was great—the price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable and contemporary. If you want to try Indian food, I highly recommend this restaurant!

I decided to go for an early dinner at this place. They served me proper North Indian-style palak paneer and garlic naan. It was so flavorful and authentic (no downplaying of spices or salt) that I completely finished the palak paneer. I also received a complimentary lassi, which was on another level—absolutely delicious. Thank you for respecting authentic Indian cuisine. This is some of the best food I’ve had traveling in Germany and France—even across the entire US. On top of that, everyone in the staff was super nice and respectful, which made the experience even better. I will definitely visit again whenever I am in Frankfurt next time !

I visited Frankfurt for 5 days. Out of 5 days, I dined there for 2 days and 1 day did a takeaway. We just couldn’t stop ourselves from coming here time and again to eat. We loved their chicken tikka biryani, chicken dum biryani, onion masala dosa and veg fried rice. Staff is amazing and helpful. They serve is hot straight from the kitchen and QUANTITY IS VERY MUCH GENEROUS! I’ll definitely visit them again whenever I’m back in Frankfurt. Thank you Anjappar Chettinad for making our trip memorable.

We went to the buffet at the restaurant today. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. For two adults and an 8-year-old child, we had to pay a total of €80 – that's €25 per person, even though the child was also charged full price. This only included two glasses of mango lassi. We didn't receive a receipt, which I find very unprofessional. I don't know if the restaurant manager is aware of this kind of behavior from his staff. A buffet lunch with two drinks for €80 is unfair and overpriced. Unfortunately, I don't recommend this restaurant.

One of the few Indian restaurants outside India serving authentic Indian food. I've been there a few times and tried different dishes each time- both from their North Indian and South Indian cuisines- and they get it right each time. Be it their chaat (Indian street food), or their dosas, chicken curries, Naans or parathas- the flavours are authentic, the food is not unnecessarily spicy and it is cooked to perfection. Their Chettinad Chicken is cooked beautifully, and it could well have been cooked in a Chettinad home kitchen! The wait staff are friendly, attentive and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to get a taste of authentic Indian food outside India!

A delicious all-you-can-eat buffet for €19.90 (an unbeatable price in Frankfurt on weekends) with a wide selection of authentic Indian specialties, naan, mango cream, and salad – I would recommend eating here to everyone! A completely false representation of Anjappar Chettinad, which originates primarily from the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, with occasional influences from the Telugu and Kannada nations. This completely lousy/fraudulent restaurant is run by Pakistani and Punjabi scammers who have no clue whatsoever about the Anjappar Chettinad style and have no cultural interaction with it. Furthermore, they use a disgustingly bad curry base mixed with baking powder in all their curries (which immediately kills your appetite, making you eat less from their buffet). They all taste like bad soapy water, with no difference in flavor between the different dishes. Important point – I sensed from the start that the spices used in the curries were cheap (which is often the case in these so-called fake Indian restaurants in Germany, designed to rip off innocent people). Most important point: This is neither authentic Hindu cuisine, nor classical Indian cuisine, nor the culture of the Tamil Hindus and their subgroup (Anjappar Chettinad), but they are trying to sell you their rubbish. I'm from Berlin, but I've had the opportunity to eat at Anjappar several times. I was there yesterday, too, and I can only say it was a 10/10. I booked the buffet, everything was perfectly prepared and tasted amazing! I'm very satisfied. The service staff are very friendly, fast, and attentive. I'd be happy to come back! Guys, you have to try the buffet.

The food was good, but the service left a lot to be desired. No Wi-Fi for guests – simply incomprehensible these days, especially when you don't even have cell reception in the restaurant! I had to leave after just five minutes because my online meeting wouldn't have been possible otherwise. When I asked the staff, they only gave conflicting answers – no one knew exactly what was going on or wanted to help. For anyone who relies on a stable connection: Stay away from this restaurant! My absolute favorite restaurant 🥰 The service is simply excellent, and you feel truly welcome. The ambiance is top-notch, very pleasant, and inviting. The food was also fantastic and arrived surprisingly quickly. I would especially like to thank our waiter, Lovedeep Singh: He served us with great respect, attention, and warmth. All the other staff members were also very friendly and accommodating. I have absolutely no complaints; in fact, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. 🤩

Would have given 0 reviews if possible. Staff is very very disgustingly rude. One guys tells us to sit for buffet, when we went inside to start, other guy without manners and etiquettes literally told us that restaurant is closed. This happened at 22:40 PM and restaurant closes at 11:30 PM. There were people eating inside. I have seriously this feeling that Indians settled here in Germany do not respect Indians who have just come here especially students. They have this attitude that Why you are here. There was time for the restaurant to close but still these guys are like just get the hell out of here. Not expected from an Indian to other Indian. Won’t suggest this restaurant anybody.

For those craving the Tamil non vegetarian cuisine as we are used to back home, then Anjappar Chettinad Frankfurt does justice. I have only one gripe, this being a Chettinad restaurant I wonder why they keep playing only Hindi music all the time and are reluctant to play Tamil music. This spoils the ambience and nativity of a Chettinad restaurant.

Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Germany. Perfect! Excellent professional restaurant staff, extremely friendly and kind, pay attention to every little thing to their guests! The restaurant is modernly decorated and has high quality standards! Great atmosphere and atmosphere of the restaurant! Very neat and clean, definitely to the highest standards! Great atmosphere of Indian music in the background. The food is excellent with a large selection of buffet, everything is fresh and excellent for the taste satisfaction of every visitor, it will certainly satisfy many tastes of excellent Indian food lovers! I have no complaints, praise for everything from the food, the ambiance, the staff and the general impression that the restaurant left on me and my group of tourists that I brought! The taste is not authentic South Indian. The vada, sambhar etc nothing is authentic. This is a restaurant run by North Indians. It is good for North Indian dishes. If you are looking for authentic South Indian restaurant, please do not go to this restaurant. At least I was disappointed being there.

You can't complain about a buffet for 20 euros. Many people say the service wasn't attentive. I much prefer it that way. They let you feast in peace without constantly asking for drinks.

I am dissapointed with the service. We ordered specific food and said beer. Wiater did not ask which beer. He just bought the big and expensive one. I agree we could have specified. But since there are multiple size and brand he should have waited or clarified before deciding what we need. Basics of undertsnding customer need.

We ordered a chicken dosa and tried the buffet. For drinks we ordered: mango lassi, nimbu pani and cola. Everything was really good and tasty. I'd just recommend them to use less oil next time while cooking; it was too much. I know indian dishes have a lot of oil, but it'd be good if they try to use less next time. Too much oil gives an impression that the food is oily and unhealthy. Also, I'd recommend them to introduce mix dosa, filled with any meat and potato and cheese. I've tried this dose and this dose tastes fantastic. Overall still good. Our server was extremely friendly and kind that's why I am giving it full 5 stars. Service is extremely important and if it's done well it is an big positive sign to me.

When I arrived at the restaurant, I was immediately disappointed by the atmosphere. Sad Hindi songs were playing, which seemed completely out of place in a restaurant that claims to specialize in Chettinad cuisine. As a Tamil who has traveled a long distance to enjoy an authentic Tamil dining experience, I found the music selection very disappointing. Tamil songs, or at least instrumental music, would have been more in keeping with the cultural mood. The food, however, was truly delicious, and the staff was respectful and accommodating. The authenticity of the Chettinad flavors was outstanding, just as I've come to expect from Anjappar restaurants in various regions of Tamil Nadu. With a more appropriate atmosphere, this restaurant could offer a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We were also offered a complimentary rasmalai at the end.

The waiters are racist and rude, also the manager is extremely unprofessional. We wanted to have breakfast. It was way too noisy as they were cleaning the outside area. Hence we asked for a table in the inner section. To which he outright said “No” very rudely. On asking the reason, said it is reserved. However there was no one as we did not see anyone coming for next 90 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous and very unprofessional. Bad service.

Had a lot of expectations from this place because of the hype. Firstly the service took some time, no one bothered to take order for a long time. The food was served soon so bonus point for that. Just a warning like most of places that serves rice along with the dish here one has to order separately( not a negative point just letting you know) I ordered a Chettinad chicken roast, the good point was unlike other restaurants here chicken with bones was served which is really nice as chicken with bones tends to have more flavour. The flavour of the Roast didn’t reach the authentic levels, just felt that was missing something.

The owner and the staff welcomed us warmly during a city tour. You have to like some of the dishes on offer, but what we ate was very good and well seasoned.

Our experience at Anjappar Restaurant in Frankfurt was extremely disappointing. We ordered the chicken meals, poori, chilli chicken, and chicken lollipop and not a single item was worth it. The chilli chicken had an overpowering vinegar taste that made it almost inedible. The poori looked stale and poorly prepared. The chicken meals came with soft, leftover pappadam, which was very off-putting. Overall, the food lacked freshness, taste, and quality. We will not be coming back, and we definitely won’t recommend this place to any of our friends. A very poor experience.

The service is very poor they act very cold to the customers and also talking about their buffet meals , they are so bland and all the dishes taste the same . The have no salt or flavour. The food was okay, but the service desperately needs improvement. Basic courtesy and a friendly attitude were completely lacking. Even a simple smile or a polite tone when taking your order makes a big difference—especially when customers are paying for service and not asking for anything free. I was particularly struck by the behavior of some employees. I witnessed a waiter mocking a physically challenged customer through facial expressions and gestures. Whether intentional or not, this was absolutely disrespectful and completely inappropriate. Fortunately, the customer didn't notice, otherwise it would have been very hurtful. Even worse was the body language in general—when customers asked for something, the employees' behavior seemed dismissive and unfriendly. This kind of behavior leaves a very bad impression. The customers I observed were respectful and polite to the staff. It is all the more disappointing when this respect is not reciprocated. I strongly recommend that management train the staff in customer service and how to treat people with respect.

The staff who is working in this restaurant is so rude! Im an indian! And the way they treat their own country people is so disgusting. The food tastes fine! No complaints about the food! But the people they are just not good! You need to improve the customer service so that people think of coming next time to your restaurant ! Im never visiting them ever! Just came out of the restaurant. Very bad service…Tried this place after reading some positive reviews, but it didn’t live up to the hype. Especially if you go with kids, they don’t feel welcoming.Probably won’t return unless they improve.

Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The selection was meager, and the food wasn't worth €20. The shop smelled of stinking fish, and to top it all off, a mouse walked around in front of us.

Firstly, regarding the food, most items in the buffet were spoilt. It was even having bad smell. Secondly, regarding the service, it was really really really bad. The owner gave the worst service. Would only appreciate the service of two servers there. Don’t know their names - one was a guy from Kerala I guess and another who spoke English and Hindi. I don’t have other Information about them unfortunately. Everyone else in the restaurant including the owner were very rude not just to us but to other customers as well. There was one guy who we noticed particularly in the nearby table who asked the owner if anyone can speak in a South Indian language as he had a few questions about the dishes that he wanted to order. The owner just yelled at him with so much of attitude that he can only talk in English, German or Hindi. I understand that not all people can speak many languages but that is definitely not the right way to tell. The most basic way is to tell - Sorry Sir, I don’t speak that language and I will see if anyone else here can speak and I will get back to you. This would have been a good response. How tough would that be ? Unfortunately I couldn’t speak that language so I couldn’t jump in and help either. Lastly about the atmosphere, the place was not clean and had a weird unpleasant smell. Just giving 2 stars here to indicate that even that seemed better than the food and service. Would have never expected this from a huge chain of restaurants- Anjappar !
