Once upon a time THE burger shop in Cologne, today unfortunately more of a shadow of times gone by. The seating situation and waiting time were always terrible, but the wait was always worth it. Today I would no longer accept both so easily, as there are comparable offers with better infrastructure.

What the heck, scam loading. For 20 euros I can do it a thousand times better without Aldi rolls and steak. Onions were burnt and mushrooms were out of a can.

It's my neighbour's favourite, and I thought I gave it a try. It didn't disappoint. The burger is very juicy and properly grilled to medium. The quality of the vegetables is amazing, very fresh and crunchy. The sauce is tasty and and the bun is just perfect. One of the limited hamburger place with proper Belgian beer like Duvel and La Chouffe. Very generous portion. Bacon jam is just scrumptious. Highly recommend if you are in Südstadt.

Really tasty and nice service. You can tell that the food is popular just by the fact that all the tables were full. And rightly so! I had a vegan burger and it tasted really good. Despite a lot of work, the waitress at the checkout always had a smile ready. What more could you want😊

It used to be great – unfortunately it’s a flop today The Fette Kuh was my absolute favorite burger shop in Cologne for years. That's why I was really happy to finally be able to eat there again with the family this evening. Unfortunately, this joy was quickly dampened. The burgers - otherwise juicy, tasty and perfectly grilled - were burnt throughout today. It tasted like old or even burnt fat had been used. Even the fries couldn't save us: far too oily and the taste was far removed from what I used to eat. I know that everyone can have a bad day - but unfortunately this was a big disappointment, especially when you come with good memories. I really hope it was just a blip, because what once defined the Fat Cow was no longer felt tonight.

I'm just reviewing the food here: - Burger bun is absolutely bland, tasteless. The burger itself, however, in the mix with the patty/extras/sauces is quite okay. Nothing special. Just a solid burger. - Fries were soggy, completely without salt and unfortunately cold - Coleslaw is swimming in marinade and is too sour - I ordered 2 extra sauces: both absolutely bland in taste and absolutely not worth it. I would order the burger again but no more side dishes or sauces. Portions are large but unfortunately the taste is just totally boring.

A run-of-the-mill burger that's definitely not bad, but when I think of burgers it wouldn't even make it into my top 10. Price is very fair. If you want to eat a good AND cheap burger, this is definitely the right place for you. If you're willing to spend a little more, you can also find tastier burgers. Fries are also pretty standard. What I found very positive are the 2 sauces of your choice, which you can choose with the fries. Service is nice and you get your food quickly. All in all good, but not a must.

Burgers are really tasty. I often think this is the best burger in Cologne. Meat is juicy vegetables fresh sauce delicious.

The burger had a very intense sauce flavor, which meant that other flavors were a bit drowned out. The fries were a bit chewy in consistency and didn't seem seasoned. However, everything else was excellent – ​​thank you for the friendly service and the pleasant atmosphere!

We were passing through today and then stopped at the “Fetten Kuh” and ate there. What struck us positively was that the employees asked whether we wanted our burger well done or medium rare. Unfortunately the burger that was supposed to be done wasn't really done. But it still tasted delicious and the fries were excellent 🤩 There is seating inside and outside. Parking is just a little difficult. But nevertheless, I recommend it with a clear conscience! ☺️

Way too expensive for what you get. I paid €20 for a burger and fries without a drink and that was worth a maximum of €11-12. Standardbueger as it tasted in 2011 doesn't come close to smashburger or something similar and just found it far too boring with dry bread.

Cool burgers, fries are not convincing, guests are

The burgers are great, the side dishes are delicious, and the service is friendly. Definitely one of the best burger shops in Cologne! You can certainly get cheaper burgers elsewhere, but hardly of this quality. And the weekly special burgers are sometimes the most unusual burgers I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Unfortunately, sometimes it's chaotic, especially when it's not clear who should pick up the freshly prepared goods at the counter because it gets lost in the noise. And the counter is blocked by other people waiting who don't make room. The service here should at least ensure a little bit of order, that would at least be nicer for the customers.

Very tasty burgers and the fries with cheese were also a dream. Service was also very good. There isn't a lot of seating inside, but if you move together a bit, everyone can find a place. There is also seating outside for warmer days 🙃

The best burger I've eaten and I've eaten many. The slightly higher price is justified. Eating such a juicy and flavorful burger was a pleasure. The garlic fries are also highly recommended.

The Fette Kuh 🐮 has been my absolute favorite burger shop for years. In my opinion, the best quality in the surrounding area and great and creative new burgers every week with the burger of the week. The staff is always nice and accommodating - even when it's busier - the service clears up very quickly and, above all, almost everything is homemade. For the quality offered, the price is absolutely justified and a very good price/performance. 10/10 :-)

The burgers are okay but not great either. There are much better burger shops in Cologne. Unfortunately the garlic fries were really disappointing. Maybe a little trip to Belgium would be in order to show you how to make fries. I don't think the price-performance ratio is quite right here either. I think €25 for a burger, fries and a drink from a snack-like shop is a bit much.

Ordered the cheeseburger with cheddar, fries with chili chipotle mayo. The size of the burger was good (200g pattie). The meat could've been better seasoned, it lacked a bit of salt, but in combination with the mayo, every bite was scrumptious. The bun could've been thinner and lighter. The fries were quite crispy and yummy as well. The textures of all the ingredients were pretty much perfect and freshness of the ingredients was also beyond dispute. Overall a good experience.

The burger is really good. There is no guarantee of a place on site and you may have to wait. It's still worth a visit and I would go again. There isn't a lot of choice and that's also the advantage. You choose quickly and quickly have something on the table. It's definitely worth it.

One of the best burgers in the city, definitely the best in Veedel. The Fette Kuh now has such a cult status in Cologne that its sauces can also be purchased in selected retailers. There is hardly any need to say more. The patties are great and the buns are nothing industrial. And since the burgers are so good, it's often difficult to even get a seat in the restaurant.

I recently visited Fette Kuh, a burger grill place where you order at the counter, pick up your drink, utensils, and then grab your food when it's ready. After the meal, the staff collects the trays. The concept is simple and self-service, but I found the prices a bit high for this type of setup. That said, the burger was delicious—definitely a highlight. However, the fries were a bit of a letdown; we got small, almost leftover pieces. While the taste was fine, they didn't look too appealing.

As always, there was a lot going on. So there was no room inside and we sat outside. With the temperatures in October there are more relaxed options for eating, but the delicious burgers were worth it for us!

I'm currently eating a very good cheesy with good fries here. Burger sizzled medium well by the friendly grill master. A bit noisy in the dining room for my taste, and the toilets could also be improved, but friendly service just makes up for it.

Good burgers. Very high quality meat/ingredients combined with a solid operation. These guys know what they are doing! Many custom choices add to the special character of this burger joint. If you’re in town looking for a very compelling burger, look no further :D

The burger was really good! I went for the vegetarian option and compared to other places where the veggie patty is often disappointing, this one really blew me away. The patty was nice and thick and the burger overall was a decent size. A real surprise in terms of taste – the combination with the veggie patty was great! Be sure to try the vegetarian alternative. The fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly. The staff was also super nice and friendly. Absolutely recommended!

This lunchtime we visited the Fette Kuh - a welcoming, clean burger joint with extremely friendly staff. The BBQ burger with meat cooked to a perfect medium rare is an absolute delight, and the fries with skin on are simply delicious. The drinks menu offers a wide selection. All in all, this burger shop is one of the best in Germany - and it is not without reason that it has been successfully represented in Cologne since 2011. Keep it up!

Unfortunately the taste has deteriorated greatly. Sweet potato fries were also out. For 2 normal burgers, a fries and 2 cokes almost 50€ is very steep. I probably won't come back again

Even in a city like Cologne that is blessed with good burger shops, Die Fette Kuh is a highlight. The quality of the meat in particular is unparalleled. Unfortunately, the vegan option is the complete opposite: homemade, but still far below what the competition serves and on the border of edible. Dry and uninspired. Really a shame if you're traveling with vegans/vegetarians. All they have left are the very good fries. But since this is about the main product of 'conventional' burgers, I don't want to deduct any points, because the classic burgers from the Fat Cow are beyond any doubt: simply outstanding. Insider tip: Try the Fette IPA, a very tasty beer. Edit: Three years later and I actually have nothing to add. Still by far the best burger in Cologne Unfortunately the vegetarian burger is still really terrible. The option is actually so bad that my companion didn't eat it. I then tried it and fully understood the decision. This is a shame because there are now really good vegetarian meat alternatives on the market.

If you want burgers in Cologne, then only here! Super juicy, large burgers with the best meat quality. For low carb fans you can also get them all naked - without a bun, on a salad. Garlic fries are a dream - hot, crispy, fresh and delicious. The huge selection of dips is unbeatable (be sure to try the chili chipotle mayo & the habanero sauce - phew) Despite the huge number of customers, orders and stress, the staff is always friendly! :)

In my opinion the best burger shop in Cologne. I've never been disappointed there. Juicy and always super tasty. Always drive across Cologne for a burger from Fette Kuh. So I can only recommend it. You have to have tested it.

The only positive thing about the experience were the fries, which were also grossly overpriced. I had a cheeseburger, fries, and drink for €22.50. The burger was mediocre at best. Super cool burger joint! The meat is on point (ours was medium) and is of great quality! The fries are super tasty and crispy, and there are great dips too! Thank you very much! My kids thought it was great too!

I've been a regular customer for 3 years and actually love this burger place. I was even more disappointed with my order through Wolt and with how errors were handled. I ordered bacon jam fries and a burger cheeseburger with a double patty. When the order arrived I discovered that my fries came without bacon jam (which accounts for a large part of the price) and my burger without the sauce that was always there. In addition, one of the patties was almost done, even though it was ordered medium rare. I tried to reach someone, unfortunately no one answered. So I ate the burger and fries like that. After a later call I was told they would take care of a (partial) refund or send new food. Instead, 25 minutes later (1 1/2 hours after ordering) I simply received the sauce and bacon jam in a bag. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with without fries and burgers, there wasn't a refund or anything like that either. I completely understand that mistakes happen on a stressful evening and I was really friendly on the phone. It's just a shame that errors are handled like this with an order value of €30+, especially because I actually love the store :/ Nevertheless, LG to the team
