My visit to derfreiBurger was simply fantastic. From the first bite, I could tell that they work with passion – the burger was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and the fries were crispy and fresh. The atmosphere was relaxed and urban, making you feel instantly comfortable – whether alone or with friends. I especially appreciated the vegetarian options, which were just as thoughtfully designed as the classic meat combinations. The prices are more than fair for what you get, and the staff was friendly and efficient. If you're in Freiburg and craving a really good burger, this is the place to go.

A small restaurant where you can eat exceptionally delicious burgers. The prices are very fair. When it's busy, it can be difficult to find a seat. It's probably better in the summer when you can eat outside. Takeaway is also available.

Small shop in Freiburg's city center. A good selection of different burgers, both meaty and vegetarian. Plus two different hot dogs... The food is freshly prepared and doesn't take long to arrive. The burgers are delicious, but the buns weren't our favorite—they lacked a bit of flavor, in my opinion... Otherwise, everyone was very nice, and the price/performance ratio was okay... so it was worth it 😊

Very, very tasty! The fries were really crispy and well salted. The burgers (cheeseburger and chili cheeseburger) were excellent. Really juicy, plenty of meat, and very well-filled. Highly recommended! The iced tea was delicious and not too sweet. The quality was okay, but it wasn't THE iced tea ever. A good alternative to the usual soft drinks.

The burgers were delicious, the place was cool (albeit very small). We were annoyed by the automatic tipping tool at the credit card terminal. With self-service, I was supposed to pay myself the tip!

A hamburger with a delicious, meaty patty 🍔 The fries were also nicely fried If the road in front of the restaurant hadn't been under construction, I think I could have enjoyed my meal more leisurely.

Very tasty burger. After all the smash burgers, I finally had a really good, juicy beef burger. The bun was nice and soft with plenty of sesame seeds, the patty was still pink in the middle and very juicy. It was nice and crispy on the outside. From the first bite, I tasted the full umami flavor. The cheese was nicely melted and the bacon was crispy and salty. The fries were nice and hot and crispy with as much mayo and ketchup as you like. The perfect burger 👌

Nothing special, but a good burger. Visually, it's below McDonald's standard. The fries were the worst I've ever eaten; they were simply tasteless. At €18 with a drink, it's too expensive.

I was there today and ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a drink for €16.20. The burger was delicious, and it's great that they serve sauces on the tables. However, the place is relatively small and there's limited seating.

I've been here twice in three days. The people are very nice, and the burgers taste good. The portions are perfectly fine. I think the prices are good too. A bit limited inside. The outdoor seating is very nice. You can take the food to go. I'd be happy to come back.

Friends. The introduction of the new card payment system that FORCES me to give a tip (I DO NOT tip in a fast food) will make me eat my burgers elsewhere in the future. Too bad. (There is a 'No-Tip' function that the stupid guest overlooked??? So, so. However, the owner's answer has already disappeared into the vastness of the room.....)

I've been eating at "derFreiBurger" regularly for years and can highly recommend it. The food is very fresh and high quality. I find it particularly exciting that there are new citizen creations on a regular basis. The relaunch after 10 years of business was successful. Keep it up :-)

Do you fancy burgers? Then please go here! Freiburger has been convincing for years with its incredible price-performance ratio. Local, not a chain, family run, friendly, delicious! I'm an avid meat eater, and since I tried the halloumi burger I've only eaten this ever since! Old and young are equally addressed here. Personal recommendation from me, you have to try it!

I know that many people love this shop in Freiburg, I for one can only recommend the fries, unfortunately the veggie burgers don't taste good at all and the ones with meat are also rather unimaginative. Addendum: After we wanted to give the store another chance, it was clear to us, never again! We ordered without bacon and got the burger with bacon after 20 minutes. After that they just wanted to take the bacon down. This was only done when they explicitly requested a new burger and took another 15 minutes. No excuse, really sad...

DerfreiBurger would be a solid choice for anyone visiting Freiburg and want to eat a good tasty burger. The burgers at this shop are excellent, with a lot of choices and the service is warm and welcoming. Also the homemade ice tea is really good!! My only complaint would be that i found the french fries a little undercooked and the atmosphere of the place a little lacking.

Update 12/20 Citizen was good and tasty as I expected, unfortunately our fries were not all well fried and some were still half raw when we ate them. It's a shame that there are always problems with the fries. It used to be better. Unfortunately, fries are just cheap, thin things like MD/BK. Otherwise everything was great. It's a shame that people start saving on things like this. Unfortunately the table was still full of old dishes

I was pleasantly surprised by the homemade iced tea; it tastes similar to the one from Tradewinds – really good. The burger was almost perfect, only the bun could use some tweaking to really make it stand out. Unfortunately, the veggies were in the deep fryer for a little too long, which meant they lost their bite. Overall, a solid 3.5 star burger that you can definitely treat yourself to.

I had been told by friends that you can eat delicious burgers here. So we set up here around lunchtime. The restaurant appears simple and rather cool and offers around 25 seats. We had to wait a bit until a table became available. Our order was taken very friendly. After a short wait we received very tasty burgers and fries. The price for this was also absolutely fair and reasonable. We will come back the next time we visit Freiburg and would be happy to recommend it.

Best burgers in town. Come here regularly. The guys behind the counter are great. There's a great atmosphere in the team, you can tell. When it's full they're still friendly and accommodating. I've been a regular customer for years. Highly recommended After the renovation you can eat very well on site. In summer, feet in the Bächle and a Fritz hiss.

Nice place, a bit small, so we first had to sit outside (in the rain), but after 5 minutes people left and we were able to sit inside with a large group at 1 table. The burgers are freshly made and very tasty and not expensively priced. I think the most expensive is 11 euros. Good for lunch on its own and for dinner you can have an extra of fries for a little bit extra. Highly recommended

Delicious food, friendly staff, you can look straight into the kitchen and there are a few tables outside too. Since it is a very small shop, the tables are very close together and sometimes you have to sit at a table with other people. Good for “connecting”, but you can’t really rest or sit for yourself. All in all, a recommendation and there is a large selection, especially for vegetarians and vegans

Pseudo-burger shop. Burgers don't have the right quality in my opinion. Also, it is halal (Muslim). - The waitress and the chef are unfriendly. Typical for Muslims as you can also find them at various kebabs.

I loved it. The substantial bun meant it wasn’t messy at all like some burgers I’ve had but the beef and cheese were still very flavourful. It was a neat burger. I think blue cheese and onion would be a good combo for the menu but I’m just a tourist so that’s just me. I tried the hot sauce and was surprised to find it was homemade and extremely good - it had a curry flavour to it and packed a punch! The chilli fries were good not insane, but I liked them a lot. The chilli tasted homemade and high quality, pretty tomatoey compared to the chilli you might have had on chilli cheese fries before.

Really bad. Bun is toasted and dry and overwhelms the tiny burger patty. Said patty isn't a bit juicy, and you can see the cook placing frozen patties on the flat-top. Fries have no character. Good music, but this place wouldn't survive a week in North America.

Service doesn’t exist. Tables are not endued with ketchup (Bad Quality) or dishes. Long waiting times - not worth for the money …

This small and hip burger shop in the middle of Freiburg really makes the best burgers and at a very good price too. 😊👌 Everything really fit and was very tasteful.
