Der Suhrhof in Hamburg

Freundliches Personal servierte uns gewohnt Speisen und Getränke in guter Qualität. Aus meiner Sicht ist beim Beilagensalat noch Luft nach oben, speziell bei Essig-Öl , Würze und Größe.

A bit expensive even for Hamburg and the fries weren't that great. But the rest is true.

We were visiting Hamburg and really wanted to try the hot pot. Since the Ricebrothers had good reviews, we went to the restaurant on the Schanze. The good thing first - the service itself was very nice. The food, however, was not good. the broth of the hot pot is not very spicy. It would certainly have been spicier if we had used the instant noodle soup that came with it, but for the price of €28 per person you can expect a naturally good tasting soup. The ingredients were plentiful, but as I said, it doesn't taste good without a flavorful broth. There were 4 small bowls of ready-made sauce, which unfortunately didn't contribute to a better taste experience. Of course, there was a lot of raw chicken and vegetables left over. We asked if it could be fried briefly for us so that we could take it with us to the hotel room, as there were about 1 1/2 portions that were too good to throw away (we would have bought a good sauce somewhere). We would have liked to pay an additional 1-2 euros for frying - but the chef wanted to charge us 5 euros. What a disgrace! It should also be mentioned that a number of cocktail tomatoes were served on the raw chicken meat. Questionable from a hygienic point of view, because if you sit together and relax while eating, a tomato that is suitable for raw consumption could easily end up in the guest's mouth. And the types of bacteria that can be found on raw chicken are well known... I can't recommend this restaurant either in terms of taste or value for money. And the atmosphere looks much better in the pictures than it actually is!!

Nicht nur, weil das Restaurant in idealer Nachbarschaft zum First Stage Theater liegt ist es empfehlenswert, sondern auch wegen seiner guten Speisen, die frisch zubereitet werden. Insbesondere das wirklich gute scharfe Lamm-Curry ist super lecker (Zubereitungszeit von 30-40 Min.) und können wir empfehlen. Die Bedienung ist sehr herzlich, aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Einrichtung ist einfach. Wir waren bereits das zweite Mal dort und werden dort wieder gerne Essen gehen. Danke :)
