Der Prinsenhof in Porta Westfalica

We were there for dinner after a funeral. The hall was beautifully decorated for the occasion. The coffee tables were lavishly laid with all kinds of cakes and sandwiches. The staff repeatedly asked if we still had everything we needed or if we needed anything else. The rest was packed up and given to us in Tupperware containers.

An overnight stop halfway between England and Poland. The owner was very kind and helpful. Communication in English was easy. The hotel is atmospheric, located near the A2 motorway, yet completely quiet. You can rest well in a very comfortable bed. A major plus is the restaurant, which serves delicious German cuisine. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal and a relaxing break. Best regards to the owners and we wish them continued success!

I was traveling by bike and found everything I needed. The room was clean, the breakfast was adequate, and the staff was very friendly.

I wouldn't really call the whole place a hotel. It's a guesthouse with a few rooms, run by an elderly, super-sweet, friendly couple. Since they obviously run everything themselves, I don't mind that there are a few cobwebs here and there and that all the furniture is a bit dated. Otherwise, everything was clean, and the breakfast (not a buffet) was more than plentiful and lovingly prepared. I normally eat healthier, but on vacation, a wheat roll is fine. The couple who own it were very friendly and helpful. Since they're both zipping around everywhere, it can take a minute to 'catch' them. It's a shame that the guesthouse is right on the main street of the town, and lots of cars roar past the building. My room was unfortunately in a rather inconvenient location, so I woke up every morning from 6 a.m. onwards to the slamming of the guesthouse door and the sound of traffic. Apparently, empathy and compassion on the part of fellow guests are no longer in fashion. If I notice the door slamming, I hold it until it closes slowly and quietly. Even when walking through the hallway, the other guests were quite loud. Can't you be a little more considerate of others? After a few days of this, I left a day early. The owners were so kind and only charged me for the shortened period, even though I wanted to leave early of my own accord and was willing to pay the full amount. The owners said I could have changed rooms. Next time, I'd be happy to have a room farther away from the stairwell. Overall, I felt very comfortable in the room, and the breakfast was excellent.

There are plenty of parking spaces in the hotel's courtyard. The hall is very large. It can easily accommodate parties of over 100 people. I think it's ideal for birthdays and company parties. I played the music for an EDEKA Christmas party here, and it was fantastic. The buffet is plentiful and delicious. The waiters are dressed in traditional costumes. Very nice! And the owner is very friendly. I'd love to come back here again.

Quiet country hotel with excellent value for money. Comfortable seating in front of the house. GARAGE for our motorcycles!!! Breakfast served lovingly and by the table. No fighting at the buffet. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Very nice hosts, good service, but very old facility

Our 2nd visit there, more are planned. The operators are incredibly nice, as are the locals. The food is really tasty, the rooms are clean and you have everything you need.

Everything was clean in the room and nicely furnished and the bed was very comfortable. Quiet location and family friendly. The food was very tasty whether dinner or breakfast. The staff and the other guests were very nice, you felt at home.

We, 2 friends, stayed here for 1 night, had a single room and a double room. The rooms were clean, there was a renovated bathroom, the facilities were very sufficient with a TV, desk, hairdryer, soap dispenser at the sink and in the shower. Breakfast and dinner a la card were very rich and tasty. Service and value for money cannot be beaten.

Only had lunch. Schnitzel with fried potatoes. Very, very tasty 👍

Großer Saal mit toller Theke. Man kann dort locker mit 150 Personen feiern aber auch mit kleinen Gruppen alles möglich.

Ich habe dort nicht gegessen, gehe aber fest davon aus, dass es hier gut schmeckt und man einen gemütlichen, tollen Abend verbringen kann. Ich habe im Prinsenhof übernachtet. Zimmer sauber; zweckmäßig und hell eingerichtet. Check in zügig und freundlich. Frühstück ab 6 Uhr. Das ganze nah an der A2. Alles TOP.

Sehr gute wahl, sehr freundlich und sehr gute Preis- Leistung. Es hat meine Erwartung in allem übertroffen. Eine kurze Übernachtung für die durchreise war meine Bedürfnisse. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr nett, ruhig und lecker. Die fleissige Geschäftsführerin war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Das Hotel ist urig eingerichtet. Das Zimmer war sauber und freundlich eingerichtet.

Sehr schlichte Unterkunft, sauber, aber 80er-Jahre-Stil, sehr gutes Frühstück, freundliches Personal, kann man nehmen, wenn man in der Gegend ist, nur 10 Minuten von der Bali-Therme weg.

Das nenne ich ein ehrliches und authentisches Gasthaus. Lecker Pils, lecker Essen, alles bezahlbar. Frühstück war mega, es fehlte an nichts. Die Chefin und der Chef erfüllen alle machbaren Wünsche. Man "bestand" sogar darauf, dass ich mein Motorrad in die Garage stelle. Alles in allem hätte ich es nicht besser treffen können

Mein Schwiegersohn hat die Familie zu seinem 50. Geburtstag zum Essen im Prinsenhof eingeladen. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft, die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und nett.

Ein freundliches Hotel! Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und das Frühstück ist sehr lecker. Man konnte aber durch die Wände hören. Die Zimmer waren ordentlich und sauber.

Gut bürgerliche Küche (super Schnitzel😀) super unkompliziert und herzliche Inhaber zu wirklich fairem Preis. 2 km abseits vom Weserradweg. Wir fahren gut erholt (anständiges Zimmer mit eigenem Bad und Dusche und nettes Frühstück) weiter gen Norden. Fahrräder durften im Gebäude nächtigen 👍👍 Sehr zu empfehlen für Normalos wie uns...

Haben eine Nacht dort übernachtet muss sagen alles okay. Freundliche Leitung . Frühstück war auch sehr lecker. Resümee Preisleistungsverhältnis absolut in Ordnung. Würde immer wieder dort buchen.

Tijdens onze vakantie hebben we 3x in Der Prinsenhof gegeten. Het eten smaakte voortreffelijk en de bediening was erg aardig.

Die Bedienungen waren alle sehr nett! Das essen war okay Die Einrichtung für meinen Geschmack zu altbacken! Mein Neffe ist Vegetarier und hat leider kaum etwas zu essen gefunden, da der Spargel nicht nachgefüllt wurde.. bekam er davon nichts ab... Schade!

Ein wunderschönes Familiengeführtes Hotel! Das Essen war Superlecker und das Frühstück war ebenfalls total genial! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!
