Absolutely delicious! I had the bowl with halloumi and avocado and loved it. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, doing a great job. The place itself is in a great location and nicely decorated; even the music was very pleasant. 10/10, would definitely come again.

Dean & David in the Alstertal Shopping Center is a coffee shop primarily frequented by young people between the ages of 16 and 25. It's striking that many of these customers are typical target audiences for Fridays for Future demonstrations. We found it all the more surprising that most of them order their drinks in to-go cups, drink them on the spot, and then simply leave the cups behind. We ordered our coffees in porcelain cups—to the obvious surprise of the waitress. A cappuccino cost €4.85, and a flat white €4.30. A total of €9.15 for two coffees, which we found quite expensive for what was offered. Unfortunately, the coffee was poorly prepared. The staff seemed inexperienced in using the portafilter machine, and the taste was disappointing. This was our second and definitely last visit. Addendum to the standard, meaningless answer. NO I don't need help YOU Need help from a well-trained barista. Because strictly speaking, the milk in my cappuccino wasn't even frothed, just heated. I should have asked for my money back.

I eat at d&d often and actually enjoy it. Unfortunately, the service is very person-dependent. Unfortunately, the dressing has been missing several times, or the lid was so loose that it completely spilled into the bag. It's annoying, because I don't like dry salad. I was really disappointed with my order yesterday. I had pre-ordered a salad with bread that afternoon. When I picked it up, I noticed that the bread was missing. When I asked, they simply said, "It's all gone." Great, it's actually part of the salad. Upon closer inspection, I see that there's no egg on my salad either. When I pointed this out, I once again just got a "run out." I didn't even get a warning or an apology that several ingredients were missing. If you can't fill the salads completely shortly after 7 p.m., maybe you shouldn't sell them either, especially since I had pre-ordered via app in the early afternoon. So, it wasn't surprising that my order arrived shortly before closing time. When I pointed out that I thought it was unfair to receive an incomplete order at full price, I again received an unfriendly response: "We're out of eggs, what can I do? Do you want to check?" When I asked if they could put something else on the salad instead, I was grumpily wrapped up a muffin and handed it to me. Good thing I don't eat sugar. But then I didn't feel like pointing it out again, given the obvious lack of interest. It's a shame, I actually really enjoy eating there, and there are (I shouldn't leave unmentioned) some really hard-working people in the service there. The man yesterday, however, definitely wasn't one of them.

The nice gentleman is simply the best, he was so friendly and served us quickly.

I was disappointed. I was served by a young lady who seemed listless and unfriendly. I hope she was just having a bad day. The chicken wasn't crunchy at all, and overall, I've had much better food for that kind of money.

A good place to have a snack or just sit, drink a cup of coffee and relax. The establishment is very atmospheric and comfortable. I ate chicken bowl with my friend. It doesn't taste bad. It’s a pity that the establishment didn’t have tea other than mint. In general, I want to say that the varied menu is worth going and trying.

Very good location. Service totally friendly! The selection of bowls, salads and curries is manageable but still just right. There are seasonal offers. The display of sandwiches and rice pudding etc. (also vegan) looked very good. The toilet wasn't that appealing. The entrance was also only clearly visible when the door was open. Because it was open so that it could be visible to customers, the interior became a bit cold. Otherwise the overall package was good and worth recommending!

Simply top!!! I was ready in a few Dean&David stores but the store in Poppenbüttel tops everything. The food was ready super quickly, the staff was super friendly and pleasant and what is also very important, everything was there as ordered and nothing was forgotten. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the other stores (Stadthöfe and Jungfernstieg). I'm happy to keep it up, I like coming here to eat.

Nette kleine Bistro, mit Plätzen für drinnen und draußen. Es gibt hier belegte Brötchen und Brote, sowie auch kleine Kuchen, wie Muffins und Himbeerbrownies. Ich hatte einen Cappuccino und einen Schoko Muffin und wir saßen draußen. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Direkt in Poppenbüttel am Zob und der U-und S Bahn gelegen.

Great service, I was there by car and my bowl (awkwardly) spilled completely onto the passenger seat. In addition to a whole truckload of napkins, I also promptly received a new bowl. Honorary service, it couldn't be better! ❤️

Ich kann dean@david in Poppenbüttel sehr empfehlen. Die Auswahl ist vielfältig und breit gefächert. Die Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen waren schnell und sehr freundlich. Nach 5 Minuten hatte ich mein Essen. Es war super lecker. Der Laden war sauber und ordentlich. Das Ambiente ist einladend. Ich komme bestimmt wieder.

Ich habe 20min auf meine Bowl gewartet was schlichtweg eine Katastrophe ist für D+D. Kann passieren, aber keine Info vorab, keine Entschuldigung, Brot wurde ebenfalls vergessen und der Reis war total zerkocht - das ist einfach schlechte für 15€ ohne Getränk

Ich hatte es eilig, daher Salat zum mitnehmen bestellt. Hat unglaublich lange gedauert. Der Salat war lecker. Preis / Leistungsverhältnis passt für mich nicht. War keine knapp 13 EUR wert.

Wir waren heute spontan im Dean&David zum Abendessen ! Es gibt hier eine Vielzahl an vegetarischen und Veganen Speisen ! Wir habenuns heute für die Fafafel und den Caesar Chicken Salad entschieden… natürlich mit planted chicken . Mega lecker und man wurde mehr als satt ! Wir werden definitiv zeitnah wieder kommen und uns durch die Karte probieren :) Vielen Dank auch für den netten und aufmerksamen Service .

Lange Wartezeit, schlechte Bedienung (wenig erfahren und unfreundlich, die Hälfte vergessen), teures Essen - nicht sehr appetitlich (meine Falafel Bällchen waren noch gefroren). Es lohnt sich nicht.. Ich werde dort nicht wieder bestellen.

So ein toller Laden ! Endlich im Alstertal👍 Tolles Essen, Hammer Cappuccino und ein sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Weiter so, wir freuen uns sehr 🫶

Da wir heute über 20 Minuten auf unseren Bus warten mussten, hatten wir uns überlegt einen Salat bei Dean&David zu holen. Wir bestellten für to Go und der Laden war kaum bis gar nicht gefüllt. Nach über 15 Minuten war unser Salat noch nicht fertig. Auf Rückfrage wurde unser Salat dann innerhalb von 2 Minuten fertiggestellt (vorher wurde noch nicht begonnen). Zuhause stellten wir aber fest, das das Dressing sowie das Brot fehlte. Ich muss leider sagen, dass dieser Service nicht meinen Erwartungen bei Dean&David entspricht.

Schöner Laden und super Bedienung. Preis-Leistung ist auch absolut in Ordnung. Der Carrot Cake war wirklich der Hammer.

Ich gehe schon viele Jahre zu Dean & David und endlich gibt es auch einen Laden in meiner Nähe mit toller Location inkl. großer Terasse. Das Essen war wie immer super lecker und in gewohnter Qualität. Immer wieder gerne!

Bin ein großer d&d Fan und freue mich riesig, dass ihr endlich auch im Alstertal einen Laden aufgemacht habt! Super nettes und liebes Team (auch wenn es noch hier und da etwas holprig wirkte😅). Bei mir wurde leider etwas vergessen, aber das kann ja mal passieren und der Service im Anschluss war super gut. Es ist ein echt schöner Laden geworden und das Essen schmeckt wie immer hervorragend!

Ganz toller neuer Store mit leckerem Essen. Das Team ist total freundlich und wirklich sehr bemüht, dass man als Gästin zufrieden ist. Essen überzeugt mit frische und gesunden Zutaten! Kann es allen, die auf der Suche nach gesundem Essen in schöner Umgebung sind, sehr empfehlen.

Endlich auch im Alstertal. Wir waren bereits mehrmals im neuen Dean&David Poppenbüttel und kommen auch in Zukunft regelmäßig wieder. Schönes Ambiente, gesundes Essen in der gewohnten Qualität, nettes Personal und schnelle Abwicklung.

Endlich auch in Poppenbüttel! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht! Zwar dauert es unter Umständen mal etwas länger, besonders zu den Stoßzeiten! Jedoch finden wir, dass sich das Warten immer lohnt! Das Essen ist super lecker mit frischen Zutaten und gesund! Wir sind absolute Fans und würden am liebsten jeden Tag dort essen! Macht weiter so!!
