Nice restaurant with rounded bar in the center of the place and tabels around it, decorated in Bavarian style. Good food and atmosphere.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, and excellent service! We felt so comfortable there that we went back again the very next evening. Small menu 🤩 The burger with pulled suckling pig was especially delicious 😋 The Aperol Spritz is also highly recommended 😋 I can't understand the review about it being "unfriendly to children/families"—when we were there, children were making a real racket, and none of the staff reacted negatively or even said anything. We will definitely be back next time we're in Munich!

Ox cheeks were very well cooked, but some the roasted veg was very tough and inedible. Mashed potatoes were nice. Service was slow. There were only 2 servers, and it seemed like some training was going on which caused a few tables including mine, waiting for the bill for 10+ minutes. If you were in a rush, you might be in trouble. Also docking a point for the washrooms which were not easily accessible and were not clean

Very nice restaurant. We went expecting a beer hall but this had very much the feel of a smart restaurant with the typical Munich decor and menu. Vegan currywirst and plenty of vegetarian options. Lovely service and vibe and food was excellent quality and value. Make sure you visit the memorial to the Octoberfest bombing which is over the road and very poignant.

1 thing on my bucket list less. Definitely must see, visit, live & drink beer. We had a really great time. The service was really fast.

I'm a Japanese tourist. I was impressed by how kind the English-speaking staff were. I was able to taste authentic beer and sausages, which were delicious.

I was here for lunch and received very friendly and prompt service. The price-performance ratio is okay. The menu offers typical Bavarian dishes. The quality is solid, if not exceptional. Overall, a very nice place with a good atmosphere for a casual meal.

The service was lacking today. After taking our drink order the waiter briskly explained they weren’t serving half the menu for another 30 minutes and promptly scooted off to get our drinks but we weren’t sure if we wanted to stay. I understand the industry is stressful to work in but they weren’t exactly busy. Very unfriendly.

Yes, too bad, I wasn't served and then left after 30 minutes. But let's start from the beginning: On a Monday evening at 7:30 p.m., I sat down in one of the beach chairs, deliberately a little further away from the guests with food because I was smoking. The outdoor area was maybe half full. I repeatedly sought eye contact, but also tried not to disturb the people who were clearing the tables. After 20 minutes, I went to the counter with a cheerful "Hi" and asked if I could order a beer. The waiter told me to sit outside and wait, someone would come. Yep, the group of 8 people who took the table directly in front of the beach chair was served within 50 seconds. After another 10 minutes of waiting, it was 8 p.m., I gave up. Yes, even women traveling alone can place an order. Things have gone better before, when a young lady was working in the service department 👍. With the two men in the service department... Well, next time then, right?! 💪

We were in the beer garden of the "Das Bad" restaurant in Munich last night and were absolutely thrilled! We received a warm welcome as soon as we entered – the manager and chef were incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The service was fast and professional, and we were treated with friendliness at all times. The food arrived promptly, was beautifully presented, and tasted excellent – ​​you can immediately tell that great attention to detail and fresh ingredients are put into the food here. The atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed and inviting. We would love to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend "Das Bad." A true highlight in Munich!

The beer culture is good, and the staff is super friendly. But the barman still needs to learn a bit 🤣 What was the owner thinking with the decor? Not at all in the Augustiner style. Light wood—I'd expect something like this in Schleswig-Holstein rather than Bavaria, especially right before the Oktoberfest. It's a shame; perhaps they could have designed it with more atmosphere, or I just don't have the artistic flair to understand it. Anyway. I always enjoy a few foamy drinks here!

The food is delicious, the location is beautiful. But the service is almost outrageous. Especially when it comes to children. We definitely won't be coming back.

I think the staff didn’t like we spoke English - the schnitzel tasted like it was rancid, the cheese sausage was okay - when we asked for a second drink the waiter told us “wait wait” then never returned to our table - after waiting for 30 minutes we just decided to pay the bill and leave, we went inside they said to wait outside, we waited 20 more minutes, went up to the waiter and asked to pay, we were told to wait again… 20 more minutes went by. I saw three other families ask for their bill and pay their bill right in front of us. Finally my husband had to tell the waiter we were leaving and then he came running after us with the machine. Such bad service and food… I can understand they are busy and we certainly don’t mind waiting but not when we’re refused a second drink and several other people are asking and paying their bill 40 minutes after we asked

It's a shame to have wasted my time here.

Great food, wonderful restaurant, but the service! He wanted a non-alcoholic shandy, but it wasn't possible because he couldn't book it! When asked if they had beer and soda, he said yes. But then came the accusatory reply: then you could mix and match anything from the menu. Yeah, why not? That was last Sunday at lunchtime. It's a shame. The service ruins a lot of things! My guests from Bielefeld were disappointed at such a lovely restaurant.

I've eaten at the "Bad" with friends several times. Everything was good. Today I want to make a reservation for 6-8 people. They said they have to write an email and leave their credit card number. What's that all about? Your cashiers aren't even that good. I can't come back, and a few others won't either.

We had dinner here and had a great time! The food was excellent and plentiful, with a decent selection of beers. The location was lovely, and the staff were super friendly and helpful (we were served by a really talented young lady!). The place is located in a quiet area, right at the entrance to the Oktoberfest. The prices were very reasonable considering the quantity and quality.

The food is very, very good, but the service is lacking... We've never experienced such poor service in Munich (first time for anything) that we had to constantly get up to speak to the waiters, as they rarely came. We were there on a Sunday, it was quiet, and they were different everywhere. When you called the waiters over, they looked at you almost accusingly >:(

Unassuming from the outside, wow on the inside! Surprisingly chic and cozy, the bar is, of course, the eye-catcher. Service is very friendly. The selection of drinks is extensive. They offer lactose-free and oat milk. I would recommend making a reservation.

The interior looks Scandinavian with the white paint and the lights. Our waitress was top notch and also told us the history of the building the restaurant is located in. Food was delicious and the beer I had was tasty. Next time I'm in München, I will go here again.

Another classic in Munich! Not far from the Theresienwiese subway station—located directly across from the main entrance to the meadows, under shady trees. I've rarely experienced such friendly and relaxed waiters, and of course, the "Augustiner beer" food is excellent (the pork roll is highly recommended)!

What was once a small house, as they say in Austrian, now houses a chic, modern inn. The garden is a wonderful place to relax under shady trees. The Augustiner beer from the wooden barrel is delicious and goes down your throat so quickly that you'll immediately order another one 😉🍺. The food is Bavarian inn-style cuisine, prepared in a modern, contemporary style. The location is perfect for Wiesn fans: opposite the main entrance to Oktoberfest. Reasonable and fair prices.

The restaurant has a beautiful interior – stylish, cozy, and with great attention to detail. The food was excellent, delicious, and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, it took quite a while to be served. The service was somewhat mixed: Our waiter, an older gentleman with glasses, took a long time to even get to our table and seemed rather annoyed throughout the entire visit. What was particularly unpleasant was that he loudly and repeatedly cursed other guests – I found that quite inappropriate. Pros: The Augustiner beer was ice-cold and a real treat. Despite these minor flaws, it's definitely worth a visit – we'd be happy to come back!

A rather special restaurant... somewhat inconspicuous from the outside, hidden behind the trees and the beer garden with parasols. We sat outside the entire time and enjoyed the evening with good food (rolled roast suckling pig) and beer. Later in the evening, we decided to quickly check out what the restaurant looked like. We were overwhelmed by the "inside." Very nice seating, a fine, wrap-around bar with a conical hood, and wonderful lighting... We briefly discussed the interior design with the waiter. Augustiner hasn't skimped on anything. Compliments to Ms. Demeter.

“Das Bad” is bad. The cheese trio dish was not good. The sausages and sauerkraut were good, but wildly overpriced for the portion size. Overall too expensive for what they offer

Wir waren direkt zweimal hier zum Essen, denn erstens ist der Geräuschpegel nicht so hoch wie in den klassischen Bierhallen und die Atmosphäre hat uns überzeugt. Nicht nur toll vom Ambiente her, sondern auch sehr freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service. Die Bewertungen anderer Besucher können wir nicht teilen. Es gab klassische Gerichte, frisch und neu interpretiert mit dem gewissen Etwas. Wir würden hier sofort wieder einkehren, wenn wir in München sind.

First time at the former "Scheißheiserl" (Scheißeiserl). A truly wonderful atmosphere in the polygonal room; bright, with wooden tables and chairs. Friendly, attentive staff, good food, and reasonable prices for Munich. We were there in a small group of six. The restrooms were also clean and in very good condition. A place we'll definitely be returning to!

We had visitors and it was suitable and not crowded, but it was only 4:30 p.m.

It was a rather cool evening with equally cool treatment from the service staff. Waited nearly half an hour to settle my tab. Walked inside to ask for the bill but was told to sit at my table because the waitress who was apparently serving my table was busy having dinner. I just called out to the same waitress less than 10 minutes earlier but was ignored. "Spectacular!" The one star given for service is for the one staff who bothered to give a super short description of the menu I pointed at. Lol.

This is a great place to get food. We arrived on a Sunday evening without booking and sat at a table inside. Service was initially good but after our main course we were kept waiting and we had to ask for a dessert menu. The food itself was very good. Good German cuisine done well with some nice touches. Price was reasonable. Atmosphere was ok but the shape of the building means it's not particularly cosy. All in all I'd recommend a visit.

We had a wonderful evening at Das Bad. The service was excellent—both prompt and efficient. I particularly enjoyed my beer, a pint of refreshing Augustiner Hell, a light and easy-drinking option. The food was also quite good. Given the location, the outdoor seating area can be somewhat noisy due to nearby traffic, but that’s to be expected.

I definitely can't recommend it! I had visitors and wanted to invite them to a Bavarian restaurant in Munich. But unfortunately this place was not a good choice. We weren't served even though there were free tables. When I asked the waitress in a friendly manner, she just rolled her eyes. After a while we left just like other guests. Not a special place, there are many nicer and more hospitable restaurants in Munich.

A special location with a view of the Theresienwiese - a successful mix of tradition and modernity with an incredible amount of charm. The service was extremely friendly and competent. Despite the full house at the Spring Wiesn, the team exuded a professional calm that immediately gave us a good feeling. We decided on the “Obazda”, which was not only a visual highlight, but also completely convincing in terms of taste – a real pleasure! The “currywurst” was an insider tip and the sauce was a real taste explosion. From the first warm “Hello” to the equally friendly “Pfiati”, we felt completely at home. Whether for a cozy Augustiner or a delicious meal: “Das Bad” is absolutely recommended.

Food is general pub stuff. Beef was good. Service was difficult, we kept having to wave down waiting staff for any orders, otherwise we were ignored completely. We were there with some German friends and even they got annoyed with the service.

French friends if you pass by the “Theresien Wiese”, this restaurant is absolutely excellent! The waiter was charming, the dishes delicious and the restaurant is magnificent. Danke für den tollen Abend! Es war richtig lecker!

We wanted lunch and were there at 1 p.m. We were then told that everything was already empty. Not recommended. We had already ordered drinks and had to accept them. It's a shame we were actually looking forward to the restaurant.

Very cool location right at the Oktoberfest. The selection of food is not huge, but it is very good. We've been going once a month for a while now.

Ursprünglich als öffentliche Bedürfnisanstalt errichtet, dann als Dusch- & Wannenbad („Tröpferlbad“) genutzt, später dann zum Aufenthaltsraum für die Trambahnfahrer der Stadt München umgewidmet und später gar als Klohäusel und zur Gepäckaufbewahrung während der Wiesn zweckentfremdet, wurde in 2017/2018 von der Stiftung, der die Augustinerbrauerei mehrheitlich gehört, kräftig umgebaut und entstanden ist ein uriges Lokal, was insbesondere bei Geburtstags- oder Firmenfeiern seinen Charmen offenbart, weil man ohne feste Sitzordnung mit einer frisch gezapften Augustiner-Halben vom Eichenfass quasi im Kreis herum um die Theke „gemütlich ratschend“ seine Runden ziehen kann. Mal was ganz anderes und damit echt urig - zum empfehlen sind insbesondere die „Windbeutel“ zum Dessert!

Original location in a former public institution. Interesting location on Theresienwiese. Bavarian cuisine, not exactly super cheap. The staff is very nice and takes care of the guests. Cordon Bleu filled with O'batztem is a somewhat unusual combination... but of course there are also normal, less extravagant dishes. ;-)
