Munich cosiness in the Glockenbachviertel. On Fridays, delicious Augustiner fresh from the wooden barrel. Prices are more than reasonable for Munich and the ham noodles are honestly delicious. Clear recommendation.

Always friendly service and some of the best Spätzle you can find. And of course, the wooden barrel Augustiner Bier on Fridays is perfect!

Solid choice for Bavarian food with daily specials, and the usual Werdenhaus food in the heart of the Glockenbachviertel. The outdoor seating fills up almost! Sadly no pork knuckle today so I had the roast pork with sauerkraut, potato dumplings, bread dumplings and dark beer sauce. All great!

Great service and great food at fair prices. One of the best inns in Munich.

The outdoor seating is located on a street with little traffic, at least on the weekend. Cream mushrooms with dumplings 12.80, unfortunately only 1 dumpling. But very good. Price for small mixed salad here 3.80, in the restaurant 4.80. Too much for this portion. Very limited vegetarian options, very meat-heavy. All in all, €20 is a bit too much. But you can go.

Das Rumpler hat seit 2024 neue Inhaber. Die alten kannten wir nicht, die neuen machen es richtig: gute Portionen, leckeres Essen, eine 1A Allergiekennzeichnung und sehr freundliches Personal. Der Abend war toll, und wem die Portionen zu groß sind: Reste werden gerne eingepackt.

My wife, our daughter and I went to the Augustiner Restaurant Rumpler with my wife's sister's family. We had dinner there together. (July 31, 2024) The warm summer evening weather meant we were able to sit comfortably outside. The atmosphere was very pleasant and despite the street being next to it, you could chat in peace. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating throughout the evening. The food we ordered, whether it was the Wiener Schnitzel, the meatloaf, or the creamed veal goulash from the daily menu, tasted very good and was of great quality. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely fair. The Augustiner Restaurant Rumpler in Munich is a place for a cozy get-together, with delicious food and drink and in a quiet atmosphere. We would be happy to come back for dinner on our next visit to Munich. Thank you for this beautiful experience!

Great beer garden highly recommended.

We were there for dinner. The dumpling grestl tasted very good, a little more gravy wouldn't have been bad - but tastes vary. Beer freshly tapped from Augustiner, everything wonderful. Prices are still reasonably reasonable for Munich standards, which is why it's very crowded. But everyone got a place.

Good food at fair prices. The meat was nice and tender and tasted well with the side dishes. The service was friendly but also stressful due to the high number of guests. I can recommend the restaurant to anyone who likes Bavarian food.

Authentic and cozy atmosphere. Food and service are always top. Price-performance ratio that you sometimes desperately look for in Munich. We're happy to come regularly and let's have a good time! :)

Yesterday we were back at the Rumpler inn with our regulars and what can you say, great Augustiner restaurant, reservations went well by phone, all the food we tasted was great, the service was courteous and friendly. Beer is good anyway, everything goes well. Would love to come back.

This is one of my favourite Wirtshäuser in Munich. Friendly service and nice food. Most importantly the beer is great! There are some very tasty affordable options, for example the Fleischpfanzerl with potato salad. The goats cheese salad is also very good. They are also good enough to allow us to use their back room to play Irish trad music there once per month. The outdoor seating are is also great on a summer evening.

Good home cooking, food very good, service also very good. Price/performance for Munich is really more than okay.

Great place to try traditional German food. We tried the Bavarian snack plate with meatball, Regensburger, „Obazda“, cheese, horseradish, cold roast pork, coleslaw, pickles and bread. It was good.

It's not the local pub for nothing. Confirmed 2024. Last round when the number of visitors is low (e.g. Sunday evening) is around half past 11.

Best cheese spaetzle with salad.

Ate delicious cheese spaetzle here. However, we only had 15 minutes to eat because we then had to clear the table for the next guest. It just took a long time for the food to arrive... So unfortunately we couldn't really enjoy the food.

I have never been disappointed by this quaint economy. The Kaiserschmarrn is probably one of the best in Munich. The portions are sufficient. A Bavarian economy as you imagine it. Service is top. Food top.

EXPECT the UNEXPECT - best location, best brewery in town BUT cold food, dirty classes and very stressed and unfriendly waiters. On top of that, the rest-room wasn’t the cleanest. My recommendation would be, go the Jahnstrasse straight in the next Augustiner restaurant FAUN 🍻 🤘🏻

Rumpler rocks. Best roast pork in at least the quarter. Fast, funny service. Chefs who really know their craft. Fair prices. If only it weren't for the almond butter thing... We have been enjoying coming here for eight years. In 2016, a regular guest obliged us to taste the roast pork. The roast pork and we are now very best friends. Because the roast pork is gigantic! Otherwise: At best you'll have to wait a few minutes for your food. Vegetarians also get their money's worth here. The audience is unpretentious and the decor is cozy. Oh yes: a Trout Müllerin style has almond butter. She says. You know... In other words: we'll see each other again soon. It's nice that the Rumpler exists!

The “Rumpler” has long been my personal favorite pub in downtown Munich. Far away from the overcrowded tourist breweries and away from overcrowded inns, they serve Augustiner from wooden barrels and traditional Bavarian dishes. In my opinion, the best Munich schnitzel is here! There is a familiar, cozy and informal atmosphere, the audience mixes nicely and heterogeneously. Discreetly placed murals, light wooden tables and dark chairs create a cozy atmosphere; the long, rustic bar dominates the long side of the room. In summer you can also sit outside. The service and team are extremely friendly and attentive, even on the phone - it is advisable to make a reservation.

War zum ersten Mal dort essen. Leider kamen die Bratkartoffeln kalt, was aber der Service gleich behoben hat. Das Hendl und von meiner Freundin das Schweinefilet war sehr gut. Eine total aufmerksame Bedienung, das muss gesagt werden. Gleich einen Nebenraum aufgemacht, um keinen Kunden zu verlieren. Echt nett und Danke!

We went there with friends for dinner. We had a table reservation for 7.30pm. Firstly, our table was given away. The person who is responsible for coordinating the tables sent us to the table with the words, "we gave the table to 2 people they know you are coming just go there. " The time was 7.25pm when we arrived at the table. I know this because the guys at the table were getting into a discussion with us complaining that we are too early and saying that they are not moving. We were standing there and no one of the staff even cared. Eventually, we could sit down. 2. It was the last day before closing, so the menu was limited. Which is ok and understandable. What was not understandable is that we ordered 3 Münchner schnitzel and 1 hackbraten with NO announcement that they ran out of potatoes. When the waiter came to bring the food, he said we only have the meat, and you can have a salad with it without any other option. He said he would make it up with schnapps- which none of us would drink. As a makeup, we then got a kaisetschmarrn - 1 porting for 4 people. We were thatched full price for yhe food. In essence, it was extremely unpleasant that the food was very careless and prepared. I did have a salad which was lacking dressing, the meat was ok but as mentioned it was only half of the announced meal and the kaiserschmarrn was dry, and had like 4 raisins. Apart from that it was just loud in this place. Good f you go with 2 people but not either a group. I would not go there anymore!!!

Gemütliches Restaurant mitten im Hipsterviertel, welches noch Preise für fast Jedermann für Speis und Trank verlangt. Der Qualität der Speisen tut das keinen Abbruch, auch die Portionen sind selbst für einen guten Esser groß. Definitiv eine Empfehlung, hierhin zu gehen.

Eine Klassische bayerische Wirtschaft mit einer lockeren Atmosphäre. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe die vorbestellt hatte im Lokal. Es waren gute Portionen mein Essen hatte war gut zubereitet und hatte mir geschmeckt. An dem Tag gab es sogar Fassbier. Die Bedienung war auf Zack und hat uns immer wieder umsichtig gut versorgt! Also für ein Gruppentreffen genau das richtige Ambiente um gemütlich eine Weihnachtsfeier durchzuführen. Sofern ich in der Nähe bin werde ich mich gerne daran erinnern und wiederkommen. Ein bayrisches Lokal, super Atmosphäre, auch für Gruppen geeignet. Das Team stemmt das locker und bleibt völlig cool und sehr nett. Das Essen ist typisch bayrisch und gehaltvoll. Akustisch zum Unterhalten muss man sich etwas anstrengen ist klar wenn der Laden voll ist und brummt. Parken, eher nicht also lieber öffentlich und mit dem Taxi wieder nach haus. Das Team holz auch gerne eine Taxi. Also alles super. Empfehlung meinerseits. Vielen Dank für die tolle Bewirtung und grüße an ihr Team.

Sehr gutes Wirtshaus. Wie man sich ein Münchner Wirtshaus vorstellt. Verkonsumiert: sehr zarte Leber. sehr gutes Kartoffelpüree. Frisch zubereitet. Keine "Spachtelmasse".

Gelegentlich gehe ich in der Woche hin, da das Essen schnell kommt. Leider keine sehr abwechslungsreiche Karte, "weniger wäre mehr" auf der umfangreichen Speisekarte. Nettes Personal. Preiswert.

Nicht erwartet das es so lecker wird. Man merkts das alles hausgemacht ist und das ist heutzutage leider nicht mehr selbstverständlich.

Ein toller Ort um anständig zu essen, in einem angenehmen Raum der zum verweilen einlädt. Austragungsort für den berühmten Stammtisch der Kantdestoyer69. Danke an den Rumpler für die Unterstützung all die Jahre.
