Rumpler in München

A pub as it should be. Since most Munich taverns now offer rather disappointing food for exorbitant prices, this is a real ray of hope. Very good food at more reasonable prices. Service friendly and attentive. Even when I think about it, I can't think of anything bad.

The Rumpler inn has a lot of charm. Typically Bavarian, rustic. Absolutely cozy Boar tavern atmosphere. The food is classic Bavarian, absolute price and performance ratio. Really really fair / affordable prices for excellent & regional cuisine. We had the carrot/ginger cream soup of the day and the Munich schnitzel. Large, fresh and tasty portion. For dessert we chose a fine brandy. Plum in a whiskey barrel and a Williams. Absolutely recommended. We'd love to come back

There were three of us and we ate very well. We recommend the Kässpatzen and Savoy cabbage rolls. The service is friendly and attentive. It's also not as loud as some other restaurants, so it's easy to have a conversation.

I've been here a few times and really enjoyed the food very much. The service is good, the prices fair, the portions ample, and the variety on the menu is impressive. I tried some traditional Bavarian food, as well as some of the creative vegetarian choices, which were superb. The food tastes fresh and homemade, high quality but down to earth, not fancy but truly enjoyable. I recommend this place for casual dinners with friends and family. People of all ages go here, it's family friendly, and has something for everyone.

We celebrated my birthday there on the recommendation of my son-in-law. Had the next room. Since there were children there, it was ideal. The food and service were very good. Gladly again .

Without a reservation it will be difficult, at least in the winter months...and that's right. What a sensational service... friendly, competent, fast and friendly... what a mega combination!!! Food was very good and both the portion sizes and the pricing were very reasonable for a city like Munich... but I don't want to hide the fact that my Kaiserschmarrn (preparation time advertised on the menu as 45 minutes, i.e. freshly prepared) tasted great but was unfortunately far away from well-baked....and what can I say...the criticism was responded to very courteously...there was immediate understanding and we were able to clarify in a very pleasant way...who ordered it...at least eat it for two....a huge portion.... Summary...the store doesn't need any advertising because it stands for yourself with quality...but I can still recommend everyone to visit there

A very tasty meal with friendly and attentive service. The restaurant stands out from the rest of the Glockenbach gastronomy scene in a very pleasant and down-to-earth manner. It is also child-friendly. It's nice to sit outside in the summer. Since it is always quite full at peak times, it is worth making a reservation.

The Rumpler is something very special in its originality that welcomes everyone! A real rarity not only in the Glockenbachviertel, but in Munich. The innkeepers Fabian and Fiona and their wonderful, friendly, hard-working team ensure that you not only feel like a guest, but (almost) at home! The food (many thanks to the kitchen!) is truly Bavarian, very varied, the drinks are delicious (premium on tap!), the atmosphere is great, the prices are fair. I was recently at Rumpler with my cousins ​​who had come from far away - a wonderful evening!

Nice Bavarian restaurant, very busy. It is advisable to reserve. Service was friendly, the food was good and reasonably priced. We had reserved for 25 people, but the space we were offered was very limited. We weren't allowed to move to other tables either.

Con suerte se pueden encontrar plazas de aparcamiento frente a la puerta, el Glockenbachviertel es también una zona muy agradable para pasear cerca del cementerio sur. La decoración es agradablemente rústico, el servicio es muy amable y servicial y la selección de platos está absolutamente bien. Teníamos el cerdo asado pequeño por 12 €. 80 , que fue muy bueno en términos de porción y sabor. Tuve una muy buena impresión en todo momento y estaría feliz de volver en cualquier momento. Lecker Bayerische Küche. Mehr kann man eigentlich gar nicht dazu sagen. Wir hatten die Fleischpflanzerl und die große Portion Schweinebraten mit Knödel und Kraut Beides war spitze. Meine Frau hat die Fleischpflanzerl nicht geschafft und musste sich noch 1 Pflanzerl einpacken lassen. Und zum leckeren Augustinerbräu muss man nichts sagen. Es schmeckt einfach lecker.

This is how a pub should be. The prices are well below Munich standards and the food is absolutely fantastic. I will go there again if I ever find myself in Munich again.

The Rumpler is my regular restaurant in Munich. I like to go there for lunch. Great pancakes with potato salad. And the new innkeepers are great!

Nice place, but very loud (more like a bar than a restaurant… the main problem was we ordered a dish and after all our friends received and eat their food, the waitress came and said they didn’t have our dish, so we waited one hour to know this, then need to choose another dish and wait more some time to receive the new order… a bit disorganized!

Fantastic service in a really fun, traditional Bavarian eatery. We are the roast pork and the sliced pork with mushrooms and spaetzle, washed down with lovely beer and Austrian white wine. Like everything we ate in Munich, it was very tasty and filling!

A tavern that has managed to bring tavern tradition into the modern era. I always feel really comfortable here. Be it for a quick light meal or for an opulent meal (including delicious vegetarian dishes. Stars and hearts to the great team!

Service is very nice - but sometimes it is unclear who is looking in which area. Unfortunately, my cheese spaetzle only made it to my table after 40 minutes. On Friday you can enjoy delicious beer from the wooden barrel.

Munich cosiness in the Glockenbachviertel. On Fridays, delicious Augustiner fresh from the wooden barrel. Prices are more than reasonable for Munich and the ham noodles are honestly delicious. Clear recommendation.

Always friendly service and some of the best Spätzle you can find. And of course, the wooden barrel Augustiner Bier on Fridays is perfect!

Solid choice for Bavarian food with daily specials, and the usual Werdenhaus food in the heart of the Glockenbachviertel. The outdoor seating fills up almost! Sadly no pork knuckle today so I had the roast pork with sauerkraut, potato dumplings, bread dumplings and dark beer sauce. All great!

The outdoor seating is located on a street with little traffic, at least on the weekend. Cream mushrooms with dumplings 12.80, unfortunately only 1 dumpling. But very good. Price for small mixed salad here 3.80, in the restaurant 4.80. Too much for this portion. Very limited vegetarian options, very meat-heavy. All in all, €20 is a bit too much. But you can go.

Das Rumpler hat seit 2024 neue Inhaber. Die alten kannten wir nicht, die neuen machen es richtig: gute Portionen, leckeres Essen, eine 1A Allergiekennzeichnung und sehr freundliches Personal. Der Abend war toll, und wem die Portionen zu groß sind: Reste werden gerne eingepackt.

My wife, our daughter and I went to the Augustiner Restaurant Rumpler with my wife's sister's family. We had dinner there together. (July 31, 2024) The warm summer evening weather meant we were able to sit comfortably outside. The atmosphere was very pleasant and despite the street being next to it, you could chat in peace. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating throughout the evening. The food we ordered, whether it was the Wiener Schnitzel, the meatloaf, or the creamed veal goulash from the daily menu, tasted very good and was of great quality. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely fair. The Augustiner Restaurant Rumpler in Munich is a place for a cozy get-together, with delicious food and drink and in a quiet atmosphere. We would be happy to come back for dinner on our next visit to Munich. Thank you for this beautiful experience!

We were there for dinner. The dumpling grestl tasted very good, a little more gravy wouldn't have been bad - but tastes vary. Beer freshly tapped from Augustiner, everything wonderful. Prices are still reasonably reasonable for Munich standards, which is why it's very crowded. But everyone got a place.
