We drove here from further away because we wanted to eat something sweet in the evening. The employee named “Aiham” welcomed us very warmly, gave us advice and left nothing to be desired. Super nice employee. I would come again just because of Aiham! Künefe is also very tasty. The ice cream on the Künefe tasted better than in Turkey, really great. Thank you again and thank you Aiham! Hello, I was there today with my family, despite saying several times that I wanted another tea and being asked to do so, I was insulted by a cellar lady named Nisa and told me to wait, very rude, that was the very last thing.

I was at the Damla restaurant in Cologne-Ehrenfeld with my family today and unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The food was okay, but the service was simply disastrous. In particular, the waitress, who appeared to be called "Nisa", was incredibly rude and made us feel uncomfortable throughout the evening. Her manner was rude and unprofessional, so we didn't feel welcome at all. It's a shame, because friendly service is just as important as good food. We definitely won't be coming back

The breakfast buffet costs €15.50. There are hearty warm and cold dishes and also a small selection of desserts. Hot foods are sometimes very oily and could be better kept warm. Cold, hearty salads, spreads and the like were no longer all fresh and some already tasted sour. It's nice that fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce are available. There was a very small selection of pastries. As for sweets, there was baklava, rice pudding, pieces of cake and more. It tasted okay, but everything wasn't quite fresh anymore. But there is great jam! And even cornflakes. You can always pour yourself tea. There is also lentil soup. The service was good.

One of the best Baclava. Their kunefe was heavenly. The ice-cream and their milk cake with sweet caramel topping was out of this world.

Food (falalfel wrap) was very tasty. One star deducted because there is no alcohol. We would have liked to have enjoyed a Kölsch with it. The baklava for dessert is to die for.

Today I had breakfast with my class. At Damla you have a lot to choose from different specialties and the food tastes very tasty.

On June 25th, 2024 I had dinner with a group. The taste was bad, the food was too oily and the bread was dry. Many dishes were empty. For 15 euros it wasn't worth it, worth 5 euros at most. Overall not recommended.

The warm dishes and savory items at the breakfast buffet were very tasty, but unfortunately the bread and desserts weren't at all 😥 I wouldn't go there again...

Never again. Cake wasn't there. Cakes not stored in a cool place. If they say that all the cakes are always there, then they should be there. Unfortunately it wasn't like that. Extremely disappointed.

The waiter Enes from Urfa is top. It's only because of him that I'm here for the second time. One of the best and most personable waiters I've seen in recent years.

Very tasty dessert at proud prices

We went to Damla for delicious dessert as it is highly praised by some people. Well, everyone has different expectations and has different experiences. I think this store is definitely overrated!! Ambiance is attractively beautiful. However, this store was built so carelessly that the employees are constantly running back and forth to serve the guests and this creates a commotion in the store that was almost unbearable but then the guests came too... the noise level was already there at the attack. Some people have definitely not heard of a quiet and comfortable way to go out. In the end we could hardly stand it any longer and got out again in no time. The prices are mega expensive. We know enough places and can compare the prices very well... They are definitely off the charts here. In terms of taste, some of the selection we made was good. As much as we sometimes like to turn a blind eye and don't necessarily want to harm the operators and give the next best rating... We can't make a recommendation for Damla. And as always, we point out that our feelings/experience is a snapshot and everyone should still feel free to collect their own experience.

We have a Mercimek lentil soup, a vegetarian pide, a minced meat pide and ate a freshly made Künefe with ice cream….Künefe was of course a dream. Otherwise we were often here in the morning for the breakfast buffet, which is mega opulent and fills you up all day 😂

I tried it twice where i was unlucky. The first time i bought different kind of baklava , and most of them haven’t been fresh . The second time i ordered a birthday cake , the order was wrong but i was forced to take it because i had no time to order a new one , and it was soooo sweet . The funny thing is that the cake i ordered was similar to what they offer in the store just in another color and they called the chef to check if he can make it( the whole scene was for nothing ) . And comparing to the quality, it is way too expensive!

As we tried to pay for the meal we had another unpleasant encounter with a male employee. Instead of serving us politely, he asked us a completely inappropriate question. It seemed like he was more interested in our appearance than his job when he asked why my friend no longer had any hair on his head. This type of behavior is not only disrespectful, but also extremely unprofessional. It seriously spoiled our visit to this store and made us feel like our privacy was not being respected. I cannot emphasize enough how disappointing this experience was and how I strongly advise against shopping or eating here!!!!!

I am shocked by the service at Damla! The two of us sat at a table for four as there were no other tables available. The waiter rudely asked us several times to make room because apparently there were many guests waiting and the boss ordered this. We asked if we could share the table for two as there were two tables placed next to each other. However, the waiter objected and walked away. As we were eating our dessert, he came back and asked when we would finally give up the table. I have never experienced something like that! How rude and disrespectful can you treat customers? The guests next to us were outraged and also criticized his behavior. We shared the tables with them independently. After dessert we wanted to pay and complain to the waiter. We asked to speak to the boss but he wasn't there. So that was also a lie from the waiter to put pressure on us. When he noticed that we wanted to file a complaint, he intervened and explained the situation in his favor. He didn't tell the truth and blamed us. He claimed that we weren't willing to be assigned another seat, but we accommodated him and offered to share the table ourselves (which is not a given!). He still refused and insisted that we get up. It's a shame that in this restaurant you can't even take responsibility for your behavior and let such employees serve guests. The man at the cash register was very friendly and apologized for the waiter's behavior, which the waiter himself couldn't do. He became even more insolent! Although no coffee money was collected, it is still impossible for Damla to let such people approach customers. That was the last time we entered this place! I don't recommend it to anyone!

Very nice location for a Turkish brunch. The buffet consists of hearty salads, scrambled eggs, spreads and Turkish bread. Various sweets and black tea are also included. The service was very nice.

When I traveled 35 minutes and wanted to buy dessert, the employee did not sell the dessert he had in his hands, which I could easily see in the cupboard, saying these were for the customers in the store. The friend even made a joke when I said, "I came all this way for this dessert," and said, "If you had come by train, you would have arrived in less time." The Question is: Am I not a customer? Nicht zu empfehlen. Wir waren vor zwei Wochen am Sonntag Abend bei Damla um nach dem Essen ein Künefe zu essen. sehr unverschämte Mitarbeiterin und sehr schlechter Service. Sie bedienen jeden anders. Die Service war schlecht. Das Künefe war angebrannt und hat gar nicht geschmeckt. Wir wollten am Ende die Rechnung haben, aber wird uns gesagt, wir sollen vorne an der Kasse bezahlen, obwohl den hinteren Tisch am Tisch bezahlen konnte und sie hatten genau die gleiche Bestellung. Naja am anderen Tisch saßen Türken. Ich bin ein Mensch, der sich nicht gerne beschwert und immer Trinkgeld lässt. Aber da konnte ich nicht alles ignorieren

Baklava hat uralt geschmeckt und war sauteuer, dafür, dass es soo schlecht schmeckt. Auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen

Wir haben Baklava und şöbiyet gegessen und muss leider sagen, dass die es leider so gar nicht geschmeckt hat und wir das Gefühl hatten dass das seit Tagen am Tresen steht... So hat's zumindest geschmeckt. Der Teig war nicht frisch und der kaymak im şöbiyet hat so gar nicht geschmeckt. Schade

Wer baklava mag ist genau richtig und wer es nicht kennt dann bitte herkommen und probieren

Wir waren zu 9 Personen haben dort gefrühstückt. Preis pro Person liegt bei 15.50 Euro Nach knapp einer Stunde kam eine Kellnerin und verlangte von uns, dass wir uns beeilen sollen, damit sich die nächsten Personen an den Tisch setzen können. Wir waren sichtlich geschockt, waren eigentlich nur eine Pause am machen und wollte nachdem wir unsere Getränke getrunken haben, weiter essen. Dies haben wir auch der Kellnerin gesagt, aber das war ihr egal. Keine fünf Minuten später kam eine andere Kellnerin und fing am dreisterweise unsere vollen Tee und Kaffee Tassen abzuräumen. Ich habe sie sofort darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass wir noch trinken wollen und es unverschämt ist, volle Tassen/ Gläser einfach abzuräumen. Daraufhin ist die Kellnerin mit einem genervetem Blick gegangen. Einfach unverschämt die Kellnerinen dort, sehr unsympathisch und unprofessionell Wir wollten eigentlich im Dezember bin 25 Personen dorthin, aber nach dieser Aktion gehen wir lieber woanders hin.
