What a shame, a dismal welcome, 2 employees who speak badly to each other, 2 Italian employees who speak badly about customers, a shame, fortunately the very professional manager!!

With a 1.5 hr wait between connecting planes we wanted a place away from the busy eateries. Dallmayr Restaurant was the perfect spot. Food was great & the service was very good. Thank you to Asllani for looking after us quickly & efficiently.

An Asian/Thai counter worker was extremely moody, unfair, loud and unfriendly. All the guests shook their heads! The goods are very expensive anyway, and if the staff is rude, I have to say I'll never go there again!!

The food came very quickly and tasted great. Since I have already been to the dallmayr restaurant on Marienplatz, I am used to very good service from dallmayr. Unfortunately, this high standard could not be reflected in the airport bistro. You are not treated as exquisitely as you would imagine.

Bought a sandwich at Dallmayr’s Munich Airport. Wanted to eat it seating. Impossible: it’s a takeaway and you’re not allowed to seat at their bar even if there’s plenty of seats left. So if you want to eat and bring seated at the same time forget about Dallmayr’s.

I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The food seemed old and lacked freshness, which was a major letdown. While the waitstaff were fast, their service felt very robotic, with little attention to customer satisfaction. After I raised a complaint about the quality of the food, I was expecting at least some gesture to make things right, but instead, it was brushed off as if nothing had happened. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

I usually don't post reviews in places like this, but I felt so bad that I decided to post a review. I left all the food behind, so I couldn't eat it with that feeling. No casual greetings, no kindness, no response to orders. I had to wait more than 10minutes to place an order. I felt strongly that they were intentionally avoiding me. So a customer at another table tried to help me place an order I don't know if they act like that because I'm Asian or they are not well trained in customer service, but either way their behavior was unreasonable

Poor service, expensive, bland food

We had breakfast at the Dallmayr Bistro several times before our departure. This time we weren't 100% satisfied with the service and since breakfast is a bit more expensive anyway (I'm usually happy to accept that) and we were a bit sparing with tips, the waiter's behavior was anything but professional. On the contrary, he was sulky and forgot the polite formulas from one minute to the next. Next time we will have breakfast somewhere else 🙅‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Be careful if you go with the intention of ordering food and sitting quietly at one of their tables: as soon as you arrive at the establishment, you'll see a line of people waiting to order. The thing is, once you've paid, they won't let you sit at their tables: they tell you that this is the restaurant section, and that you have to find somewhere else in the airport to eat or drink what you bought, because you ordered from the "take away" line (there are no signs indicating it’s for take away). I had to eat my sandwich and drink my coffee at the boarding gates... A bad and expensive experience.

Where are you going? Let's hope that wherever that is, this is the worst meal for the duration of your excursion. It's not terrible..for Germany. Limp leaves from a crypt, hummus that is basically tahini, and yet somehow flavourless...the burghul was quite ok. The felafel bwly a country that is full of turks and lebanese that know better..all for €21..But, for pretty much anywhere that you can fly from here, Middle East, Europe (including all the countries, yes, even Poland), this is, well, German standard world food. It really was ok. But if I prepared this for myself at home, I'd be as disappointed as a teenager who landed on a website for home gardening, expecting to see what teenagers want to see. Still, the second beer I just ordered is likely to have me in Varigotti, my destination (the birth place of pesto) asap.

Terrible customer service. I waited 10 minutes in line to get a take away pretzel for my 3 year old and got shouted at by the cashier for not queueing correctly. Unfortunately a very bad experience that will keep me from buying there again.

We accidentally took the wrong entrance, but we didn't realize it until we were already seated. In the area where we sat down, all (!) tables were free (approx. 20!). The waiter walked past our table several times for 10 minutes and ignored us throughout. When we asked if we could order something, he complained that we had taken the wrong entrance and that we weren't friendly. Then we got up and left. We are currently receiving extremely friendly service at Käfer. Dallmayr, is this how you treat guests? Unfortunately you can't give zero stars.

I recently dined at Dallmayr terminal 2, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I ordered the 300-gram ribeye, and it was nothing short of perfection. The portion size was generous, to say the least, yet every bite was packed with flavor, making it worth every calorie. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with a perfect sear on the outside with very little fat. The sides were equally impressive, complementing the rich taste of the ribeye beautifully. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, largely thanks to the attentive and friendly service. My waitress made me feel incredibly welcome, attending to my needs with a smile and genuine kindness. It was clear that she, along with the rest of the team, truly enjoy what they do. Their passion for their work translated into an overall excellent dining experience. If you're looking for a place that serves top-notch food with a team that makes you feel at home, Dallmayr is the place to be. I'll definitely be returning for another round of that incredible ribeye!

Got some Food from the front desk (expensive, but ok). Then saw a friend sitting in the restaurant area. Decided to drink a coffee with him. Was shooed away rudely by the unfriendly service staff because I am not allowed to est the food from the frontdesk there (my friend ordered food there, restaurant was half empty).

Very sad that an institution that produces cofffee doesn’t even know how to brew coffee. The worst coffee I ever had, the place and the staff is nice, however I would have never expected to have an undrinkable cappuccino!!! They should hire proper baristas.

I can only agree with the bad reviews. Offer on the menu insufficient. No eating the rolls from the counter. Never again.

It's a shame not to consume purchased products on site at the tables.

A frozen crossaint 4.50, completely out of your mind stay away

We really enjoyed the coffee and the cakes were delicious too. However, the organization is not optimal. When we were there, there were obviously not enough staff. But the atmosphere is nice and the service is friendly.

Most of the small menu tastes good, but is, as is typical for airports, overpriced. What is not possible is to sell a strange flat cake filled with apples, among other things, as a “cheesecake”. This will only lead to trouble with customers!

We had dinner at Dallmeyer today. One salmon steak and one Viennese schnitzel. The schnitzel was good and the portion size was generous for airport standards. The salmon steak was equally tasty. However, the service was less satisfactory. At first a bad seat with a wobbly table was assigned in an almost disrespectful manner. Only after discussion could another table be moved, although everything was free.

Very professional waiters and great dining. They really understand what a medium done steak is. I definitely recommend the restaurant!

I used it to eat breakfast before boarding the plane. The airport is large and there were many other stores, but I didn't want to wait in line, so I chose this one because I thought I could sit and relax. The photo on the menu looked a bit shabby, but it was a satisfying meal, especially with the large amount of eggs. But the price is high. Especially now (July 2024), the yen is weak, so the damage to my wallet was huge (lol)

Sumptuous breakfast. Possibility to have it Continental, Italian or American style. Fair price. In the end it costs less to have breakfast here and spend an hour and a half, rather than having a frugal breakfast and buying various sweets at the duty free.

The Bavarian Breakfast set included two pieces of white sausages, a large pretzel, mustard and butter. The sausages were served warm in a porcelain bowl with hot water. They tasted mild and nice. The pretzel is large but typical cold and hard. Nice large restaurant but very crowded. There is some waiting time to be seated, a wait for the food and also waiting time for the bill. There is also a takeaway counter with cakes and sandwiches if you prefer something quicker.

Only realized too late that you can't take food and drinks from the bar to sit down. No seating anywhere, just crowded gates. 😒 The cheese triangle tasted bland and felt like it had been sitting for a long time.

Pure assessment of the service: Why do I have to choose a tip when paying by card at the sales counter where I get something myself? Does Dallmayr now belong to the Americans? It shouldn't be like that.

If I could give zero stars for the service, I would do give that. The waiters are arrogant, very unpleasent and ignoring the customers. Also very expensive compared to the portion size and taste. Wouldnt bother going there.

20 euro salads are small, too small for the price. Also very unprofessional service from the waitresses. It seems like customers are a bursen to them. Avoid at all costs. Not a proper restaurant at all.

My conversation in this cafe Me: hey I have a Lufthansa voucher for 15 euros , can I buy something Them : sorry sir, I dont think voucher works , it might work but it might not work aswell. Me: can you check Them : (after checking) what can I get you for 15 euros. After buying. Them: sorry you cant sit in our restaurant, its only for people who orders sitting . This is a airport cafe. Food and location good but waiters are rude, lazy and prefer to walk past the order 5 times or chat instead of actually working. When I spoke to him, he said it wasn't his problem what others did. For the money, absolutely not the quality you would expect from dallmayr!

Shameless! We have already paid over 25 euros for three rolls/sandwiches at the takeaway counter. When paying by card, you are then confronted with a typical American tipping menu that recommends a tip of at least 7% for serving pastries from the counter. The icing on the cake is that you're not even allowed to sit on one of the chairs with your luxury rolls (almost 30 euros for 3 pieces including the tip!). These are reserved for “full service” restaurant guests, so the food is probably worth its weight in gold. Food quality was okay, hence 2 stars, business conduct was simply outrageous.

We stood at the counter for over 10 minutes and were greeted by the 2! The gentlemen serving (one tall and blonde with a beard, the other also tall with a dark complexion and very short hair) were ignored while everyone else was being served. After I pointed out that we would now like to have a turn, we were greeted with such an unfriendly breakfast ("if you want to drink the coffee here, go to the service area"), so we left and at the Beetle ate and drank something... Sorry Dalmayer, but as a previously regular customer, this was my last visit here.

Typically German: If you buy a cappuccino in a paper cup at the counter (for EUR 4.90, mind you), you will be turned away at the entrance to the area with the tables. Argument: You bought a drink to go. If you want to sit, you have to order at the table (for the same price). Complete madness. Despite the protests of the employees, we still sat down - and saw that the questionable system led to discussions with guests every 5 minutes. Conclusion: You should avoid the bistro!

Terribly slow and unresponsive service. Took me 15min to pay. After asking 3 times I had to get up to leave to push the issue. All the food is drastically overpriced even for airport standards. The cushy sofas look good but you get more stress from the staff and pricing than you relax before your flight. Ended up running to the gate. Thank you very much.

I had time for a quick snack in your restaurant today before my flight to Rome. The food and drink were also perfect - just as I'm used to from your main restaurant in Munich! But the fact that one of your employees stood in front of the drinks buffet with a plate and ate her food in front of the guests, that irritated me a little! Having worked in the catering industry for 20 years myself, I found that very inappropriate! Kind regards FF

Seats were not allocated, although there were enough staff on site and many tables were not occupied. Table top was very dirty and had not been cleaned. There was also a lot of contamination on the floor, which the staff apparently didn't care about. Background music was loud and inappropriate. When ordering the rib-eye, the desired level of doneness was not asked at all; Meat was served almost cooked through, but quality was adequate. The potatoes from the side dish looked like they came from a deep fryer, i.e. dripping greasy. Prices were okay. Why the invoice was labeled as an “interim receipt” is beyond my knowledge.

Locally only half occupied, queue at the entrance at the so-called entry point and no staff to be seen who had assigned people to their seats and no other option to find one of the empty seats ourselves. We were brusquely turned away by staff at another unguarded entrance and rudely asked to join the queue. We politely declined and moved a few meters further and enjoyed first-class service and delicious food at Käfer.

You have a big name, we are really fans of yours, I like to queue for 40 minutes in December to find something great for Christmas presents, your terrace is one of the coolest in Munich. But what you read here and what was the case with us, the service is a catastrophe! Please act, it doesn't do your name justice!

Excellent airport restaurant. After 2 months in Canada and the USA, a basket of sugar-free rolls and a good coffee to finish the meal are welcome! Efficient servers!

I ordered the famous breaded veal. The schnitzel was alright.but It was served with cold mash, I ate half of it because I was hungry and I also spent lots of money on the dish nearly 30 euro. On the side remains untouched is sad looking not fresh salad. I think because the plate was hot and when they put the salad on hot plate it just makes it less fresh. I told the waiter who was too busy attending other customers. The only one in large area. He said you are sitting here for 30 minutes. By the way untrue. I sat for 30 minutes but the food arrived after 20 minutes. salad arrived like this as you can see, No sauce or seasoning what so ever no olive oil no balsamic vinegar nothing. Just sad looking not fresh leaves platted on hot plate Zero food is quality. Zero and extremely rude customer service. A man with beard. French accent not sure what is his name. Avoid it if you can. I should have read the reviews before sitting here. Its one of the lowest in the airport and I see I am not the only one complained of rude treatment. When I tried to pay I held the card and put my napkin on the side and also put the fork and knife on a manner to show I am ready to pay. He looked at me and turned his back and ignored me for more than 1 hour like this. Big 👎🏽

After entering the restaurant, the waitress didn't even look at you. Neighbors get menus. No look, no hello. Well, then you've probably already earned enough. We just left and spent our money somewhere else.

The food itself is OK, the prices are expensive, but typical for Munich airport... However, the waiter is a disaster, unfriendly, arrogant and stroppy... Unfortunately, I have to make frequent stops in Munich, but this was my third and last attempt at this restaurant! I'd rather stand in line at other restaurants for 20 minutes before dealing with this waiter again!! Sorry, but even with a constantly changing clientele, that's not the way to treat customers...

We had breakfast there. The rolls are very, very small, but that's generally not a problem. The taste did, however: it tasted like pure yeast - actually not edible. The scrambled eggs were practically unseasoned. Very unfortunate for the price.

Based on the name, you would actually expect great service and good coffee. The waiters took their time and didn't seem very motivated. Coffee was okay, but the Prosecco was quite warm, not sparkling and sour... Later we went to the Beetle, which is definitely more recommended...

The service is execrable, with foreign tourists but also with German tourists. The waiters clearly don't want to work. They throw the menus at you on the table and leave. And when you order, they leave before they've taken the entire order.

A whopping 9 euros for a roll, which was apparently from the day before, is an impudence and a disgrace for the Dallmayr house!

Was in this restaurant for about 10 minutes today and I'm glad to be gone. There were 3 x arguments between waiters and guests, the waiter refused to take my change despite a 2 euro tip, he doesn't want that, there are cents in it and then gave me everything in coins so that I could see what it was like.. Real!

Attempted to eat here today for a meal with my partner. Was turned away by the waiter because "we're full" when there were clearly tables free and this then turned into a "we're closed". Feel this was specifically because we spoke English and were treated differently because of it. He was extremely rude and this establishment doesn't deserve your patronage.

I stopped in for a good breakfast at the restaurant, which I can wholeheartedly recommend. I started the day with warm tea with honey, then it was time for scrambled eggs served with crispy rolls. Friendly and professional service. It's a good place to stop for a while and eat something good. Heavy traffic. The bill - as for the airport, affordable. Although it could be a little cheaper. Price for one person 26 euros.

Bad food and bad service and hospitality

Very poor quality of food to my experience. I ordered the Vegetarian linguine and it was not good. Staff are nice though

Food was quite tasty, prices were a bit high but to be expected in the airport. However, the waiter was very negative and made it seem as if he had either not slept well or had never waited tables before. He is the slightly taller and broader Asian man with short hair, whose name I will not mention here for his benefit. No greeting, no smile and no friendly demeanor. When paying, he simply snatched my card out of his hand, held it on the EC device and then dropped it back on the table. During this, not a word was said and after the receipt was printed out, I immediately turned around without saying goodbye. I've never experienced such bad service in my life and despite the good quality of the food, it drags the experience down so much. I wouldn't even want a waiter like that at a fast food restaurant in a drive-thru.

I was there today at around 8am and I just have to write this now while I'm still waiting for my next flight. We were served by a very unfriendly or somewhat rude waiter. First he just dumped the menu on the table, with no smile unlike the way he was serving the others. When I paid with my debit card, he took the card and scanned it, why? Isn't it the point of using card is CONTACTLESS? HE then didn't return the card to me by giving it to me. Instead he drop it on the table. I don't get it. He looks Asian to me or maybe south American , and treating Asian with an attitude? I always give tips, but because of this waiter, 1 cent tips doesn't even worth it!

About 15 minutes ago a rude waiter rudely threw the menu cards on the table. The worst place at Munich airport.

I ordered the linguini dish and was very excited for it (it had all my favorites: mushrooms, white wine, garlic, tomato). I was disappointed to be presented with a bland and tasteless lukewarm dish and immediately turned off from my lunch when I bit into an ice cold (literally) piece of mushroom? I *think* it was mushroom — it was grey and unrecognizable without knowing the ingredients. It led me to believe I was given a frozen dish that was warmed up (barely) before plated. The server was very kind about it, but I wont be returning. My husband had the weinerschnitzel which was excellent. I suggest a tasty sandwich for half the price right across the way.

Unfriendly, arrogant and contradictory service staff in the “restaurant area” - there is no need to respond to guests here. It's better to walk 20 meters further to the other providers. The food was very mediocre and (as usual at the airport and also with other providers) completely overpriced for the quality.

We had white sausage which was very good. But a price of 14.10 for 2 white and 1 baking machine pretzel is excessive.
