The service was very bad, we couldn't eat.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the schnitzel! In some places in Germany, some restaurants are temporarily closed during the day, or the food you want to eat is sold out by noon... narrow? wide? No choice at the airport. So, I missed the schnitzel at Dalmaya's. After defeating the munchies, I headed to the plane. In Germany, the Beer Purity Law was enacted in 1516, which stipulated that only barley, hops, water, and yeast could be added to beer, and it is still strictly adhered to. Beer made according to this law is not suitable for long-term storage or long-distance transportation, so there are no breweries that cover all of Germany. Therefore, the fresh beer made in small breweries scattered around the country can be considered the true German beer. Am I the only one who thinks that German beer in Japan doesn't taste good at all?

I am not usual to leave feedbacks but this morning an ordinary breakfast turned into a negative experience while paying the bill. The waiter upset about no tips, rudely commented my “Thank You” with “Thank You for my bad service as no tips”. Customer care makes the difference, don’t make clients feel just numbers, tips are a recognition of a good service and not mandatory, at least in DE. Clean the tables, exchange a smile, be polite and professional if you pretend to be tipped. Next stop in Munich Apt > different bistro for a meal.

It's a shame Dallmayr stands for something other than loveless breakfast. The first picture should be the classic breakfast and the second should be what you get. A very loveless plate with a lot of scrambled eggs. Dallmayr can do that much better. Dice unloved tomatoes. Cucumbers are not available, basil is also out. No love in plain German, just slapped on it. Cappuccino was very good. Staff is also friendly.

Rude staff, I asked for a hot lemonade because I wasn't well, while my friend ordered lunch and drinks, spending 20+ euros and I was told that I had ordered the cheapest thing they had from the waiter. Terrible environment, not recommended due to rudeness

The service is top notch. The first sever greated us and seated us right away. Then the second waitress came to get our order. She was quick and friendly. We even asked for an extra hot coffee and she kindly accommodated us with it and we ended up with 2 for each 🤭 so much we enjoyed it. Breakfast (eggs, vegetables, pretzels) was delicious and Bread was fresh and crispy. This will be my new to go restaurant every time I fly through Munich. After a very bad experience at another restaurant in this airport during a previous trip, the people of Dallmayr made my day. I highly recommend them!

The waiter added a tip on the bill without my consent, then when I confronted him, he tried to argue this was normal in Germany. What a shame! Before this incident my experience there was totally OK.

Horrible customer service here. I landed from Canada and got a coffee, some pretzels ( as I am vegan) and sprinkled water. I set in a corner at the bar to wait for my father as he wanted to have lunch. Meanwhile an old staff member with white hair and hanging belly asked me to leave as I didn’t order food. Even the restaurant’s tables were more than half free. I nearly drop of my coffee as I had to carry my luggage as well. I will never comeback to this place. Shame to restaurant's staff

Not worthy of the name Dallymayr. Incredibly unmotivated and unfriendly lady when assigning tables. Such people should not be used on guests.

Great place, usually go here when passing by Munich, on the expensive side but reasonably good food (had schnitzel today), good wines by the glass and really good espresso….very busy day in MUC, and Asslani (the waiter) was super busy but very friendly and efficient, kudos.

As mentioned a few times before, we weren't allowed to sit down because we bought our breakfast at the counter. All the seats were empty, but the seating area was open. According to the staff, you are not allowed to consume the food you bought at Dallmayr - in the seating area. Many guests were very upset. Many will probably avoid this bistro in the future.

€12 for a bad coffee, a bad croissant and a bottle of water and they say “sorry you can’t sit down, it’s just for the restaurant”???? A shame!

We were assigned a table and ordered 2 cappuccinos. We also wanted to order 3 filled lye corners from the display case - unfortunately that wasn't possible because the items in the display case are only for walk-in customers... I don't really understand the concept of why you can't order anything with your coffee - would you make too MUCH sales????

Unfriendly staff, sends paying customers away to Käfer because there are 20 tables available and the service is still not keeping up

We were 12 people on 3 tables March 30, 2025 4:56 p.m. the waiter came and asked everyone how much beer we wanted. 7 pieces were ordered. a second waiter came and put 7 beers on table 1 even though there were only 4 people there and only 2 ordered beers With the request to divide up the rest, there was a shallow answer Table 1 ordered, there was a second request to split them up. Unfortunately no success. Then we did it ourselves. Me and my wife wanted something to eat, I missed it!! I paid for my beer and mineral water and ate at another restaurant. The staff was very rude!

It was very busy. The staff were very diligent and worked quickly. The atmosphere was very rushed. The breakfast wasn't that good and wasn't what we expected. Of the three mini rolls in a giant basket, one was left over. It was okay, but not good for the price. Next time, we'd grab something to go from the counter and sit at the gate instead.

Perfect, refined top-quality white sausage breakfast. Directly after the security check at Terminal 2 of Munich Airport is the newest branch of the Munich delicatessen, which also aims to introduce cosmopolitans to the world's specialties. Anyone who knows the shop in the city center knows that Dallmayr is not Feinkost Kolinski and that you have to dig deep into your pockets for the delicacies. If you consider that the sausage water has to be passed through the X-ray machine in 100 ml containers, the price also explains itself. When you're at HON Circle, however, you're not impressed, and you'll find not only the obligatory airport sandwich and VIO water on the menu, but a much finer selection. Since you lose track of time behind security checks, Weisswurst is available here around the clock, even if that is a faux pas in the promised land. The guest garden in the middle of the hustle and bustle is not only more elegantly furnished than the other seating areas in the airport, but also offers an excellent view of the business travelers and aimless tourists in their dedicated flight sweatpants scurrying past. The fact that the choice of top gastronomy for wheat beer falls on the Hofbräuhaus leaves the bon vivant of the isotonic hop drink at a loss. A tastier alternative could have been chosen here.

A cafe at the airport with prompt service, delicious beer, cozy. But the price tag is simply terribly inflated for who knows what.

Is a Shame at 09:30 in the morning to shit down to have a coffee and breakfast and to wait 15min for a menu and order taken and 40 min for 2 fried eggs.... food extremely poor quality. Hygiene of cooks and the Chef are eating with hands touching my food infront of me in the open kitchen and same the waiter and a woman cashier eating relaxing touching food by hand instant to serve orders.... Hygiene zero no vinyl gloves Chef no hats or nets on the heads..... Fruit salad was include on the breakfast plate but no small spoon or fork to eat it. How you will eat from a barrel glass bowl the salad with big fork from breakfast dish???? NO SALT OR BLACK PEPPER AVAIALBLE?? SERIOUSLY? I ask for a double espresso with some milk they brought black espresso double with one sachet sugar. I ask another waiter for sugar and brought me 3 sachets very rude..... Extremely bad i do not suggest you stop there not even for a glass of water.... Food was completely fine. However, my order was delivered incorrectly and due to the short time left until the flight, I didn't want to make any changes. Unfortunately the service is not particularly good. I had to make it very clear to myself and that I really wanted to pay. The first two times it was passed on, but I didn't receive an invoice. So it took until a third request before I was finally able to pay. The ambience was typically loud at an airport. Unfortunately I sat in the middle and didn't have a very good seat. However, purely based on the quality of the food, I'll probably come back.

Classic coffee bar. They offer good German coffee, which is one of the famoust German coffee brands. Quite a lot people in the morning. Prices rather high as in the airport. There are something to eat here and good beer.

Food is what it is, and it's as expensive as poison. I give a couple of stars for the service, the person who assisted me (Mr. Aldo) immediately made me feel at ease and with his professionalism and smile he made my trip happy.

Even though there were many free tables in the restaurant, we were not allowed to sit down and eat the burgers we bought at the counter. We had to eat the burgers at the gate. It was disappointing, so we decided to have our drinks at another place.

Totally ordinary cafeteria food, just 3 times as expensive. I got a Wienersnitzel with mashed potatoes and some arugula. Missing peas, gravy, grated horseradish.

Very rude manager. At the entrance, we asked the manager if we can order a dessert, tea, and take some our own food because we already have it and we are in hurry for the plane. The manager said “ok, sure”. So we entered, ordered a dessert, tea, and took our food as discussed. Then he came back telling he did not understand, so “put your food back in the bag , drink your tea and then leave”. After arguing for 5 minuted he left. The waiter was helpful and tried to manage the situation and figure out what happened though. I would be 1 star if not the waiter. I do not recommend the bistro.

It's okay but expensive. Café completely messed up. Really embarrassing for a brand that has a so-called café as a business. Poorly brewed milk, burnt milk… even the best portafilter is of no use. Please provide good employee training.

Most terrible experience in my life!!! Air Canada gave for our family vouchers, when we came to bistro, first of all I asked 2 times, are they except that vouchers. Of course they confirmed that there will be no problems and they are ready to accept them. After we asked for the bill, miraculously the waiter switched to German and flatly refused his words about the voucher. and generally said that he was seeing us for the first time and we had not talked about any voucher! Totally scam!!! Rude staff!!! They scam people because you have little time before your flight and you won't call the police! If you don’t want to fill yourself like a fool do not visit that scam place!

Terrible service and outright fraud! We chose this restaurant because they promised to accept our vouchers, but when it came time to pay, they suddenly claimed they ‘don’t accept them.’ This was a complete lie, as we confirmed this in advance! The staff was rude and completely uninterested in resolving the issue. Instead of apologizing, they simply ignored us and left us to deal with the situation on our own. The manager acted like it wasn’t his problem and blamed us instead. It feels like we were deliberately scammed, lured in by false promises. We came here as a family to have a good time, and instead, we were made to look like fools and forced to pay out of pocket, even though this situation was entirely their fault. We will never come back here and strongly advise others to stay away! If you value your money and peace of mind, avoid this place at all costs!

One of the worst experiences in an airport: a sandwich for which you pay almost €8 and a water almost €5 and they don't let you sit at their tables, you have to eat it walking through the airport. Shameful! I don't recommend it to anyone. I won't be back!

I've often been here for brunch and coffee. Actually, everything always worked out. The coffee was always good. This time the staff at the host (05.01. 11:00 a.m.) were extremely unfriendly. As soon as we arrived, we wanted to change tables because the deep fryer smelled extremely bad. Although there were many free tables, the hostess ignored our request several times and said that we were not allowed to change tables. Completely incompetent and unfriendly. In the end, a competent service person found a solution. Too much excitement for no reason.

The Norwegian Ribeye steak with potatoes was excellent. The waitress was friendly, progressional, made useful suggestions, and was attentive. It didn’t feel like I was in an airport, where I was seated. The chefs were having a great time with each other as they worked.

Excellent menu and food right at the airport and downtown in Marienplatz. Wait time wasn't too long and presentation was very nice along with tasty food.

Asked for medium steak, got a well done steak. The prices are exorbitant - €80 for a soup, a steak, and two drinks. Waiter put a €7.10 tip to round up to €80 without my consent, the service wasn’t THAT good to warrant that tip.

Waited 10 minutes while seated and staff was standing next to us while there where only 2 other tables but nobody took our order. A good morning was also too much to ask when enterring...

I do not know how many times this restaurant has to receive the same review, but here it goes again. We bought two very expensive sushi boxes and wanted, obviously, to sit down to eat it. This time, besides being rude, they disrespectfully tried to fool us by saying there were tables across. When we got there, it was the regular gate seating… As bad as this was, we went back and told them there were no tables there. A second time around, another waiter told us there were tables 20 meters away. This was untrue, they were the tables of ANOTHER restaurant. What are they waiting to have just a few tall tables for the people buying from the take away / fast option?

The service left a lot to be desired as did the reaction time to my order. The dish chosen was very good, and the beer extraordinary.

It is an airport restaurant. So I expected 6-7€ for my beer. What i didn’t expect is soo much personal and so few service. They basically avoid eye contact and did let us sit and wait for about 10 minutes with 2 children. 3 beer, 1 pair weisswürste with pretzel and mustard, 1 latte macchiatto, 2 small waters and one piece of cake ~ 58,70 ✌🏻 Btw I’m sitting here with an empty glass for 25 minutes without anyone batting an eye 😂

Bunch of criminals. Server took a tip on my receipt of 8% without my approval. Probably because of Dallmyer underpaying their staff. Who is the criminal here? I advice readers to look somewhere else to eat in T2 of MUC airport.

❌ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS❌❗️ The shop was almost empty, there were more staff than guests, and STILL you weren't allowed to sit down at the cozy table. We were assigned a table in the passage and even there we weren't allowed to sit next to each other, only opposite each other. The waiter was totally rude, arrogant, unfriendly, and shouted at us because we sat next to each other to work. The woman at the next table also complained about him. It's really a shame that the brand name is being ruined by uneducated people. Dallmayr definitely needs to select its personnel better

Ribeye steak and rosemary potatoes were phenomenal. Fresh, hot and delicious. At times you have to try to get the staffs attention due to the amount of customers but they are kind.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to get to know your oh-so-posh establishment better. Half the store is empty and areas are cordoned off. Nevertheless, you are turned away when you ask for a table with a power outlet, which was also in the empty area. Reason: lack of staff. I would have sat quietly in the corner with a beer and a coffee - no big staff required. That's how I explained it to the usher, but unfortunately it was made very clear to me that I was back in Germany. Zero flexibility and insistence on instructions. Maybe you should remove the oversized "Service" lettering from your counter, because service is definitely different. Thanks for nothing!

Bistro was well attended but not completely full. There were four of us and we wanted to sit at a table for two because there are long, continuous benches. We were actually denied that. Dallmayer should introduce the staff to the idea of ​​service and more customer service. Even one star is too many for this promotion.

A tragedy, very rude service, as someone wrote below, you can't order coffee and sandwiches on site, because sandwiches are only available for takeaway. Instead, they will tell you to order some sausage or other full dish from the menu for €20. They follow some stupid rules as stubbornly as a donkey. Zero empathy and respect for the client.

Dropped...there is a certain expectation behind the name. You don't expect great culinary masterpieces from an airport café. Nevertheless, there are criticisms that might help to improve things: - Waiter not really unfriendly, but nice is different. Service is still quick, easy to reach and quite reliable. - The knives are unreasonable, especially for cutting up a pretzel. Please try it yourself. - The seating of the guests is probably important for organization, but is poorly received when foreigners don't really understand where they should sit and are then reprimanded quite harshly. During our stay, guests were twice reprimanded in a not very friendly manner, saying that they should take table A and not the equally free table B for two next to it. - The "extremely small" fruit salad is cheeky and overpriced. Conclusion: You can really do better at Dallmair 😉👍

Transit at Munich Airport and had this nice coffee from Dallmayar at Munich Airport, I wished I had room for a sandwich and the carrot cake!! 😍😂

The food here was good – you could easily compare it to a bistro in the city center. I had the Kalbslende steak, which was nicely done, although I would have liked a bit more sauce. The atmosphere was pleasant, especially considering the busy airport location. I was dining solo during a busy dinner hour, but the wait time was only 15 minutes. The staff did a great job managing the line, making sure everyone was seated fairly and quickly. Once seated, service was incredibly fast – my food arrived in just 12 minutes! Just a note for fellow travelers: if you have extra time to relax, consider giving up your seat after eating so those in a rush can have a chance to enjoy a meal too.

I come to this restaurant every month, and here’s a tip: order your steak extra rare, and you’ll get the best medium-rare steak in the airport! Also, Alex the waiter is really helpful and always makes the experience even better.
